Kind of odd mall known mostly for having a Safeway and a liquor store. Kinda sad that it's being knocked down, but I can't see many people minding that much. Many of the stores seem to be closing in preparation of the mall's impending closure.

Arbutus Shopping Centre is conveniently located near Arbutus Street and West King Edward Avenue. There is plenty of free parking under the new Safeway store. As the complete renovation of the complex continues, more stores and apartments will be completed.

The new Arbutus Safeway Pharmacy has a pharmacist that tried to deceive my aquaintance twice in the last 2 months. This pharmacist's manager gaslighted my aquaintance to state it never happened and that this manager and this pharmacist are not engaging in Jurisprudence Violations and exibiting Professional Incompetance. This manager refused to allow my aquaintance to speak with this manager's superior or give them this manager's superior's name or contact information. Nobody from this pharmacy has admitted to any illegal business practices and continues to refuse to give my aquaintance an apology. I heard the recorded conversations myself. In hindsight: Very alarming situation.

The place is currently under renovation / construction. The Safeway is in operation there, but very very minimal to packaged and shelved goods (no produce). The pharmacy acts as the cashier. Only go here, if you're looking for the basic necessities such as water, toiletries, and the usual things you'd find in a pharmacy. From the main parking lot outside, you'd have to go through a boarded off corridor to access the few stores that are left there. If you want produce, I'd suggest going to the Loblaws on Arbutus and W 16th Ave or Kerrisdale on W 41st. I'll update this review when they've completed the renovation.

Hidden behind construction, this old plaza is a local gem. Safeway and BC Liquor store are never busy. Fast and friendly shopping

Other than the size (big) This supermarket is one of the most expensive, double the price or Superstore one example : astro yogurt $4.49, at Superstore you buy two for that price. The food ready counter at 4:30pm containers almost umpty and not refilled by staff for dinner, when approaching the counter to ask if they will be preparing anything soon. The staff is giving an attitude that its almost closing time wich is 7:30 pm for ready made food and the store closes after 9pm. The whole first experience will be my last one, it's too bad because I just moved near by and planed to grocery shopping in this location. Not recommended

This is one of the best Safeway store I have visited. Spacious, well organized, one can find everything and not much of those ugly display walls of products that disgusts most of the time. It is super clean and attentive personal.

The new Arbutus Safeway has opened with little fanfare because of the pandemic. Its a shame as it's a beautiful modern store. The deli and kitchen are amazing with fresh made-to-order pizza where a 12 or 16 inch pizza is ready in 3 minutes and you can watch it being cooked! There are cold salads, hot foods, the deli meat section and the fresh seafood selection has live crabs and lobster. The fresh meats section, packaged foods, and 2 aisles of frozen food has everything you have on your grocery list. Free underground parking accessed off Arbutus or Nanton, just follow the signs.

This shopping center is under construction and eventually I think it may be taken down. They are still open. There is a Safewsy pharmacy and a liquor store. There is free parking.
