REVIEWS OF Lincoln Fields Shopping Centre IN Ottawa

Dana Little

It is what it is. It's an older mall with a lot of potential. There is a Service Canada office, which is super convenient as we live nearby. There is also a metro, for quick groceries and a dollar store. Otherwise, I think there are a few discount clothing stores, a Moore's.... Um... A bar that looks alright. It's in need of serious refurbishment and new energy! Maybe they could make it into one of those malls with doctors, dentists, chiropractors, physiotherapists, etc. etc. It's a great location in the west end so I'm sure they could drum up enough business!

Henry Duncan

Some hooligans took my hub caps while I was shopping for pepper. Also, the darn win a stuffed animal from the claw machine never worked.

Aaron North

This is an unfortunately sad little mall with some great potential that has gone unnoticed. The atmosphere is generally dated or run down and the bathrooms are subpar, dirty and small. The departure of Walmart has not been of benefit to the building. I'm looking forward to the potential destruction and rebuilding of the area in time for the LRT in 2023.

Bonnie Thompson

Nice little mall. Not much too it but the essentials for people who live in the area. We visited for a specific store and picked up some groceries at the same time. Ample parking and easy to get in and out of.

T Blake

The stores are slowly shutting down one by one. Every time I come there there's less people and less stores. The Metro is fine, the wine store is fine, the Dollarama is fine. Just another mall that's slowly going downhill.

Joyce Rivera

a lot of businesses have moved out because mall will be closing in a year or so to open way to condo building in its place. So for the time being, the highlights (that I visited) are the Wine store, Rexall pharmacy, Subway and family-owned restaurant. It's pretty quiet there so if you're in a rush to pick something up, it's great.

Banks Berckmans

There's a nice but small grocery store in this mall. It is basically a senior walk way. Quiet and predictable, always a good temperature inside and clean.

Sadly this mall has seen better days. While well lit and clean it lacks any big anchor store and many of the store spots are empty. Having said that, the dollar store is good and there's a well stocked grocery store in the lower level. DO visit Waldo's in the food court if you're hungry. It features a fairly big menu, all hand made and cooked on the spot. It's reasonably priced and good! Takeout is available. The staff are friendly too.

Emily McLaughlin

I personally do not like the area this mall is located in and there are not many stores here. It should not be considered a shopping centre at all. Female washrooms are always disgusting and ride on toys for kids are always broken, they have not fixed them in forever and do not get rid of them either. Just a money gobble-r.

Eli Nef

I miss busters, but it’s all good

jean kaiha

Not a whole lot in this mall since walmart moved to Bayshore. The dollar tree is good but other than that unless you need something specific it's not a place I'd go to just browse.

Greg Beaton

Lincoln Fields has seen better days. While a number of larger, independent businesses are holding their own within the mall, many smaller shops have shuttered and the space is slowly becoming a ghost town. Without shop revenue to renovate, the space is feeling older and older all the time, which I suspect makes it hard to attract new store fronts, perpetuating the cycle. What's here is pretty solid, but the emptiness is foreboding.

Steve Galloway

Does what it says.. Good Metro supermarket on site, and it includes enough retail options (Wine Rack etc) to provide adequate provisions for locals without having to leave the neighbourhood. Busters Bar provides senior discounting on their menu and inexpensive transport to Senators hockey games. There is plenty of parking around the mall, buses call by regularly, and wheelchair access seems good.

I feel very bad Charlotte mall it used to be such a lively nice place to go to and now it seems like when you go there it's just depressing. It's a shame because there's so many retired people and people with disabilities that lives near there they can't use . That's too bad I'm not a certified architect because I have a very good plan that would be good for the mall.

Adriana Cristescu

I love the coffee place here called Pam's. It is right in the middle of the inner hallway in the upper level, and serves a variety of coffee sandwiches and desserts. You can seat at the table right there. It is great.

Gailene Green

A dying mall with only a few stores and services. Most are suffering from a lack of customers. It's extremely well situated in an extremely busy spot surrounded by the transitway, Carling Ave., Richmond Rd., the Ottawa River Parkway and high density housing. But it's also halfway between Carlingwood and Bayshore malls which are massive.

Christina Feher

Its horrible whats happening there ! Not to mention metro is extortion & their deli meat & chicken is ALWAYS rotten. Hopefully the new one shapes up.

Lincoln fields mall is very lacklustre when it comes to malls and the city knows that too mainly because it is going to be torn down and it’s already been halfway torn down. The rest will be torn down once the new metro is built. I’ve only been to the mall a few times, however, my experience was pretty boring.

Skot F

There currently is no mall/shopping center. What is left is doing the best they can.

J

If it was not for the Metro there is no reason to go there

Joshua Wright

Location is good. Bathroom smelled strong like beer. Pretty sure I witnessed some sugar daddy hookups in the parking lot around 5 pm. There's a Wendy's restaurant in the parking lot which is great and the only one around.

Harley D

The sun has pretty much set on Lincoln Fields, especially since Walmart vacated the premises. I expect the mall will be gutted and converted to a big box centre or torn down and redeveloped into a mixed use destination within the next decade.

Stephanie Burnette

The parking is decent, plenty of space, especially now that there is no Walmart. This mall is very outdatedoutdated, and simply does not attract the masses as it could. It has a wonderful location and is surrounded by plenty of other amenities. The metro is generally fairly well stocked with items, making grocery shopping more easily completed, there is a nice little coffee shop on the upper level as well, for after shopping bevvies - unless your in need of something stronger, then there is a restaurant across from this café.

Jinan jaafar

You can find alot of stores no other plaza have it like a key maker ,shoes repair, hair dresser, farmacy, dolar tree, metro, phone reparing, copying ,fax and , employnent centre and so more

Terri Boland

The mall is torn down

janet puddicombe

Many many people use the pedestrian path from the corner of the parking lot to richmond road sidewalk. this is a paved path. For some reason you guys chose to put your snow dumps smack in the middle of this path. Now anyone with bringing a llittle shopping cart, anyone with a cane, stroller, wheel chair or walker can no longer use this entrance. I was there this afternoon and had to walk on the car exit (NO SIDEWALKS) to get out of the parking lot. I walk with a cane, and use my own grocery cart. good move.

Mike Bl

With the Walmart leaving to bayshore, the mall has gone slightly downhill. The grocery store is still popular, however the other stores do seem to be declining in business. Busters does seem to have a steady stream of people as well, but with the recent upgrades I think Bayshore is pulling most of the traffic.

Katrina Mayer

Right now Lincoln Fields is under construction but the pharmacy is still open (you can't access the store inside the mall at present you have to use the upper level outdoor entrance to access). The Metro is open as well. The Lincoln Fields transit station is just a few minutes away and is easily accessible from the mall. You can go far and wide from this transit station and it is a great way to visit other amazing places in Ottawa and surrounding areas and who knows you may see someone you know or meet someone new.

Brittany Inshaw

Lots of parking but not much going on in this mall. There is a Service Canada, an employment resource center, beauty school, wine rack, restaurant, Pam's Coffee, Rexall, and a few other stores. Oh yeah, can't forget the Metro.

Richard Rehder

Used to go here all the time, I wonder what they will get to replace Walmart. I hope it's something good as without Walmart less and less people go here, maybe they can turn it into him all type of things where they split the Walmart space into a bunch of different spaces for different businesses that would be kind of cool or maybe a maker Street North sort of thing or cityview where they have a bunch of different smaller businesses breweries Bakery all sorts of different places and things that would be really interesting and could help revitalize the area.

Brian Bridson

It's a run down mall and most places are closing (only Metro, Rexall and Moore's are staying) as they're tearing the mall down and building condos. Go go gentrification.

Matt Ellis

A bit old and mostly catering to locals. A good Moore's for men's clothing, but not much to make this a destination. Nearby Carling and Bayshore shopping centers have much more to offer,.

stephen flood

I give it 3 stars only because I feel for the private business owners trying to make a go of it . Since Walmart left it dropped the customer ratios by at least 65 percent. I hope for the retailer's things pick up

Paul Anthony Burrell

A great West end mall with lots to offer and plenty of free parking. Just a 9 iron away from Lincoln Fields bus depot.

Al Bel

This is location has less and less vendors. Most of the time you can get some groceries and couple small boutiques including phone accessories and medicine at local pharmacy. Rather then that it is dead place

Jessie Wainman

Worst mall in Ottawa. They are tearing it down and redeveloping it. That said this one star will likely change, as with the title.

Craig Keuleman

Dump,but. Gone now thank God!

Simon Ginsberg

One of the sleepiiest indoor malls around. Has a supermarket and a restaurant that have outside doors. The inside of the mall is good if you want to be alone. Tons of parking.

Andrew Wolgemuth

The era of small local malls is over. Malls today either grow into mammoth, glittering "destination" malls, or they die off. Lincoln Fields is following the latter path. It still hosts a grocery store, a rather small Walmart, a pharmacy, and a selection of small-fry businesses drawn by the comparatively low rents in a struggling mall. Unless the location is particularly convenient for you, there's not much reason to go here instead of Bayshore or Carlingwood.

Mark Dobson

Shopping mall located in the west end of Ottawa, includes some useful stops for locals such as a pretty good quality Metro, Dollar Tree, Rexall, employment centre, and also a Service Canada Centre. Excellent location near Lincoln Fields bus station (LRT in future) and a few local busses stop in front of the Metro grocery store. Abundance of parking on both north and south sides of mall.

Panzer Trooper

Great service at the new Lincoln Heights Metro. The store is big, clean and bright! Love how there is a full seafood department complete with a lobster tank as I am a huge seafood fan. Always pick up my salmon fillets, mussels and oysters from here as they are always so fresh! I will continue to shop here as every employee has always been happy to help should I have any questions!

John Bettencourt

I got there sometimes to meet friends. The mall is pretty sad looking. There's not much there really. I do enjoy eating at Waldos when I am there. They make great food.

Jo Henniger

Would someone please put this sad mall out of its misery? Only a handful of shops, with the highlight being Dollar Tree. I believe that just about says it all. The Metro is the smallest I have ever been too, and features lacklustre produce. The only gem here is Busters. Nice atmosphere and very good food.

Eric Kaiser

And only this many stars because there's a Walmart. This place has nothing of substantial value, and has had it's elevator broken for several weeks. They say the elevator repairmen are on strike, and I say Bayshore was able to get their elevator fixed in that time frame. People have strollers and wheelchairs, and you're making it might hard to justify going there.

clint butler

A dead end mall. One level. Boring as hell inside. Dated look and feel. Zero appeal. Lots of parking only because no one shops there

Chad Arsenault (Mooseman)

3/4th demolished. Housing only the Rexall and Metro. In the middle of the new development.

Lisa Goulet

Ok place with decent food options, especially PAMS Coffee, if you need to use the Service Ontario center, or the Employment office. The West End Academy is good, too, if you don't mind a student working on your hair (they usually do a gear job because they're being graded, but they're a little slow). The businesses here seem to be suffering a bit though, as there are a lot of stores that have closed down.

Rose Marie Campbell

I started going to this Shopping Center after having been away for over 20 years and it has kept its old-fashioned sense which is wonderful! I heard a rumor that they will be putting apartments in but hopefully they will keep the stores on the ground level and that it will keep it's old fashion sense. They have a great coffee shop on the inside too.

bradley palmer

Lol it's.not there eny more

Bellefille Me

Has service Canada and some great shops. If you have a bit of extra time I highly recommend getting a haircut or colour at the hairdressing school. The teachers and students are professional and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

Robert Walcot

Lincoln Field Shopping Center has an excellent Metro and icing with Dollar Tree store and the people at both places are very helpful in Sandy around the corner 5 star rating all the time

Mike Espie

Since Walmart is working very hard at creating a case of "broken window syndrome" Lincoln Fields has taken on a sadder atmosphere.... and that's exactly what Walmart wanted, but it will be able to buy out the entire mall for a pittance.

bob cat

This coffee shop is pretty decent I only gave it 5 stars because good quality customer service decent coffee had a really nice quiet atmosphere (because the mall is dead) to read a book. I only go there after seeing my dental hygienists at the dental hygiene school. Other than that I would not even have known about this place the owner or staff member there I hope them the best and hopefully they can reopen up somewhere if this mall ever does close great quality customer service. This mole used to be really lit or bumping with people when I was 427 years old I still remember that they still have the 1990s Batmobile car downstairs I know it's a bit off topic but I just want to emphasize how outdated this mall is but I know I'm running on check them out check out the dental hygiene clinic as well.

Wendy Gricken

Waitress was in a bad mood from the beginning. Asked for milk for coffee and she looked out. Brought a dirty wet cup for tea, waited ten minutes for her to return then went looking for her. I ordered a well-toasted English muffin (last time still white and cold) she brought me a burnt english muffin. I told her I couldn't eat that. She made a snide remark took it back and never asked if I wanted anything else or another english muffin. My friend's breakfast was fine. Waitress only returned to table 1/2 hour later to ask my friend if she needed anything and ignored me. Very unprofessional and this was no teenager. My friend and I have been going here for years and sometimes the service is good with her and others not so good or professional.

Enas Hosny

It's a very important place in hiding. Service Canada and Ottawa transport are here. Metro is overrated and prices are high. But mostly elderly come here to shop for convince near to their accommodations with many large buildings in the area. Walmart empty space is a shame to waste. It's a great space with a lot of potential.

Ashok Pandey

Very good shopping complex

Yuvaraj DP

It has become a antique mall now a days and very less crowd. Those who love calm place must visit this mall. One on One pizza is awesome and you have metro and Dollar tree shops which are good. It's cool place to hang out if you love piece.

aurelle JOY

Lincoln Field Mall has 5 major players occupying the main spaces. Metro, Service Canada, Moores , CNIH and lastly Rexhall. Many stores closed down after Walmart moved their operations to the Bayshore Mall. Recently the Dollar Store closed down making the need to frequent this mall as non existant. About a month ago the Wendy's restaurant located in the mall parking lot was torched, and cutting down the patrons that would shop in the mall. It may be a few years away but looks like this mall is doomed to be demolished and condos taking its place.

Laura

As a new store, is very clear and organized. It has a welcoming feeling.

Sarah Lennox

This is a great spot for seniors meeting each other for coffee, but don't expect to do much shopping if you're under the age of 70.

Emily Bould

The stores that are there like the Rexall and Subway are pretty good, but the mall itself is very empty and almost never busy. Carling wood is a short drive away and has much more selection.

Gini Cornell-Ribet

Metro and Rexall still a very handy place to go for anyone in the area. Unfortunately the rest of the mall is being renovated for condos/apartments. Staff at Metro very friendly and they have a good selection of specials. I always find what I was looking for.

Shar Bear

Shabby old building that should be knocked down, as it is in need of a complete makeover. Inside the mall, the stores are shabby as well. It feels very empty and outdated. As well, the bathroom was unkept and dirty, with empty soap dispensers. The garbage overflowed onto the floor. Also, I was not impressed by the type of stores offered here or with the product selection at the stores themselves. Most of the stores are disorganized. It was certainly not worth the visit and it was not a good shopping experience for me.

JE King

Had a lot of great memories here. Going to Wal-Mart, Metro (Loeb), Legend Records and Busters (formerly Buffalo Charlie's) . It had a lot of stuff. Unfortunately it went downhill and stores shtu down. They won't renovate the place. Sad that it has to be knocked down. Now Lincoln Fields will have a better future knocking the building down and building new stores and a condo.

Connie Terry

There is nothing left of the old mall. Can't wait until metro moves into the new building!

Alpha Seal

A dwindling mall that's due for serious renovations or a whole new mall. Dated, limited selection for retail stores. Since the parting of Walmart, this place has been a ghost town.

Don McEnery

Experience depends on where in the mall you are going and who else is there. The Dollar Tree staff have always been good. The Metro and Wal-Mart staff are usually helpful. For my tux for my wedding at the Moore's. I would recommend them. The staff there were quite attentive and helpful. My wife had a negative experience with the hair design school, was pay up front, job not done right, they didn't make it right.

hhg 301

In a state of rebuilding. Will 2022 be the year a shopping centre is reconstructed ?

Leslie Ashton

Order # 3278 Why would you place a poutine in a bag, tipped on its side, instead of flat??? Especially without securing the lid???

Mahmut Bilgener

This shopping centre is running out of business. Many store are empty. But the ones still running business have interesting merchandises for reasonable prices. If you want authentic out wears you should visit there.
