Here you will see the opinions of real people who have information of the products of Scotia Square (Mall) in the area of Nova Scotia (Canada).
At the moment this firm gets a rating of 4.1 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is high, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the score is very faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
Scotia square is like a hub for the city. Lots of parking with pedways leading all over downtown. They have lots of small shops to purchase all kinds of different items and food.
It's finally shaping up after a prolonged period of construction to build a new addition. I'm not a food court person, but I have to say the one at Scotia Square is a cut above the rest.
Well designed, easy to maneuver about, pleasing to the eye, a small variety of few stores, but a great variety of small fast food restaurants, with a few (depending on definition) small coffee shops.
Great way to walk around downtown indoors... However, not many stores for shopping
Love this place! The dollarama here has lots of toys.
Beautiful place to relax or grab a snack before work
Best food court in the city, lots of selection. Place is clean and we'll maintained.
So far its good
It’s a nice place to work, dine and shop. The washroom are always clean, there’s a big options of what to eat and also there is a few pedways to go to another location there in Downtown.
Lots of places to eat and a some cute stores to shop at. Great way to spend your lunch break as there are lots of sitting space and areas for large groups to sit together!
Nice, Kind and Polite but no concern for The Peoples who are Vision impair or Blind People at all.????
Easy access, quite complete services like bank, clinic, shops and good variety food at its food court
Pretty convenient hub with a little bit of everything downtown. Recently renovated to have a lot more of an open concept urban vibe. Wide selection of food to grab on the go. Lots of locals end up wandering around on their lunches for shopping and leisure, haircuts, manicures etc. Also a NSLC liquor store, Dollarama and some handy services like parking ticket payments, and passport photos.
Food court has the best McDonalds I've ever been to. Parking is somewhat expensive.
Best area of downtown Halifax, all type of services are available over here. Be it mobile, food, bank's, grocery, tim hortons, starbucks and mall is having connectivity by over the road passage to other buildings as well.
This mall keeps improving as the years go by. The food court upgrade was definitely needed it and overall this is an excellent business mall.
Newly renovated and very clean. Very accessible with great options for eating and shopping.
Good places to shop
Terrible hours! How can you only be open until 630?? And not at all on Sundays? This is Halifax isn't it? Feel like I'm in PEI.
Pretty uninteresting and small shopping mall. Better for some specific errands than going out just shopping.
Great customer service. Very friendly CSR.
This place has gone downhill and has for a long time. Shame really.
Recent renovations are really nice. You can actually hang out and work with your laptop. Wish the wifi was better.
Needs more up-to-date shops. Though they are under construction and trying to revitalize the downtown district, it's just not there yet. Their food court is a vast improvement with much to offer, otherwise not much to go for.
The mall is fine...good food court, not a ton of shops but caters fine to the business folks that it mostly services. That said there is one particular store I will warn you away from...Bentley's. Do yourself a favor and buy your luggage elsewhere. When we asked if a specific piece of luggage had the reduced price on tag we were told there was a further discount from that sticker price. That is until we went to ring it up...the sale price on the ticket was magically the only reduction...despite what the rep and the discount signs indicated. Ye olde bait and switch. Buyer beware.
Ideal for meetings and food. Great assortment of coffee and food. Not a great shopping centre, but a lot of business access.
Got a big food court and sometimes has cool booths and events going on
The food court is impressive
Scotia square is a central hub for businesses in the Duke and Cogswell towers. The mall itself is a glorified food court, but it is quite good!
Scotia square is a place to get fresh drink like ,Tim Horton
As food courts go, this one has a lot of variety and tasty options. Indian, Korean, Chinese, etc. Plus the usual fast food chains.
Nice and big food court with a large variety of shops. Great for albeit busy at lunch!
For a city like that size, Halifax, it's a big and organized area, some buildings together, where you can find stores, services like post office, English school, and a lot of restaurants and fast food stores. It's accessible for all. In downtown Halifax, near the casino.
Good shopping center and food court, not as big as used to be but sufficient for those who work in downtown Halifax
Lovely selection, stupendous food court, inconvenient hours for millenials / trendy crowds.
I feel confident to say this is the best food court in entire halifax. It has wide collection of international restaurants and more importantly you can find McDonald's, Tim hortons and Starbucks in one place
The only reason I visit this mall was for the HRM customer service center... Which closed last year, but was not advertised in any way, shape or form. Thanks HRM.
Decent selection of shops. Parking garage. Good food selection, NSLC. Friendly info desk folks. Buuuuusy when lunch rolls around. Good access to other shops in Barrington Place and pedways that can keep you warm and dry all the way down to Purdy's Wharf.
Only really good for food, coffee and booze. Liquor store doesn't even have a full selection
This place has an awesome food court, but there aren't many other stores in the mall.
Shopping for personal items at LAWTONS; purchased cards, wrapping paper, tissue, and items for a child's birthday party at the Dollarama and saved a significant amount of money; had a coffee and snack at the food court.
Very nicely done. After the renovations it looks much better and good selection of restaurants. Very convenient for most of the people work down town. Not that very convenient for people who is not working there.
Enjoy every moment here shopping or depositing money
Wonderful food court surrounded by many great stores and kiosks for all your shopping needs.
Scotia square has going through a lot of changes in the past little while if you were going to the Scotia Bank Center you can go and grab a good bike to eat at a fantastic food court and I don’t know grandma is a great place to go if you’re looking for some cheap souvenirs of Canada if you’re in town for the day off of the cruise ship or an event.
Love the additions and there is food for everyone. Despite being downtown it is kept quite clean.
Lots of options to try different food. Sapce to sit plus convenient walk to buildings across the road through padways.
In the centre of the Downtown Halifax.Offices around.Hotels and main areas of attractions.Food court has lot of varities from lebanese to Indian n so on....Tim Horton available which s the best coffee of Canada...try French Vanilla if u r sweet tooth.....
Wide variety of stores/businesses, a massive food court and newly renovated look. Perfect for downtown shopping and a central hub for most buses.
Needs a game or comic place but the food court is amazing. Glad it has a dollar store. The coffee pod place is great. Happy with all the stores they do have.
Great spot for a quick bite at the food court. Halifax’s most popular bus stop.
Not alot in there but it's a beautiful well maintained mall. If your shopping for fashion go here.
Very good for accessing the Delta Barrington Hotel an food courts of the mall an parking for many types of cars an truck's personal one's.
Not easy to find parking
Great way to walk around a big chunk of Halifax without going out in the cold. Walked from Cogswell all the way to the Keg on Market and never got my boots wet.
A dying mall in the middle of downtown. Very few shops, some only being seasonal. Does have a Lawton's drugs with a post office, The Source, a small liquor store and Coles Bookstore. The food court has a decent selection though although it did just lose Starbucks. One of the main bus terminals for the city is also located here but poorly designed.
It has a fine food court and Lawton's / Dollar Store for generic items but not a good place to browse. Many boutiques.
Good small retail mall with a phenomenal food court however I do wish there were more stores to shop at. Hopefully in the future as it seems renovations are always on the go!
A one time shopping destination, it is a shell of what it once was. Still, it can be accessed by the skywalk and the food court is excellent. I recommend the " Taste of India" for authentic and delicious curry.
It very nice, you can shop and the food court is amazing
The food court at Scotia Square is really terrific due to the variety, especially with some international offerings. It also has gross and unhealthy American fast food but the international offerings make up for that.
Its not a shopping mall. It's office buildings with shopping options and a very decent fast food court.
They have everything you need in there. But they close at 6. Also its right by the bus terminal which is a major plus.
This mall keeps evolving and with all the natural light in the most recent renovation It's become a much more welcoming and a great place to meet, being the hub of the downtown core.
Great food selections, has almost everything i need. They should have a sushi place in there tho.
Pretty cool tour... needs more food spots ???? cheers!
I went to " taste of india " had " masala dosa" an amazing south indian cuisine. It was so good..
There's a great food court here with delicious Indian food. Overall the mall is very small, but it serves its purpose for that location in town.
Modern & bright space small shop selection and reasonable food court options
Not the same anymore. There are a few shops like Dollarstore and Lawtons! Service like photocopying, shoe repair, Drycleaner and lotto both. Blue Cross office.
Little slow due to corona but still a good place to hang out
It's not the best place, but it's close to work. Small shops with limited inventory compared to many other spots.
Great place for food and if you wanna do a little shopping, dont forget that you can use the pedways to get all the way to the waterfront without going outside.
Modern looking after renovation. Good selection of restaurants in the food court.
The food court has really improved with several new options added to the already impressive list. Other than that there really isn't much in there. It really is just a food court and a few shops meant to serve the office tower above it.
Different lay out for a mall...good food court...and best of all... They have a liquor store!!!
The Scotiabank center is located near the beautiful waterfront of Halifax, and is surrounded by many hotels and restaurants that are within walking distance. We came to see stars on ice and had a great time.
I don't really think they deserve good reviews
This is a pitiful shell of it's vibrant lively past. Just another dead mall with a huge food court and nobody eating there save a few lonely souls. Depressing really.
Scotia square food court is the place to be if you are an officer worker in downtown Halifax at lunch time. Pretty typical selection of chain restaurants and an awkwardly cramped eating area that is usually pretty busy.
Usually pretty crowded but never as bad as the Halifax Shopping Centre. Good spots to grab brunch.
Not much for shopping. Large food court though and access to numerous pedways on cold or rainy days.
The food court here is amazing. Inexpensive, good quality, great options with both chains and local places represented. Prices are good too. Worth it for a quick lunch before heading back to the office.
Excellent food court with a wide variety of selections to please all.
Haven't been there in years .on my visit to Halifax I stopped in .nice to see it busy in there again
Choices in the redesigned food court are excellent. A great cross section of food.
Good food court but pretty sparse as a mall. Dollarama is probably the highlight of the mall. There is a Source and a couple of cellular stores. Lawton's being in the mall is also convenient.
Was in to the Scotia Bank and coffee from Tim's in and out
There's Wi-Fi, music, it's warm and a great place for any meal. I like to come here to people watch. Or use the bathroom.
Nice little mall in the heart of downtown good for a quick shopping trip ,dry cleaning, getting a bite to eat or getting your nails done. Convenient for anyone working or living in or near the downtown area.
Not great for shopping but nice food court for a quick bite. More than the regular fast-food options.
Great place to do quick shopping although not a lot of shop options. Large food court!
Excellent food court. Poor selection of shops.
I have been coming here for years, worked here also. Its a great place to do some shopping with an amazing food court with so many ethnic food choices. Definitely liking the Reno!
Well organized parking garage, areas are clean, and food court is covid careful.
They have really changed this place and for the better. It is quite the improvement from what it was but it is still just a mall.
We arrive on a cruise and we walked everywhere it was incredible. I will recommend to walk instead of getting an expensive tour.
Stores close earlier than posted on their web sites.
One of the best places in Halifax. There are many shops and take out restaurants, and free power change also free WiFi.
A decent mix of familiar franchises and unique ones. Big food court for such a small mall, but it mostly services the surrounding office buildings.
Its has lot of variety of food joints. Starting from Lebanese to India to Chinese to Thai to standard canadian food joints A&W, McDonalds, TIMS, Subway etc.
This mall kind of feels like Grand Central Station without the clear signage or any sense of direction. Parking is a mess, and just accessing the building can be daunting if you're not one of the many suits that traverse there every day. I'm sure if I went there more often and got to know it better that I would like the place more, but as a newbie it's a mess.
Food is awesome and connected to Twin building. Those who are coming for US VISA at Halifax it's very convenient because the place is connected through tunnel.
Love the food court here. You have so many options. The taste of India is my favorite!
Everytime I go there everything is closed.
Thai express has a vegan tofu fried rice with (specify) veggie sauce to keep it vegan, really nice staff extremely filling - totally worth the trip when you don't feel like cooking yourself !
Best mall to do all of your purchases and make travel arrangements, it has restaurants like thai, indian, Lebanese, chinese and fast food restaurants like a&w, subway, and etc. Also, coffeeshops Starbucks and tim are there. Its really close to the hotel halifax. There are paid parking available if you want to park your cars.
It is a small mall that mainly caters to the downtown business crowd during the week. Decent size for court but not many stores.
Hustle and bustle as usual, great spot for a snack and coffee
2019 "Love Never Fails" convention of Jehovah's Witnesses AMAZING
Good variety for lunch. Most places have good portions for reasonable prices!
Under renovation as of late but the changes are well worth the small hassle of a small detour! The mall is always kept very clean, there are many stores and services available throughout, a tunnel to get to the trade centre across the street as well. The food court has a decent view of outside and it's also typically kept very clean. Great eats from McDonald's to various asain cuisines.
Has some good stores but some tight hours of operation
Great mall to hang out at; beautifully spaced out. Placed perfectly in town.
Places to eat and basic stores.
Nice collection of different joins offering various delicousies from around the globe. It has Asian food like Chinese, Thai, Korean delicousies and arabian and Indian delicious along with Freshii and cafe having Starbucks , Tim Hortons ,etc . Tons of options to choose from
Good amount of staff...like food stores and stalls.
Nice little mall located right in downtown Halifax. Its a hub of sorts of a lot more things (office buildings, call centers, etc) so you get a lot of foot movement through the main area. Layout is a bit confusing, but can be navigated easy enough using the maps. Decent selection of food in the food court, and if you explore enough you should be able to find a place that will fit most of you needs store wise.
I love the food court here.
Love S.S.
This place has lots of businesses within it, including dental and gold Appraisals and key makers! Nothing is open after 1800, not good for the many tourists staying nearby.
You can get great food from McDonald, Subway, India Food and much more shops, also get coffee from Tim Horton & Subway, Get medicine from Lawton's Drug, walk in clinic is also there, get services of Halifax Transit from office located in Scotia Square. Get your tickets booked from travel agencies, do shopping from famous store Dollarama.
Food court offers a wide range of meal choices, did find it a bit noisy however...
Last winter, when we came to the Scotia Bank Centre to watch our Moncton Wildcats play, we stopped by Scotia Square. We did not have very much time so we said sometime we gotta stop here to look around. This summer while visiting we stopped by. It has a lot of food vendors to choose from. I believe this mall would have been very busy 10 years ago with lots of shoppers, but now it seems more geared towards the workers in the area for a place for them to eat at. It’s still cool to see, but not much shopping.
The food court closes too early. I can understand the rest of the mall, but the food court should be open until 8. Of the two elevators, one will be perpetually broken. Sometimes this one, sometimes the other. But always one. And sometimes two. They provide blunt notices posted beside the elevator, so that you may see that the elevator has been out of order three weeks passed its eight week timeframe. I will say it's relatively clean for its location. I imagine the upkeep is hard work.
I have visited Test of India restaurant. I tried dosa, it was like a blessings in foreign country. The test of Sambhar and Chatni was Dam awesome and dosa is good in size and value for money. I would love to go everyone.
This place used to be awesome but it has been on a steady decline in the last few years. The only reason I go here now is for the hotel and the car rental place.
Very quiet. Clean bathrooms.
Insufficient recycling or drive to get people using recycling. Most food containers don't fit into the compost hole so you can't tip your meal in. Please put up a sign to encourage recycling and get the colour-code receptacles to alert people to separate items.
Great development, super easily accessible by transit, ferry and bicycle!
various of choice here, can find any restaurant or store you like. it is a good place for people who work stidy or live around.
I love Scotia square.. it's square and in nova Scotia what could be wrong with that.. has a Scotia bank and a McDonald's but even better a dollarama and a Starbucks like what could be better than that...absolutely nothing
Great food court, not a lot of stores to shop in though.
The building itself is ugly and should have been torn down years ago. The only thing decent about it is the food court. Other than that its only good to walk through to get to somewhere better.
Best spot to meet new faces and hangout place . You can taste Indian food in Taste of India or you can grab burgers in MC Donald or A&W and can try subs in subway or the little fresh And also Thai express available for Thai varieties. This place is almost busiest place like Halifax shopping centre. Lastly miss to mention Timhortons, star bucks and many more shops like Dollarama ,Bentley and Lawtons
Parking garage is easy to access, has easy payment system for time in parking garage, in my opinion it is too pricey tho. 10 for 2 1/2 hours and a 20$ a day maximum.
The ground floor is offering variety of food like Chinese, Indian, Italian etc. Having NSLC store near by for the drinkers.
Cleaned up a lot from when I used to go there in the 90's. Love the Mooseheads team store
It's the place where you can find a lot of restaurants under one roof. Even Indian and Thai restaurants are here. Usually this place is crowded all the time. Other shops are also inside this mall like dollarama. Underground paid parking is available. Anyone can easily reach here with public transportation also lots of services from this area.
Great selection and wonderful layout, a huge upgrade from previous versions of the Scotia Square food court
Not the best or most interesting mall there, but if you're downtown and don't need anything to specific, it'll have what you need. There are a few clothing stores, but I wouldn't think to go there specifically for a shopping trip. The very large food court would be the highlight here. Lot's of great options or various local and big fast food businesses. Strongly recommending Taste of India.
Lunch time the food court is too busy but very good place for eating
As we were on a budget, we stopped at this food court while staying at a downtown hotel, Good food as far as food courts go and pleasant staff.
Huge shopping destination , close to highway. And bus terminal. Plenty of parking space. If u r a shopaholic this place is for you ! Lot of food joint and space to sit or dine in with family and friends.
The place was always a favorite when I was younger. Seemed like there was so much to do. But now it's basically closed from Friday at 6PM to Monday morning, which I understand caters to the work week rush... but it really ignores the weekend travelers. Lots of food, unfortunate hours, not much else.
Good shopping mall. With Large food court, a bank and other businesses on site.
Very good food court ????
Lots of places to eat, good variety. Currently being renovated to look newer.
Hours of the mall aren't great and closed on Sunday. Shop selection is not enticing. Redeeming feature of the mall is the food court but would be good to have it open Sundays
Decent mixture of professional offices and some shops and services. There is a food court a few salon type places, a dollar store and a bank among other things. There is a pedestrian that connects this building (centre hill aka halfway up to citadel hill) down to the water on Purdys Warf and the Casino! It also connects to the Harbourfront Marion hotel! Good for rainy or snowy weather!
It's ok. The food court is good but it's no longer a mall. It's a business hub.
The food court is bright and clean. It's quite nice.
This mall is a glimpse of what purgatory might be like. Boring. Only redeeming aspect is the pedway connection. Good place to get dry if you're stuck in the rain.
Top MNCs located in Scotia Square, Transit Connection is Fabulous at scotia square you find Buses which connects to every possible routes of Halifax, You would find Dollar store and NSLC in the premise also expect lot of food options at cheap pricing. All major cuisines are available.
Such a great place to attend events. I've been here for multiple things including AUS basketball finals, Moosehead games and Halcon and ever event has been a great one!
Great place. I often just sit in the food court and people watch
It's never been my joy to go here. It's the closest The Source and Coles Books from my home, but it's never fun to try and find the quickest way in and out. Sometimes you've just got to walk through it, which is almost worst. This confusing labyrinth built into the 35 degree incline that is the Halifax downtown core is the sort of mental and physical impediment that drains business from our city.
As long as Taste of India and Korea Garden are there, it will remain the best food court in Halifax.
A lot has changed at Scotia Square in the past decade. The new look is amazing!
Very nice
Loving the new open concept! Very clean, very well lit with natural light. Really liking how it's coming along
Nice place Very well maintained
Ok , not alot to say other than , this place is so amazing , and so full of rich history :)
The biggest draw is being downtown Halifax send being attached to the Delta. There's not an overly great selection of shopping destinations, however there's a great food court to satisfy any type of craving. There is also an NSLC to bring back a little taste of Nova Scotia back with you if you're just visiting at the Delta.
There's not much here. Food court is okay but you're not going to spend a whole day shopping here. Like say you wanted a super nice pant suit for that job interview next Tuesday at IBM, I don't know if you'd find it here. But you could get a nice plate of noodles and maybe that's enough
I used to go to this mall in the late 70s and early 80s. It's changed so much since then. Fewer stores but those that are there are shining things up and doing well.
They are renovating, which is why I can't give them 5 stars. However, the offer the most stores in Halifax under one roof aside from the malls. The place is also full of comfy furniture and nice plants. Aside from shopping, they have a large food court with options. From TIM Hortons to Asian Fusion. Scotia Square is also connected by Pedway to the World Trade Centre and Delta Halifax hotel.
Amazing space for major events! Cirque du Soleil!
Well maintained and with good stores around. There are many smokers breaking the rules and smoking at the entrance doors.
Not much life in the mall, anymore. Very blank area.
Few good stores! They have Starbucks and Tim Hortons. There is a parking garage and wheelchair accessible.
A very dated mall in the heart of Halifax that is trying to reinvent itself. Not a lot here as far as shopping goes but there seems to be a real effort to change that.
Well past it's former glory days with many closed business and empty storefronts. Still has a good number and variety of stores however, and a nice food court Recommend if you are in the area.
Mall is clean. Food court has great selection. Access to Halifax pedways (malls, offices, hotels, and the waterfront connected by covered bridges) Halifax services office. Not many stores.
Very cool
It's a few quality stores and a huge food court. Adequate selection of everyday items.
Was visiting Halifax I absolutely loved this mall. While the store selection is relatively limited and stores close fairly early you're able to find any general necessities you need. The best part was the connecting walks between buildings, you could travel a decent distance indoor while getting where you need to be.
Awesome food court. Great choices and flavours. Indian and Korean are always excellent
Nice place, wide selections of food. a bit crowded but I love it
It's a cute little spot, clean and some good stores to peruse.
Best part was Dollarama, not same animal.
Although you have variety of restaurants in the food courts, not a lot of choices but Subway on the weekends. And your Christmas tree is...terrible! So sad to look at.
A nice mall/food court located in the heart of Halifax's office building district. A good selection of places to buy things, and to eat. Conveniently located, and connected to many buildings nearby.
It is a good place to go and grab some good and multicultural food and the dollarama store is a must go if you want to save some money.
It's got the biggest cafeteria space since they finished the renovations. Almost once a week, they have events. . I've seen carolers, shoe sales and singing on valentines day. Just crazy good, I always take the overpass across the street inti the building. Good location and right next to a main terminal
The directional signs need to have larger writing, they need to be lower, needs to be more noticeable, and there needs to be more of them; like in front of the elevators off the food court to point to the bathrooms insead of pointing to bathrooms the general area.
Slick and modern place where you can have a nice hot cup of coffee or even a bite of fast food if the presence of business white color workers doesn't bother you. Several levels of sitting area with great views really compliment to this place.
Not even a mall. Great place to go with friends on the weekends to just simply hangout. Very quiet and empty on the weekends.
The staff in their NSLC are very friendly. I find the Dollarama handy if I forget cheap art supplies before a show. I haven't tried the food court yet.
Scotia Square is pretty much used by workers Downtown during their lunch break to go eat in their food court, but you have the essentials like Lawton's, Dollarama, the Source and a RBC. It's a small little downtown shopping center that's used mostly to get a quick bite to eat
there is nothing in this mall waste of space can't even ship for anything but the dollar store and fast food joints..
Best food court in North America. No joke. I have been all over, and this is as good as it gets.
I mean... Where are the stores? Why do I have to travel out to the forests of Dartmouth to find stores? It's a great place to catch a bus! Though.
I am paying a visit to my hometown and popped into Scotia Square to check it out. Wow, I was impressed with the changes. The food court is vert nice and bright - good job Halifax.
Looks far less dated with the recent renovations. Food court is really nice now. So many choices for food, a great spot to stop in for lunch while downtown. Can get very busy at peak hours, but the wait at most places is never too bad.
A uniquely Maritime commercial centre where you can sample an eclectic blend of services and products ranging from award winning fish tacos, a chance to purchase your family tartan, get a hair cut or your shoes shined. Not feeling daring? That's ok. You can stick to your familiar mall offerings like Reitmans, The Source, etc.
Good shops including a pharmacy and dollarama, BUT! the food court is what makes this place stands out.
Good for some quick shopping, food and has connectivity to casino, Scotia centre and HRM lines.
this place is a main hub for homeless to have sink showers and mix there liquor in the stalls. outside is a public toilet. honestly I feel bad for whoever manages this building, I can definitely tell they try very hard to keep the "business folk" happy with modern upkeep and the food court stocked with variety for lunches. the shopping quarter unfortunately is lacking but that is more due to lack of shoppers in a online shopping world. Coles is nice to see and dollar store is convenient. honestly the overall presence would be nicer if it wasn't over ran by homeless guests in and around 24 hours.
I always seem to find myself here when I'm in town it's a staple of downtownism. The pedways connecting it make it a great all year round place to go. Its centrally located. PLENTY OF CHOICES. 8/10 must stop here again
Very busy with plenty to see and lots of shops to visit but the location makes parking a nightmare. With public transport all around the best way to travel in Halifax is metro transit. Cheap, safe and reliable transportation. Plus it's easier on the environment and that's what's the most important value we as Canadians should be holding higher. Let's all try a lot harder to leave something beautiful behind for our families...our kids.. instead of asthma and global warming.. extinction and worry..( I apologize for any offense I may have caused by this review. It's not something I normally do but I feel that if one person takes something away from it it's worth the fuss and backlash I may receive)
Great place for work and one stop shopping, or to relax in the newest seating area and eat in relax. Just avoid the lunch hour because the area is packed.
What isn't to love about Scotia square, open, bright, lots of food and shops to interact with. It can be a bit loud during lunch but where isn't in Halifax right?
Great mall. Lots of shops to eat . There are all kinds of foods available. Also has the bus stand nearby. Ample amount of seating space. There is Scotiabank, Lawton's, Dollarama, and bell alliant at the same place. Nice.
Great selection of foods. Biggest cafeteria in town.
Love the variety of foods at the food court! And they are very well prepared for the lunch rush! And for being as busy as they are, the place is quite clean!
It has its very base clientele. Good food court but tends to attract undesirables unfortunately. More or better security patrolling would be ideal..
Best day food court , worth try if you are downtown looking for quality lunch on reasonable prices
This place has come a long way from when i moved here in the late 90s. What a nice mall. Too bad there isnt more in there but im not complaining.
I work in Scotia Square and it desperately needs a shoe store and more clothing store. I rarely use the food court but it is great and the best part of the mall right now! SHOE STORE PLEASE!!
As a mall, it is not much to talk about. If you are downtown and want a quick decent priced bite to eat, then the food court will be your spot.
Dollarama and Lawton's are both in this building.
Got alot better with renos but still not a hug draw...the nslc is garbage and store still avoid setting a shop here how ever food court is problay better then any other in ns
I don't understand how this place is in the middle of Halifax, theoretically the best spot for a mall, with lots of retail space, but it's not that great and never busy at all. It could be much better with some work and better stores.
Cute little mall with a good food court and very clean.
The hours of operation are a bit strange but there is a great selection of shops and the pedway always comes in handy.
Not much in it for a mall any more
Great place for food court and shopping
There for the Christmas Parade. Parking was $12 then it took so long to get out of the parade it cost another dollar at the exit!
Mall in downtown Halifax. Has one of the best food courts in the city, Korean Garden's soul chicken is called "crack chicken" by the locals because of how addictive it is. The mall and attached buildings are mostly office space, with a few store mixed in.
Many shops available, but thanks to Covid-19, limited shops are opened. The food court is operational with various cooking styles available. The mall is kept up with the housekeeping.
Dont dislike just the hours are restricted for alot of food court? It's alright if you want some food
Nice mall in the downtown area, lovely environment but not many choice of shops. Unfortunately, most of the restaurants in the food court were not opened due to the pandemic, even the McDonald was closed.
Lots of food options..great dollar store ..not alot of shopping
Do not go to Freshii. TERRIBLE service. I never write reviews, but this location has the worst service of any business I have ever seen. I purchased a burrito today for the first time ever at Freshii Scotia Square...you have to pay for extra protein and I told them I did not want any as I am vegetarian and the black beans that came in the burrito were fine. They ended up giving me one with chicken and I didn't notice until about half way through the burrito! Let me just point out that this place offers to be a great option for vegans and vegetarians.... Anyway, as I haven't eaten meat in years I was quite turned off and asked for my money back. I had just opened my Perrier and also set that down. The manager there (didn't get her name but she had brown hair and glasses) refused to refund for the whole meal. "The burrito is the only thing wrong with it so that's all I am refunding for" is what she said. She was very nonchalant about the fact that she just fed me chicken and very unapologetic. She seemed like she was annoyed by the fact that I was even complaining about this. Another thing I will mention is that my coworker was behind me in line. She asked if they had any specials on. The girl at the cash answered "yes burritos for 7$ but it's over at 12:30". The time was 12:33! This place is a joke and has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I am absolutely disgusted.
Used to be more pleasant before they closed the windows. Now it's all artificial lights.. Basically if you work in one of those towers around.. It's a convenient place to buy your meals from
Cool and nice.
Has really nice food court with all different options, fast food and healthy food. Dollarama and lawtons. Also Strand hair salon and nail salon.
An efficiently run place. I left my handbag behind in the food court and it was taken to security where I picked it up. I cannot thank them enough.
Great place to have quick lunch, good variety of choice and link to many amenities in Halifax.
Very convenient location. Easily accessible from many of the hotel in downtown Halifax. Several stores with a wide variety of services and a good food court if you are on the run.
Really nice people. Very Helpful
It's always open and there's wifi and a bus stop
It was good .places to sit eat. But ya need more stores...and when it's Christmas time ya need to decorate the mall hardcore.
Food court has everything also drug store and bank beer and wine store convenient to hotel Halifax
Lots of ethnic food choices. NTT Data works out of here and that place is horrible so it loses stars for hosting such a bad company.
kinda boring but it has dollarama and a&w ;)
This was the first time I had been to Scotia Square in probably 35 years. We ate at the food court as We were in the city for the parade of lights. I didn't get a chance to see much of Scotia Square but what I did see had beautiful Christmas decorations.
I just love how this small downtown mall is turning. It used to be rather small with low ceilings. The mall part has not changed that much but the lobby and the food court are on point. Great place to grab a quick lunch in the middle of the day with so many options to choose from.
It's a mall that closes at 6pm in the center of Provence's capital's downtown area Besides that it's not a bad place to stop in. It's got a dollar store, a food court, a book store, a drug store, and a few other little places. Just remember to get there before 5:30pm
There really is nothing here for the public. A couple of stores and a small food court plus their hours are short as most close between 5-6pm.
The shopping is not great! They have a beautiful food court! There is a great dollar store their too!
Good food shops.but to shop not so much
Most of the shops were closed but looked like a good centre when they are open. Good food court.
Honestly, pretty weak for a "mall." If all you care about is the food court, then that part is pretty good
Nice connectivity of places
Downtown & lot of interesting spots including Pubs & restaurants
Parking is expensive, full day is $22. With constant construction as well. There are a few good stores here but generally its catered to the people that work in the building.
Highly recommend going to Mama Grattis for their breakfast sandwiches (so fresh! many veggie toppings and sauces) fruit, granola and yogurt parfaits with blueberries, strawberries and banana. 2nd recommendation Seoul Chicken at Korea garden, so good and addictive!
Nice place to hang out. Dollorama in this place is good. It has h&r block, lawtons drugs and many other outlets. It has food court too..
Great place. I love Dollarama and Tim hortons always a must when I am there.
Very empty, not many people shopping for midday on Saturday
This is my go-to place for eats. Plenty of varieties to choose from and a good place to relax with friends.
It's nice after the renovations but I am still mad about kicking out the older vendors from the food court.
It's the only mall in the downtown area except for the one on Spring Garden Rd but i remember Scotia Square as a child
A once bustling hub of activity and shopping interest. Scotia square is best described as the most depressing place to mall walk. Its only still relevant because people need to pass through it to work.
Recently renovated so clean and bright. Good food court. Not much for shopping. More a service mall with a bank, phone stores, drug store, medical clinic.
Scotia Square has lots of places to eat at. Everything from Macdonalds to Sushi to Indian. Not too many store fronts here though. The source and dollarama are the big ones. Lots of tvs around the cafeteria so you can see the news.
Convenient parking, but not free. A few interesting stores. Very good food court.
This arena is amazing! There is so much yoy can do and see here. I was here selling 50/50 tickers for cadets, and got to see the bottom floor where the rehearsals and preparations to be on stage happened. I also got to experience the Tattoo first hand, and it was Incredible! ! I HIGHLY recommend attending!! Also, Scotia Square is a great place for sporting and athletic events. Been there for the Bluenoser runs with my son.
Quick convenient shopping
Shops you don't see in other malls. Great food court.
Was there around lunch hour like a ghost town and to now see the automation in Dollar store wow discouraging
I go here fairly often. It's nice how connected it is to other nearby buildings and the good selection is pretty good, I go back often
I used the parkade and and went to see jonny reed. When we tried to get out of the parking it was a nightmare it took about a hour security had everyone running a round in circles some going the wrong way
Great shopping location with an amazing food court. Going through growing pains with the renovations.
Good place for food. They have a lot of diverse options in the mall. Not much else haha GO TO MAMA GRATTI'S
Went to the tin Pan Alley in the food court they have hand cut fries, fresh fish, and much more fast service good hot food
Convenient place to shop and eat if you work downtown. The renovated food court is amazing.
This space isn't being utilized very well, especially for the location. You are right by the Halifax Waterfront, you could add more stores to attract people.
The worst place to park if you are from outside halifax. I will never park there again. I spent 30min looking for a pay station because there are 0, zero, NO signs inside the parkade letting you know where the pay stations are!!!!! And to add insult to injury, there are NO pay stations on the second floor. I didn't know that because ONCE AGAIN THERE WERE NO SIGNS. So it probably cost me extra trying to leave the parkade and never go back!!!!!!!
The improvements to Scotia square make it a much more desirable place to go when downtown. The food court has a lot of options and the few shops inside are worth stopping in for.
A shopping mall cum office complex in downtown Halifax. The mall sports most of the utilitarian outlets a business traveler or a tourist expects like banks, travel agencies, a food court, telecom shops, souvenirs and even engraving cum duplicate keymaker. The mall is clean and well maintained. However those who are looking for extensive shopping for dresses, footwear, accessories and cosmetics etc need look elsewhere.
Clean, business district. They have a good assortment of food menus. Easy access to many businesses, just follow the signs.????
Think "mall food court" and you've got the idea. That said, there are quite a few options and the food is decent.
It was on bus route and I needed a coffee
They take covid seriously and have security making sure people are following arrows and wearing masks as well as have seeding laid out to make sure the people are sitting in seats too close to each other.since they've upgraded this mall and done renovations it's absolutely beautiful the dollarama's in there as well as lots of places to eat a small NSLC and a small bus terminal to keep warm in it also has a Starbucks a Lawton and that's where the Mooseheads fan memorabilia stores. The indoor headways allow you to get through half of downtown without ever having to go outside
Not a great selection of stores but a really good food court!
Great food. Clean . Lots of space. Wheelchair accessible. Good variety of stores.
Diverse lunch options for the people who work downtown. But gets busy at peak lunch hours 12:00 to 1:30. Seoul Chicken from Korea Garden is the best.
After recent renovations, Scotia Square is a beautiful place. The pedways make getting around Halifax in the cold a simple thing.
Mall has killed it's foodcourt (only thing it had going for it) by kicking out local favorites to make room for large corporate food like McDonalds. No reason to go to this mall unless you work there.
Poor excuse for a mall. If you’re looking to shop keep on walking past this place. It’s really only a corporate centre for 3 big business and a sad food court.
Fair choices, great food court.
Great place to catch a good meal or a meeting at the food court. Stone throw from the water front. It also houses a few outlets like dollarma, Lawton's and NSLC.
They have done a lot of work here and it is a great lil downtown mall, expensive parking though so make sure you got a lot to do.
Beautiful place but all shopping amd food close too early
Was there on April 22 re covid shot. Had a McDonald's coffee and sat at a table on the Barrington Street side of the food court. It wasn't busy Didn't see anyone disinfecting tables or chairs. Did see one employee watching for trays or debris. The other side of the Court was more occupied than where we were and there may have been staff disinfecting over there.
The cafeteria place is very good and convinient for everything. Cafe, NSLC, food court.. i recommend here!
You can get most of what you need there. The stores in the mall carry cloths, and books. Plus they have lowtons and a pharmacy, walk in clinic, educational center for international students, various offices, cobbler, Bentley, electronic store, dollar store plus many others not mentioned here, and, a large good court with various meals. Parking lots. Etc.
Typical underground downtown mall. Food court gives some good inexpensive downtown food if you need a quick bite. Though hours are not convenient unless you are a 9-5 downtown worker.
Awesome variety in the food court, could use a few more stores but has some decent places for a quick lunchtime shopping trip
Nicely renovated. Great food court, clean. Basically no longer a shopping destination though.
Not the best assortment of shops but the food court is great here
More of a business office than a mall. However great food court and still might have what you need
Has a small selection of stores, Dollarama, Thesource, A luggage shop, a few clothing stores. There is a nutrition store, a poster shop and a sporting goods store as well. The food courts is pretty small and not many seating options available, an A&W and a treats as well as another small place. The Cineplex is kind of cool being on the basement level, where the gym is also located. I believe there is either eight or nine theatres located in it.
Great stores. Awesome food court (its got a booster juice thats all that matters. Tons of other stuff to though)
Not bad!
Like food court...dollar store .. source... lawtons... bookstore. Needs more stores that are not high end miss bentley. Prefer going there rather than Halifax Shopping Centre.
Much improved over the older version before the renovations. Down side is paying to park.
