While recent and ongoing redevelopment has made the parking lot a bit of a trial, the new offerings of fast food (Kawaii Crepe, OPA, DQ, Tim Hortons, Jollibee, etc.) are worth visiting.

Best place to watch East Indian movies, it the only theater in Winnipeg which plays Punjabi and Hindi movies. The ticket prices are reasonable too as compared to other theaters in the city.

Busy. Fix the thru traffic To add.. amazing centre but what were you thinking with the parking lot.. no room to get into the dang place. Your roads are too tiny and the set up for banking and placements of stores........ just fix getting in out and around the parking lot and you'll see a large increase in sales.

Unbelievably abysmal parking lot layout & traffic flow... whoever designed this travesty should have their accreditation revoked. This place is an accident that isn't even looking for a place to happen... it's here & now. Have no idea how the thought of having a restaurant smack in the middle of the parking lot & interrupting traffic was even considered & implemented!?!?! And other curb barriers make it impossible to travel from one side of the complex to the other if you happen to go in the wrong direction or aisle; had to go out to McPhillips & go around the block to get to another store!! Avoid if at all possible.

I can't really give it a fair rating at this time because everything's shut down for construction but I have MANY fond memories of coming here to Northgate Cinema to watch movies with friends. I'll always have a soft spot for here. Once construction is complete I will write again.

Great for numerous errands, banking, gas, restaurants, clothing shops, nail salon, grocery shopping, gym & other options. Although the parking lot layout is horrible for traffic flow often extremely congested with 3 of the different restaurants drive threws overlapping the intersections of commuting vehicles. Dangerous choices for entrance & exit. Not only to mention the rear end hazard for cars pedestrians equally at risk! Keep your eyes open & be prepared to halt at extremely little notice.

I like the stores here. However this parking lot is the worst in the city. I don't know who designed this place but its absolutely terrible. Jolly bee should have an entrance coming from the other side of the concrete barrier so its not backing up traffic. The Tim's exit is in such a terrible spot. I wouldn't even know how you could fix it because of where Tim Hortons is. Terrible placement for that entire strip of buildings. Definitely an accident waiting to happen.

This place has been updated to the point that it is no longer recognizable. Which is actually fantastic as it needed a huge upgrade. The new stores are great and lean toward an ethnic group. There is a Jollibee, Korean garden, mexican and even sweet treats. The parking lot is horrible though and gives me a lot of anxiety as people drive through so quickly. A lot of arguments happen in this parking lot.

With recent changes the mall parking and traffic flow is terrible. They put one of the buildings in the centre of the original entrance/exit. Poorly designed. The new business in their are great, but overall design is terrible.

Actually, I went to Tim's and Save on foods at Northgate. Got my ice coffee and my groceries with no problem. I did find that Save On Foods is pretty expensive compared to the rest. Tim's is always understaffed (actually, there are 6 people working, just not at the counter, pretty slow tbh)

This parking lots is INSANE. Way too many stores in a small footprint. Drive-thru line-ups are constantly blocking thruways. Lots of blind spots. I imagine there are a lot of fender benders there. Decent selection of stores though.

This place has changed in recent years. They now have a Kawaii Crepe, Jollibee, and I spotted Mexican food here too! Save On International (aisles of items from Britain, Italy, Eastern Europe, China, Philippines, India, etc) grocers (try their ready food chicken wing bar, perogy bar, pizza take out, Chinese take out ???? so good!) is here and shoe outlet ... there are too many to mention so check it out for yourself!

It appears quite busy, can be tough to navigate based on the parking lot access. The Save on foods location has the most extensive international food items out of the Canadian grocery store chains. I like the update to the area except the traffic.

Great place to go new design is better to bad we lost some good stores. Got some good new ones though. Update signs and posting would be nice. And careful watch were you walk now people in cars do not care about you. RBC Bank drive thru is placed with out direction signs that was fun to watch a near head on collision because its reversed for it's old location.

I like going to northgate because it is less packed than Garden City mall and has cheaper selections for food. There is also a movie theatre there that is fantastic. For 4 dollars a movie and a dollarama right outside of it, you can't go wrong. The international 'save on foods' (Amazing!) is right outside the mall and there is also a Tim Hortons right next to that.

They are really improving the whole place. Exterior is basically done and looks great! Theres a new access hall from the back of the mall that takes you to the theater, you can't enter the theater through the mall anymore however i almost like it better like this. So much more parking than there used to be.

Too congested at the front! I get that they are trying to add more businesses to the shopping centre, but the layout is horrible. Especially the fast food restaurants because there is always a lineup extending out of the DQ drive-thru. Jollibee placement is awkward as well which might be the main reason the centre feels congested.

I usually go Save on Food for Asian Food. This place offer a range of stuffs with good deal if you have a loyalty card. Furthermore I am highly recommend using Pick Up Services that is free of charge for first time. This way is the best choice for my busy-bee and don’t drive like me. Save your time, energy and money. Well the most decrepit mall in Winnipeg. lots of tacky little store alot of them closed down. Including a Zellers that went out of business and was replaced by a Save-on foods which is quite good. They added a much needed Tim Hortons and Booster Juice. On HUGE problem at northgate is the tiny inadequate parking lot with little parking space considering the large volume of vehicles. It's usually absolute mayhem and the intersections are a nightmare. So many vehicles and hard to manuever corners, it is in desperate need of fixing.

I really love what they've done with it. It's much nicer and clearly busier since they've renovated and put some better stores and restaurants in. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the parking lot. Sometimes I avoid going here because I know it's going to be a disaster getting in and out.

Because of the construction the mall does not offer public washrooms and only save on foods has one for the public to use. Janitor wouldn't let me use one even though he could see I was struggling with my young son who was about to soil himself.

Went to Dairy Queen for lunch the service was awful not allowed to sit inside so had to sit outside on stone tables that were hot as fire the the employee from OPA Greek food came out and smoked a cigarette right beside us at an eating table... Wont go back very disrespectful people oh and as we waited for our food and ice cream that was sitting on the counter they took 2 other orders as we watched our ice cream melting...

This use to be a great shopping experience, when you required something within. Since the refit just entering the area, is dangerous, parking is a joke, really congested, witness three accidents just driving through. Two venues with drivethoughs where patrons sit within area with just glass separating them from vehicles entering or exiting.

Many establishments in the centre, banks, grocery, fast food restaurants, coffee shops optician clinic, gym and two gas stations. Almost everything you need in one place, just park and go to your destination or walk to it. Also, there are two entrance connecting the front to the backside.

Lots of great places to eat outside/around of the mall and inside houses the usual stores. Dollar store is a nice touch. Parking can get busy in certain parts of the multi available lots. Mall has been under major construction for awhile now. There is a large grocery store at this location which is always a bonus. Also a great discount movie theatre that plays newer movies that are out of rotation at the major cinema chains attached to the mall. Movie theatre also has great foreign movie options on the big screen too. They even play select 3D movies. Full concession stand and video games available.

While the overall look of the mall has improved hugely with new shops and ventures coming to the area,putting a fast food outlet in the middle of the parking area make you wonder what the planners were thinking . Having to negotiate 8 way traffic at the busy times means that We take the option to pass this mall and head somewhere else . What should have been a bonus to the current and new business,has been ruined by the planning department cramming as many vendors into as small a area as possible . I’m sure rate revenues had nothing to do with the decision!!!!

Undergoing some heavy renovations, this is going to be a great lift to what had become a very, very tired and worn down mall. Save On Foods is an amazing grocery shopping experience. An absolutely wild selection of groceries from around the world and local. An abundance of fresh food made every day aromatically greets you at the door. This is the way grocery shopping was meant to be. Lots of other shops and restaurants are still springing up as the renovations are nearing completion.

Excellent shopping and dining choices, Save on Foods has a wonderful selection and excellent prices, with many products usually on 2 (or more) for $4 and up. The ONLY downer, if you take the bus, transit service is really inconsistent in the evenings, with one bus ending service at 6 pm.

The save on foods here is bigger as it is an international store. It's a pretty good place to shop at. The only thing I will say about it though, is more of the parking lot situation. It's just weird. They have two way stops and some of the entrances are a pain to get in and out of especially when it's busy. There are options for food to eat as well. There's Tim Hortons, dairy queen both with drive thru. A jolly bee also with drive and some other places if those aren't your fancy.

Very convenient, good atmosphere, lots of different venues, variety, people seem very friendly around the shopping mall. Save On Foods is here and they are bringing in organic foods and they have lovely colors throughout their store. Decorative, makes a difference to me, anyway. Prairie Eye Care is here also. Best Eye Doctors and vision glasses, best selection and beautiful, friendly staff! They also have a Dental center around back, movie theater and Wand car wash. There's a gas station, Domo! The lovely Gentlemen there, service you well! There's Dairy Queen for the Ice cream lovers out there and Who can forget healthy Booster Juice! Yah! Many different restaurants and finally the entrance into the mall was made better to access! There are also Banks in the mall. Bread Basket is here also for those who want a great deal on bread. I will check them out if they bring in the gluten free. Haven't bought from them since I am gluten free. But I am sure their flat breads are still available. Which I can tolerate from time to time. Love the new NORTHGATE Shopping Mall!

Love what they're doing with the place. Has opa, kawaii crepe, booster juice, tims, save on foods, and soon to have a jollibee. Their new gym "fit 4 less" is very well maintained and has the best price in town that I've seen. Can't wait to see what they do with the inside of the mall once it's finished renovations. Only complaint is the parking lot gets pretty cluttered now but that's to be expected with that many new places opening at once.

Not alot of variety for shopping. Grocery, couple of clothing, several services, alot of food choices. BUT the parking lot was laid out by someone who has never driven before! That is the number 1 reason I try to avoid that shopping mall.

Northgate sure has changed, all the separate entries for the different stores now. It's fine in warm weather, but when it gets cold it was nice to walk inside from store to store. At one part of the parking lot, they removed a 4 way stop and put up a 2 way stop behind DQ. Bad idea, there will be a lot of accidents as impatient drivers will try to go through the 2 way and cut the right of way traffic off. Should have kept it a 4 way. So be careful driving in Northgate parking lot.

They put a Bucharest of businesses/buildings in the middle if the entrance and parking lots. Parking is a pain because there's a whole lot less of it. Trying to leave the place is a nightmare because Winnipeg traffic lights are retarded and back up traffic trying to leave the place. Go shopping somewhere else and save yourself a major frustration!!

i've always found myself to be treated in a respectful manner and i enjoyed shopping here. my dentist is also here and they too are respectful and give good service.

The shopping centre went through a major overhaul in the past three years and has vastly expanded with new restaurants and other retailers, in addition to businesses that were already established. I remember coming here back in the 60s, so I have seen it grow from 1 store, losing major stores and stagnating, to its current rebirth. I am excited to see it thrive once again!

Never any good parking and ppl dont know how to drive in the parking lot so many close calls , plus every other week or so there is an accident near the mcphillips entrance

Actually went to the save on foods. What an amazing store. I have been to other ones but this one is truly unique. It was Chinese new years and they went all out. So impressed with the hot Chinese food. The perogy station and the wings. In the bakery it is like going into a candy store. Fudge,popcorn all types of flavors, and pretzels dipped in chocolate. Just truly beautiful. There baked goods have always been wonderful but this truly was an experience. I dont live in the area. But this was truly worth the trip.check it out.

I almost 100% avoid this place since they redesigned it. I can't believe the parking and traffic layout even meet codes. The design is atrocious and just invites accidents. No stars from me!

Space in parking spot is bit congested.. all around is good you get major fast food store here.. and cineplex has old style seats which arre uncomfortable.

The small bakery in the food court has yummy goodies. Theres a Tim hortons right in the mall. Theres always security just in case .
