I love this store. It has great fresh produce, good quality cuts of meat and a reasonable selection. I like the way the store is laid out. It's clean, and smells good, from the fresh flowers, to the fresh fruit to the bakery. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the homey nostalgic atmosphere here. It's just a great store. ❤️

Do they even have customer service at this Safeway? There was nobody there the last 3 times I went. The layout of this store is not good and they have a limited amount of products available, especially when it comes to healthy options. I would have given it fewer stars but I have to say the Pharmacy staff is helpful. Safeway you can do better.

Nice, the workers are nice. I like how everything is bunched together, cause the isles are small and compact. Feels different than other Safeways that I have been to. But still is the same good Safeway we know and love. Highly recommend this stop. Prices are good. The parking is small, and usually gotta watch for the traffic, busy spot. But so are many others Safeways.

This particular store has been around for over 30 years. It has a wide selection of groceries even though it is relatively small by today's standard. The store is clean and there is a Starbucks counter near the west entrance.

It's not too bad, maybe a little pricey compared to no frills. Wish they would stock up on earth's own oat milk, I've never actually seen it in stock on the shelf. Some decent discounts. Great fresh food options like bakery and meat counter.

I frequently shop at various Safeway stores, and I am usually quite happy with the variety and prices. I was a little disappointed, though, that this location doesn't accept cash at self checkouts. Also, getting onto Oak Street southbound required a detour of several blocks. Otherwise, though, I found what I needed at reasonable prices.

Closest one to home since Oakridge Mall location has been shutdown. It's the typical neighborhood supermarket so selection is limited sometimes but that's supply chain problems.

This safeway has a hand sanitizer station right at the entry. The corridors don't have a specific way lined on the floor, but people still try to keep 6 feet away from each other. To go to the check out counter there are lines on the floor and specific places where you are supposed to wait. It's feels organized but still some people get confused of the line they are in and the check out counter they are supposed to go to. Just follow the black on the floor.

Oh my went in today had everything I wanted including the butcher department had what I wanted. Guess complaining and saying hey this is not right does work sometime. Just want to acknowledge that if polite and say this is not fare does work don't scream or swear explain not happy and say please think about seniors that would be nice so thank you for fixing the problem be safe and happy. Found out not wise to put meat out goes bad so if not on the counter in meat department ask if in back,only certain days or times it sells. But trying to get my salad never available. or nearly expired when asked a person they said trouble with our order so decided to call was told they went automated and cannot get it unless it is out of stock don't know who to believe . May 4 2021 went into store today customer service appreciation everyone was very helpful and lots in stock plus the staff was still product out. Guess certain can get what you want other days not. Plus guess it depends what was ordered and if available and when comes in and put on shelf. It was a good day

Great place to do quick shopping. Parking tends to be bad during lunch hours and after school. Morning less busy. Smaller than the marpole Oakridge location. Added screen protectors for the cashier's. Nice staff.

Whew pricey to say the least. I just go here because it's in the neighborhood and walking distance otherwise I'll wouldn't dare. Although they're abit expensive compared to other grocery stores, their freshly baked goods are yummy!! And their takeaway foods are good too especially salads.

This is a good safeway. Over the last 2 years many safeways had closed all across the lower mainland but this one stood its ground and did not succumb to corporate downsizing. I go here for the air miles and the good deli. The deli sandwiches are way way way better than subway and the ladies behind the deli counter are a hoot. If this review gets you to visit this safeway please for the love of god properly follow the one-way arrows in the parking lot.

This is one of the older and few Safeway stores remaining in Vancouver. They have sufficient number of staff. In store departments include pharmacy, butcher, deli, floral section, bakery, and a sit in Starbucks. Free surface parking. Prices are higher than some chains but the new policy is lower competitive pricing. Great sale prices on select items. #letsguide

Apparently this location has discontinued the hot food value meal a soda and two hot items instead everything is 2 dollars and 10 cents per 100 grams witch dose not make sense how is 100 grams of chicken the same price as potato wedges and the self check dose not accept cash even though every other Safeway self check does I waited in line checked my items and noticed a small sign behind the machine that said no cash very frustrating when you are in a hurry at lunch time

One of the first to renovate to newer style. Nice but smaller location. Does not have the same amount of selection as Marpole location Safeway. Parking is large enough to accommodate people each time I come, day or night. I like this location for two reasons, it's on route home from West Broadway so I can just stop by and because there is a Shell gas station in the plaza so I can shop and fill up. (both are Air Miles partners).

Parking at this Safeway if you have a disability is difficult as they have closed off the doors closest to the açcessible parking so the walk over speed bumps and uneaven pavement while cars are coming at you is a bit dodgy.

Eh finally I can write freely. Which was not case for so long in my new country. This store was my first working experience in CA that helped a lot in next years that were filled with extremely unpleasant experiences! But back to Safeway and why plus 5? Because I can’t give you plus 100! Special regards to Glen! The boss and someone who could run with me across the store to serve customers as I worked as customer service + facing of products, etc. Glen was almost only one who behaved like that at my first working place in Vancouver, Canada, from Nov 2015 ‘till now! Glen was also the only person who went with me when I politely interrupted a meeting with question: Do we really have chicken in a can? Customer wanted chicken in a can and was sure that we as Safeway have it. Oook will check ;) Crazy for me that just landed!???? So yup we had chicken in a can ????????‍♂️ For people who like cans only. Lol Then my silly imagination started thinking what else is in a can here ????. But I won’t go there now... However huge mistake leaving you! Ps: Soup is also so worth mentioning as it’s prepared with such nurturing that is priceless(I checked)... Like my grandma did! She died before I went on my way to CA! Her husband my granddad always wanted to live here! But didn’t! On the positive note I am here now and eating that soup almost every day that warms my soul in this distant society we have! - Long live the Safeway -

Let me tell you: This place is incredible. Unlike anything I've ever seen. They have all kinds of different foods, but, together. Canned, fresh, packaged, baked. I used to have to go to the cow farm to get milk and then the chicken farm to get eggs and then the baker down the street to get me bread. Now I can get them all in the same place! What a great idea, I hope I see more of these food collection buildings. Also dope touch with the snow whoever did this cake.

Last time I’ll be going here. Had the worst experience being followed by lost prevention for absolutely no reason and got to the lady at the cash register and was continued to be harassed . I obviously didn’t take anything so he tried blaming my spouse for carrying a reusable bag in the store when they recommend for shoppers to do so. Management was a complete disappointment as they continued to let this rent a cop follow us nonetheless I had not been stopped or told to take anything out of the bag as we didn’t take anything from the store to begin with.. I suggest you don’t shop here unless you want to be stopped for carrying a reusable bag while you do your groceries.

The reason why this location is my favorite is because they have more products and produce that other Safeway's don't have. First, the have more salad selections with different brand. Like taco wonton, dill, asian sesame... Other Safeway's do not. Plus the house salads they make are physically put together than other Safeway's.

Good parking, easy in and out, not too busy, good bakery and lots of ready to eat options. Older store but functional. Staff are friendly here. It really makes a difference in shopping experience. Feels like a local grocery store. Shopping mall has flowers, sushi, Vietnamese, post office, dollar store, TD bank, private liquor store, hair salon, I think insurance and a lawyer. The store with the post office also sells lottery tickets, cards, giftware and cute/sweet stuffed animals. Shop keeps are nice. Good place to stop.

Didn't know safeways still existed. Used to go to one as a kid in port alberni then moved to nanaimo where they didnt exist. Was very surprised to see one here. They have some pretty good deals on things. found a can of monster for 2.70, which usually goes for 3.75. Also didnt know bottled smoothies were a thing.

This is my favourite Safeway , you will be able to find almost most of the things you need in there , lately their hot food section goes back to self serve , no more value meals , although it will be slightly expensive when you weigh it out when paying , but I think it is a better way because you can choose what you like including the look of it and the freshness of the food , while with value meals before , assistant just gave you what was in the food containers , whether it was fresh , old or overcooked all mixed together , we disliked especially the fried potato wedges , we like them but most of the time they were leftovers so dried and overcooked , we also found out not every Safeway sells the same items , the one on east Broadway and West Fourth Ave., they do not have the kind of popsicle that we like , we always have to go back to King Edward to get our favourite one , they have more choices there , although this Safeway is not big but we are quite happy with it .

Safeway is a decent store but now the only reason I go there is for a pineapple which is sometimes on sale. I use to go there for potato wedges but now they measure by weight. It's $30 for a small box of wedges that I can't even share with my family like before ???????? sad but can't hold a grudge
