She's no longer going to her massage appointment tmrw and I don't think she will be again.. very disappointed that a company would go and disregard a surprise, even if it wasn't on purpose.

Approx six weeks ago, I had my first laser treatment under my arms to hopefully remove unwanted hair. I am about to have my second in a couple of days. Over that time frame, I have almost thrown away the razor because of the lack of needing to use one. Very happy with the results.

All of the staff have been very well trained, are knowledgeable and friendly and a pleasure to visit. In particular, I feel that Floyd is one of the best massage therapists I have ever received treatment from. Also, the spa itself is run very professionally and smoothly. I have been going to Beauty Works Day Spa since 2015, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have been doing laser hair removal with Rhonda, and it is the best decision ever, laser hair removal works, I am glad and not ashamed to go at the beach anymore. Laser hair removal gave me back my confidence, the results are amazing/extremely surprising. Just after the first treatment I noticed the hair growing finer, lighter and slower. I then tried my first chemical peel with Beth, and I cannot wait for my second appointment. Beth gave me all instructions (what to do & what not to do) after the appointment. After first appointment my pores were smaller and the texture of my skin was smoother and more even. Next step I will for sure try Microdermabrasion as well as well as the OxyGeno facial. It's always nice to book an appointment by phone as Bev is pleasant and helpful person, she will try her best to accommodate with day/time you would wish to book. Thank you Beauty Works Day Spa :-).

I have been getting medi spa services here for the last 2 years and my skin hasn't looked this good since my 20's... I'm 39. I have also had a spa package that included a vichy shower exfoliating body treatment and was able to use the sauna, steam room and massage chairs. Everything was very clean and simply amazing!!! I highly recommend this spa especially for it knowledgeable staff in the medical spa treatments.

Recently, I have started my treatments for the Hollywood peel that Beauty Works offers. After only 2 treatments, I have had a noticeable difference in the appearance of my skin. I am so excited to see results after a few more treatments! As well as doing the peel, I have also started a new skincare regimen. The Alumier acne line has helped treat my acne as well as prevent it. Usually, acne products dry my skin out. The Alumier line keeps my skin hydrated. I love coming to Beauty Works because I know that I will always have a pleasant experience! The employees always offer great customer service and professionalism.

Started the process of Laser tattoo removal and had one session and noticed no change. I had previously wrote a review indicating as such. This Spa has offered me a free session to give me some confidence in the proceedure. We'll see how it goes and update accordingly. The atmosphere here however is very clean and inviting and the staff have always been polite and professional at all times.

I used to live in Belleville and would go to the Beauty Works for facials, pedicures and manicures and once for a hot stone massage. The ambience is always relaxing. The staff is always courteous and friendly. The services are wonderful. I’ve actually known Rhonda for more than 20 years when she did my eyebrows in her old location. I now live in the Durham area and I have to say that I miss the Beauty Works so much. Nowhere I’ve gone since moving almost 10 years ago has been the same. I’m going to make an appointment and just drive the hour to see everyone again at the Beauty Works. It’s worth it!!

So i bought my girlfriend a serenity retreat package for Christmas for $418 to find out that a Full Body Massage is actualy a rub on your back and your calf muscles because it does not include a registered massage therapist. Both my girlfriend and I are extremely dissapointed as that was the whole reason I purchased the package for her. Everything there are things you can do at home for free and pay $3.50 for the sauna at the YMCA. She said it was nice and peacefull but not atall what she expected for $400+

I have been coming to BWDS for a few years now. Not only because the quality of service is great. There is the friendly greeting from the girls behind the front desk. The beautiful +calming atmosphere. Then there is Meaghan who takes good care of me. Whether it is a brow waxing or the best foot spa ...pedicure. She makes my visits quite special, we share stories. By the time I leave i am totally relaxed and feeling good about myself. My family no longer asks what I would like for birthdays or Christmas they know BWDS gift certificate always my favorite. You must be very proud to know your staff are not just knowledgeable but very caring as well.

Very disappointed with my experience at Beauty Works Day spa today... I have never had a pedicure that hurt so much. She was very rough with the file and there is polish all around my nails on the skin. My small baby toe is missing paint. Will never go back. And it's very expensive. My gel manicure has flexs of dirty cured into the paint. No hand/arm message with this service either..... over all very disappointed. I have pictures but can't seem to post them here.

I had eyebrow ablacia proceedure done with Rhonda. Lost eyebrows due to alopecia. I drew them in for a year and a half and got fedup with getting alignment correct. Am absolutely thrilled with my new eyebrows. Rhonda is very skilled and checks out thoroughly what you want and results your looking to achieve. The spa itself is beautiful. Pristine condition. I arrived to a sweltering waiting room. (It’s almost summer please turn up the AC) The technician who did my facial noted how hot I was and removed the heating pad from my chest (thank you!). She asked if I wanted to “upgrade” my facial... the gift card my husband purchased paid for this. She had no idea what she was giving me.. I suggested something to cool me down! The process was very relaxing, the music is on point and I felt very at ease. That being said when I was done I had a lot of cream through my hair that I was trying to pick out on the way home. It was thick and greasy and left me feeling like I had to go home and get cleaned up which..I did. (Are showers required for your hair after a facial? Maybe it’s just me.) Onto my “deluxe” pedicure. To be frank you get the same if not better experience at a typical nail salon although I did get a glass of water and hand massage I guess this is where the deluxe comes in. The tech asked if I was doing the same color for my manicure - I said I would like a French and the other tech responded she didn’t have time for that. The massage chair is typical at any salon along with the scrub. Nail polish on my skin. The tech who did my hands was very friendly but again nothing special. It was clear she was rushed and ended with a “I suggest you wait in the waiting room for 10-15 minutes so the top coat can dry”. Yes the polish they use does not contain certain harmful chemicals so it’s hours to dry. I have a dent in my thumb from the next morning. Yay for no harmful chemicals, nay for polish that doesn’t dry for hours. I cashed out and presented my gift card I know my husband had paid $250 and upwards for. She told me my total was $228 and some odd cents and then explained my gift card had more than enough funds on it and discarded the card and the receipt showing the balance and transaction details. Overall it’s a beautiful well maintained location but the services I had weren’t great and certainly nothing I would over pay for again for the “spa” experience. I’ve had far better experiences at the typical nail salons. I’d maybe try a massage or other service.

The Beauty Works facility is always spotless and welcoming with seasonal decor, beverages, magazines, flyers, aromas and staff. Rhonda keeps up to date with technology and she and her staff are always eager to explain new procedures and techniques to you. The staff are well educated in the services they provide and will answer any and all questions or concerns you may have. Over the years I have used many of the Spa's services and have never had an unpleasant experience. Whether you are looking for a single service or a refreshing and relaxing day at the spa, the staff at Beauty Works are always prepared to pamper you and make you feel special.

We enjoyed the Ultimate Spa Head to Toe facial, a lovely lunch & spa pedicures. The products used during the facial were not heavily scented and felt wonderful going on! I have been to Beauty Works twice for laser tattoo removal-- I have also been to Motor City Tattoo in Oshawa for two removal sessions. Both times at Beauty Works I was charged more and left with no visible changes to my tattoo. In fact, the second time I went to Beauty Works, the removal process did not even leave a "frost." Despite being told that their machine is the best on the market, and despite paying more than I did at Motor City Tattoo for removal, I feel as though I have wasted 700+ dollars and my time on their services. I have an understanding of how the removal process works, and I can tell you that after having my removals done at Motor City Tattoo there was noticable difference and fading in the area treated by laser, where my experiences with Beauty Works there was not. Beauty Works was not even willing to price match with Motor City Tattoo, despite Motor City services being superior. I will definitely not be going back for more sessions.

I am extremely impressed with registered massage therapist Alex Ma. I had some upper back pain that I thought was from a pinched nerve. After I read that Alex came from a background of Traditional Chinese Medicine and specialized in sports medicine, as well as pain and trauma management, I knew I had to see him. His therapeutic massage is incredible and he knows exactly how to find the trigger points. Even though every minute isn't always pleasant, it is very much required! He knows what he is doing and has an amazing ability. I am happy to say that my upper back pain is gone. I highly recommend Alex to anyone experiencing pain in any area of your body and to read about his many qualifications, on the website. You will be both amazed and delighted!

Had my bio gel and tips on my nails for a wedding using a gift certificate I had been given. The tips chosen did not fit my nails properly, some too narrow other too wide, tips put too far down on my nail and not filled properly leaving visible ridges where the tip ended. One nail fell off during the event 1 day after I had them done. My one finger was throbbing and I realized that it was because the tip was too big and putting pressure on the sides of my nail bed. I went to Paris nails a couple of days later. They removed the mess and put new nails on which were beautiful, fit and did not make my fingers hurt. It also cost a lot less for them to undo and fix my nails than at beauty works. I had some money left on the gift certificate and asked if I could leave it for a tip but was informed I couldn’t because it was a gift certificate. Why not? A certificate should be as good as cash! Then asked if I could use the balance to buy some matching nail polish. The receptionist told me that they didn’t sell the nail polish that was used on my nails but didn’t offer anything else. Very disappointed would not go back or recommend this place.

For Christmas last year (2014) my husband bought me a gift certificate for beauty works. I personally went in to book a manicure for myself and my daughter who would be visiting from California. At the time I asked if I could also get my two year old Grand Daughters nails done and was told she was too young. So my appointment was for 4:45 and my daughters was 5:00. We arrived at beauty works at 4:35 and waited in the waiting room until 5:10 when they came and took us both in. Twice I asked if our appointments were correct and twice I was told yes. There was no one else in the manicure room, we were just left to wait. Finally we had our nails done and of course my Grand daughter was restless by this time and very upset. Our nails were done and we were told to wait ten minutes then give it an hour for them to dry completely!! On the way out I was called into an office to be told that CHILDREN WERE NOT ALLOWED! Had we been told this when we arrived we would have gladly gone elsewhere or if we had been taken in to our appointments on time I could have taken my Grand daughter outside to play and then her mother could have taken her!! I am still very upset by our treatment and will go to Polish for now on. My daughters nails were smudged by the time we got to the car! I am still so upset by our treatment, shame on you Beauty works, I will never be back! Thank you Rhonda for your response and I just wanted to elaborate NOT ONCE was I offered to be taken in on my appointment time, in fact I asked twice if I had our appointments right! Thank you for your response, it is still and will always be a horrible experience.
