Clean, quaint and quality! I have REALLY tight shoulder muscles from sitting all day at work. Ashley has been very helpful at releasing tension and asking what I need. This is not an overly fancy location, so if you are down to earth and looking for a relaxing massage by a professional, this is a great option! It is central and easy to get to, it is clean and the service is top notch!

Lisa, with an intensive course of massage therapy, that combined elements of active release, cupping and a stretching regimen, had me back at my trades job in no time. I was surprised that I could handle a deeper massage. She worked cautiously and gradually to increase the depth of her work, getting further than I expected. My profession in the biomedical field requires me to be on my feet all day, lifting and carrying items, plus computer work. Out of all the massage therapy places I have tried in Calgary, this place offers the most well rounded service. It is fairly priced, easy to locate, good availability and the website is user friendly for appointment bookings. Andrew Lauer is great at his job and cares about his clients well being. He practices active care rather than passive care, which definitely helps with recovery. I highly recommend this place.

They all have a very different technique, but all amazing just the same. They have a fabulous online booking system, and the atmosphere of the studio is lovely. As an active young person, I've been ignoring my body for years until I had too many aches and sores impacting my day to day. Found hands on massage therapy and its great reviews! So I went to see Andrew and he did not disappoint. I saw a noticeable difference after just the first session. He is very knowledgeable and showed me at home or in the gym habits to start to help my body even more. Don't let the location fool you! Tucked away upstairs behind a nondescript door lies Nirvana. I had the privilege of attending my first session with Kirby today and it was so much better than I could have imagined. I have fibromyalgia as well as a neck and back injury. Kirby not only managed to not hurt me during our session, but she helped me relax which is something that never happens. I may have nodded off for a minute or too, which just further proves how relaxed Kirby made me. Amazing price for an hour long massage and she was beautifully skilled. I can't wait to come back to this little slice of heaven!

I have been seeing Tammy for massage for many years. She is fantastic- sensitive yet strong and firm - and highly intuitive - seems to always know exactly where to focus. (plus a wonderful person all around) I've also had massages from other members of the team and they have all been wonderful. I have some injuries and have always felt listened to and cared for. I especially enjoyed the cupping (Charlotte). The online booking system is great- the location convenient - and the space really nice (love the brick walls) I highly recommend this clinic!

Tammy was so kind and supportive. This was my first ever massage, and usually I don't really like people touching my body, however, after a car accident I knew I had to go in. Tammy made me feel so safe and relaxed, I've been so anxious following this accident and after leaving the massage I feel the best I've felt in over two weeks. Highly recommend. The clinic is small, but is still a very clean and relaxing environment.

Andrew is an amazing massage therapist! I have Fibromyalgia, and every appoinment we discuss all of my symptoms, intersecting medical issues, and what can be done to alleviate some of the pain. He actually listens and does his best to help me feel better, even if it's temporary. Please note that he never steps outside the limits of his professional qualifications (e.g. giving dietary or naturopathic advice), merely that invests all of his effort and skill in my care. Plus, he is super friendly! I highly recommend him.

As the review says, dont be fooled by the location. Kirby gave a very good message and relieved me from back and neck pain. She also taught few stretches. Update 14 November 2018 Its Leslie this time, I had severe neck and shoulder pain, she took time to find the knot hidden inside the collar bone and fixed the pain. This place is a real Gem.

I've only had Andrew and he is very knowledgeable. He is one of two people who have ever noticed an irregularity in my wrists (which has been an issue for me that no one could figure out). He definitely understands muscle tension and provides tips on what you can do to ease tightness. He advised me to use a foam roller and even sent me links to YouTube videos that teach you how to use it properly.

I messed up my hips pretty bad due to stress and clenching during a lumbar tap. I was referred to Hands On Massage by a friend, and it was super convenient for me to get to so I figured why not. I had already given myself tennis elbow trying to yoga away my problems. Firstly, let me say that their COVID protocols are ON. POINT. They take as many precautions as possible. Secondly, the therapist I saw, Tanya, is a national treasure. F@%# the Nordic Spa, and the flashy wellness centers; come here. Tanya will reach inside your flesh and forcibly untie the knots in your muscles (not literally but my back muscles are usually slabs of rock and today I came home vibing with regular meat strip muscles, and that's some actual witchcraft). I'm definitely booking back in, because I left feeling like a human being instead of a rock golem in a skin suit and I like that for me. 10/10 give them your business.

My profession requires me to be on my feet for long 12 hour shifts, as a result, lower back pain is an issue for me. I have been going to Tammy for years, and have never been disappointed. She is highly knowledgeable in physiology, and uses that knowledge and her many years of experience to skillfully target my problem areas . I travel a lot, and have had massages at my places of travel, and have found that no other therapist ever compares. Along with the exceptional skill level, the calming loveliness of the clinic, the willingness to be accommodate my crazy schedule, and the heated massage tables...need I say more...this clinic is the BEST!

I went to the website, handsonmassagetherapy.ca, they have online booking, after I booked the massage, I received a confirmation email with all the info and a code to get in the building. I also received a reminder email 24 hours before my appointment. Very impressed! More impressive was the massage treatment. I asked for deep tissue, I got it! I had relief I hadn't had in years. The second appointment, I emailed Tammy directly, I had a response in under 5 minutes and a confirmation email. I would recommend this establishment for a number of reasons, professionalism, knowledge, promptness and ease. They have been in business for 25 years apparently, and it shows!

I have been seeing Tammy Paice, the owner at Hands on Massage Therapy for almost 20 years. She gives an exceptional massage! I have experimented with other therapists throughout the years but in my opinion no one comes close to her. More important than her massage skills are her desire to go above and beyond for her long term clients. Some of whom she had had much longer than 20 years. There have been multiple times throughout our relationship where she has moved appointments to fit in 2 clients in instead of just one because of an emergency injury or upcoming athletic event. She chooses to care for her clients and her business which is a very admirable choice given she is balancing a owning a business and caring for a young family. She takes the time to get to know her clients, understands what they are striving to achieve or heal and supports them both emotionally and through massage. Without her massage and positive supportive attitude it’s unlikely I would have been able to play premier league soccer and complete triathlons post motor vehicle accident in 2008. She is an incredible business woman, mother and friend. I am honoured to write a review for her and Hands on Massage Therapy.

I have tried this place a few times and will not go back. They have two massage rooms and one of them (close to the laundry room) has an extremely uncomfortable masage table. The head piece is very hard and too low that I could not get comfortable. I asked for a full body massage for 90 minutes and did not get any massage done on my arms or front of my legs. It seemed like he was killing time half of the session, massaging my scalp and my neck repeatedly. Those were not my problem areas at all. I was disappointed and more tensed after the massage.

Their price is very reasonable and their staff is courteous and professional. Even during covid times, I always felt safe to get a massage from Hands On. Both my wife and I have been seeing Lisa Chepil as our therapist for a few years now. She is friendly, professional, and most importantly, an expert in her field. I get a lot of neck/shoulder pain from computer work but Lisa always fixes me right up! She's a lifesaver! Thank You Lisa! I have never left a review for anything before but I feel Tammy and her clinic deserve one. My husband has been going to see Tammy for a while and recommended me to see her for a long time. I have body issues and as a result I have high anxiety so I never wanted to go. We were in the mountains a few weeks ago and after a long hike, my back was done! I couldn’t get up off the bed. On a Saturday night, my husband emailed Tammy and told her what was going on with me and if I could see her asap. She responded immediately. She booked me in her first available time, which was about a week out but send my husband videos of YouTube stretches and a step by step instructions to provide me with massage to give me some relief. This all helped enough to get me out of the hotel and able to walk a little. When I went to see Tammy I was very nervous as I mentioned above. The minute I walked into her clinic, she makes you feel safe and calm. She has a way of completely making you feel at ease with her. The massage was unbelievably fantastic. She knows her stuff! But never once talks down to you, her style is slow and deep but the level of serenity her and the clinic provide makes you forget she’s coming at you with the force of a Viking on the battlefield. Also their high Covid protocols are still in place.I am so happy my husband found her and this gem of a clinic!
