My husband bought me a diamond and ruby ring to celebrate our 40th anniversary, as the ruby also happens to be my birthstone. The special date is March 19th. This ring did not even manage to make it to the following anniversary without losing a ruby stone in the middle of it. I noticed this before even making it to our 41st anniversary.,about 2 months before. I did not get in to the store right away regarding this problem, as the receipt had to be located, and I had been ill, resulting in neurosurgery the end of that month. When I was well enough, and had my receipt I returned to the North Bay store where it was purchased to explain. The lady in there was as dismayed as I was to find a stone had fallen out in such a short time. We both felt it was reasonable for her to request a complimentary repair, as surely Griffin jewellery would surely feel this was not up to the quality they advertise their items to be. They claim to strive or even better their customers expectations. Their management obviously does not live up to that expectation as I had to pay $85.00 to have this ring repaired. My husband purchases jewellery for me on many special occasions so I will make sure he does not do so at their store at any time in the future. Griffin, you have just lost a valuable customer for your shoddy, inconsiderate treatment in this regard. Obviously you were not in shock about the poor quality of your product or you would have been apologizing to me and assuring me that this is not your usual good quality product and you certainly should have replaced this stone at your expense! I am letting many know about your hypocritical advertising this regard.
