I was surprised when the person assigned to me came up with an iPad and keyboard and they typed that they was deaf. We communicated by typing to each other back and forth, which was easy and didn't feel any different too different than if I were to be helped by someone of hearing. They were very professional and helpful even though they were sold out of the items I had wanted. I'm not sure what app we were using, but there must be something better out there for employees that are deaf or hard of hearing. The experience was pleasant but it felt was slow and inefficient and I unfortunately was in a rush. Preset buttons for common phrases and answers would have made a good experience a great one, I think for both myself and the employee.

I came in to the store as my macbook pro had cracked at the hinge while I was on a trip and with the wear of opening and closing the hinge cracked completely and broke off the laptop such that my screen and the keyboard area were connected only by the display and wifi cords (of which some had been severed revealing the source of my recent issues with connectivity). I was financially unprepared to buy a new laptop (as the estimated cost of repair was around $700). I think it was Allan who helped me out but he was unreal. I guess he realized this would be too costly for me at that time (I would've had to go buy a really cheap laptop somewhere else to replace this as I'm in school and needed a functional one) and he excused himself to the back and when he brought my laptop back he opened it up, and it stayed up; he had found a couple of screws that fit and re-attached the screen to the body to get me by while I figured out how to replace this one (as the issues with connectivity due to the severed cords could not be fixed in such a simple way). I've had a couple of months now to prepare and especially after such good service and a kind gesture like that, I'm nearly ready to upgrade to a new macbook.

To say I am frustrated would be an understatement. My phone began freezing a couple weeks ago, so I made an appointment at the genius bar. This weekend, while I was away in an unfamiliar city, my phone had a particularly catastrophic episode and froze with the control center pulled down and the flashlight on. I tried every method of hard restart and the phone was not responsive. I had to wait for the phone to die before I could do anything, at which point I did a factory reset and reloaded all of my apps. At my appointment this afternoon, I was told that I "hadn't" done a factory reset per their "records" - why I would lie about this I couldn't tell you - and for that reason they were going to make me do another factory reset. I was told that this is the standard, in case the issue is caused by the software on the phone and not the hardware. I was told if the software is the issue, then resetting and NOT using a backup would solve the issue. The employee I was speaking to was polite, which is the ONLY reason there is a second star, however he also TOLD ME that this issue was highly unlikely to be caused by software and therefore I could just reset my phone and simply restore it from my backup. EVEN IF I hadn't actually done a factory reset prior, which I had, how would restoring from a backup fix this problem in the event that the freezing IS being caused by the software? What this tells me is that Apple doesn't actually want to solve problems for their customers if the solution is replacing the phone. Rather, they would like to punish and put roadblocks in front of customers who are attempting to utilize their warranties. I now have to skip my lunch AGAIN to go back to the Apple store tomorrow for a second visit, per their instructions. Extremely frustrating and rude. I understand Apple employees think everyone is stupid, but this is next level.

I had a minor issue with my mac and they fixed right away. The guy that helped me was well prepared and polite. I recommend you to book an appointment online, as the store is always crowded with people.

Telling your customers to go away and come back in 90 minutes is unacceptable. You can't even drop off an item for repair without waiting. Taking a week to fix a business laptop is also unacceptable; Dell's business warranty is next business day.

If you need to talk to a Genius you can walk into the store and book an appointment. The waiting time is around 30 mins. They will notify you by text message when your turn is coming up. You are able to push back the appointment either by 30mins or an hour by replying to the automated text. They don't have support for laptops that are more than 5 years old. Friendly service, overstaffed store.

The Apple store at the Pacific Centre reopened only recently, so I guess it's normal that they have to figure out a better way to deal with customers under a pandemic. Unfortunately yesterday I went there hoping to buy an iPad, and after waiting 20 minutes in a line outside, I was told that I could enter only if I made a reservation online. Nobody asked me if I took an appointment before entering the line.

I find the staff young and friendly, but as a person who over the last few months has had problems with the same problem happening over and over.. icloud.. password .. that on my computer that does get it upgrades that apple tell me to keep up to date.. But I have health problems and when I go through again and again, and it hard to get solid problem solved rather than a patch up job.. I think there is something wrong when I do not change any thing.. and every few weeks it informs me of a action which I did not do, and so they check security and other stuff.. but it get frustrating again.. I hope this is one of the final time it happens.. I am lossing work as I am a person on disability and need to get my emails for some odd jobs to make ends meet.. Hope you understand I like apple but getting frustrated with the same problem taking up a lot of time.. best of the season to all.. and hope my problem is fixed by thursday night.. cheers to all ..

I needed to change my 4-mounths-old headphones for new ones, because one of the earpieces just stoppedd to work all of sudden. The stuff told me that the mechanic/repairman would be here in one hour and they will send me message to tell me when he will be ready. After 3 hours I am still waiting and nothing. I still dont have them repaired/given new ones. I just tossed away my free time for nothing. Just perfect.

Took our iPhones in to set up new 8’s and asked about recycling our 6’s. Very helpful Sales person entered our info on their Internet Recycle site and we will end up with two gift certificates for $100 each for our old phones. So happy that he did that for us as we would have been tearing our hair out trying to make our way through that program. They were also very patient with us in the Set Up process for the new phones. And a fellow from the Genius Bar checked my iPad Mini which has been freezing on me - all ok, according to the analysis and suggestions as to how to reset it to fix this problem. Yes, it took an hour and they were very busy, as usual, but they are patient, helpful and most professional.

Did not have the same experience as Joe below. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment and they told me to come back 45 minutes later. When I showed them my old MacBook and wanted to know what I could do about replacing it, they didn't even bother to suggest an upgrade. And weren't very helpful in helping me make a choice if I did buy a new one. The staff person gave me the basic info, but that was it. I walked out without a computer. If he had asked be a little bit more about what my needs were, and help me a little bit more to make the decision, I probably would've purchased something. The greeters at the front are very nice, but when I went to the Genius Bar to get help with my iPhone, the service person was okay, but not anything to write home about.

I went to this apple store twice. First around December 27/28. The person in front of the store was incapable of explaining how to get a reservation. The only thing they said to me was that you need a reservation but they are not accepting any right now. That specific staff was rude and abrupt I left because I was just passing by. The second time I went to this store was around 31/1 of December and January. Once again the staff in the front was incapable providing clear instructions on how to get a reservation. I assumed it was online because most places was online. But you cant reserve online. Apparently because the situation is "changing daily" that's why the store does not allow reservation online. I am confused. Befuddled. How do you get a reservation then??? Why did I have to ask the staff, "how do I get a reservation." Why can they not say. Sorry you need a reservation to get in the store. This is how you should get the reservation. I don't need an explanation on why we need a reservation (something about store sizes and staffing issues) it does not matter. It doesn't solve the issue of how do I get a reservation. Btw. The answer is you have to go to the store at 11am to make a reservation IN PERSON. idk. This seems pretty inefficient to me. They are assuming that I will be still in Pacific centre after 11am? This also defeat the purpose of social distancing. Like making reservations is to minimize in person interaction. Going in person to make a reservation is not social distancing This store needs a better manager who can think critically. And better customer service staff in the front.

Amazing experience. Went to apple store and try get latest iPhone 12 with the initial thought might be a long queue. Seems like quite a number of people is there for online reservations and collection. I went for normal queue to buy iPhone 12 on the spot which there's only 3 or 4 people before me. Waited like 5 minutes and purchased iPhone with apple specialist one on one help. Everything is sanitisation before handed over to me. And, I'm the store in 10 minutes or so. Very good shopping experience with Apple Store and its customer specialist.

I have come here for numerous after sales support in the past and the service has always been excellent. iPhone replacement only takes 10-15 mins; however, It is a pity that they no longer seem to offer same day battery replacement for Macs ( I was quoted a week to replace the battery despite the store having replaced mine in a day in the past). Also, calling the shop can be extremely frustrating with the automated system that makes it really hard to connect to a staff member at the store.

Terrible experience in my life with Supervisor (Kaida?). She MUST learn how to deal with customers. Her service was like Garbage. I love Apple products and service, however not anymore. Usually I use apple products and recommend it to other people. So I wanted to give my brother Airpods for his BD because I found it very useful. I cancelled my order because of her. I don’t want to buy any more Apple products from now because of her. I’ll make a complain about her through Apple customer care. You shouldn’t be confident and proud about your customer service Kaida. Shame on you. You don’t deserve to be a supervisor. APPLE learn how to train your people about customer service.

The staff are usually very friendly but I came in to get my iPhone looked and fixed and the process took more than 3 hours. Initially, there was no appointment scheduled so I waited 45 minutes. The guy who was helping me wasn’t friendly or helpful in any way. He didn’t smile and rarely made eye contact. We sat there running software diagnostics for the most part and he even told me to leave and to come back if the problem was still occurring after a reset. I left for 10 minutes, went back as the problem was still prevalent, and I was told to wait another hour to see another tech. I eventually fixed the issue myself after Googling during the long wait times. Do yourselves a favor and Google the issue before making a trip and make a reservation at the Genius Bar instead of wasting hours of your own time like I did.

The staff in the store are awesome and helpful, providing me with the advice and knowledge I need to make a buying decision. Waited a while to get into my "Genius Bar" appointment. When I finally got in I was told my Apple Care did not apply! This is becoming more and more common for Apple, which is an extremely greedy corp. Each time I visit an Apple store about a product, I hate Apple more and more. The Apple attendant gave the party line and refused to fix my computer. I know Apple has users by the "short 'n' curlies," but it's time to cut the ambilical cord and give Microsoft a chance. Hopefully they will have better customer service. I would have given Apple a negative rating if possible.

This store is always busy, if you want to avoid crowds, try a different apple store. Thankfully the people that work here are smart and helpful. I've always walked out of this store with a good experience. I used to live downtown and so it was my main apple store, but since going to some others I notice they don't have an area for kids. The one in guildford mall has a low table with ipads setup that kids can use and my 3 year old was nicely distracted while I setup my phone plan with an apple tech. I was in pacific centre last week and it was much harder keeping my son distracted while making a purchase and setting up a device. If he is with me I'll probably head to guildford instead.

Pretty standard Apple store design. They were packed with employees and customers, leading to it becoming very loud inside the store. Furthermore, when my friend was trying to fix their phone, they briefly mentioned a $200 fix then immediately started trying to pressure them into buying a new phone instead... Edit: Went again to check out the Macbook Air in person, and every single time they kept pushing me to go for the Macbook Pro instead. Even after I explicitly said I only want the Macbook Air as it fits in my price range better, they kept pushing for it.

People here are too lazy. Took my MacBook there because the wifi wasn't working. They didn't even turn it on and they told me nothing could be done because the computer is too old. I took it to the Genius Bar in Metrotown and they opened the computer on to check what was going on. Turns out some wires had disconnected. If you need an apple genius, go to Metrotown

I thought this store was a "apple store" I went in to buy some freshly picked apples I was severely disappointed when I entered to so no fresh fruit in sight, I asked one of the employees where the kept the Granny Smith apples and he looked at me with a strange face so I left 0/10 horrible expeirence

I bought the iPhone 12 on January 29/21. My iPhone SE had just fell down an elevator shaft 24 floors the night before when I was holding the door open for a couple with a baby stroller. I was told by the concierge of the building that it could be days or weeks before someone could retrieve my phone. Let’s be honest, whatever would be left of that phone. The iPhone 12 came with some promising new features- one of which appealed to me this particular day was this new ceramic exterior providing excellent durability. Normally something like this isn’t too high up on my priority list as I always shield my phones with a case. I’m proud to say that in all my years I’ve never experienced cracking or even chipping the actually screen of my iPhones. But need I remind you, plummeting 24 floors down would take a miracle to keep a screen in one piece. I was educated on iPhones now coming with AppleCare and being charged $10/month for it was not a choice made by me it was the deal everyone had to agree to. I was talked into buying the clear case with MagSafe and of course the MagSafe charger. Ok let’s fast forward to 2 weeks later... Hello Pete, the engineer technician had retrieved your fallen phone please come to pickup. The case (purchased from Society6) took a beating as did the sheet of protective glass covering the screen. However after being stripped down of shields my iPhoneSE was in perfect condition. Let’s fast forward another 3 weeks. I grabbed my phone from the counter and noticed that my clear MagSafe case had some cracks all in it. But wait a minute, looking closer at it and removing the case little shards of glass began to cut my fingers. I don’t even remember the phone experiencing any slips or falls but the back was pretty shattered. Apple explained it’s $600 to fix and Oh whoops I don’t actually have the Apple care I need to fix my phone free of charge because there are now 2 levels of apple care and I’m not paying for the second level so Jokes on me. The iPhone 12 is a piece of breakable glass just ready to shatter your wallet now not only on one side of your phone, but now, 2 sides of your phone. Your basically walking around with a delicate Christmas tree glass ornament as a phone people. I wish I had the courage to just leave apple and start a relationship with an Android but Apple has me in these golden handcuffs making it so difficult to leave. You’re like an abusive partner Apple. Shame on you!

Apple stores are generally crowded wherever one goes. This one is no exception. This location clearly needs more employees. Going there during off peak hours and one has to wait for service. About 10 minutes. Other than that, it's a great place to shop.

Went in to purchase a product that I called ahead and asked if it was in stock, I was assured TWICE by two different Apple representatives the product was available in store. When I went to visit the first time I was immeditly turned away at the door, saying this product was not sold in store. I left to my vehicle and called apple support, who assured me again, and called the store and spoke to who im assuming is a manager (Kevin), and was told this was a misunderstanding and that if I came to the store I would be able to skip the line and the product would be waiting for my pick up. When I returned to the store I spoke to a young lady who said I could not enter the store but she would go talk to Kevin about the situation, and bring me the product I was told was available. The lady seemed passive aggressive about the whole situation (I guess I was annoying her) and after checking with Kevin, said I would need to book a Genuis Bar appointment to just purchase this product??? I told her I would rather order them online than come back into this store with this HORRIBLE service. Don't bother going here.

I came into the store today to get my iPhone 7 screen replaced after an unfortunate incident causing it to crack. The staff were immediately attentive, and booked me a time slot to get it fixed. About an hour later, my appointment time came around, and a new representative came over to me to deal with the situation. After talking for a little bit with her, she seemed ready to take the phone into the back to begin the process, when I mentioned something about my drivers licence, and she questioned suddenly my age. After telling her I was 16, and had no way to get an adult of age to come in to sign off on the fix, I was refused service, and told to leave the store basically. I looked on apple’s website, and didn’t find anything about a required age to get this fix done. Very frustrating experience with apple.

I went in to fix my phone. I'm pretty sure it's just the screen is disconnected. They replaced the whole screen without trying to fix the connection, which costs $200. This is a company that tries to squeeze out every last penny out of you. The appointment system is also ridiculous. It takes three visits and endless waiting to fix my phone. Each time I was asked the same question repeatedly by different staff. When they tell you to wait for 2 minutes they actually mean 10 minutes. They need to review the appointment procedure to make it more efficient. The staff is friendly, which is why there's a second star.

I was trying to spend around $2K on new iPhone and various accessories. Problem was when I’d looked online deliver date was 7 Jan and I needed it straight away as my iPhone 8 broke needing new mother board probably . Anyway I called the store ( my understanding is apple products ship from the stores anyway) because I wanted to find out which model of iPhone 12 could be shipped straight away or before jan7! ( a whole month away) . Person on phone identified after some time that they had a iPhone 12 available but when I asked to go ahead and buy it she said it was for pickup only and I’d have to come in to the store. I’m in nelson bc, Vancouver is closest store but I’m not picking it up obviously ( 8 hour drive each way!!!). So that was just a waste of time and I had to go back to searching online. What I want to know is why can’t a store sell and ship! Especially in c19 times when going into the store isn’t something which should be encouraged. Seems to me as a technology firm these stores are so behind the times. If I could buy it from Amazon I would have!

It was very busy in this store today, as Apple stores normally are. A very pleasant member of the sales team, named Tony, spent a good amount of his time explaining how to use a Mac Book - as I have always used PC. He was very receptive in understanding what my computer needs were and showing me how it could work with the laptop. I am an apple customer for the past 20 years who owns more than 10 devices including 4 iPhone 11s , desktop, macbooks (pro), and airpods. I have contacted apple service because my airpods are not working .. one of them doesn’t have sound. After speaking to a customer service representative I was sent to apple to pay a fee of $95 to replace my airpods. I was hoping that after me being so loyal to the company they would do better. I guess customer done matter.. extremely disappointed..

He spent time and provided the best customer service in the last year I bought 4 latest iPhones. He is one of a kind. And what you don’t know if you buy 2 years apple care and you work in a big corporate such as TJX even if you just a store associate in their Winner’s store you get 20% discount for apple care and accessories , not bad she saved about $40 , none other in any apple store even explained to me when I bought 3 others X Max and 11 last year , and none even explained we can actually get our screen protector replacement for free if it’s still under 2 year for the one we bought at apple store even if it is a third party product .. Dan, he saved my friend a new cheaper plan with the latest phone and all. So this 5 star only goes to his service ...

On site people sent me to call the customer care, the apple customer care is never picking up due to supposedly high volume, but the automated machine sends me a link how to return this item without a way out? I went twice to this store but nobody can accept the item because it is not yet processed in the database and have to wait (probably a 1.5 month till the end of the holiday season) to be processed. This is a super busy location so try to go during weekday hours if possible. The service is always friendly when you manage to speak to someone, but its often after waiting awhile if you show up on a weekend. I appreciate the open concept of the apple store, but this location could really benefit from some line up management during busy times. I've had two experiences with this shop and both were terrible. Sure the staff were friendly which was good but I made an appointment and waited 45 MINUTES to be seen for my appointment. I had to asked twice in which the staff were confused and told me to take a seat. My second experience was when I came to pick up my repaired product. I came at a super slow time (shortly after they opened) and there were several staff chatting to each other and yet again, I waited 20 MINUTES and again had to ask what was going on TWICE. All I needed to do was pick up a product, once it arrived, I signed my name and was out of the store in 30 secs. Terrible service painted with a pretty candy coating.

After long time standing in the lane, you can’t expect to hear oh sorry we don’t have this model, color, that type and so on. Super busy but nothing. Something is wrong with this store that they are in some shortage all the time either busy days or regular ones. Some of technicians do not have enough information about the products or services which you have to expect know everything by your own google search.

Terrible customer service. Today, I bought an ipod 7th generation only to find out that I got the 6th generation when i got home. This is a mistake, I understand, but it comes across as very shady, considering I paid the price for a 7th generation, and if I didn't check, I would have been given the wrong device. While the store clerk verbally apologized, I wasn't given anything else as a form of compensation. Even a small gesture would have been appreciated as it took over an hour to get to the store each way. Last time I buy an apple product from this store. I can't even trust that I'm getting what I paid for.

Awful experience several staff standing around talking to each other at the end of the day. Was looking at purchasing a apple watch started looking at the one I wanted and was told not to touch it and if I wanted help.to ask. Well maybe the four of you standing around may want to help a paying customer instead of talking to each other about a customer that went to the bank machine. I actually had the means to pay then and there for a $1500 plus watch I wanted without any issues. Own several Apple products, iPhone X iPad Pro Apple watch all paid by cash and never experienced this at other Apple stores. Maybe it's time to look at another brand. Just spent $2500 at Louis Vuitton and got treated like gold. May want to go there and see how to treat your customers sorry may not have looked like I had money but you should never judge a book by its cover.

Very impressive fast service! I got my computer fixed in just over 24 hours and got it back within 2 days. They were very good at contacting me by phone and email to update me on the status of the repair. The customer service was overall pretty good and fast. The repair was a bit pricey, over $200 after tax for two parts + labour. So lesson learned, don't spill water on your Apple electronics ever. Friday night tends to be busy, so make sure to make an appointment before you go, otherwise there's a bit of a wait (about 30 min).

The customer service was good the last time I came in here. Actually everytime until today. When a customer comes in and all you can say is go online to book an appointment it makes me wonder if the associate couldn’t be bothered to help. To be fair he did try to help pry this magnet off my phone to see the serial number but I just got more and more turned off with the help he was suggesting. The whole transaction after bringing laptop for battery diagnosis (which resulted in ultimatum for leaving laptop plugged in at all times or upgrading to new macbook air) lasted 10 minutes MAXIMUM. It felt like buying a candy bar from a gas station except that it is a $1300 transaction. Very stressful experience overall. Don't come here.

What ensued was comical at best and ensured I will never buy a product from this store again. The "genius" probably had the IQ of a toddler, with absolutely zero critical thinking skills. The worst phone experience with someone named K in the call center... all to just go into the store? Took ten minutes to register me in the system before he told me he could not book me an appointment. UPDATE - Went in 2 times to try and get a replacement case for my airpods pro - was told to come back at appointment time with the box, did so, told me they didn't even have any in stock. Absolute joke, there was none even in the store. Thanks a lot Apple!

At the moment they are getting a lot of flak in the press for their poor customer service and selling products that cannot be fixed. This maybe true but their Genius team at the Pacific Centre seem to still really care about the product and delivering a great customer experience. I want to say a big thanks to Keanan for going over and above what I expected. I was having a problem with my Mac Book Pro charger and though that it was going to be a huge headache. Keanan leapt to my aid and quickly found a solution. It was a really busy day in the store and he solved the problem super fast. Thanks.

Had a great customer experience trying to get my iPhone 6 plus sorted out. Despite my annoyance with Apple and the fact they don't want to claim a common design flaw known as "touch disease" is covered, I had to get a new phone. The phone replacement fee was reasonable but still annoying. I was without my phone for 5 days and had to come from Victoria. None the less the person I dealt with at the store was very helpful and made sure I got my old phones backup restored to my new phone.

If you are looking to visit the Genius Bar to get help with your Apple product avoid this Apple store. I have had the worst experience with their so called genius unhelpful and rude. They have inadequate knowledge about the products they sell and will do all they can get rid of you as soon as possible. Keep in mind you might even have to wait over an hour just for them to help you. Apple’s customer service has lost what made it great over the years.

As with any Apple Store, the place is always crawling with naive sheep ????. Us, The Apple Fans! A gentleman named Roland was manning the two lines in front of the store. One for those who made appointments and the other for walk-ins. Roland politely asked for my businesses attending the store and requested for my patience ( since I walked in ). I was there to trade in my XS and enquire about trade in value of my watch 6, to see if I could drop some bitcoins and buy a new ‘my precious’ ( pun intended ). Seeing that the line was growing, a lady named Amina started making small talk with everyone. Very impressive - keeping your customers ( potential or existing ) engaged is very important. When my turn came, Amina asked me if I would be ‘comfortable typing today’. While I was trying to process this ( I hadn’t heard this before at any store ) the Apple Genius Mika introduced herself in sign language and I couldn’t stop smiling behind my mask. She quickly grabbed a corner, opened the notes app on her tab and gave me a keyboard while keeping the other one for herself. We quickly typed our Q&A’s and I was humbled at how quick she was in understanding exactly what I wanted! I had many questions about backing up my old phone and how I could take benefit of the extra trade in value for my watch ( for the month of Feb 2022, Apple has a special offer of watch trade ins ) Not once did Mika rush me and our conversation flowed seamlessly. Clikity click click - we typed our way and even made some jokes in between!! With C$250 trade in for my XS, I immediately made that deal. I was quoted a decent C$220 for my watch 6 BUT, I figured it was stretch to buy the watch 7. Retained my watch, sold my XS, paid C$120 out of pocket and left with AirPods Pro! I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism married with a happy-go-lucky attitude of the staff at this store. Whatever your Apple journey maybe, I recommend visiting this store. Also, ‘thank you’ Apple, for being an equal opportunity employer.

Apple stores sells new products but is far from stellar for support and repair... If they stock the parts at all. It can be busy so be prepared to wait. My major gripe is that you cannot call the actual store. This listing suggests they have a phone number but it is a redirect to a US call centre. When the call centre is closed but the actual store is open it is like being stuck before phone technology existed. Every interaction I've had here, I've left disappointed and usually my problem not resolved.

Unprofessional, walk in with a 8plus have full apple Care + on it, but without taking the phone to the back, try to fix the issues covered by the warranty. Unfortunately this Apple store does not stand by it's products. I have been stuck with 3 defective apple products without repairs from this apple store. First a white core 2 duo imac, then a 2008 macbook air with defective hinges, and a 2010 macbook pro. All these had known problems and apple offered to fix them but this store would not do it. The "genius" even lied to me and told me the problems were from usage. Thieves!

Bought a $52 silicone case for iphone 8+ 5 weeks ago, noticed that one of the corners is cracking. Has $20 case from London Drugs on my last iPhone - lasted 5 years without issues. After 25 min wait I was told that this is not covered by warranty! It's "0" stars for Apple products! What a rip off.

Despite tons of customers, their staff was very organized and efficient. I personally came to replace my battery, they offered a whole new phone for the price of a new battery. Everything was very easy, even though my phone was not in English...absolutely no problem. I would say dont forget to book an appointment before you go there as they are very busy all the time.

Found it didn’t stock the standard Apple accessories for the device I was interested in. Walked out. This is also a particularly cramped and pokey store, buy online.

iPhone broke down a couple days ago, but these people really helped me out. I signed up for an appointment at the genius bar, and after a bit of a misunderstanding about timing (honestly, probably on my end), they squeezed me in early and got everything worked out. Shout out to Andrew who helped me while in line and facilitated me getting in early, and Qian who was the specialist who fixed my phone. Super knowledgable, relaxed, comforting, and felt like all my concerns were addresses and resolved in no time. Thank you Andrew and Qian!

At the genius bar they treat you kindly, but they are dishonest and their only objective is to make you pay. They do not care! I came here with my Mac Book Air i spilled water over. The guy took my computer to the back, then came back and told me the Motherboard was damaged and had to be replaced, as well as many other parts. I would have paid 1,350$ without taxes for replacement and labour. Afterwards i went to a computer repair shop to get a second oppinion. They opened up my mac in front of me on the counter and immediately disconnected the battery to prevent further corrosion, something the guy at the applestore didn't care to do. They showed me the Logicboard, which had no more than 5-6 tiny spots of rust. Absolutely no need to replace it. They cleaned it and had to replace nothing. I paid 120$ and i advise everyone to mind the applestore for similar repairs. They don't care to inform you about alternatives but simply replace everything without even showing you what's wrong. Really unsatisfying!

I installed a replacement battery from Amazon in my 2013 MacBook Pro, which turned out to be a dud. When I took it to the Apple Store the “genius” that helped me shamed me for using 3rd party equipment. I left the store somehow feeling guilty! On top of that they refused to replace the faulty battery with a good one because apparently it’s a danger to them to deal with 3rd party equipment. Now I have to put in my old battery and go back again. This is significant process because the battery is adhered to the frame of the computer. I went to Apple because I wanted this fixed quickly. In the end it was just a waste of time. I love Apple products but I’m not sure if it’s worth it with service like that.

I went downtown Vancouver, paid 8 dollars for parking and waited in line for more than 30 minutes because I wanted to have someone show and explain the new Macbook Pro before investing 4000 dollars in one. I told them I was there so that a customer rep could show me the product and walk me through options and versions a bit. So I get my sales rep and he is deaf. Apple, I absolutely commend you for being inclusive and hiring people with disabilities, taking care of your deaf customers as well. However, you cannot place a deaf sales rep in front of a customer who specifically asked for a presentation of a product without even asking if that would be okay. The whole experience was beyond ridiculous. Had to type all my questions and answers, it felt like communicating with a chat bot. Presentations and explanations did not go beyond what I could see with my own eyes. I gave up after 5 minutes, went back home and decided to trust YouTubers (sure, they do a great job, but Apple shouldn't rely on them). I am never going to that store again. Apple, for the top dollar we pay for your products and for the customer loyalty that most of us show, please provide the freaking customer experience we deserve.

They didn´t allow us to buy anything in the Vancouver store (Pacific Center). Either Airpods or Apple watch. We didn´t want to ask any questions, just buy those products and was 45 minutes before closing. We came back another day and people showing the products didn´t know almost anything about the product. Are these people for helping and informing customers or just to get you the product? Is this the famous apple customer care? Feels like Apple doesn't care anymore about their believers and they are hiring people with no pasion at all... BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Some people in these comments take things waaaaaay too seriously. I walked into this store on a Tuesday afternoon and they were BUSY!!! I bet there are times when the store is slow, perhaps on a Monday morning and people think that they don't have lots to do there, but they do. I waited an respectable amount of time considering how busy it was. I was even called before my estimated wait time but missed the queue (because my phone was broken and I was missing texts, the reason why I had to visit the store in the first place). I was given a demo phone to use while waiting in store. I used it to call my clients and confirm appointments. Kind of saved my day!! The customer service rep was clear in his instruction and kind when answering all my questions. I was given all the information I needed, and although my phone wasn't available at that location , they made sure it would be at the one near my house. The three gentlemen that helped me we're professional and really cool. The handoff was incredibly smooth. One guy was wearing a quilt and he had some really dope piercings. We were talking prices and he even showed me some stuff on Craigslist to help me make a decision. This is probably the best customer service experienced I've ever had at any store I've ever visited. The only other time I remember having such great customer service was when I last visited my neighborhood Apple Store at Guildford town center to buy my mac book pro and 4TB time capsule. Thanks Apple, I love my new phone... My MacBook too... And the fact that it all gets saved automatically and I don't have to do anything. Not even think about it. Who thinks of this stuff? ???????? Went to return a barely used keyboard that had a vroken command key. Aftrr waiting 15 minutes after my appointment time, the person was helpful and processed the return. I took it back to my office, plugged the new one in and... broken p and ; keys. Brutal. Want back to return. Had three people, who were all quite nice, try to figure out this return. One of the issues was that my register Mac is "vintage", which is to say five years old. Apparently I need a new Mac to return a frigging keyboard? Overall customer service was nice, almost to a fault. The process was frustrating.

Only thing about this store, as others mention, is it's always packed. It's quite noisy also. I clocked ambient levels over 80db -- which begins to damage hearing after 2 hours of continuous listening. Would be very helpful to improve the acoustics of the store. A little sound-deadening application would make worlds of difference to customer experience and the ability to actually hear what that genius/salesperson is saying.

Seeing all the bad reviews for this location surprises me. I came into the store thinking I had an appointment, when I had really booked it at another location. They set me up right away, as I needed to get my battery replaced and they have staff dedicated to that. They quoted 2 hours for the replacement, but said they would email when it was ready -- only took 30-45 minutes. Prompt, kind, and quick service.

I brought my laptop: - for diagnostics - had an appointment, had to wait 20 minutes before anyone helped me - for fixing - I brought it Saturday 10am, it was supposed to take 3-5days for a battery replacement ($290), they promised on Tuesday to call me on Wednesday and didn’t, then called me Thursday morning that they’re looking at my laptop now (after 5 days passed) and tried to push for a $1200 repair with replacing the logic board because of liquid damage, refused to just do the repair I asked for (a new Macbook 12’’ is abot $1500, which is only $300 more than fixing a 3 yo one) Extremely busy and unorganized, customer service is chaotic and they are unreliable. Waste of time, order online and never trust their estimates.

If I could give this guys 0 I would of. Let me first starts by saying that I am an apple fan and all my household electronic are apple so this review is very objective. I went to apple today to just get a new cable, I own 2 iPhones one that still have the apple car which I left home and another X that I use everyday and once there I presented a damaged cable to the first person explains that it was damaged about 2 months ago but because I did not really care getting a new one I taped it and it worked until today. He checked the phone I had and the warranty has just expired, too bad he said. what does that mean , well, we will charge you 30$, i was shocked that he wanted to charge me 30$ for a cable that was damaged before the warranty was expired on that phone but also o have another phone that has still apple care which I could come home, get it and get a new cable. I did not want to have to run back home, pay the parking again, wait again so that I can just get the phone, they know on my account have so many items that qualify for such a cheap 30$ cable . They give me such a hard time and they were kind of acting like apple belong to them, less the. 2 weeks ago the apple CEO on one of their events said « everything we do, we do it for our amazing customers « well that is not the case here at apple pacific centre. They finally decided to give me the new cable. Now that I am home, I regret taking it and tomorrow , I will return it to them. Take my new iPhone that is still under apple care and demand one. In the past, I had to buy every apple gadget that came and that will now changes, Do not be fooled by apple anymore , they have built a company by loyal people like me and now that they are big, they want to crash us and they forgot how they got here, time to look for alternatives and time to wake up. I hope you all share your experiences.

A couple of days ago, my iPhone Xs Max got wet when I was walking in the rain. It suddenly turned off and then when I turned it on its camera and face detection didn't work. I went to the pacific apple store, and they asked for 719$ to replace the phone and they told me it doesn't worth to fix!!! It is a water-resistant phone!!!! I had a bad experience at this branch in Pacific centre, I got IPhone x from Bell, there was an issue with the screen, got an appointment and went to see them. They checked the phone and the genius decided it is just software! And did something took like half an hour, then advised me to come back if the problem re-appeared. Just went outside it did, but to meet the genius again took me like another hour, who decided to replace the screen( The phone was 2 days old ). I argued that they should replace it as it was the most expensive phone in the market and it is brand new, and cause this happened to me twice in London and in Rio! They refused as it is from Bell and I should go to bell!!! Anyway I took the genius 3 more hours, so I spent my whole off day on Apple, complained to the shop manager, who were so fake! Listened and didn’t give a crab!

my brand new iPhone 7 + stop working on the 7th day I bought it. I took my device to the Apple Store Metro-town location for help. Honestly speaking, I was looking for a replacement unit but the rep in Metro location told me that option is not available. The statement and the attitude made me feel like I was a bad customer who is giving them trouble. On the other night, I took my device into the Apple store Pacific Centre location for the replacement. Unfortunately, they did not replace the device for me, but repaired it. However, the way that the rep told to me made me feel I was being respected.They ensured the quality of the repaired device and explained to me why they decided to repair the phone instead of replacing it. :)

Always been a fairly good experience except for today trying to find a phone case. Stood by the section waiting for a staff member to finish a conversation with another customer for 10 minutes listening to him telling stories, never once letting me know he’ll ‘be right with me’. After 10 mins went to the front, who directed me back to the guy chit chatting. Finally, I’m told that the case I want is in the storage room and they won’t be able to get it until noon and so to come back then. I come back at 1pm having walked 20 mins to get there and no one has had a chance to go get the stock, ‘try coming back at 3pm’... not impressed having my time wasted like this. Very frustrating.

I was buying myself an iPhone 13 for my birthday and had already done plenty on research on the phone I wanted to get but decided to book an appointment to shop with a specialist. On my way there the traffic was super bad but I was able to call is to give them a heads up. The automated Robotic operator was very helpful and was able to pass me along to an actual human operator. they were very friendly and fine with me being about ten to fifteen minutes late. When I got there my specialist Ronald was there to greet me at the front and was excited to jump into helping me and answer my questions in a very helpful and knowledgeable manor. He said I had some really good questions and was even able to crack jokes about me knowing so much about the products already. He was extremely kind and genuine, whenever I go back tot he apple store for whatever my next product is I hope I get helped by either Ronald or another kind face. I was extremely grateful to be able to spend this extremely special moment for me with such an enjoyable person. This phone was something I have been working towards buying for myself for the past 6 months and he truly made the entire experience worth it.

Amazing how 10 years ago Apple stores were the benchmark of good service, and now you have to search on their website for 30 minutes just to try to book an appointment. And if you show up without an appointment, they tell you to come back another time and book online. Or you can try talking to a robot on the phone for 45 minutes. Also, the store is conveniently closed for the 2 days before their xmas return period ends on basis of "covid", though the rest of pacific centre is still open. Pretty ridiculous.

Whats the point of making reservations online if you still have to wait in line for 45 minutes.. And then... They send you home, run diagnostics on your computer, have to come pick it up again after they are done and wait in line for another hour. Then bring it back again when parts arrive. Wait in line again, and finally once again when picking up. Come here if you want to give up your business laptop for a week and also spend 3 hours waiting in line. Seems apple is not a good idea if you use your laptop for business.

Arrived there and was given a mask and had my temperature checked and allowed in the store. The "geniuses" are patronizing jerks. 3-5 day wait to change an iPhone battery, then they refused to do it because I had a 3rd party battery (which had lasted just as long as the original one). I went straight to Cell Clinic on Seymour who replaced my battery on the spot for half the price. This Apple store is crazily busy at all times of day and week, filled with tourists like it's some kind of sightseeing destination. But it's just a dingy little store in a dank old mall. Staff are stressed and disorganized. The gimmick of paying with Apple Pay and walking out only works on phone cases and headphones. Just buy online, it's way easier. Warning if you want your iPhone to last: DO NOT UPGRADE IOS. Apple purposefully and systematically slows down older phones with every iOS upgrade, and they go out of their way to stop you from downgrading. They do this to sell more phones, and it works. Apple makes beautiful hardware, and they treat their customers like dirt.

Poor customer service....I’ve always bought apple products but after visiting the apple Pacific Center I don’t think I will anymore ..I was extremely disappointed. My 7 plus phone was splashed with water and shut down they first of all doubted my story and said that it wasn’t covered and that I would have to buy a new phone. It’s all about money there...I even asked if I could get a downgrade so I can afford it and they refused. If you’re looking for good customer service don’t go to the Pacific Center Apple store

Went to this location yesterday at 10:00 am brought my Ip 7 plus, I pad air 2 and mac book pro. Asked them to cut my old sim from my Ip4 s and I was informed its not possible it's not the same so I asked if they could sell me a sim card and she said no they can't help me because i'm not with Telus or one of the 3 they deal with. Then I asked if they could put the membrane on my ip7 screen and she said no we can only help if its one you buy here, great. Lastly I asked if she could take a look at the battery on my macbook because it says service battery and she tries to make me an appointment for the next day. I'm leaving overseas in a couple days and their reluctancy to accommodate any of my requests has given me a deplorable impression of the staff, Especially when I'm standing there with 6 thousand worth of their products all attached to my apple ID.

These Apple folks run a pretty tight ship. My wife had dropped her new day old iPhone and shattered the screen. I was earning my husband of the year trophy by taking it all the way downtown (we live in Delta) to get it fixed for her. Pacifuc Centre was the closest location I could get an appointment that day. As insanely busy as it was they had the phone fixed within a few hours and I was on my way. Pretty impressive.

My Macbook Pro needed major repairs after the motherboard developed problems. Without making a booking, I took the laptop in at 18h00 on Thursday, and on Friday midday I got an email stating it was ready for pick up! The staff inside this store were friendly, helpful and professional. Within minutes the guys figured out what was wrong with my laptop and what was needed to repair it. They do the repairs in the rooms at the back of the store. Apple have such a good after-sales service, it's worth sticking with them! I was greatly impressed by the good service I got from these guys. I bought my Macbook 3 years ago.

There’s always wayyyy to many people. It took me 30 min to get a Mac charger. I think they need a bigger store and maybe more employees. It’s uncomfortable to walk in the store since it’s crowded. Also the wait to talk to an employee was sooo long. When I bought an iPad, I had the same experience. Also since the employees have to deal with so many people they were in a rush to finish the sale, which doesn’t feel good since I’m buying a product that costs more than my rent. I think next time I’m going to head to Best Buy, staples or some other place for better service.

Quick and efficient service! Came in with a charging cable that stopped working, and found the store to be packed. However, I was checked in and then sent to wait near the Genius Bar. Shortly after, I was queued up again and asked to wait in a specific spot where a technician then came and met me 5 minutes later. He was able to confirm the issue and replace the cord free of charge under my extended warranty. Overall good store, but could use some work to corral the line a bit as it was unclear where to wait when I first went in.

Took my iPhone 7 (Red) for repair, because it wouldn't turn on! First they said lighting of the screen is out and the repair is free! Then they said it's water damage and charge 409$ for it! I said isn't this water proof? They responded, no it's water resistant! You must understand the terminology I have been a costumer of Apple for 12 years! This is the worst experience I have ever had with their products! Please don't buy anything water "resistant" from them.

The headphones are in good condition aside from the small plastic piece that broke. This Apple store wanted to charge me $250 to fix this tiny piece of plastic. I'll go with Bose next time..

The worst experience I've had at an apple store anywhere in the world and it's not the first time at this location. This time it was Wilfred. He was impatient, irritable, and lacked basic customer service etiquette. Clearly the person in charge of hiring and training staff for this location is not doing a good job. Apple is usually known for exceptional service but going to this store definitely is not a good representation of that. If you can drive to oakridge I would strongly recommend going there and avoiding this place. After my experience here I'm left with a bitter feeling towards the whole company. Terrible experience, terrible representative.

Almost genius. I went to the store today hoping to get an iPhone 11 Pro. Out of curiosity, I asked if I should wait a bit for new special edition to be released (as there were rumours, and I still love smaller phone), a lady that was assigned to help me told me in full confidence that, Apple only releases phones in the fall season. That got me furious, because my phone (An iPhone SE) was bought in Spring. She said that I must be wrong and insisted that she was right as she repeated many times that “I have worked for Apple many years”. Well, I said I’ll go home to do more research before I decide that I’ll buy a new phone because now I doubt she knows Apple products as well as she claimed. After a fact check, my iPhone SE was released March 2016. Last time I checked, March is not fall season... Being also a “many year” Apple customer, I find that Oakridge Mall has a better product knowledge and customer service. I will head there next time.

I made an online purchase & even though I had the QR code in my Apple wallet in my phone, photo ID and cards with my maiden name, I had to get the Apple store app & the clerk had to watch me change my name on my Apple account before giving me my product. When I asked if I could see watch bands & accessories I was told I have to go to the back of the line. Even though I’m a customer I was told it wasn’t fair to potential customers. They lost a sale.

I had an absolutely horrendous experience in the past couple of weeks with these guys. They denied me service after finding alleged "liquid damage" on the logic board (mind you the problem stemmed from the display and the display only). The managers at the store seemed to want to wipe their hands clean of my case and refused to take care of my issues under any circumstance. Finally after talking to a senior advisor at Apple Customers' Relations, he had me take my device to the Oakridge Mall Apple Store, and they took care of the job in less than 24 hours.

I was first at this apple store back in 2012 when I finally bought my first iPhone, the 4S (the best iPhone ever!), my SE in 2017 (the other best iPhone ever!) and MacBook Air Fall 2019. The associates are always personable and can give you the time of day and the impression that they're in no rush or too short staffed to talk to you any longer. Allen was awesome to work through in getting our Air. Associates tend to go beyond an expected level of service in regards to help choosing a product. Thankfully it isn't commission based here so it's not a cut throat mentality which it can sometimes encourage. But what really leaves a lasting impression on me is with Gord. Tanya too, but it was brief. We currently had a Sony VIAO running Windows 8 and way too little RAM that it was so slow to even operate. iCloud for Windows was obviously always poor syncing between content going to the cloud and also to the VIAO computer, since it's not on an Apple product. We were at loose ends about it because we weren't sure all of our Cloud content was on the current hard drive and wanted to ascertain that we're not missing content from the VIAO on the new Air. I recall Allen having Tanya come over, asked about the situation. They seem to have more a sense of being an equal team and supervisors don't tend to act with defined authority and status over others. Then Gord came over, Tanya humourously said "I'll give you the coles notes on what's going on right now...". Some humour in the workplace fosters a positive work environment to me. Gord spent a long time with us saying let's look into this VAIO. I also asked why it's so slow. So he was helping with a non Apple product. All the attention was on us, during a busy time. He even came back with tools to open the bottom and look at the hard drive. He was such an interesting person, and very tech savvy. Up to 20 minutes later maybe, he gave suggestions to help the computer such as add RAM and upgrade to Windows 10 among others. To me, customer service most essentially breaks down to the way you felt when you were there and the way you felt when you left and the type of lasting impression you (hopefully) have from the experience. What he did was going beyond the realm of expectations as a customer in the sense that, you would never expect that an Apple employee would enjoy spending the time working on a non Apple product with you. Something that you don't expect and stands out as being out of the ordinary to me I consider the highest, purest form of customer service that really can't be beat by anything else. This really formed a strong personal connection that has made a lasting impact on me still a few months later. I sure hope to visit all 3 of them again soon.

Had such a great experience a few weeks back. My phone kept dropping calls and we figured out it’s because the back battery needed to be replaced. We had a gentleman named Kyle working with us that day and he got it all sorted out in five minutes or less. When I went to come pick up my phone it was working and the part they replace even covered up some of the cracks that were in there already. My phone was still under warranty but I had never purchased AppleCare within the timeframe. Kyle advised us like a true professional to get AppleCare the day we come pick it up. Without him, we wouldn’t realize we could do that, but since something was internally replaced it allowed this window of opportunity to purchase AppleCare (which I did). By the way, AppleCare is now a monthly fee for about $12.50 OR you can pay the slightly cheaper options of an annual $250 fee which only saves about $50. This worked perfectly for me because I might not keep this phone for more than two years or whatever the original AppleCare products provide coverage for. We tried to come back and give Kyle a Starbucks gift card but he refused to take it and was just happy that we were satisfied with the services. What a guy! Thanks for being an expert at what you do.

Horrible service! And the manager was worse than the worker. I went there 3 months ago with my Iphone 5C. Before checking the phone, the worker was very close to consider that I had had problem with the battery until the display got affected. They were basically asking for $230for display ?7 if that did not change a thing then $100 for battery while it was a manufacturer issue. I ended up paying a patent display and guess what, the battery still heats up and still is a pice of garbage. They did lose a customer for sure. I need to take my computer with my extended apple care and I definitely will avoid this location.

Genius worker Daniel was very helpful and knowledgeable, however his, what I assume manager came across really on edge and freaking out over a screen protector. Not professional enough in my opinion. I had to replace my phone that was faulty. Which is fine. However Apple doesn't stock the screen protector that I purchased when I originally bought the phone last summer. So I'm expected to pay extra for the only protector they stock now. Daniel seemed happy not to charge me for this. Then his manager undermined him and said I have to pay extra and was 'lucky' he was doing this. If not, would I like my old screen protector back. Safe to say and won't be returning or sticking with Apple Apple would rather save money on replacing faulty products than keeping customers.

Feeling very ripped off. I went in to the Pacific Centre Apple Store with an older phone that suddenly turned to black-screen. I was told that in terms of an upgrade only the XR and 11 models were for sale. Not something I can afford right now. So, they offered to repair my phone, but then pulled a bait and switch by saying the repairs did not work. Instead, sold me a "new" (I hope - don't even know if it is refurbished) 6s as a replacement for my old one for over $400. I was in a hurry, needed a phone, needed to get back to work, and made the purchase. I asked a few questions about warranty, but was never told that this was a final sale. Later in the day I came to realize that they sold me what must be the oldest possible model that still functions for nearly double the price I can get it anywhere else. I checked the receipt and found out it says "no returns". I also realized that they kept my old (broken) phone without asking - just rushed me out after pushing me to buy this new one for what turns out to be an outrageous price. Not only was I ripped off, I was mislead, and they took my original phone without applying a rebate or anything. That was my first and last experience at an Apple Store. I will not shop there, or ever deal directly with Apple again. I think it is time to switch to Android.

really bad service there as I took my mac there for repairment within warranty but was charged as they said there were rough in my mac. I have never spilled water on it before and I doubt they just "created" the rough and corrosion to deny the service I deserved. BAD SERVICE! If you want to buy a apple product, consider other retailers which may have better warranty terms.

I have an IPhone 11 Pro. It is supposed to be a water-resistant, but after cleaning it quickly underwater (it took two seconds max), the screen crashed and became black. I went to the Apple Center at The Pacific Center, and since the warranty has expired and because I bought the phone from Saudi Arabia, I was asked to pay $750 to replace/fix the screen as it was damaged by the water. Interestingly, the employee’s response was unexpected to me when he said that “this is not unusual and the screen might occasionally get damaged when exposed to water!!!” To be frank, it sounded like he was trying to cover for the defect in some devices and to put the blame on the customers (and luck or lack of luck) rather than addressing the main problem which is the manufacturer defect. From my side, and if what he said is true, I wonder why I am not getting my phone fixed directly and why I am asked to pay the $750?

The guys at apple literally saved me during a bit of a crisis ! One of them named Sam, and i cannot remember the other kind mans name but thank you to you as well! I had a computer crash while in the midst of a week full of exams for school and they did everything they could to help me. They got me in immediately to help me even though i did not have an appointment. They also magically got everything put onto a new computer for me within a couple hours. Bought an iPhone 7 recently and the charging port went bad as expected for an Apple product. I went to use my warranty and they told me that the port can’t be replaced and that I would need to pay $400 to get the whole phone replaced. So I started to make a fund to pay for this but after some research I realized I just need to buy the port on amazon so I did and put it in for under 50 bucks!!

I have spend few hours traveling to and from the apple store, all because of the sales person's mistake over the phone. I spoke to the manager, and he said nothing can be done. In short, I was promised a new earphones and a charger, over the phone (which turned out I wasn't supposed to get with the traded in phone), but once I showed up at the store the manager send me home with nothing. It seems like my time and effort costs nothing for the apple manager. He showed complete disregard for the time it took me to get there. Considering it was a misunderstanding on their employee's part, in my opinion, the manager was unreasonable.

I had to be registered 3 times, waited 45 mins and then complained only to be served almost 20 mins after my complaint. The store was full but the had sufficient technicians to help. went to check out apple watches yesterday. I was looking at the watches on display and wanted to take a closer look so I was trying to take the watch out of the display place to see. I didn't know those watches were fixed on the table. A white tall skinny male sales saw me doing this, said 'this is only for display and Please DONT move them' in a very rude and mean way. He's not even offering help like do you have any questions for apple watches. I'm the customer and have been using apple products for so long,however this is how they treat their customers.

It is with great disappointment and the utmost concern that I write this. I went to the Apple Store at Pacific Centre Mall in Vancouver to purchase a replacement battery for my iPhone 7 Plus. I was given an appointment to return in about an hour and a half. When I got back I was asked (very politely) to wait for the next attendant. He (again very politely) proceeded to ask me to go to settings etc etc the drill: battery diagnosis. So sure the battery should be replaced but it was not that simple (not sure why since I’ve had a battery replaced before in 10 minutes, no problem! Anyway I was given a quote that was over $20.00 more than the one I was given the day before when I phoned that very same store to ask the price (charger cord was $25.00 just as was stated on that same call. After I grudgingly agreed to pay the new price. The two technicians after a brief private consultation, laid my phone face down and informed me that there was some kind of “warping” on the metal frame that required further diagnostics. After a 10 minute wait, they came out and told me that in its current state, a new battery couldn’t be installed, but that there were “options.” After a couple seconds of pondering whether or not I wanted to hear these “options,” I took my phone and left. I ask myself “is this the vision for Apple that Steve Jobs had for his company?” Did he envision snake oil salesmen subtly cajoling customers into believing it futile to change a battery? I had read about the corporation frowning on the sale of replacement batteries, but this was so blatantly and brazenly obvious what these two chumps were trying to do. They must feel only idiots who have no clue come to the store seeking their expertise. The sour taste is still in my mouth. I certainly hope that if this is now policy, it will change!

Super Rude Staff. Have never experienced such terrible service before from any Apple Store around the world. My son and I were there today to try to pair my Apple Watch with my iPhone and it took over an hour somehow so my son spotted 6 empty chairs in the nearby table and went over to move 1 chair for me to sit on. This white male senior staff at Genius Bar stopped my son and said he could not move the chair. the chair was only for customers (??!?!) only who went there for tech support (??!?!) It was a tiny issue whether I could sit on the chair (I should point out the shop wasn't packed and there were empty chairs no one was using; also I bought the Apple Watch there and trying to pair it. I am a customer and was there for tech support) He was extremely rude to my son and myself. My son was very upset by his behavior and intimated by this old white man so he only put the chair down and walked back to me. When I tried to ask for his name to make a complaint. He murmured it the first time but I could not hear it so I asked him to repeat and he said he would only say one time and refused to say it again. The manager was no help either and she suggested that it would not be the problem of Asia Hate and Racism. Won't recommend! Horrible customer service!!

Update: Confidence restored. Returned to store this morning and spoke with store manager Adam. Explained the situation to him. He had seen the review already and was aware of the details. He was sorry for my experience and calmly explained to me what he believed happened. Adam also explained what the support page was referring to regarding out of warranty replacement and why there was a cost involved for my replacement. Once he finished explaining, I was completely satisfied with his response. Adam then promptly provided me with a correct new adapter at no extra charge on top of what I paid yesterday and said he would review the interaction with the Genius Bar representative. I thanked him and left the store very impressed with Adam's handling of the whole situation. Thank you Adam! _______________________ Not impressed with Genius Bar. Brought in magsafe adapter that wasn't working (2 of them actually). Upon "inspection" there was no visible damage to either adapter or their cords. The person made the assumption that problem was internal to the adapter because computer worked with one of the Genius Bar's adapters. Nonetheless I still had to pay for a new adapter at the Genius Bar (granted at 2/3 of the cost but with only 90 day warranty). I had to pay even though Apple's support page for adapters says the following - "Whether or not your product is in or out of warranty, you can take your adapter to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store for evaluation and replacement if necessary. Pending the results of the evaluation, you may or may not be eligible for a replacement adapter free of charge. Signs of accidental damage would negate any coverage. Be sure to bring in the computer used with the adapter; it is required to process potential adapter replacements." I'm confused now at what out of warranty evaluation would warrant a free replacement. He also questioned whether or not I purchased the adapter from Apple.. To make matters worse, before leaving I asked the person more than once if they were sure that they gave me the right adapter (I needed 85W) as the one he gave me looked smaller than the one he exchanged. He said for sure it was the right one. Well, I just opened it up and it's the wrong one(!) Now tomorrow morning I have to make another drive downtown, pay for parking again, wait in store again.. Very disappointed.

I arrived at opening time on a Sunday with a badly damaged iphone 6 looking to replace with an updated model. I was impressed by the number of available staff and organization. I was allocated to Anas who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Im not the best with tech but I was valued and treated with respect by everyone I dealt with. Long story short I was told that my phone was dead and the only option I had was to trade in my phone for another iPhone 6 and I would need to pay them $400-$500 for the new phone. I went to a local shop, it took them 15 minutes and they simple replaced the battery and my phone was on! I know that I am not going back to this apple store.

First of all they don’t allow purchases at the store so, the staff named “Don” at the front tells me to order online and pick up in store within 2 hours. I wait for almost 1 hours after ordering online and they tell me to come tomorrow for pick up as it is still processing. I ask for the supervisor name “Kaida” and she was very up front and rude. She didn’t even apologize nor felt bad about her staff member telling customers wrong information. Told me to go to Richmond Centre to buy instead. Cancelled the order because we felt mistreated.

Google should definitely add a zero STR option. We have been loyal apple consumer for the past 20 years. My pregnant wife purchased a brand new MacBook pro back in April. The device had an issue where it would freeze right when she took it out of the box, she brought it in after 16 days. They made her wait for hours even though she had an appointment, then told her they need to run diagnostics. She didnt have her laptop for three days, they confirmed that the issue was fixed and the device is good to take home. But no the same freezing issue continued. She booked an appointment again, they made her wait for hours and even though the doctor had recommended her not to stay standing up. They wouldn't let me enter the store with her to support her holding the device. She demanded a replacement and that she is tired of coming and waiting in line for hours because of a faulty device. The manager, told her that it is routine and that if the second time around after the hardware diagnostic the problem continued they would replace the device. Today we stood in line for the third time, we have a doctor's appointment we need to get to and they are repeating the diagnostic bullsjit one again. For the very first after 20 years, I'm disgusted by Apple's customer relations and the way they are treating a situation like this!

They are changing the batteries for free but they told me to wait for 1.5 hours or come back in a week. It was very poor service and they wouldn't even allow me to drop off and pick up later. I'm writing this review to highlight a couple things about the level of service Apple provides through their retail store at the Pacific Center in Vancouver. I recently brought my iPhone 7 in to have a cracked screen repaired. I received the replacement screen and some time thereafter my phone was exposed to rain for several minutes of use. The phone shortly thereafter began to fail in several ways (home button, screen, proximity sensor, and speakers all failed). I contacted David at the Pacific Center to have the phone looked over and repaired, and the only option that was given to me was a full phone replacement for $400. This is after spending $800 on the phone itself and $180 on a repaired screen. Now nearly $1000 in with Apple, they are asking for another $400 to replace a phone that apparently is not supposed to have any water resistance (despite their marketing claims to the contrary). The manager at the store acknowledged that the marketing claim was "counterintuitive" yet was still unwilling to help. While I've always been a happy Apple customer, this experience has left me dumbfounded as to why they are unwilling to stand by their products or marketing claims, and I won't be purchasing again from the company unless they are able to make things right.

Long time user of Apple and I always buy apple care. I came in to get a replacement charging cable. Coincidentally, my phone started to act up just an hour before I went in. It would not show as charging when plugged in and kept rebooting while not holding a charge. So while I'm there, I asked if they had any idea what might be wrong. They started by trying to charge my phone. Unfortunately, the phone kept rebooting throughout the course of an hour as the technician fiddled around (mostly just letting it charge and rebooting it). Without conclusively figuring out what was wrong with my phone and assuming they can't factory reset it, the genius bar technician prematurely concluded that it's likely a logic board problem (he indicated it's a $700+ fix) and suggested that I should replace my phone. While he continues to "try" to fix my phone, he brings in a sales person and I was initially quoted that my iPhone X would be worth $270 if I traded it in. The phone was just replaced 6 months ago (while under apple care) so of course I was very reluctant to accept that it's already dead. However, after some additional attempts to charge my phone by wireless charging failed, I finally relented that I'll buy a new phone. At that point in time, another sales staff indicated that since they're now unable to charge my phone, the phone is no longer worth anything for a trade in. Frustrated, I decided since it's not worth anything, I can try fixing it myself. Once I got home, I just needed to let it charge while turned off, upgrade the software and it's now working perfectly. Thanks Apple Genius Bar - I almost spent $1500 for no reason at all. They're there to sell, not to help you. Very disappointed in the service.

I took my mask off for a second to unlock my bank app which I don’t remember the password and he asked me to wear my face mask only after 1sec. So now after all the redirects of arguing with a recording, I was on hole for 30 minutes to speak to a human being. Was 2/3rds through conversation of how to solve the repair issue which was going to involve 2 trips to the store and the possibility I could be with out my computer for 3-5 days to simply replace my battery. So just as I was going to book my appointment we were disconnected. This would require me to phone back and wait on hold another 30 minutes. This does not even resemble customer service. So went to Youtube, found video and will replace battery myself. Thanks APPLE for making it clear exactly what you stand for.

I went to this apple store to pick up an iPad Pro which I ordered online on my birthday in December. The website said I could come in at anytime during the day and that I didn’t need to make an appointment. When I got there I had to wait at least 20 min. Basically the place is underemployed constantly and I wish I had been given an appointment. While I was waiting an old woman with a walker entered the store and one the staff members ushered her to the front yelling EXCUSE ME loudly and rudely pushing me out of the way for the lady who probably bought nothing. The person who helped me was obviously new because when he brought the products he couldn’t get his phone to scan or work properly. Also he brought a tiny bag for a huge iPad Pro and tried to make it fit which It didn’t and then he looked at me like I didn’t need a bag! He kept asking for help from another apple employee but she just got mad at him in front of everyone. Everyone in that store was miserable including the employees and you could tell by their faces. No seemed like they wanted to help! I miss the old apple store format from 2 years ago. The employees had real barcode scanners attached to the phones that worked well, were much more intelligent and efficient, and were also nicer. It seems that they will just hire anyone now. Service and innovation from Apple is dying since Steve Jobs died!

I have been to Apple Pacific centre before to buy products, and the employee was working hard to sell a product. However, when I went there to ask for help with my purchased product, I was treated very rudely. The first apple representative that was attending me was oddly rude and had the attitude of I am doing a favour to you, I don't want to help you, get out of my way. Then a second guy joined and he was even more rude. I left the store. I do not need apple products, I have been buying them because they have been fun to use and I trusted Apple. I brought my "retro" Macbook Pro (2012) in for a battery replacement last week, and while it was with the guys at this store I received a friendly phone call telling me of another hardware problem (dying hard drive) they found while running diagnostics. They were real about it and told me to replace it myself, as older models aren't worth the cost of repairs after a certain point.i appreciated that they didn't just offer to replace it with an expensive repair fee. Upon picking up my MBP, the keyboard and screen were freshly cleaned which was a nice surprise! Thank you!

People are nice enough, but god help you if you want a repair. I originally brought in my brand new macbook for repair after some liquid got on the keyboard. I was quoted that it would take 3 days. 3 Days later: Website shows no movement, need to call to get an update that they're waiting on parts (why? it's the current gen model). 5 Days later: Still no movement, I'm told that they actually made a mistake when diagnosing the issue and need to order even more parts. Assured that it will be fixed as soon as the parts get in. 6 Days later: I Have to call again, and told that they have the parts - but it will be another day before they will get to fixing it. I realize things take time - but if I wasn't constantly calling them I'd have 0 information, as they don't update your file online. For $419 for Applecare+, plus a $379 deductible, you'd think that the process should be smoother. At this point I could have bought a whole separate laptop just for the insurance. I really hope this is the last time I have to deal with them. Don't go here if you need any sort of service.

Today I have had an awful experience at the Pacific Centre Apple Store. I am very upset and disappointed with the outcome. I hope apple will take it upon themselves to better equip and train their staff with the skills necessary to prevent future customers from having similar poor experiences. I received a gift of an iphone7 plus for my birthday a few days ago. At my home this morning, I smoothly transferred my photos, contacts and other information from my Samsung Note 4 to the iphone 7. At home, I also linked my apple id to the phone without issues. The final step was to transfer the SIM card from my Note 4 to the iphone plus so that I could start sending/receiving calls and messages. I went to the apple store in Pacific Centre, Vancouver BC. for this final step. An agent named Francis was the one who attempted to help me. Francis was not very patient and was extremely unprofessional. Once the SIM card was removed from the fully functional Samsung, he struggled to take off the accessory SIM card piece to make the SIM card smaller and compatible with the iphone plus. I was struck by how aggressive he was and how he bent the SIM card and accessory piece unecessarily as he did this. Once, he put the SIM card into the iphone plus, the phone wouldn't connect to Rogers, my service provider. He had damaged my SIM card with the technique. I attempted to put the SIM card back into my Samsung and the now the Samsung would not connect to my network. I immediately asked to be assigned a new agent and he resisted. I insisted again finally Adam Mcleod, the store manager, was called over. However, by then the damage had been done and all he could offer was a sorry. Essential information on my SIM card is now lost, very disappointing. Attempts to get the phone working with a new SIM card failed completely and I left the store with no functioning phone and no way to communicate with my customers and clients. I am part of a Rogers business plan. I am not the one who set up the account and I am defined as a "secondary" user. As such, Rogers does not authorize me to get a new SIM card without the permission from the administrator. Not only is this inconvenient for me but the administrator is on a business trip and he won't be back until Saturday. As such, I am without cell service for 4 days until at least and probably until Monday when I will have to take to go to Rogers with the administrator to activate a new SIM card. This is very inconvenient and entirely unacceptable.

Awful customer service. Given how much Apple products cost, you would think there is some customer service training of the staff to treat customers professionally and politely. I was on time for my appointment to pick up a new Apple product, and without any explanation (there must have been less than 10 words exchanged - asking me for name, ID and purchase confirmation), was handed the product - had no idea re: receipt, next steps etc. When asking to see if I could look at the product in the store in different colours to make sure the one I got was the one I for sure like, they told me another appointment has to be made, and it was 1.5 hours later. This store needs to triage their customers better - having made a purchase worth a few thousand dollars and to confirm a colour is not too much to ask. Even when an appointment to go inside the store to look was made, they were late 15 minutes, when customers are told to NOT be late. I fully understand the importance and necessity of COVID protocols but they need to recognize individual customer circumstances where safety measures can fully be respected but not at the complete expense of decent customer service.

I took my mom to buy another iphone after the new design release 6 plus. However, the sales manager and the sales person from pacific center was not helpful at all and are very rude. They told me my mom has to show her ID in order to purchase the phone. I told them that my mom just came over to Canada to visit me during the holidays, and it is kind of odd to bring your passport around just to buy things. I offered to showed my ID. They gave me that kind of rude look and said, " only if you buy it the phone from your credit card.!" I told them that we just purchase a phone a few days ago and you can look it up from your computer records, and they refused! They told me that " APPLE HAS THE RIGHT TO CHECK YOUR ID JUST FOR ONE PHONE, AND WE WON'T SELL THE PHONE UNLESS YOU SHOW YOUR ID"! I felt very very insulated and really embarrassed as they implying that we are some kinds of fraud! I understand that they have certain policy, however, they can be much nicer about it as I have been shopping for apple stuff for years! I don't think it is right to treat their loyal customers this way!!

The staff were very friendly and were able to get me a Genius Reservation really quickly. Brought my 5s in with a battery life issue and the screen popping off. After a full charge, the battery dies at 30-40%. After testing my battery and showing me that it tested at the lower end of healthy, the Genius recommended replacing the battery for $100. I get that phone batteries don't last forever, but after owning the phone for less than 2 years, I think the battery should be replaced at no charge. Apple charges a premium price for a premium product. I had my old 4S for 3 years and never had to replace anything. I'm sure this store has helped out tons of people, but I wasn't one of them. Apple had a chance to keep a customer by helping me out. I'm pretty sure I will not be buying another Apple phone when the time comes in a few months.

A bitter experience. I made an appointment to get my volume control button fixed. I did not understand that this would wipe out all the information on my phone, or I would not have proceeded. The guy said he asked if there was anything important, and I',m sure he did. But when you are sitting across from a 73 year old customer trying to get a button fixed, you should be very sure you customer understands the significance of what you are going to do.. I can rebuild my contacts and emails. I will never get back the pictures of my grandchildren, or the photos of my bucket list Safari in Africa. My mistake. but they were not clear that fixing the volume control button would wipe all the information off the phone. Be careful!!

When my 4 year old Macbook Pro died, I brought it in to see how much a repair would cost. They diagnosed it on the spot and told me it needed a $600 part, but gave me the part AND installed it FOR FREE, despite my warranty being expired three years ago. I left the computer with them at 2:00 on a Saturday and got an email and phone-call saying it was ready at 6:00 on the same day. I don't know how it's even possible for them to run a business like this but they deserve a medal.

It took me several tries to reach the store by phone to setup an appointment the day before to have my wife’s iPhone screen replaced. The next day we drove all the way to the store on time for the appointment but we were told it that we would have to come back another day to have the screen replaced since they are out of parts at this location. We were very frustrated by the news because we were told the wrong information and took precious time out of our day just to come to your store and was promised to have the phone fixed that day. We both have been long time apple customers before and we were extremely disappointed by the kind of customer service we received. We would never want to deal with this Apple store again and our next phone would certainly not be an iPhone.

Absolutely incredible service. Can not get home because of the flood currently, and then on top of that my laptop started to give me trouble. Victoria went over and above to help me, and was professional and knowledgeable as well. With everything going on, her compassion for my situation was incredible. Was almost in tears I was so grateful and thankful for her help. I am avid Apple user and service like this is why. Will recommend this location highly!!! Thank you!

AVOID THIS STORE This store is one of the worst Apple stores I have ever been to. Customer Service is very bad. Once you have bought something, they treat you badly. They refer everything to the Genius Bar and you wait hours for an appointment. The people working at the Genius Bar are not well trained and try to get rid of you as soon as they can. Avoid this store if possible.

CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL: I brought in my laptop which had stalled mid-update and is completely unusable. I explained the problem and they took all my information and asked me to COME BACK LATER to drop it off, because it wasn't a convenient time for them to do the paperwork! In other words, the time it takes them to do the paperwork is more important than the time it takes me to go home, re-arrange my day and come back across town later to bring in my computer AGAIN. Why can't you just take it now! You know the problem, you have all my information... why do I need to come back later to hand you the computer? When I take my car to the mechanic and it's broken, you know what they don't say? "Now's not a good time, can you come back and drop it off later?". No, they take my keys, take my information and look at my car when they get a chance! Easy! I still gave them 3 stars because these guys are great and very helpful once you actually get in there... but come on. This is such a glaring flaw in their service system, and such an easy fix. Please guys, respect your customer's time!

Bring airpod and phone to repair under AppleCare Plus. Repair phone screen estimated 1 week. Have to wait another 45 minutes for the Airpod guy to come and check it out. Worst customer service ever.

The worst Experience Ever: Believe me when I say this store is bad I really men bad bad bad and it is not easy for me to say this words. I owned every apple product that exist from iPhone 3 all the way to the latest Iphone 7 plus, I also own a MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, Apple watch and 2 apple tv's so you really know how a big fan I am and how it is hard form me to write this review after trying over and over and over again to convince my friends to make the switch. I have to admit that apple impressed me but I am so disappointed now to learn that this company is taking other direction and now cares way more about the money and profit over their clients. It is outrageous when you have to wait for hours to service your brand new product just to find out that the agent is only offering you to leave your phone for couple days to be opened and may be see if they can or can not fix it. I just bought my new iPhone 7plus only 20 days ago and the agent suggested if I can not be without a phone for couple days, I could buy another new phone and use it till this one is fixed and return it. Really spend another 1300$. My phone was confirmed by apple agents that it has a manufacturer default, but yet I have to be without a phone and have to go and come back who knows how many times while they screw up the new phone and replace parts on it. This seem to me unfair, I bought a brand new phone 20 days ago and you confirmed it is defective, so what do I have to be going through all this and be without a phone for days so that you can try to fix it., why not give me a working phone??? I am so mad so mad so mad and never never appelle again. Thank you apple for making my experience horrible and thank you mr Manager for your ego and terrible service.

I've been to many of the apple stores in western Canada over the years, All I can say is this one might be the best. Excellent service with friendliest staff and a manager who is just as welcoming. I came in with a minor accessory issue and was dealt with promptly, seldom do I visit the apple store, but i will make sure my next visit is here. PS: I do not work for apple, but my opinion I might be biased.

Went to this store for repair on FaceID issue, line up, register, waiting. Then a technician came to check and test on FaceID Setting, and told me that, have to change parts at the costs of 560 dollars. First, I need the explanation on problem; Then, repair or not is up to me, this technician is at very rude manner, and unprofessional attitude.

Rude employee. Very bad Customer service. Review the performance of those ladies at the entrance. Went there twice to get an order placed and again the lady made me leave insisting on the fact that the item I want to purchase isn’t available in store and that’s something that I already know. She didn’t even let me finish explaining what I wanted and the reason why I was there, she tried to convince me to choose a different one or to come back another time when I decided. Rude and not helpful at all.

This Apple store doesn’t even deserve a single star. Worst experience of my life! They are rude and have zero work ethics. Employees just stand around and doesn’t even bother to greet and serve the customer. I went to the store and waited for so long so that someone could serve me but no one did. So I myself have to go around and search if someone could help me. They have WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Managers here are too unhelpful and just wastes your time. I would highly suggest do not waste your time by taking any kind of services from them or you will regret it later.

It is really ashamed on Apple that I bout an Air Pod Pro with guaranteed 6 months ago, so the left handsfree one was not working so I went for change that. After a couple of goes and back to apple the new one that they gave me is not working as well. It is a big disappointing about this Brand.

I went to the Apple store yesterday. I must say they have extremely bad customer service. My iPhone was not working properly & Asian technician checked it. He said my iPhone had issues so it is better to buy a newer version than to repair it. I told him specifically if I get a new iPhone then I would need Sales Representative to assist me to transfer my data to my new iPhone. He said “Not an issue” so he made an appointment to see the next Salesperson. I was referred to see a guy who was deaf and he can only communicate with me through typing the screen. We type back & fro however there it was very difficult for past 30mins & nothing was resolved. So they sent a White guy (another sales representative) to communicate with me. Both refused to help me transfer my data instead they asked me to call Specialist helpline once I get my new iPhone. ???? The excuse is “ Covid cases are very high & we cannot help you to transfer your data! You should set up an appointment with a Specialist help desk online to walk you through how to transfer your data once you have new iPhone.” It ultimately made no sense of all. Isn’t that a good customer service that Apple provide their customers? My iPhones were previously set up by other Sales representatives who assisted in helping me transfer my data to my new iPhones. I will never go back to buy my new iPhone from them.

At this Apple store in downtown Vancouver on Nov 22 at around 4pm. I was incredibly surprised and upset about the store manager's behaviour, who called himself HARRY. Making racist remarks is unacceptable, and this store manager should be investigated. I would highly recommend you go to another Apple store in either Richmond or Burnaby if you wish for competent service and a non-discriminatory attitude.
