I’ve been to many many massage places in Calgary and Apex is by far the best!!! First off, the location is great. It’s not too far north or south, it’s central. Second, the atmosphere inside is warm, inviting and zen-like as you’d expect from an upper class massage therapy place. Third, the front of house staff and any massage therapist that is around ALWAYS greet me with a smile on their face when I walk in the door! :) Fourth to make your life simple, Apex has an app to book all appointments online. I’m able to see what they offer (a few different types of massage for different amounts of time ranging from 30 min to 120 min) on their online schedule. This makes things super easy and hassle free for booking my massages. I’ve never had a bad massage here. I’ve tried relax, deep tissue, hot stone, Cupping and Fascial Streth massage. My favourite was the Hot Stone by Lisa. I share Apex with all of my friends and family as I have nothing bad to say about this place. I’ve been there about 10 times already and hope to keep this as my main place to get an awesome massage. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed to continue on with my day. ????????????????

Been going to Apex since their original location. I’ve always had a great experience. The therapists listen to what’s bothering you, address it and then always try and find the root cause to provide actual relief. My go to guy is Tim so if you need deep, deep tissue he’s the absolute best!

I booked using the online system and everything was quite simple. I received confirmation immediately that allowed me to add to my calendar. The location is in a residential area. Easy to find and reach. The staff are super friendly and get you set up asap. My first practitioner was quiet but went to work immediately and located every trouble spot. I welcomed the therapeutic pain level. I was thoroughly impressed. I enjoyed my session. I booked another session as I am a mess! The receptionist was nice and booked me for another appointment. I love the text system. I had an appointment with Shae and she rocks! Very strong, skilled, and intuitive (you could tell). She was friendly and reports her findings and recommendations. THIS IS WHAT I APPRECIATE AND LOOK FOR. She is a miracle worker. Definitely my fave. I can’t wait to return to Calgary. I highly recommend this business.

Apex is aesthetically very nice. The receptionist is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the massage rooms are clean and nicely decorated. One massage therapist couldn't get her music to work so we had silence, which was a shame, but not her fault. She did talk a lot throughout the massage though so it was not very relaxing. Apex has a lot of massage therapists and I found their website very easy to use to book appointments. You can filter to choose the same therapist each time, if you choose. They had good availability so it's easy to get in when you want if you don't mind which therapist you see. However, the RMTs have been very hit or miss for me from being too forward about what they think is "wrong" with you when you just want a relaxation massage, to being way too chatty. I have seen six different RMTs and am now going to try somewhere else as I couldn't find one there that worked for me. The last massage I received hurt a lot and the RMT persisted even when I said that it hurt, even though I had specifically said that I wanted a relaxation massage. The receptionist was very apologetic and friendly and partially refunded it, which was good. Another drawback is that they don't do direct billing to insurance. I had a mixed experience here - clean, lovely space, great receptionist, easy to book, but RMTs were not amazing.

The 90 minute treatment from Lucie was exactly what my body needed. Hadn't been back in 10+ years due to moving around and leaving the city, but was so happy to find them again on my visit back to Calgary. The space is warm and inviting, you instantly relax walking through the doors. Definitely recommended massage therapy

This was a great experience. Was my first time getting a massage as per directed by my doctor and i don't know why i hadn't gone in earlier. my therapist Lisa was great. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave all the staff are so friendly. Parking: They are located in a residential area next to a dance studio and a school. There is a lot of free street but pay attention to the no parking zones. I most definitely will be coming back.

I'm pretty picky about my massage therapists. I've gone to many clinics and seen many therapists. I absolutely love the therapy I receive from Stephan W. He is attentive to your wishes and is a great RMT. The clinic is great as well. The lobby is clean and welcoming. I do wish there was less of the weird stuff being advertised to you, but it is only limited to a bookshelf, so it's not bad. The washroom is always clean. I love the cloths in the washroom for hand drying. The staff typically do their job well, only one time was I not booked properly into an appointment. They aren't overly friendly, which some people may like, but they could be more personable.

I was able to get in on a Wednesday with Felicity for a 90 minute session and it was amazing. Her technique is really good and I requested light pressure and she accomodated my request. I was so relaxed i found myself falling asleep on the massage table! I feel much better and more relaxed than i did coming in. Highly recommend.

I used to come here quite often and had great massage therapists. However in the past year or so I've been finding the quality of the massages quite poor or my needs were not addressed. However it is very easy to book an appointment and they are quite accommodating. I'd just suggest you try to book with their more senior staff members.

My wife and i have been going to apex since november when we moved into calgary and my favorites are Dan and Regan i have had a couple others that were still good but just not my style, everybody is different but i love the atmosphere, pricey but super nice facility, although its hard to find a night where my favorite (Regan) and my wifes favorite (Lucie)are working and avaliable. Had my first ever message here and it was great! As someone suffering from a low back injury, I was advised by my physiotherapist to get message therapy for additional treatment. I had a 60 minute message session with Brittany and she focused on my low back area as well as legs to relieve the pain. The hotel towels that they place on you and the music are also nice additions. Afterwards, I feel a lot better now and I also like how they give you complimentary epsom salts for a nice warm bath to recover afterwards. Highly recommend!

Reagan Dizy is an amazingly gifted massage therapist. She knows EXACTLY where 'work' needs to be done. She is so skilled, I think her hands are magic! Reagan does far more than most therapists I've been to. She listens to your needs and knows what is needed. She uses cupping and pinpoints deep tissue issues. I so appreciate those strong hands! I didn't tell them I was pregnant beforehand (which I fully understand I should have as they told me). They told me some therapists do pregnancy massage and some don't. I feel I should have been offered to reschedule as my therapist would only work on my neck and upper back. I felt rushed and not asked about my problematic areas or offered exercises. In general, it did not feel accommodating but again rushed.

I booked an appointment here & the front lady was very unprofessional. We booked an appointment a few days in advance. She cancelled our appointment without confirming, we drove a long way just to get an massage here. When we got there she was sitting at the front desk, & told us that I cancelled it when I clearly didn't & even if I did, it would be common sense to confirm that I supposedly cancelled it. Huge lack of communication. When we got there she was just giving attitude, using unnecessary hand gestures and wouldn't help us at all, she just kept repeating "I don't know what to tell you, & I don't know what to do" she could've at least attempted to help us in any way? I called her afterwards asking why she cancelled it and she said "you said you might come, we're not going to wait around for someone that MAY or MAY not come" which I understand, but I made sure I confirmed that we would be there before I hung up, and she just cancelled it and didn't even tell us anything? She told us once we got there.She was giving a lot of attitude as well, if she picked up and apologized it would've been fine but she was just giving a lot of attitude, and being unprofessional why be a receptionist if you don't know how to communicate with people? ( I called prior to ask if we could push the appointment later about 15 minutes, because something came up) Her name is Sophie. Huge lack of communication, very unprofessional, & would not come back here again. ( posted this on tripadvisor, but doesn't let me respond to managers response) response to your comment: She didn't come at the original time, I told you she would be late and she was, and even if Sophie did try the rearrange the appointment, from what I was told it didn't seem like she was trying to help at all? She was just giving attitude, and lol "verbal abuse" I apologize for coming off rude, but if you were in our position you would be the same way, my sister drove an hour+ and my mom drove 30 minutes only because your employee lacks communication. Also, when I called back to ask for the managers number, I asked her for it and she was laughing? How professional right? I never told the manager I was sleeping, I did not say that & if I did so what? I'm busy, & It's 10am...... Also why call the manager now if i'm talking to you through here, why be on the phone and talk on here?

Like a similar review I just read, I am sure they have better massage therapists, but I was not impressed by who did my massage. I definitely asked for deep tissue when I made my reservation and I ended up with an older lady who didn't have strong hands. She did some good work with her elbows, but that doesn't cut it. I cannot believe how much money I just paid to not leave feeling awesome. Not to mention the music she played during my massage was painfully bad. I asked her to change it when we first started and then what she changed it to was just bad. Is it that hard to have relaxing music that isn't super cheesy. I know it's not that hard because I've had massages at a lot of other places. Anyways, if you're an athlete and want a good strong massage make that very clear when you call upfront. I thought saying deep tissue would be sufficient.

I have been to Apex a handful of times because they can usually get you in pretty quick when you need a last minute appt., which is nice when you are busy. Like others have said it is all about who you get when you are there. My RMT yesterday was not the best, the massage was a bit scattered at times and she did a great deal of the massage using her arms instead of hands, which for me does not feel good at all and does not seem to do nearly as good of a job as using your hands in my opinion. I had updated my medical form to include several procedures I have had on my legs and I also mentioned an area of my back which has been bothering me specifically to the RMT. She spent a great deal of time on my legs which was more painful than relaxing due to my history and she paid very little attention to the area of my back that I had pointed out to her. This facility is a little more expensive than my usual place, so I will just stick with who I know will do a great job every time, not just sometimes. UPDATED: So after my initial review Apex contacted me about my experience and really listened to my concerns, they invited me to come back and try a different RMT so my problems could be addressed. I saw Tim the second time around and he was great, really listened and addressed the areas we talked about.

He nailed it, exactly what I needed. My second experience at Apex was with Meeghan who I saw for a lymphatic drainage (MLD). WOW. Again, amazing. Just amazing. My first experience with MLD and I'm hooked - I feel like a new human. Both practitioners were extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable and totally put me at ease. Had a great massage here with Stefan Lewis. It was my first time into Apex, but it was a great experience. The environment is clean and modern. The tables are fully adjustable, which really helps the RMTs get into the right position to find every little knot. I can recommend Apex and in particular Stefan as a therapist. Bonus, the music he plays is way better than the typical enya type stuff (unless you're into that sort of thing).

I have scoliosis, and therapeutic massage is the main way I manage my chronic pain so having a skilled massage therapist who knows what they're doing is so so essential to my overall well-being. Margaret is very skilled and probably the best massage therapist I have gone to, and Apex Massage is an honest, down-to-earth business that I'm happy to support. Their building is always clean, comfortable, and calming, and I am always treated with kindness and respect while I'm there. Super easy to book and everything appears to be run really smoothly too. I tell pretty much everyone I know about this place, and I would definitely recommend Apex Massage to anyone looking for a great massage (therapeutic or otherwise).

Apex is a great massage place. Some rooms get a bit more noise depending if they are close to the front door or the street, but I usually relax enough not to really notice. I have a favourite therapist but she only works once per week. I have tried four or five therapists though and never been disappointed. Prices are reasonable. I just wish they did direct billing.

Apex has over 10 message therapist, I am sure they have great ones, but unfortunately I got a horrible one, I didn't feel relaxed after the message, my lower back pain hasn't been reduced, my neck was still stiff, and my shoulder was even tighter. I felt she just rubbing oil on my back, and missing all the muscles, or she doesn't know where is it. I booked the appointment by phone for a 60 minutes message, turns out I only got a 45 minutes message because the message therapist was off the clock during my 60 minutes. I will not recommend any of my friend to Apex. The experience was not enjoyable at allllll.

Seems to be a high staff turnover but I have had good experiences with everyone I have seen at Apex. You do often have to be very specific with what you want, but the nice thing is that all of their staff have their profiles/specializations posted so you can often pick someone a little more suited to what you need. Parking is quite limited at their new location.

I love the online/app booking and the availability of evening appointments. Some of the rooms are quieter than others as others have mentioned but I have never found it to interfere with my massage experience.

I've recently been struggling with frozen shoulder...many physio and chiro appointments later with no improvement, I finally booked a 90 minute appointment with Jorge as he had helped me with other shoulder issues in the past. I was literally blown away that after one treatment with Jorge my shoulder was significantly improved relative to achieving little or no relief from physio or chiro. I was feeling really defeated with such limited range of motion and it was affecting my daily activities. I am happy to report that my shoulder is SOOO Much better and I am so excited that Massage Therapy is finally getting the recognition that it is essential services as part of the our health care system.

Had a wonderful experience at Apex today! The facility was very clean and the atmosphere pleasant and relaxing. The receptionist, Monika, was welcoming and kind. My massage therapist, Thomas Frank, also made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I could tell that he was attentive and receptive to what I asked for in the massage, and was able to work well around an injury that I had. At the end, he suggested a couple of stretches and techniques that I could use to help with my sore muscles. Would definitely recommend Apex to a friend!

I had a terrible massage experience here. I rate my overall experience as 2 stars because the admin staff were great and booking was easy. Otherwise, I would have rated it lower. The most negative experience was I was not heard when I provided feedback to the massage therapist during the session. The therapist attributed my negative experience to the severity of my body tension and did not take any responsibility for not tailoring the treatment for my needs. I understand there is a client-therapist fit. But I feel it is not professional to blame the patient for a concern that brought me to your office.

I highly recommend Apex. The premises itself is very nice. It looks almost like a spa (but without the cucumber water and cookies that seemingly justify the exorbitant fees). Apex has much more reasonable fees than a spa, with the same (or better) results. The first time I went to Apex I didn't have a great experience, so they gave me the opportunity to try again. I'm glad they did, because the second time was far better! My massage therapist (Danny) was excellent. He listened to my concerns, and focused on the areas I asked him to focus on. He asked about the pressure and was very willing to adjust as needed. After the massage he gave me exercise recommendations to help with my shoulder tightness. And he was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. I should also note that both times I went with my partner, and she had great experiences both times (with Jerri-lyn and Karen). As others have said, I'd recommend you do a bit of research into which massage therapist you try. It makes a big difference. You can also ask the receptionist for recommendations based on your needs (deep tissue/relaxation, etc.). They know better than anyone which therapists get repeat business and positive reviews. I also appreciate Apex's customer service. They could have ignored my feedback, but instead they reached out to me and by doing that, they gained two customers. Thank you!

I was the very lucky winner of a gift card for the Christmas Facebook promotion, and I was so excited to use it! I do not regularly get massages, but my doctor has recommended that I start. I will definitely be a new regular client of Apex. From booking my appointment, to being welcomed at reception, to my massage, the services was excellent. My massage was intense (what I wanted), but the therapist was very good at reading my body language to know what I could handle and when to move on. Antoinette is excellent, knows what to work, providing helpful tips, and when to chat or quiet. The prices are on the higher end but worth every penny. There is complimentary water, herbal teas, juices (pending the day) and when I needed it, Epsom salts.

Took 3 phone calls and 2 emails over 2 days to get a pdf copy of the receipt. they have also have stopped answering the phone and make you text with some auto bot that doesn';t really answer your questions. I wish the admin side was better because this is a nice place with good people.

Amazing people, therapists, and management. I have probably been to 30 different massage businesses and Apex is by far my favourite. The building is so intimate while still being quite large, it's bussled in the community of Briar Hill, and the ambience is very relaxing. The therapists are extremely qualified, very professional, and the quality of the massages have all been top notch. They are not the most inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. I've even bought mint essential oils from them for home, which had made our house very "Zen". I highly recommend them to anyone

I came to Apex for the first time today as I was looking for a new massage therapist. I booked in with Michael Walker and all I can say was it was the best massage I’ve ever had in my life! I have lower back, and neck and shoulder pain. I was wanting a vey deep tissue massage with a lot of pressure. For the whole 60 minutes that was exactly what I got and I’ve never felt better after a massage. The place was beautiful, super clean, massage bed was warm, and the music was so relaxing. I will never go to another place again. Michael will be my new massage therapist, and I will tell all my family and friends about him! Absolutely amazing!!! He even gave me a free bag of Epsom salts as a gift! I would recommend him to anyone looking for an incredible massage experience!!

I have been multiple times. After having unsuccessful attempts at active release therapy that did little to nothing, I booked with Apex. I explained my problem to my therapist. She checked the location of my issue and worked on it, plus the other end of that muscle group, something the chiropractor never even suggested. Within two visits, she had dealt with the issue that I had struggled with for months. This year, after jamming my neck somehow, my therapist unjammed it with some deep tissue work. I had a massage in England to try and remedy it, the experience of which was extremely underwhelming. Couldn't wait to get back to Apex. I have nothing but praise for the therapists and staff.

Honestly if I could give a zero star I would. I have been a client of Apex Massage for many years where I go a few times throughout the year, including my husband. This morning I called and spoke with Brenda "the manager" because due to changes in our schedule, I needed to switch names on the 2 times i booked 3 weeks ago. Brenda then informed me that the time slot i had was no longer available and i said well when were you going to inform me. She stuttered and said tomorrow. Oh thanks Apex a day before the massage you are going to move my time? i am a mother with small children and had to book a babysitter for this massage and then would end up having to pay more for that. To top it all off, it's my birthday. Thank you for taking care of long standing client apex. You get zero stars,zero recommendations, and i will be sure to let all of the folks i already told you about to not go back. Brenda was not willing to help me at all!

I had the opportunity to visit Apex Massage yesterday for the first time. I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness and calm atmosphere of the lobby and massage rooms. That being said, what impressed me most was the fantastic massage I received from Jared! He put me instantly at ease and asked questions to understand what I was looking for from my treatment. The massage was excellent. Jared used a variety of techniques to target some of the problem areas in my back and hips and I finally feel like there’s hope to get rid of tightness and pain that I thought I’d just have to live with - what a relief! So happy that I’ve found Apex and Jared right in my neighbourhood! Looking forward to my next treatment already.

I visited Apex for the first time the other day and can easily say it will be a regular thing for me now. The atmosphere was very warm, quiet, and calming. My massage therapist was Felicity and she took the time to understand what type of pain I was experiencing and what type of treatment I was looking for. Her technique was excellent and pressure was perfect. For this visit I was really just looking for some relaxation and let me tell you I was definitely relaxed! The heated massage table and hot towels were also a nice touch. The only negative I can think of is that the lady at the front desk could have been more warm and welcoming. Let me say she wasn't rude by any means. But I had one of the last appointments and maybe she had a long day. Everyone is entitled to a bad day once in a while. Overall, an excellent experience well worth the trip across the city!

This year, I was determined to take advantage of my Massage Therapy benefits for once. As usual, 10 months in and I hadn't done anything about it, but my procrastination paid off in that it gave me a chance to go for a few visits within a couple months to Apex Massage. I was really happy with the service I received and the overall business. A few things I loved: 1) THE STAFF!: Over the course of a few visits, I was able to book massages with different therapists (there are a LOT of options). I wasn't ever disappointed, but I wanted to call out two in particular - Avery Allison or Jennie-Mae Mombourquette are amazing. Literally the best deep tissue massages I've ever had on my back/shoulders (found and worked out knots I didn't even know I had). 2) Location: There's parking in front of Apex and it's a 5 minute walk from the Lion's Park LRT stop. Super convenient! 3) Reception: They greet you by name, they're super friendly and the waiting area is comfortable and relaxing with tea and water to sip on well you wait. 4) The App: There's an Apex Massage app for your phone that makes it super convenient to see which therapists and time slots are available. Download it and book a visit!

I booked couples massages, this was our first time. After doing several massages I would say there's nothing special about this place. It's price higher than other places that spend more time with the actual massage. Also the receptionist ignored us when we came in, which I found very off putting. Felt like checking in was a nuisance for her. So she clearly wasn't interested in making us feel welcomed.
