I recently had a 50 min relaxation massage at Hand & Stone and it was anything but relaxing. During my massage, the table I was on was unstable and rocking while I was being massaged - so much so that when the masseuse was working on my feet, the table was repeatedly knocking into my head. I advised the masseuse that the table was rocking (not sure how she couldn't feel it herself) and her response was "oh, ok". The furnace was so loud in the room that it was all I could hear during my entire massage - I couldn't hear the music over the noise of the fan and the masseuse had a hard time hearing me over it. When I walked out to reception to pay, the receptionist asked "how was your massage?" and I advised her of my above experience and her response was "I'll make note of that" then gave me my total owed. No apology, no empathy, no attempt to improve my experience, no offer of compensation or discount - just a "give us your money and go" attitude. The RMT herself was good, the massage was good, but the room I was in totally ruined the entire massage and experience. I'm new to the area and tried Hand & Stone based on Google reviews. I will not be returning.

I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for massage therapy. I had an appointment there because I was in need of a relaxation massage to help me to destress. I was in the room and one of the first things that the RMT said to me was "I won't be doing much massaging." And that is exactly what happened, it was not a massage so much as a visit to the physiotherapist where they focused on stretching and manipulation of your muscles and joints. The RMT also did NOT touch my back even though I had told her that I frequently have back pain. Not too sure how the rest of the spas and RMTs hold up to the standards that they say they do. Very disappointing.

We had our first couple’s massage today and it was great!!! I’ve had numerous massages and this was by far the best I have ever had! Crystal was fantastic and definitely helped with the issues I’ve been experiencing. It was so good that we both decided to join their membership/loyalty program. Highly recommended!

asked before I made my appointment if I would be seeing an RMT and getting a deep tissue massage as I had a prescription for massage therapy. I was told yes. The quality of my massage was good, however the service was strange and unethical. I was informed that my first massage would be one price, and from now on it would be about 30$ more unless I signed up for a plan, where I could get the lower priced massages but had to commit to a monthly massage for a year. Also, when I was filling out medical and personal paperwork, the receptionist had slipped in a form on my clipboard. It was to add services onto my massage (ex. Aromatherapy for $10, extra 10 minutes for $10, facials, waxing, etc.). I chose to not add anything on. When I went to pay, I was pressured into choosing the monthly plan. Then I asked to pay for my massage in part cash and part debit. I was asked immediately "Is your tip coming out if the cash portion?" And there was also a gratuity envelope on the wall with suggested amounts. How sad... RMTs are medical professionals and tipping them is like tipping a chiropractor, doctor, nurse, etc. I would never recommend this place for anyone looking for massage therapy. If you want a massage that is overpriced where you can add on fifty things and not see any certificates on the wall, then go here. My masseuse didn't talk about his education at all, and was flirting on me throughout my entire session. I was desperate to get some terrible knots out and I had no idea what I was getting into... I will never be back.

My experience was amazing second time being massaged by Michelle and I am amazed on how accurately she gets every spot that I need done with out me really even telling her where the spots are. I train and work out almost 6 days a week along with work and this was the perfect massage to get me ready for the new week. I highly recommend this location as the staff is very friendly and I've only been massaged by one person who I already mentioned her name was Michelle and I would recommend her to anyone! They had a spot available and booked me in at the last minute, which I was very happy about! My RMT was Rostyslav and he was friendly and professional. My massage was excellent... Rude staff. I asked for deep pressure and she said that she's not allowed to? At that point I had already taken time off work so I went through with it anyways. Then afterwards the receptionist says they don't submit insurance claims for you? I've literally never had a massage therapist not submit the claim for me. Probably won't be returning. Massage was okay but not as asked for and the therapist needs to cut her nails as they were scratching me the whole time.

Excellent customer service! I have been to different spas and this one for sure is to be frequented. Sarah D. was very sensitive to my feelings of how much pressure to apply and always checking if I was feeling discomfort. This show she k owns what she is doing and most important provided warnings after the massage so I know it is ok to feel what I feel after the massage session. Definitely will be coming back to this business. The person at the front was also very friendly and accommodating when we arrived. Again excellent customer service!

I was very disappointed in the massage I received. The details of the treatment were not explained before hand and when I asked for the pressure to be adjusted, it wasn't. At the end of the treatment when I went to pay the debit/credit machine prompted me to leave a tip with no way to opt out. I am an avid tipper when it comes to services like massage because my career is closely related. But I also believe that if you aren't satisfied with the service, you should be granted the option to not tip. The therapist I saw was not very friendly or professional. I most definitely will not be going back.

At first, I was upset and shocked my appointment was cancelled within 15 mins of the scheduled timing which I book several months in advance. I had a babysitter booked and paid for and I had just pulled into park place. BUT we are a human, emergencies happen, life happens. I decided to rebook as I've never had a facial before and I had a gift card to use. When rebooking, the receptionist said they would comp my services for the mistakes from my previous booking. I went to my appointment and LOVED it! My aesthetician was amazing. She created a great atmosphere and explained what was happening and when. I actually fell asleep for a brief moment! It was great. When I came out of the appointment my services minus my upgrade were comped! I was shocked and amazed. 100% will be going back. Thank you for a great first experience Hand & Stone!
