Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of people who bought the services and products of University Heights Mall (Mall) near Oak Bay (Canada).
Currently this business has a score of 3.6 stars over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is very high, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
I love this place coz it has gauntlet games in it. Also home depot.
Nice little mall. I live close by an I visit this mall at least once every 2 days....
Tired and desperately in need of a remodel- think Soviet era 70’s mall with about as much character. There are a few good anchor stores and promising restaurants here, but it’s strictly “get in and get out”.
I debated as to whether I should give two, or three stars. I really could have gone either way, but somehow the "two" star vote rang more true. The reason for this is because, the mall's interior and exterior and so drab and gloomy in appearance. It reflects poorly on the business that occupy the building. It's as if they get consumed by a tsunami of drabness. Having noted that, there still are a number of good stores at the mall, such as Save-on-Foods, the Royal Bank, Home Depot, Coles Vaccums, a post office outlet, movie theatres, and others.
Courteous and welcoming staff in shops, lotto kiosk and mall - all observing Covid precautions with ease and even cheer. Handy hand cleanser 'stations' built into walls by doors and available at other convenient spots. Easy use parking lot - not too tight or cramped, makes for reasonable calm traffic flow.
Pretty nice mall it has a grocery store, hardware store and many other little stores. I just wish that it had a store like Walmart or something like it there.
A fair variety of shops, services and a movie theater with plenty of underground and surface parking. Home Depot and Save On Foods being the two main stores with some independent shops and a fitness gym filling out most of the remaining stores.
Has all the life-basics and near so many more just across the road. All necessities. Parking is kind of tight, but underground is also available, so, plenty.
Nice to have a small mall with all a family really needs.
Just went to get a covid booster and mailed a parcel at the post office.
Between the save on foods and home depot, its pretty useful. And generally not bad finsing parking
Got harassed by the parking security at 7pm due to the size of my vehicle. He even states that that is why he came over. (The size of my vehicle and that I was “hiding” in it LOL) I had actually been visiting the Home Depot and was organizing the wood that I had bought inside my van. Security knocked on the side of my van to warn me about the parking time limit. The “Security” was not respecting social distancing, and I needed to back away from him as he was speaking moistly at me. I was planning on going to the grocery store before leaving this “mall” plaza, but decided to take my business to a different location that doesn’t “profile” my vehicle. 0/10: Can’t recommend.
The mall is alright, it's a bit dated not the best option in Victoria. There's several amenities at the mall though bank, liquor store, grocery store, hardware store, movie theater, gym.
I normally go to the University Heights mall for the gym that they have on the second floor, the Canada post store on the first floor, the cinema on the bottom, and the save of foods. It is convenient for us. Near this mall, you will have access to thrifty store, fairway market, Canadian tire, and home depot.
Five stars. Thank you Dr Peter
It's small, quaint, but a sanctuary! I used to work near by. Loved the old K-Mart (was sad to see it go). The movie theater was always a highlight of a busy week. Never too crowded ☺. No unisex restrooms.
Great little mall, has just about everything you could need
Nice place. Save on food is one of the best in this place. A lot of parking spots. Nice and clean
Needs updating badly
I used to live closeby, but nowadays drive across town once in a while to go there. This time to go to Home Depot. I also went to Save on Foods. But the lineups there these days are a deterrent.
Nightmare land. This relic of a shopping age now past will astound as much as it will surprise. The adventure of an 80's themed movie experience awaits you if you are brave enough to attempt it.
This mall is depressing, very few niche stores and the upper area has been totally abandoned.
Has everything you expect a mall to have, try the Taiwanese place Lee's house restaurant. I was pleased with the food there! Also the theatre here is usually the most empty if you're looking for somewhere to see a film without lots of people crowding it up.
This isn't a real mall, it's just a loose collection of unrelated stores.
Mall is nice and clean. Just lack of some big name stores. The Canadian tire is pretty good there and they got a big food court. Atmosphere and Sport check is tiny.
It's a small mall notable for it's proximity to Home Depot and Save On Foods. There's also a theatre downstairs and a dollar store. A fitness centre for women, a podiatrist are on the top floor. More recently a games room opened (end of 2017) Royal Bank and CIBC are located in the area. It's not a window shopping mall but it's busy. I call it a practical mall. Good for the neighbourhood.
Live the place so much I found a job there. Very friendly service, very clean store.
This used to be a great mall before they "improved" it. Back in the day there was more of a neighborhood vibe. There used to be a KMart, then that turned into Zellers and there were cafeteria style restaurants and more family friendly feel to the place. Feels like a deadzone now. Too much concrete and not enough SOUL. Place should have more FUN stuff, more REAL life, it's the UNIVERSITY hood but it feels lifeless and sad.
Great place to do renovations from the supplies at Home Depot with lots of parking , especially for the disabled.
This mall is a dump. My chiro's office is there or I wouldn't set foot in the place. Tear it down or spend some money on it. Other than Save-On-Foods and Home Depot there's little in the way of shops.
Home Depot was fine as usual but since the product I wanted is in high demand it was unavailable.
Good selection of shops but mostly specialty . You can't buy everything in one place here.
Pretty dated mall but has some cool features like a movie theater in it! Not much in the way of shopping like you would think of for a mall.
Creepy and weirdly empty. Old people go here for the Canada Post office and lottery ticket says my partner
Home Depot, a good Save on Foods, a movie theater and more. Lots of parking too
It's a great place for shopping and it is close to my house. I like Home Depot next to the Mall . It's so convenient. Thanks.
Has some good amenities such a post office, key cutting, shoe repair, phone repair and movies that are close to the university and Gordon Head residence which I appreciated. Not great for shopping and is kind of dark. Nice to shop for groceries nearby with a couple food places.
I normally buy stationary items from the dollerstore at university heights. A good place.
A very average shopping mall, not very many great stores. Has a cheaper movie theater which is nice, close to UVIC campus. The new games store is cool. Decent amount of parking considering the underground. Mostly come here for the home depot or Save on Foods.
Great atmosphere but not too many useful stores.
Nothing really in this mall. In fact the mall is scheduled to be redeveloped soon.
Good place to buy grocery. HomeDepot, RBC, are there as well. As usually you can find parking spot. Shopping mall a bit outdated but has a lot of potential.
Not much here anymore as the owner prepare work on their development permit. Home Depot is their anchor ⚓
Saanich needs to take a good look at this mall and make some changes. The quality of the stores is good, but the whole place needs a reno
All exists are closed..go stand in line up..forever..no thanks a lot of other places will let me in and take my cash..
I really had excellent service from the folks at Home Depot today including Morgan the shift manager and David the cashier and Mike the associate and there are lots of people helping us today I was very happy
It has a little bit of everything and has great parking space(underground and around back). Save-On, The Home Depot, and V.I Fitness are the backbone of the mall and a few of the smaller businesses offer other services as well. Kept clean.
Pathetic shopping center, only store worth using is Home Depot.
It's an architectural and planning disaster that needs to be demolished and rebuilt BUT it has a few nice services available like the University Four Cinemas and a few other shops and stores that can survive in their low rent locales.
Home Depot, Save On Foods, Royal Bank.......parking seems to be a bit challenging for some folks. But its a very handy location.
There is a black apple here that will fix your phone should you break your screen or need any kind of repair. I have my phone repaired there and it was $80 but I had to take it in a second time which was free and then someone stole that phone and all my babies pictures with it and that was a horrible experience but going to black apple was really great and I really recommend that you go there this is a really really really really really long run on sentence
Best dentist in the world is in there. Super amazing front desk people, amazing hi Janice and the dentist lovely .
This quaint little mall has an excellent inkjet refill business and a good dollar store.
Nice little shopping centre with an RBC..... Save on Foods.... Home Depot ... a cinema and a Post Office along with a few others... can be difficult to get a parking spot during peak times.... but remember you can use the underground carpark accessed from Shelbourne.....
Went to home depot to find a tool. The prodesk answered all my questions and helped me find the tool I was looking for.
it's sorta accessible once you know it, but it could be shocking for some
A nice little mall with a somewhat small town feel. Shops for all different kinds (and my favorite game stroe). A movie theater. Lotto counter. And more
This is a service mall. People come here to do their grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods, buy building materials at Home Depot, work out, buy alcohol, do banking. There is a cobbler, a post office, and the only entertainment is a movie theater. The mall is stated to receive a major overhaul. All of the old buildings with the exception of home Depot are slated for demolition/replacement.
Love home depot and saveon but the mall has almost no shops, even the shoe store is closing!
Vaccine clinic upstairs open Tuesday - Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m.
A good variety of stores but it does seem like or needs some upgrades.
Very old mall, it has decent stores like Home Depot, Save-On-Foods, and a few others, there are better malls in town I wouldn't really consider this a mall, I'm not sure what to consider it maybe just a centre.
University Heights Mall has never been a top mall in Victoria area. It has it's purpose but that's about it. It just has a tense air about it.
Great anchor Tennants - Save on Foods, Home Depot and RBC
Went to Home Depot here !!
Nice Mall with many great Stores
Genuinely scary monster house.. Awesome pumpkin carvings
Extremely beautiful spot. And the view will literally take your breath away. especially after a heave snow fall. Was a car in the ditch to the summit and the roads were all covered in a slush that made the hike interesting.
I.think it's nice
Home Depot eas very good
Easy access clean shopping centre. Save on foods has great selection with well prepped deli.
Old mall that has nothing to offer. Difficult to navigate through the building
Small mall but has quite the variety of stores - art store, travel centre, etc. Connected to a Home Depot
Very outdated and not a lot of selection. However it is a great location and has a lot of potential. You can get a few errands done here but it could benefit from some livelier stores. The main reason I go here is for the grocery store.
Great mall with good facilities Large variety of stores However some stores seem to be useless, and they should consider rebuilding. It is rather old. Save-on Foods is good, and Home Depot is always handy. The movie theatre is easily accessible to those living in the area. I love the movie theatre because u don’t have to go far to downtown or uptown to watch movies. Overall good but requires renovation or demolition
I got my booster shot vaccine. I didn't go around but it was look good.
It has a Home Depot. Need I say more? The only reason I’m giving this 5 stars is that it holds a Home Depot:) I believe other stores exist within the shopping center, and also believe some major renovations are pending on this shopping center. I look forward to the renovations and think it will be of great benefit to the local community.
This mall is great for groceries or things you need at Home Depot. Fitness ctr is all of upstairs. Movie theatres are most of downstairs. Rest of interior of mall is garbage stores that's seem to never last long.
Walked a round inside the mall. Noticed the chinese restaurant (Lee) is permanently closed. The one on the entrance towards Save-on Foods. Another casualty of the covid-19 pandermic.
Easy on the wallet with Save on Foods, Dollar Store, Tailor, Shoe Repair and Home Depot. Lot's of parking. Also Picture Perfect with artists to help you get the picture perfect frame.
This is a medium sized mall / plaza with a handful of quirky stores, restaurants and offices around in between a supermarket, hardware store and movie theatre. There is no food court inside but there are two decent Asian restaurants accessible from the outside. There's a dollar store, a game store, a post office/dry cleaners, a large fitness facility, and some health practitioners' offices. Parking is a bit confusing but since it is the largest conglomeration of needs and wants on offer in the neighborhood it is usually fairly busy.
Sorayas tailoring has earned my business. You won't be disappointed with the quality and cost.
Great Mall with lots of stores
JJ Morgan's restaurant friendly staff good food. Then home depot for variety of items.
Lovely local mall plus a movie theatre, shame they are tearing it down.
I've gone to this mall since I was a little kid to watch movies and buy toys. Now I go to the mall for work to pick up stuff at Home Depot, ha ha!
Since there are no more movies theatres, the Mall is not that attractive anymore. It's like a deserter ghost Mall.
Thank goodness this place will be rebuilt. Old sad mall, lol. Anchor stores Home Depot and Save on Foods keeping it together.
Movie theatre and save on foods my only reason for coming here. Dollar store, if it's open before a movie.
The Home Depot and Save On Foods are the two main attractions here. There are a few small shops and services and a movie theatre
It is a very spiritual spot, make sure to take a camera!
Other than Home Depot and the Save on Foods there isnt much i would go here for. It needs updating.
Not much here besides groceries and home improvement. If you're looking for that, you'll be happy with this small shopping centre.
Stores are mediocre and over priced
There really isn't a ton here. A REALLY awesome game store, and a movie theater. Meh.
What's the deal with the closed lower parking and what looks like wooden supports holding up the upper parking lot??
Clean and neat...few shops are useful to me. More oriented to a different type of person than myself...like most indoor malls.
Wow! This mall is Awesome, it is quiet and pleasant, not crowded, everybody is helpful and the services are great. You Also have Save On Foods and Home Depot with always a great Item Clearance Area. Check it out!
You got all shops in a Center. Safe on foods Home Depot royal bank dollar store post office. Good useful place
If it wasn’t for the Post Office I’d never go inside here. Looking forward to it being demolished, so that can’t warrant much more than 1 star can it?
I visit the shops and theatre here often. I sure missed the book fair they used to have there at Xmas time!
Nice little shopping center...it has pretty well everything you need
Lot of great shops. Usually visit when we do to home Depot
Situated very nicely, movie theater Save On Food and Homedepot are just a few stores to mention
A bit of a parking tragedy happening here. Best bet, come in off Cedar Hill and enter as if to exit. There are often some spots available near the exit out back onto Cedar Hill. Better yet, just walk
This poor old mall really can't get a break. But Home Depot was very bright and busy on a rainy night
Small town feel indoor strip mall, love it!
Good options. Services available.
Home depot staff are great The mall center is closing, as there putting in condos but a few stores and keeping Save-on , Home depot. Have no idea when
I used the coin to cash machine in the save on foods center but I Brock it
a mediocre mall with the bare bones..lotto post office n $ store between the big home depot n save on foods
Mall is finally getting redeveloped! It will take 3+ years, but it's worth it! I miss the movie theatre though....
This mall is great if you need a grocery store of liquor. Does not have any clothing stores i would recommend. There is an exercise center as well.
Good dry cleaners, grocery, Home Depot dollar store, etc... And a couple of places to eat.
Has a great grocery store. Lots of free parking.
There is nothing at this mall except a dollar store and a tailor and a post office that I have found useful. This should not be called a mall
Ok mall, could use a face lift and a lot more retail space. Other than Save-On-Foods and Home Depot the other stores aren't very interesting. That mall feels like it's stuck in a different era.
It's a typical strip mall with a very poorly organized parking lot. Though some of the business are excellent, some offer little interest.
Good place to get stuff, and buy groceries. Plenty of restaurants. Not a place to hang out for hours, unless you're planning to bindge watch movies.
This is a cool practical place ...and fun to come see movies!
Very busy mall. Lots of parking but very crowded
Nice area great mall
The mall continues to slow down with businesses closing. Saddened to hear the hairdressers at the mall had closed.
Good selection of stores and convenient location. Very narrow parking Lanes though.
great little mall, dollar store was fun to explore, saveon great as always.
A good place to stop by and grab the necessities.. there's saveon, dollar store, home depot, post office etc. Could use some renovations though. Entertainment wise the movie theatre downstairs is great ;) and gauntlet games just opened shop and is worth checking out!
University Heights is located along Shelbourne and Mckenzie and is anchored by Savon Foods at one end and Home Depot at the other. It has served the Gordon Head district for many years. The mall is scheduled for re-development to accomodate more retail outlets and housing.
A super convenient little shopping complex. Old but great movie theater, large grocery store, home depot and more. I believe it is slated for a demo and new build.
Needs more variety items and lower prices.
Excellent hours and good selection of amenities for a little mall. Parking lot is awful at peak times.
Never went inside it doesnt look inviting enough to wonder.inside
The work on Shelbourne Street is easy enough to negotiate to get into the parking lot. (Thank you workers.) Parking lot is good.
This is a good spot to get groceries, snacks, and home products. I don't usually make it inside the mall but there's a movie theatre as well.
Dump
They have basic Necessities I suppose. Theatre can be good because not many people usually go to that one
This mall is a solid location to get groceries. Easier to park here and go to Save-on than brave fender-bender alley across the street.
University heights is a strange mall, and I would never go there to window shop. I am only ever here to see a movie at the theatre that I am embarassed to be seen watching, or to buy cheap renovation supplies at Home Depot, or to grab some last minute alcohol at the liquor store.
Sad to hear that this mall will be taken down to pave way for new development. Will miss the businesses and the cozy movie theater.
Cheap movies on tuesdays! There's actually a lot in this mall complex and I find myself coming back. Also parking is super easy.
The owner is unpleasant and very expensive. He quoted $32- to replace lifts on my boots. I paid $$22- at the Hillside Shoe Repair, in the mall next to CIBC. Avoid this guy and save yourself money.
Have to keep going outside to enter other stores. It's ridiculous and unnecessary
The movie theatre is good. It's never busy and sometimes no movies I'm interested but it's a great one to go to then there is
Not a large mall but some good stores. Home Depot, Save On foods, Thrifty's Liquor, UH Pharmacy.
Since the theatre is still here it gets a mediocre rating. Honestly hasnt been good since Johnny Zee's left 20+ years ago. The home depot is a different issue I've reviewed separately.
This isn't really a mall, it's got a couple of stores and a theatre in it. Nothing wrong with the stores, but this isn't some big shopping plaza
Wouldn't go back to Dollar Store, 4 people working, 3 too busy visiting with each other to help us.
Great games store! Good parking, nice little theatre.
Has some good anchor stores and essential services. The actual "mall" part is a little lacking.
Alot quieter now without some of the shops and gym that brought more people in.
Small home depot and save on. Movie theatre in the basement. Other cool shops too, rough parking
Other than Home Depot and the old cinema, nothing to speak of. The surrounding markets, with Boston Pizza, are great though.
Large mall with several big box stores - HOME DEPOT, SAVE ON FOODS, Liquor store, movie theater and food ouets. JJ Morgan is one of the better restaurant's.
Minimal wait time, even with Covid. Wide range and variety of stores
University Heights shopping centre is a large mall with lots of nice bright natural light from all of the glass up top. The dollar store and Home Depot, as well as the grocery store and liquor store are the main reasons I would ever really go there. There’s a movie theatre but it’s very dated and the seats aren’t on an angle so if you’re on the shorter side of stature like myself, it can be difficult to see the screen, especially if you’re seated behind someone. There are other stores located in the mall, as well as a dentist office I think. I wish that there were kind of other stores in the mall, most of the space seems kind of wasted or bare.
I miss jonny zees ????????. Save on great, home depot awesome. The parking lot is huge considering it's a pretty tiny mall.
Nice stores, very clean, grocery store, Home Depot, cinemas, dollar store, liquor store, etc. Not an "everything" mall. Rebuilding in 2019 or 2020?
It's not a mall without a food court !!
The mall that time forgot. Extremely depressing. There is a home depot here but the staff are all useless. Mostly Uvic students who need a temp job
Not much there. But grocery store and home depot clean and lotsa parking
It's got a couple banks, a Save On Foods, dollar store, post office and Home Depot. Also has a gym upstairs and theater downstairs. Pretty good for daily chores but not very exciting otherwise.
No reason to shop there anymore, sorry
Small crazy parking lot for a shopping mall that feels dead inside. The Home Depot is keeping the place alive. There are better malls in town, such as Hillside.
Except for Home Depot most of the shops are not very interesting. It does have a post office though.
Very clean, not that busy. Love all the stores and staff!
Nice grocery store. Big home depot. Handy little theatre. Mall area does not offer much. Numerous store closures. Large fitness center recently closed.
It has a great well-organised Elections BC office. I delivered my postal vote, and then when the Advance poll started Thursday, I came back with my wife so she could vote. Big shout out to the staff for a job very well done.
Limited stores. Seems to be emptying out slowly. Atleast they have a post office.
Although mall is dated and stores selection are limited, the mall is kept clean and quiet. I do like home you can easily access home depot, save on and the movie theatre without exiting the mall.
This is a mall of sorts. It has a cinema and a Home Despot as well so it is pretty handy. (They spelling back there was a joke by the way).
Great Mall with great stores for all your needs
really don't ever go to the mall...usually just go to home depot...but one of the few times I was in the it seems very clean
I was assaulted in the parking lot on July 1st. No response from management after four calls. Edit: moving to three stars. Management responded Monday morning. Sometimes things happen in their own time. Thanks to Kevin Wong at Wesbild.
Good and faster Covit 19 service delivery
Pretty good, I occasionally see movies here. - A little grungy, but a fine place to see a movie. - Great to go see weirder films, the theaters tend to be pretty empty. - Good for students. I went to UVic and would frequent this theater over he one on campus.
I only went to home depot has alot of good stuff but I used to like going to the movie theater and johny z's years ago not sure what's in there now
Not very much of a mall at all, stores inside include a dollar store and a couple doctors offices.
Could be more distancing by shoppers. masks not worn by the staff ,would make me feel safer If they did. Also shoppers
Shopping center and so, lots of stores... Great selection in each store... Prices are reasonable... Great area!!
When i have togoto Home Depot iwill tolerate the terrible Parking there andthe poortraffic flow, i hear they are going to do a complete reno of this mall. Good.
Old mall with a few store lotto kiosk, movie theater,, home depot dollar store , post office, and fitness place on top floor
