This is a very peaceful and picturesque park, locate only 40 minutes from downtown ottawa. Only a few minutes walking from main shopping street of Perth. A few shallow crystal clear river (or you can say it is stream) run through park, for crossing these water, people build several little stone bridge , it is fun to walk on these bridges! From edge of waterway, you may enjoy watching fish swimming. But too bad, not many fish left these days.

Stewart Park is a beautiful natural spot in the heart of the idyllic small town of Perth. There are little bridges, buildings and monuments all around. Maintenance could be a little bit better. When I visited,in autumn many parts of the park were flooded and not fully accessible.

Oh the magic of Stewart Park. Every year if not twice a year we travel over three hours to visit Perth Ontario and this park holds a special place in our lives. Every hour of the day offers a different sense of life and activity with in the park with people milling about enjoying the park, commuting through it and simply having fun at the waters edge. This is something that you have got to experience, the launch of frisbee or your camera – or all of the above! For the ultimate experience book the room at the Perth best Western Parkside inn, The continental breakfast overlooks the park and you can sit on the patio and it is priceless!

Absolutely beautiful park! Sweet little bridges crossing the river with weeping willows that make for a perfect frame for picturesque colonial style buildings. Sweeps you unexpectedly back in time, making one want to simply *be*. Also a great little playground and approachable water access so kids of all ages can kick off their shoes and splash their feet.

A beautiful and extensive park bequeathed in the 20's. We listened to music played by brass and woodwinds in the bandshell. We watched families paddle in the different parts of the Tay, and wished that we, like many there, had brought a picnic. It was an idyllic spot.

Incredibly easy decision to get married here if the weather lets you! It was absolutely beautiful on our wedding day and very easy to organize with the town hall for a small fee. Fit 150 people with ease. Amazing place to take photos, with the benefits of all the well maintained gardens, the beautiful mature trees, old stone buildings, and the river. Plug ins are located for mics/ music, or outdoor generators to bring it closer to your event location. It’s secluded from traffic and busy streets. It’s a real gem in the area!

Great park just outside the downtown. Literally 2 minutes away by car. You can walk in to town from the park. There is a residential street that comes right up to the main parking area separated by 3 bollards. It is mostly seasonal campers (trailers), but there are some serviced sites available. We were right on the river. We thought it was odd that no one was out at 9:00 pm. Then the mosquitos came. OMG they're silent band you won't feel the ones that get you. They swarm, and don't take no for an answer. This chased us in to our unit. Other than that,bthis is a wonderful place we are going to travel to again.
