While they expect us to accommodate their last minute cancellations, they wouldn't accommodate even a 20 minute delay from our end... ended up having a 40 minute massage and paying for an hour. Moreover, it was a noisy place too with some construction happening next door ... I hope they let their customers know of such noisy activities before booking them, the whole session was annoying. Wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend them.

They injured my back. The skin on my back was flawless before coming here. I was left with bruises and what looked like a rug burn where the therapist was rubbing the same area causing extreme friction-More of burning the skin than a massage, also done with one hand?.. Also, I now have some sort of back acne. All over my back. I am absolutely devastated. Can't believe these people are certified.

I started going to Massage Addict at this location just weeks after they first opened. I love my RMT and am excited about the other services that are offered. I have always felt welcomed and it is a clean inviting atmosphere. I moved my membership over to the 2nd location in West Brant as it was a closer drive for me and I still receive the same excellent service. The owners are wonderful community minded people. Highly recommend Massage Addict.

I had a bad experience with these people 3 years ago and stopped going. After the whole covid19 situation for my first massage since, I gave these guys a chance, thinking of supporting local business, but was disappointed even more! When you book a massage, 9/10 of the therapists listed do not have a bio. But I didn't pay too much attention to that. But after my session, I got told that my insurance is not valid, and after making me call my insurance and wasting 20 minutes, my insurance said that the therapist is not registered by the provider!! While his name has been showing up on their web site appointment booking section for over a week. Despite that the receptionist blamed my insurance and forced me to pay. While in the last 15 years I have never had a problem with my insurance provider! I still want to support local businesses but not this place. This place is run by unreliable people with questionable business ethics, so be aware and stay away!!! I wish I could give a below 0 rating here! 3 Year Old Review: Very unskilled therapist.

I should say I am addicted now to massage addict . I had the best experience with massage for the first time in Calgary with Vince in the Shawnessy location . I am so glad to have found him . He is doing an amazing job. I had so much pain in my neck and my back but now no more pain after one session. The therapist talked non stop from beginning to the end of my massage. In no way i felt relaxed. She hardly used any pressure. I came home feeling someone just applied oil on me thats all. I wont be going back. They need professional RMTs.

update: they contacted me within 24hours of writing this and corrected the issues that i had and offered me a complimentary massage. I have yet to book it but am looking forward to trying this establishment again. Had a massage on june 9th at the Shawnessy location and to put it simply it was the worst massage ever. When i emailed this location to let them know about my experiance they didn't even give me the descency of writing back so i decided it was time to turn to google. The massage therapist and i spoke at the beginning about the spots I needed to have worked on and when I laid down I felt as if she got lost in conversation and missed the spots that we had spoken about. On top of that the conversation did not end up being very relaxing and left me feeling a bit defensive. Horidly the massage therapist used gloves during my massage because of a chemical burn she had on her hand which she described to me in great detail. The whole experience left me feeling not very comfortable especially because no body wants to have rubber gloves all over their body for 60 mins. i was very disapointed as it was my first time here and had to pay out of pocket for my experiance. Lastly, within several hours of the massage my entire upper back and neck froze up and i ended up being in more pain then when i arrived at the establishment, not to mention i have also had to see my chiroprator twice since the massage in order to fix what the massage therapist had done. Very disapointed with my experiance.

OMG.... The receptionist is so rude. I called her and I said that I have family emergency that wont make me able to make it and she was like "okay, I need your credit card because I am going charge you anyway or your bill will go to the collection" I said charging me for what its family emergency" and she did not care . It was my first time massage and I was so naive, so I tried to work it out with my wife and she got handle it. Anyway, I made it there almost 20 mins after my appointment. The receptionist was on phone and kept me waiting another 10 mins. When i have been inside the masseuse had finger nail or something that was scratching my back and was so irritating. Eventually, she gave me a massage for 30 mins and I have got charged for full one hour. Later on I have been somewhere else "So i got the chance to compare" been to the new place late for 10 mins and they were okay and gave me even a better massage. I do not recommended at all. Even my friend who recommended the massage addict to me, I told her about the new place and she loved it and stopped going to this horrible place anymore

Horrible customer service at the Cambridge location. The woman at the reception is rude and extremely unprofessional. First she made me wait for 10 mins to deal with another angry customer, they started my session late and did not even compensate me for their delay. Then she overcharged me, did wrong billing and was totally unapologetic about my experience. She kept saying ‘ I don’t care’. Well, if she does not care about the business then she does not deserve any business from my family and friends for sure. I am only giving one star because zero is not an option. Shame!

Spring Garden Massage Addict front desk is always super welcoming and friendly. And Brandon is incredible. I always go in with 926383 problems and leave with 0. Every knot, every pinch is released. I highly recommend if you need deep work. He also uses a blade and it's unreal. Great conversation, super knowledgeable, really sweet. You can tell he always puts extra effort in to make sure you leave feeling relaxed, released and revived! Someone give this man an award thanks!

Great service and very professional. The staff are nice and the place is kept very clean. However, the company is deceiving on how long of a massage you actually get. An hour massage is actually 50 minutes, not 1 hour. What they don't tell you is part of your massage time is taken off while you are preparing for your massage (i.e. talking to your therapist and getting undressed). No other message place I've been to does this. When asked about it, they mentioned that this is why the have a lower rate than other places. This is a deceiving part of the business and I feel it needs to change.

Went for the reflexology treatment, got it for a good price. It was better than I thought. They only touch your feet, but it is extremely relaxing. Booked an appointment last night, called this morning and talked to a lady to cancel my appointment after being up all night with our new 6 week old kitten. She was very rude and unprofessional and hung up on me when I needed to reschedule. After this being my first time to try this place will never book again. Stay away and very unprofessional. Massage with Emily. I asked her kindly over 10 times in the course of an hour to please do deep tissue and rather than that she just gently open palmed rubbed lotion on my back for 60 minutes. I found it so stressful I stopped the massage and when I told the reception all they said was that Emily is very good. Perhaps she was having an off day, but I will not be returning. If you prefer a massage tailored to your individual needs or like deep tissue, I suggest asking for a different masseuse rather than Emily. Or just try a different massage company altogether.

I've been going to massage addict for almost a year. And last week was my last straw. I booked an appointment about two weeks in advance. I confirmed my appointment by text Then received a reminder call confirming my appointment. Due to my very busy work schedule I was unable to call them back right away. But I was able to confirm to the text message that was sent. A few hours before my appointment I received an email saying that my appointment has been cancelled. I've taking half day off of work to make this appointment due to a previous back injury. And you send me an email to cancel the appointment! That is unacceptable. I have never had this issue before when booking appointment online or in person. I can confirm by text or sometimes When I was done work I contacted massage addict the lady but I was speaking to was willing to rebook another appointment if I was able to make it there in 10 minutes. I work about 40 minutes away there's no way I'll be able to get there in 10 minutes. That was her only solution! The bottom line is, If you were going to cancel an appointment it should be done by telephone and if you're not able to get ahold of me or anyone else then leave a voicemail or send a text like you usually do. Not done in an email. And it should be done within 24 hours

I’m kind of disappointed with the massage I had today. I arrived there late, however I still had 40min for my massage, which in my opinion still a great amount of time. When I entered the room I was asked about which parts I’d like to focus followed of “I don’t have time to do the whole body, so I recommend one part, not more than 2”: so I said: “my back and my feet then”. Conclusion: I’d say that she spent 35min on my back and 5 on my feet. I felt that most of the time she was doing the massage with only one hand, also it became too much time on the same area, and the intensity became super super light. I could feel the massage was bored, too much time doing the same movement at the same area, and to be honest we had enough time to do other parts. The first time I went there the other person was super nice, gave me suggestions of some exercises that he would recommend to do at home, during the massage he asked me many times how was the intensity, and so on. Even the receptionist asked me how was it and if I’d like to book another appointment. At this time no one asked me anything.

Don't let the ratings fool you.. this place is a hidden gem! Firstly, I want to emphasize how safe Massage Addict is being during COVID times for both our safety and the safety of their employees. They ask if you are showing any symptoms, if you have left the province recently and even take your temperature non-invasively. Reception was handled by kind, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable individuals. In my 5 minutes waiting time, I saw the receptionist calmly handle multiple phone calls, customers in queue, and even greet the departing clients on a first name basis. Very impressive. Most impressive of course was the magic hands of Melissa F. She was a miracle worker. My neck and back pain, which had afflicted me for 6+ months, and not fixed by an expensive new mattress and pillows, seemed to miraculously disappear in one session. More importantly though, her personality is out of this world. I could talk to her for hours. I'm lucky to live within walking distance of this wonderful place!

I booked my appointment in October 2018 and the only available date was Dec 29th at that time, so I accepted it. After 2 month being in the waiting list, they cancelled my appointment the night before the appointment day. I lost my 2018 therapy allowance as Addict couldn't reschedule me in 2018. We understand that unforeseen stuff happens but not having a back up plan is absolutely unprofessional.

99 times out of 100 you get a Massuese. Someone who just wants to rub some oil on you and call it a day. Some are better at this than others. Some in-tune. Most not. This place, however, has a healer. David is such a gifted massuese. He’s so intensely passionate about his work, he talks through everything he’s feeling and doing while encouraging you through the experience. You leave feeling cleansed. It’s on a whole other level. I’ll risk losing the ability to book him at all to share this gift of a human with you. Worth it.

I look forward to my bi-weekly visits to Andrea! The staff here are always courteous, helpful and super friendly! Everyone is always smiling which is infectious and the environment is always relaxing. I was extremely impressed with RMT Gary, he was very professional and attentive to my needs. Throughout the massage Gary techniques as well as different levels of pressure to suit my needs. My wife booked me a much needed deep tissue massage as part of a surprise birthday present. One of the best presents ever ! Chris was extremely professional knowledgeable, friendly and knew exactly how much pressure and where. He looks like a very strong man but I never felt he applied too much pressure and asked about my preference for strength. He made some friendly conversation at the beginning, more so to find out where I needed the most attention. All I can say is that I was oiled and this would've been great if I was suffering from really dry skin. As for a massage my grandma with stage 5 arthritis could do a much better job. To add insult to injury my therapist did not have smooth nails which left scratches on my neck. My poor wife felt so bad for me that she decided to pick up where they never started!

It was an amazing experience. I went for the first time and I found everything beyond my expectations. They have maintained a very good setup and an amazing ambience. My therapist was Roopam joshi. I must say she is very professional as well as friendly. I was having lower back pain and after the massage my pain was gone. She even suggested me some exercises to strengthen my back. I felt relaxed and so good after the treatment.

Highly recommend but book in advanced because she is booked up! As for the service from massage Addict I felt like some of the receptionist were rude and didn’t care for your concerns. I Called them with a concern and was told They would have someone call me back the next day, I had to call back in 2 weeks because I still haven’t heard back from anyone and this isn’t the first time, sadly this has happened twice. Amazing! I messed my hip up while stretching (you know you're getting old when...) and was in severe pain all day. I was lucky enough to get in to see Paul for a massage the same day and he saved me! Really amazing massage. Can't say enough good things. The location is great too, they do direct billing, and their membership is great because you just have to commit to a monthly massage (you can share your membership with family so myself and my wife take turns getting a massage every month). Here are the good things about this place. It is clean, professional and welcoming. You can sign a member ship contract for 12 months which mean you are required to get a massage each month or else you will be charged. When you are charged you can still use the credit for a massage which is really good. Here are the bad things you should know. Appointments are very slim as they book up very fast. You need to book 1-2 weeks in advance. This does not work for me as if i'm feeling sore from a work out I don't have the leisure of getting a massage at this place at my time. The second thing is the people massaging is not very good. I'm an avid massage addict and this place does not meet the minimum requirements of a good massage therapist. Heres how they can improve. Hire qualified staff who knows how to massage. Expand your resources so you can accommodate walkins after business hours.

Decided to switch locations and am I ever glad I did, I had the best deep tissue massage and came out like puddy, super relaxed and actually felt like I got treated for my tension and stress. One of the receptionists also did more without asking when they needed the other locations membership papers and did the calling and transfering herself and made sure to call back and tell me everything had been done and set up. I read all the comments before booking...and i decided to book anyway since this place is so close to my house. I booked a service for myself and my husband. My service was cancelled hours before i was supposed to go...and my husband go an 8:00pm appt. He told me that the RMT Nicholas seemed like he was in a rush to just finish. He asked my husband what was the target area and my husband had told him his entire back, neck and shoulders. The RMT only worked on the upper back and slightly on the neck for the entire hour.... My husband was very disappointed in the service he received and we are most likely to never go back here again . Very unfortunate...

Massage Addict is a new and innovating business for people who enjoys massages on a regular basis. Their membership fee is reasonable and the place is kept clean. I score this place a 3 star for the price, cleanliness and customer service - these guys are super nice from the therapists to the owners. They also have the most convenient online way of booking an appointment. They missed 2 points for the lack of available appointments and quality of massage. Trying to book a Saturday appointment 2 days in advance is cutting it short. These guys are fully booked which means their customer base is large enough to keep them busy so this issue we have may not be something they can resolve unless they get a bigger place and hire more staff. Another downfall we experienced is the quality of the massage. The therapists are not consistent with the massages. Sometimes we leave with our bodies feeling rejuvenated other times we would literally go for another massage elsewhere because they have always deliver super massages. Reason why we invested in Massage Addict is because it's very close to our home. For us the membership is not feasible because of these 2 issues. Other than that these guys are great and no we never raise the issue about the quality of the massage as we are very bashful towards complaining.

UPDATE Aug 2021: recently a week ago, i was contacted by massage addict management to re-visit the clinic and try the services again as new management had taken over since my last visit. I must say things have changed completely! The moment you step into the clinic you can feel the freshness and cleanliness. All covid precautions were in place, sanitization, temperature check, pre-screening and check in was pretty quick. Treatment room was equally clean with clean sheets, meeting ones expectations and standards of the franchise. My appointment was scheduled with Nidhi and she turned out to be an amazing therapist. I was so happy with my experience that i have rescheduled my next appointment for this week and will be signing up for the 12month plan. I am glad the management contacted me to revisit! Sometime in 2019: Pathetic service, smelly sheets as well the entire room was smelly. When asked the RMT she pulled out other new sheets which were equally bad. Despite making the situation better she started complaining of the management. Therapist was insensitive of how much pressure should be applied. She was texting during the massage, ignored and missed massaging one leg. Never going back.

I had a massage from Joyce and she was beyond amazing from beginning to end very professional, throughout the massage she explained if some areas were tighter or not and was asking if the pressure was ok. Customer service here is abismal. Booked a massage- it was cancelled less than an hour before it was supposed to happen by MA. It was rescheduled. Then on the day of my new appointment, MA calls again to cancel less than 2 hours before my massage. When I mention that this happened before the receptionist suggests “trying a different practitioner” I had another massage booked for today. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it as I ended up stuck in the city. I called as soon as I knew (3 hours before) and was informed that they would be expecting payment and this would go on my record.

I’ve Visited this Massage Addict location often, and can honestly say that they truly care. Not only are the staff always professional, pleasant, and informative, but they also really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and valued. The location is very clean and welcoming. Booking has never been an issue, and they are very quick to respond to and accommodate schedule changes whenever possible. Also, during COVID, they have even taken extra safety precautions above standard PPE requirements by using touchless thermometers, ensuring everyone uses hand sanitizer, and completing proper cleanings between patients. I always felt safe in their hands, so to speak. I’d definitely recommend this location. 10/10!

south barrie massage therapist was excellent - she heated the massage table or whatever its called...and the north barrie therapist gave my husband hot towels - that is fantastic. one therapist even gave me exercises to help heal and strengthen my calf muscle...and one actually gave my feet extra attention.... by and large each expereince has been pleasantly different and the only thing i would suggest is that they should ask all cx if they want the table heated up as i loved it ...and will ask for this in future when i return...

Very unpleasant experience, booked for one hour massage, got less then 40 minutes of massage and charged me full hour. Plus on top of that bed sheets are dirty. I dont think they change after the massage. Dont recommend ....even still want to go make sure to check the bed sheets are clean.

Best Massage Experience Ever! Being able to do it all on my phone is fast and convenient, the wait times are short as you show up and wait depending how early you show up. The Therapists can sometimes take you in early if they have no one else. Front desk is helpful, only downside is this parking lot sucks !

Good price but horrible service. I walked out of my first massage because the person was rude during the interview. When I was asked where it hurt, I tried to give him context first that I travel a lot and certain areas hurt because of that, he cut me off in a rude manner and told me to just be specific pointing his finger at me. I walked out right after that. Receptionist came up to me, apologized and recommended another person saying that he was the best one here. Service was absolutely mediocre, rushed, didn't bother to explain what was wrong with my body and how to improve. He just gave me a generic flyer of stretches. Also, nobody seems to like their jobs.
