I would like to thank Isaiah last wekend i went too best buy to get my tablet fixed cause it wasnt turning on wifi they wanted to charge me to send it off i didnt think it was worth it cause its a cheper tablet so i went to source and the young man showed me some tablets however he asked to look at mine when i told him the problem he said it was on airplane mode and then connected it to the wifi at source to show me it worked when i asked him how much to fix it he said they would never charge for somthing like that or helping a customer I will be returning to source for my electronics

Limited stock probably means "Display Models only" I put a laptop on hold for a store an hour away because it was showing as limited stock. The sales person I spoke with on the phone did not say "Yes, we have one here, it's the display, I'll box it up for you" because then I would have said "Nevermind, I'll order online" and would not have driven the hour to be disappointed. At least Best Buy says "Open Box" or "Display Model" and gives a discount. The Source was not going to tell me and was not going to offer a discount. Not pleased.

I've lived in St. John's for years and I find this store much of the same. Great customer service just a little pushy on the plans. That is more of the fact that's how they make pay is commission. I was working here i would be much of the same. My only complaint is that some of the workers can be a bit unknown of technology they sell,and they try to pull it off like they know it all anyways.

After trying to recharge them twice (yes, following the instructions, it's not rocket science), they do not hold a charge for more than 30 min. So 4 days later I go back to the store to return the headphones and buy the Beats ... I am told that they do not take care of it, that I have to report to Skull Candy customer service. In short I am struggling with this model of headphones and in addition I have to type back because of their inadequate suggestion. Wow! What amazing customer service. I’ve searched everywhere online and in stores and the Source was the one place that had what I needed in stock. I walked away with more items than I was expecting to purchase while STILL paying less than I would have with Best Buy or WalMart. I signed up for Bell Fibe through the Source as well and though it won’t be installed until December my bill has gone from over $200 a month with Shaw to $130 with Bell with faster internet and built in channels that I previously paid for with Shaw. I also get to keep my number lol. I’ve pretty much decided to never go anywhere else for electronics ever again ????????‍♀️. Thanks guys! ????

Bought a screen protector for my s21 ultra and for some reason my fingerprint wasn't reading even after retraining the biometrics. The employee replaced the protector and the issue still persisted. He asked me to wait for a couple of days and promised me a refund if it doesn't improve. I brought the phone along with the screen protector the next day but forgot to bring the receipt and it was another employee, she told me, she would've been able to refund if I had the receipt handy. So I went back the next day with the receipt and the manager told me that they never give refunds for screen protectors. And now I wasted $50 for the screen protector and my time because of the false promise of two of your employees.

Went in yesterday and staff were helpful right off the bat which was wonderful! I was on a time crunch and needed to find something quickly, and was able to do just that. However, I did not have a pleasant experience due to something the manager said, which came across as rude and ignorant. I debated walking out and taking my business elsewhere. Very shady business and employees. I was offered a tempting new phone plan with virgin mobile and the guy who was selling it to me asked for my credit card number to complete the contract. I told him I didn't have it on me at the time so he told me my social security number would also work. (This may seem like he was joking but at the time he was dead serious) I said I changed my mind and left. I definitely don't recommend shopping there but if you do, make sure not to give them any personal information.

Only 5 stars? I'd give this store 10 if I could! I dreaded shopping for wireless plans until I met Tim and his uber-helpful staff at this store. They've earned my business by ALWAYS going above and beyond to ensure I obtain MAXIMUM VALUE for my money. I simply do not have time to research all the plans, devices, etc. out there and with a large family and a construction business, I appreciate having The Source as my Wireless/Mobility business partner. The level of personalized service is quite literally second to none. They are relentless in advocating for the best offers with 3rd party providers keeping me informed every step of the way. Thanks to them I've literally saved hundreds of dollars over the years! Fantastic service and I feel confident I'm getting the best deal! They even offered to set-up internet access for my kids living away at university! So easy!

Disappointed with the source. I was hoping to get an item for my family funeral and the gate to the store was closed. I was unable to purchase my item. The lady appeared to be clueless on times of operation for the day. “Maybe they are on their lunch?” Clearly was definitely not will to help me out. Thank goodness for North Mart coming to my rescue. Perhaps staff should keep the gate open until correct time of closure.

Even offered to escort me to my car for safety!!! The Covid safety precautions made me feel even more safe. My sweetie Brenda and I are seniors. Brenda had been wanting a new I-phone for an extended period in order to "face time" with her daughter and her grandkids in British Columbia. We decided to go to the Source in Station Mall in Sault Ste Marie because we knew the Source was hooked up with our phone carrier Virgin Mobile. We'd also heard of manager Tim Hodgkinson and the personal touch he had in helping people. Boy, did we hit the jackpot!! Tim helped us modernize not only Brenda's phone but ALL of our home audio-visual package! When we finished our work with Tim, we were completely satisfied with the results we achieved. Our experience was MILES AHEAD of any business we ever did over the phone! And, believe me, we've had plenty of those over the years. If you've ever been on hold listening to that mindless elevator music for minutes that soon seem like hours, just go into the Source in Station Mall in Sault Ste Marie and deal with Tim and his staff. It'll feel like a cool breeze, a breath of fresh air. The beautiful thing about this store is their approach to helping people, particularly those of us who are not tech-savy. They quickly found out our knowledge level, then took us from there. They found out our needs through questions and then fulfilled them, WITHOUT ANY UNNECESSARY OVERSELLING! Now this alone is worth going in to see them! Have you ever been hounded by a phone sales person who just keeps "looping" you into another closing attempt? Makes you want to hang up, right? But it's more than that too. Without pressure on you to buy anything, they point out areas you might benefit from then let you make up your own mind. Once you've decided what you want, they move heaven and earth to make it happen for you. They are well-trained and have acute knowledge of the varied products in this world of technology. It's like having a relative in the business, you feel so much more secure, The fear of" being- taken- advantage- of" just seems to disappear and you get that down-home feeling. I'm sorry to keep going on like this, but managers and staff like these are RARE if indeed still in existence. Do yourself a favor and visit the Source in Station Mall in Sault Ste Marie, especially if you're a senior but even if you're not, and, for heaven's sake, pamper yourself for a change!! Wow. I wish I read previous views from other customers. I sent my friend to the Source as I always had a positive experience with them . Was I wrong if you have an owner/manager with a narcissist behaviour. Sault Ste. Marie patrons beware. My friend was talked out of purchasing an Apple iPhone and iPad which I believe is a great product and directed to buying another make that is outdated by 2 years. The phone was not setup properly. When she returned to the store to return the product the owner/manager went home for the day without releasing the contract making it impossible to go to another competent provider and get a new phone. The importance of a phone is paramount in rural Ontario. Truly disappointed in the Source and no further business going there for me wherever I live.

I was having trouble setting up a new Fitbit. It was a gift purchased at a different Source. When asked for help, the staff, especially Cricket, were excellent. She invited me to have a seat while she explained the procedure, set up the fitbit so it would sync with my tablet, found the correct timezone etc. I would describe this as outstanding customer service and will definitely do more business with this Source.

The store was good because I needed something that I couldn't find anywhere else and they happened to have what I was looking for. However the guy serving me Sunday afternoon (if that's what I could even call it) was terrible. I asked if the item I had in my hand would work for what I needed it for. I knew what I needed, but I couldn't tell if this product was the right one. He just shrugged, said he had no clue and told me to Google it on my phone. I wanted to leave but I needed the item so I looked it up and before I could even determine if it was the right item he was already asking me to pay for it, while lazily leaning back in a chair behind the counter, so low to the ground his head was all that was visible. He was so unprofessional. I have had great customer service here during the week, but whoever was working Sunday was awful. I'm giving 3 stars today because it was one employee not the entire store. I've given 5 stars before for the other guy who went out of his way to help me in the past.
