This mall has been around ever since I can remember. Back in the '90s it was a pretty decent mall however over the years it's become more of a ghost mall. Only a handful of businesses still operate inside it, with the movie theater being the main attraction. It'd be really awesome to see this place come back to life however I've heard the rent for business owners is too high which is ultimately going to lead to this malls demise at some point. It's clean it's well kept considering the age of the building. It's a nice place to walk through if you want to kill some time but I can't tell you the last time I've spent a dollar in there.

Shopped at Dollarama today and decided to pop into the mall to check out the new shoe store, Tootsie. If the nail salon at the front entrance had not been open, I honestly would have thought the mall was closed! Between the vacant units, and the stores that were simply not open, it was almost eerie! I was the only person in the mall, aside from the employees in the pharmacy and those in the three stores that were open! I know that retail has taken a hit due to COVID, but there is no reason for customers who visit the anchor tenants outside the mall to enter the mall itself! Would be nice to see some operating retailers occupying the vacant spaces!

Love the mall it's easy to get around. I just hope that the new owners will start to attract new stores and companies to move in. Right now it seems like there are more store fronts closed then are open. Its got a big Metro grocery store there, a big gym to work out in and a Galaxy 6 screen theatre that's really accessible to people with disability.

Watch out for a janitor named Terry, if you're in the washroom too long he'll get very rude and threaten you with police action. It's no wonder this place is such a dump and can't keep businesses in it. There's nothing here you can't get elsewhere.

Great location with potential to grow! I see the new owners have made repairs to the parking lot and sidewalk. There are new food options, a new picture gallery and framer, Service Ontario, Fanshawe College Employment Services, Friends of the St. Thomas Library with previously loved books, a variety of clothing retailers, a shoe store, and more. This would be a fantastic location for a Winners store! Talbot Trail Toastmasters and other groups find the Community Room a terrific spot to meet up. The mall is wheelchair accessible and the city bus stops right at the north entrance.

Elgin mall is still recovery from the downturn here in st Thomas. There is only a couple stores I go to friends of the library, Coles notes, and the food court. There is no bank inside the mall just an ATM by the smoke shack. Cineplex opens at 6pm or so. Not much else to say other then a couple clothing stores but it seems like it's starting to come around.

I would love to like Elgin Mall, but it's in dismal state, thanks greatly to ridiculously high rent charges and an equally ludicrous profit-sharing policy. This has driven out the majority of good stores, leaving slim pickings for anyone on a shopping trip. The only reason it hasn't completely gone under is the gym, grocery store, and cinema. The cinema, Payless, and LifeLabs are the only reasons I visit.

Once upon a time, There was a small mall in a small city. She dreamed that one day she'd grow big and strong and compete with her other mall friends. But one day, a mean old salesman bought that mall. He increased the rent so high that the small businesses were forced to leave or close and no small business would dare venture there for fear of immediate bankruptcy. Her biggest business was Zellers, who went out of business during the recession. Elgin Mall was left disfigured in the economic downturn, and all of her customers rejected her, for she was no longer as glamourous as her friends. Yet, she still dreams of her glory days, when Sears and Cool Toys found their home with her. Maybe someday, a prince will come and rescue her.

This is the only major mall in St.Thomas. The decline of the infrastructure particularly on the outside is quite evident. Adding a Giant Tiger and a Dollarama to the mall is sure to bring in more consumers, abandoning the necessary repairs this mall desperately requires certainly is going to discourage others from shopping here...

A one-star worthy, nearly-empty, husk of a mall. No anchor store, and no attractions at all. I think there might be three operating food court venues. The only things here are a Metro, a Galaxy Cinema, and a Fit-For-Less. I understand there is new mall management and they intend to restore the mall to operability and new anchor stores. I raised this to three stars until we see if they follow through on that intention.

This mall is an abolsute dive. .ppl saying this and that about the owners like they care but u know they are just there for a quick buck. That mall will get renovated and they will sell it asap ! While the parking lot looks like the moon with craters and pot holes 12 inches deep EVERYWHERE. Outdated everything beside business that have upgraded. This mall had store like ... the doll store. And the sports card store. .who ever gave this 5 stars was probably born in St t and never been to a real mall. Metro is run by a buncha old ladies that hate there job but don't wanna give up there gravy union job at 20 something an hour.the movie theater??? Lmao. One look at it and I don't need to say anything more. Mall owner can't even afford to by maintenance equipment or clothing for there guys. Make them drive around on a lawn tractor from 1960 and buy there own coats. . Cheap cheap cheap.i love all these ppl saying new management 8s doing better and they are fixing parking lot soon. Yea parking lot was due for repair 5 years ago they are doing it now because there will be liability issues with 15 inch pot holes everywhere. Yes great job mall way to revitalize stuff/wait till the last minute. The lady who is head of management is useless and denied working at the wall when she fully uniformed in mall clothing. She acts like she owns the place instead of managing it. Young maintenace worker have been egar and willing to help ppl. Few of the older guys clearly hate there job. Can't even clean a washroom but claim they do and sign off. When I called one out 30 mins after he signed a clean washroom and didn't fill soap and thing was filthy nobody wants to take responsibility. Now the signature on sign off are scribbled because they to lazy to do it properly and don't want to be responsible.only ppl giving this place a review of anything positive has to be an employee at this mall trying to cover there arse

The mall has gone downhill in the last 5-10 years. Somehow they need to attract popular businesses to it, whether it's lowering the rent(which I hear is why alot of people leave), do some renovations, and re-do that awful parking lot. The parking lot alone prevents me from wanting to come to the mall as it's bad for the cars suspension. If something isn't done people will continue to go to London and the mall will eventually close.

The interior of this mall reminds me of a poorly finished basement, with 80% of the lighting in the walkway of the mall consisting of pot lights. Wok Express is the best Chinese food I've had though. Good giant Tiger, Dollarama, movie theater and Metro.

Elgin Mall (now re-branded as Elgin Centre) is growing again! Nice to see construction underway there of a new Holiday Inn and expected opening of it late in 2022. Denny's Restaurant is a real plus, too, especially with their large and fully-licensed outdoor patio.

Best small village inside one gigantic place. Every store has something you need. From food to pharmacy to books even a cinema for entertainment. Clothing stores Giant Tiger. Out side on south west corner of parking lot. There is Denny's Restaurant. Should I say more.
