Looked around and saw plenty of kool stuff Halifax to buy but the price was just a little higher than I thought reasonable. But I've been called frugal more than once. Nice location right next a sitting parkette on Halifax harbour. Got my hair cut and that was not inexpensive either.

Healthy and ethnic food can be found here in Halifax. I had a great salad bowl for breakfast. Lebanese, Egyptian and Indian booths did not open early. If you are looking for fast food, this is the place. Needs good coffee and tea outlets here.

Clean, nice, comfortable hotel in bayers lake park. Says alot about a place when the hotel owner is serving breakfast and chatting with everyone. I was impressed!

Plenty of convenient shops connected directly to the Barrington. Pretty close to the water front, only a short walk. All great service and food.

Nice place to grab a bite to eat ( A&W, Tim Hortons, McDonald's, etc.) Just to name a few. Or stop at the Dollarama for whatever else you need. There's a big food court to sit down eat, drink, read,or just relax. There a liquor store on the first to get all your packaged goods. Worth a look.
