This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
Some places here are great, others are awful. No inbetween
Lost of stuff Over priced for a second hand shop
wish it was still the old harewood mall, but its a great little shopping center anyways!
I mean the pizza was good lol
Located near VIU. Reliable for quick purchases.
Its okay, they have starbucks and shoppers drugmart and also value village here. Those three are most visited places in my opinion.
Security are usually quite understanding when it comes to loitering.
7-11 AWESOME SLURPEES, VALUE V GOOD SHOPPING.
A nice clean retail shopping area close to the college.
Good shops here
Great place to buy school related gear. Clean, organized.
Great little strip mall. It has everything you need: pharmacy/post office, tax place, laundromat, hair salon, pet store, grocery store, Starbucks, various restaurants, it's fantastic. I'd say there's just as much 'riff raff' as any other mall has.
I love that they have an EV charging station here
Great for shopping for people in walking distance
Don't have much reason to go there. Includes a shoppers drug Mart, 7/11, Starbucks, and a privately owned liquor outlet. A small quality foods supermarket, Bosley s pet supply,
It is a decent shopping center with all of the basic categories of stores represented.
This little complex has almost everything you need. The only issue I have is the parking is a little bit packed and difficult to get in and out of.
Have a great security team always friendly. Mall is always clean and has a bit of everything in it for all your shopping needs. The private security at shoppers def acts like he's a actual cop vest and all
Briefly stopped in, parking was a little silly. Otherwise no complaints.
Growing place ! It used to be called scarewoood ! Lol . Nice to see it's getting some infrastructure ! Went down there for Lee's Chicken ( it sucked ! Should have driven to Campbell River or Duncan instead )
That mall was better 20 yr ago then now
A fine assortment of amenities and retail offerings combined in a refreshing, open air setting.
You can find all here
Clean, spacious mall. Everything you need. Quality Foods is always good quality and prices
A neat little place to go. Has a Quality Foods grocery store, Starbucks, Subway, Dominos, London drugs, and a lot of other good stores. Diverse enough for most of your basic needs. Prices aren't the absolute lowest you can find but if you live nearby its convenient. Parking is sometime crowded on busy days but in general you will be able to find a spot at any time of the day.
Grocery store, pharmacy, canada post, liquor store, hair salon as well as a few restaurants and services are located at this mall, great location for convenience. Would not suggest going at dark(Just generally in the harewood area..) QF there isn't as nice as some of their other locations(Qualicum or Parksville locations) but has amazingly friendly service. There is also a game shop at this mall for tabletop gatherings, the store having some selections for sale as well.
Lots of new and old stores and more on the way. I've been going to this mall for over 30 years very convenient.
Small mall complex however, all ways expending & new businesses opening up very soon
Awesome Salon. They offer hair dressers, waxing, spray tans, nails, Leyte ladies and a trained barber. It can be hard to find though as it is named Shannons Urban Style but the shop is known and advertised on the door just Urban Style but once you get in it's awesome, I especially lilies that each area is optioned off so you get a great feel of privacy. I do my eyelashes with Tara and hair with Hailey and they are awesome at what they do and are always friendly and welcoming!
It wasn't worth going. I found it very expensive.
Busy little mall, lots of people there
I wouldn't go to this mall if it were not for the Two-Headed Giant, which is awesome. This QF location looks like a grocery store from the Soviet Union. They've clearly stopped paying attention to it since it's closing soon. There are tweakers and loiterers everywhere. This is not a comfortable place to be at night. Lee's Chicken is very hit or miss and it really comes down to the staff working that day. Update: The tweaker/vagrant situation has gotten worse. They now camp outside the doors of businesses and the mall seems disinterested in dealing with it.
Love the Shoppers Drug Mart here, always great deals!!!
Subway, Starbucks, 7Eleven all in one place
Domanios pizza fast and good
I usually come here for Value Village. They have some great deals and once in a while you will find something awesome. Once I found Tommy Hilfiger sweater worth about $400 here and I only paid $5 for it.
Nice place, pretty busy but a lot of great stores and places
Good mix of stores and services love Lee's chicken and Bosleys.
The security here is wonderful they really do stop the crimes. Not too many people begging for money and a lovely smoke area completed a shopping experience Starbucks and shoppers are great additions to the plaza. Thank you.
One of my favorite places to go shopping or get good or whichever I need
I love how they spruce up their image. I knew this place as Harewood mall back on the days...
I Love University Village Mall. It's a 'one' stop shop for me it has shoppers, value village, buy low, Starbucks , subway , dominos, money mart , a sushi joint , bingo Hall ,711 , a hair salon & Bosley's. I'm probably forgetting something but oh I remember now... a place that makes really good friend chicken but for some reason I can't remember what it's called. I find that every one that is employed at these places from my experience are super friendly so I guess I'll give it five stars
Best 711 in town
Awesome
Has some basic amenities, and the Starbucks is nice.
Great place ,, variety of business, on bus route.
Lots of stores for all my needs.
Good amenities but parking lot is atrocious. Been backed I to a few times there.
Lee's Famous Chicken YUMMY!!!!!
Good variety of stores
Clean. Good stores. Everything you need. Close to university
Great variety of stores ,providing everything you need all in one mall. Shoppers drug mart is my favorite There are always great deals, with a clean, organized environment and efficient, helpful staff. Well managed store.
Luv this area, so pretty with different stores!
It's an outdoor mall and feels exactly like one. There's a couple good stores, plus Subway and Starbucks, but it's generally just a place to run your errands and then leave.
Enjoy your day with the best stores at your fingertips. .
Love it, it's very convenient, variety to do an get done
There a bunch of new stuff across the street, good for new traffic for the businesses...
Not very big complex area but very awesome. Foods, coffee, shoppers store. Close to VIU.
Great mall, great parking and services!
Love this little strip mall just wish it was bigger
Really convenient spot to get most of your needs
Love Timmy's overall but Wallace St Nanaimo does need to work on there attitudes towards some customers in service and personally.
Lady that owns laundry Matt charged me to hem my new pants than when I went to pick up tried to charge me again showed receipt she took my receipt n kept my new pants complained to management at mall on deaf ears
Awesome shopping mall with everything you need in it. There some of the best priced liquor in Nanaimo here too.
Great area for shopping and food!;)
It's the neighbourhood strip mall, complete with Nanaimos own versions of Jay and Silent Bob hanging out in front. Working class mall but don't be fooled good deals if you go into each store with child like eyes. You can find lots of good bargains.
Way too many Dollar Store items with London Drugs prices.
Alot of drunks and crackheads, value village is way over priced, shoppers always has good deals!!
Great selection of shops all in one little area within walking distance from many nearby places. The newly built addition looks very nice, and having a Tim Hortons so close to my house is dangerous, but very much needed.
Right in Harewood, you get a good amount of transients past 4 or 5 but before then is mostly good, barring the terrible drivers that seem to frequent the parking lot.
Not so great. But Yea convenient for the surrounding communities.
Great place for all of your Village and Mall needs - sort of a Universal problem solving set of materials and odd bits that occasionally coalesce into an appropriate solution - yielding an easily maximized alternative reality that served as the conceptualodel of the Matrix - highly recommended
I love the location and the variety of stores.
I use this place alot
Just some subway and bingo, but people are rude
Want some crack with your pizza? This is the place to get both!
Average shopping center, can be some shady characters out at night. And watch out for the bingo goers!
A nice variety of shops, good location.
Almost all the shops you need in this one spot. Groceries, subway, fried chicken, Chinese food, mexican food, bingo, coffee, value village, drug store, and more. Check it out when in doubt.
Nice mall. I have never been there before but I will be going back
Good restaurant selection. Good food shopping. Great community.
Quality Foods, Value Village. Both with very good deals
I like it because you can find wide of services in one place that it is not available in the downtown
This location has made managed to improve a great deal over the past fifteen years, they have lots to offer in a small area, my only complaint is one of the staff members at the 7-11 who works night shift is rude, unprofessional, racist and disctimatory, she doesn't like anyone who isn't for First Nations and mocks customers behind their backs while on the job, she also kicks people out who bring it to her attention that what she is doing is both wrong and highly unprofessional. Yet she has been working there for a number of years. I won't go there when she is working as I find it not only unacceptable but insulting when I see this behaviour and I'm unable to have any positive affect on the situation. Contacting the manager was an act of futility.
I enjoy most stores there at the University Village Mall. I miss going there alot as I moved from where I was and don't get to frequent there much but looking forward to my next time as I have a great desire to get there as I am looking for certain things that may just be at Value Village, love the 7-Eleven coffee, all the great deals at Shoppers Drug Mart, the staff everywhere at the place i go to are great and treat you well. I know some people who work in different stores and it is nice to see regulars. Different menus as there are different eating establishments and the Bingo Hall has great food you can order and it is soooooo good i would go there just to be able to have some.
A good local place to shop, with a selection of business choices.
Excellent place for shopping and food but bit costly also
Great location, everything is there. One stop shop for most things
It isnt much of a mall. More just a series of stores, a strip mall
Literally everything you need with in walking distance of the VIU dorms. The only thing that would make this place better for me would be a Scotia bank and a coffee shop that isn't Starbucks.
I've gone here forever, since it was called Harewood Mall. The constant changes, keep it interesting. For the most part it is a likeable place to go. 7-11, Value Village, Shoppers Drug Mart and Liquor Store. Theres a couple of restaurants, Chinese, chicken, pizza, subs and coffee shop. I can hardly wait to see what's going in across the street!!
It is a significant challenge trying to find a bathroom that's available (thanks, Lee's Chicken), or a place to sit to eat a meal (thanks, Starbucks), but otherwise, it has what I need.
Nice place, shady people at all hours but if anything this mall improves the area
It's nice place, you have a good range of tiny shopping malls.
Pretty much everything you would need and not have to go into town.
Nice little place that I found all I needed there!
Up to date and modern, very close to downtown or university
It's got a couple things but nothing special here.
There is a variety of different stores to suit the needs of anyone's shopping ventures.
Everything is reasonably priced, hours are great, staff are helpful & friendly.
Met friends and listened to some music, part of the free concerts, had a beer, some good food and got to visit with friends. What's not to like!!
It's a mall, near a university. Not sure where the village part comes in
New Buy Low is great for pricing, quality and customer service
Really good selection of shops in this mall. It's a short distance away from Vancouver Island University as well as many other places as well. There are restaurants such as Starbucks, Lee's Chicken, and Baby Salsa, and stores such as Value Village. Good spot to check out. Walking distance from VIU. However, if you're looking to go to an actual mall with your typical "giant mall" big selection of stores, this isn't your place.
This is a saviour. Perfect location for residents with nearly everything available in a area without the hassle of visiting a mall miles away. Bus routes amazingly favourable.
This Money Mart was super fast, efcecient and friendly!
A small outdoor mall. Has a Value Village for second hand clothes and a Quality foods along with a Shoppers Drug Mart. The staff in all of these establishments that anchor this mall are very friendly and helpful. The Shoppers Drug Marty with Sanja, Ketan, Mellisa and Katie. Are a strong group that are all experts in their area and more than once each one has solved a problem for me so they have a great staff.
A decent little shopping complex for anyone in the area. Equipped with your bare essentials, such as a thrift shop, Subway, and Starbucks
Shoppers, Value Village, groceries, bingo, Lees Chicken, Starbucks, insurance, the list goes on. Whatever you need at this little strip mall
7/11, Starbucks and dominos pizza, amongst others, what more does a uni student need?
Though the coffee is hot and the people are nice, the pastries were limited and this was a disappointment.
Great place lots of stores. A little pricey
Security Gaurd always makes it an un-enjoyed trip to University Village ... Each & Every time.
Hardwood's finest retailer's lol
A weird layout for parking, way too many people smoking in every nook and cranny.
Always good were theres tim hortons
very convenient, well kept, good parking
Good outside mall. Has everything you need and in a convenient location.
I think Lee's is my favourite part about this location
I found it a challenge to find building b5,but I did and may be able to find it again. Lol
Lots of fast food places there. Etc. Go check it out
Went to Lee's Chicken was hot and good
This small strip mall has everything you could need, groceries, games, pharmacy, coffee, food, bingo, and so much more. The major downside is the horrible parking lot, but that's OK if you're walking from the University!
Its got a Value Village, Shoppers Drug Mart, 7/11,Dominos a Quality Foods aswell as a hand full of other great little stores.
Value Village among other stores here and great community feel in Harewood ❤
Apparently I went here a year ago, but dont remember lol. I think I just needed a place to pull over. Sorry :( Look like there is a variety of stores to check out though.
7-11, Subway, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart, Quality foods, Liquor store, thrift shop, dollar store
This strip mall has pretty much everything you need....other than a hardware store.
A typical medium sized strip mall. If they have what you need it's fine, has enough parking. No clothing stores other than Value Village.
it had volcano in my the middle and it killed my goat named Mr.noodles who had 5 arms
My experience was good people were friendly, over all the plaza was clean and I was able too find all that I wanted to purchase!!!
Busy mall with big brand services that serve the University crowd and South Nanaimo.
Great place to get anything and everything one might need.
Calm and peaceful place to shop. Very convenient.
Everything I need is there. My pharmacy, the grocery store, even 711 for my morning coffee. I still refer to it as Harewood Mall like it was when I was growing up
Excellent variety and choice of stores and businesses, the mall janitorial and security staff are kind and friendly, and everyone who works there is glad to see you.
I watched this place change from when I was a teenager to now. The people are friendly and fun!always something witty !
Good service and have a variety of things you need.
Good variety of shops: Value Village, Shoppers Drug Mart, Quality Foods, Seven Eleven and several good places.
Everything from Starbucks to Value Village is here in this neighbourhood shopping centre... banking, pharmacy, grocery and liquor stores, 7-11 and more, all close to Vancouver Island University.
Much better than the old mall. Great refurb.
Great selection of shops...good parking.
A decent place to go and eat here as well
Kind of a sketchy place in my opinion but it's definitely not dirty. Has a nice variety of stores.
One stop shopping! Great laundry-mat!! Grocery with awesome pricing. A Shoppers Drug mart!!! Starbucks and one pricey thrift store. All n all a great spot. Forgot the dollar store across the rd. Way kewl. This would be an awesome neighborhood to live in, everything you need!
Lots of good shops, parking lot can be crazy at times.
Nice place to go shop a little bit off everything off need .
Always great to see and go there
I visited shoppers drug Mart and value village stopped had smoke sitting on a mall bench..mall security stopped and was super nice had a small chit chat very pleasant..good experience ..
Nice mall on the corner of Fifth street and Bruce Ave in Nanaimo BC. Easy to notice either direction of the roads. University people can reach here straight on 5th street to east direction. Mall has many outlets like Shoppers Drug Mart, Canada post, value Village, Pet store, Financial services, Mexican food, Charging station for electric vehicles, Quality foods grocery store, Subway, 7 Eleven and many more with ample parking spots with free Wi-Fi signals.
Value Village and Shoppers Drug Mart. Quality foods. All hundreds of feet from each other.
This location is just surrounded by gross harewood problems.it can barely function due to the human degeneracy.
Good variety of stores from laundromat to shoppers drugs to thrift stores, groceries , subway, liquor store, Starbucks, 7-Eleven gas pumps, moneymart, quiet location near the university, bus stops (3) user-friendly, dollorama store , Tim Horton,
Busy place during midday, much more quiet in the evenings.
It's close to my place I like the laundromat 7-Eleven Value Village xcetera they have it all there.
A nice little mall...lovely for quick convenient shopping trips
Would be better if security would actually keep unruly people out.
easily accessible....good stores....value village is here
A great place to shop!lots of shops.
This mall has gone through a large transformation in the last 10 years or so and is very much a bustle of activity most of the time.
In keeping with a strong Nanaimo tradition of strip Malls, this mall features several franchises and a few gems, like the Two Headed Giant!
Old Hardwood mall with a slight face lift. Parking and the entrance could be improved.
Great little mall where you have a variety of things to do their or have a good variety of places to eat at.
Shopped at the fish market. Ty he lady was great. Sampled candied salmon. Yum. Ended up buying fresh ????. They were ginormous and the lady cleaned them up. Had a mess of delish BC seafood for dinner.
A great little neighborhood plaza. Has so many little shoos
This mall is all right, but I hate the parking lot. Driving through it is weird and seems strange in some places. Parking for Value Village is always a chore if and when I actually go there.
Everything you need in the heart of the hood, HAREWOOD 4life!!!
Lots of places to visit
Great place to pick up pet foods at Bosley, get your clothes done at the laundromat, shop for groceries or even get a drink at Starbucks or beer and spirits at the liquor store.
Good grocery store. Resteraunts , liquor store with friendly staff and management. Decent pharmacy. Bingo hall. Sadly. No bank as yet. Pretty good though for a small strip mall.
It would be nice if there weren't trolls in the parking lot...too bad King Arthur's Court never got demolished like the rumors said...
Well maintained by groundskeepers, a few riff raff which earned a 3/5 stars from me. All stores are accessible by everyone.
A bit quiet for my likening. Maybe because school was not in session
H and R block. Friendly quick service.
Few good stores, without going downtown
Lots of parking
Nice little mall. A few basic conviences. Starbucks and few small restaurants. Grocery shopping and Shoppers drug mart
There is always parking! Love that there is a plaza nearby that offers a pet store and drugstore.
Lots of great stores and restaurants
Yes, went cant remember what the gtocery store at Unviersity Villsge
Has all the basiv necessities , grocery, coffee bar , pharmacy, 7-11, pizza, chicken and even liquor.
It's have a great stores and restaurants and community service also it's a good place for students there is Starbucks to sit down and talk or studying
Lee's chicken staff are so happy and friendly. Makes getting dinner for the family enjoyable!
Liquor store.
Nice little mall. I'd avoid value village as prices are high.
Its an ok place to buy food, and they have a okay thrift store.
Great for guick shopping
Not bad. A few stores there. Grocery store.starbucks. mexican. Salon etc
Great mall. Value Village, Bingo, Pizza, Grocery store. You'll enjoy shopping here.
Well layed out Pleasure to shop there
Great selection but I find items more costly than Yellowknife.
I like this mall a lot everything I need is there. The mall is very central and clean.
You will get all the second hand items from kitchen ware to blankets. One stop for all second hand items.
Great little place to pickup almost everything you'd need day to day without having to go downtown or to the larger malls. There are quite a few stores to choose from in around a square block.
One stop shop for whatever your looking for
It's nice to see this mall evolving with more trendier shops and restaurants ???? They have really cleaned this place up, keep up the good work but please clean up 7-11
Good bunch of shops. Plenty of parking.
A couple years ago, I went to The HARBOR BINGO dozens of times; and each time every customer always had to pay cash. Now, I find it a little strange that a BCLC establishment is doing this. Why you may ask? Well, the reason being is YOU CAN'T TRACE CASH PAYMENTS!! So, CITY HARBOR BINGO can literally put what ever they want in the official records and no one who be the wiser. But what a great way to wash money lmbo. To those whomever may find offence from my post, I say to you - Just Kidding. The government would never do anything illegal like that......????. I like the cash only concept.
Great mall I will miss the Quality Foods
Beautiful place
Went to Baby Salsa. Awesome!!! ????????????????☺
Good shopping lousy parking setup, keep your car/truck locked many thieves in this area
Good to get drive through foods or go in stores fast can lots drug dealers drunks
Love this mall. Great grocery, pet & liquor stores. :)
Friendly staff in all stores, feels safe and welcoming.
All good stops to shop.
Love that it is so close and that it had everything one needs in one convenient local.
Nice and close to home. Lots of variety of stores.
No public washroom and there are some significant and dangerous gaps in the layout for pedestrians to navigate
Dollarma was good found all I wanted
They have all kinds of shops you want.bingo hall / shoppers drug mart / low cost foods / subway/ liquor store / pet store / value village / money mart / pizza shop/ mexican food/ laundromat/ & 7-11 store/ starbucks/ everything you need right there
We went to Baby salsa . The food was fantastic. Our waitress could have been a bit more attentive. We sat on the patio and the other waitress totally ignored us,I guess we weren't going to tip her why go out of your way right.
One stop shopping for sure, everything you need .
Gross ! Especially the value village. Or should I say the No value village. Because the prices in there are ridiculous. Go to Deni's dynamite deals in Harewood on 7th. Deni donates to local nanaimo programs and schools. I found a lace wedding dress there Deni asked for only $20. And then he let me have for $15 of the $17 in my pocket. He said $15 was good, so I could get a coffee ! What is value village doing for nanaimo ?
Very nice
Not alot there since they closed the dollor store & grocery store. Would be nice to see a bank and a true dollor store be put there ... valuevillage is great thou staff arent the friendliest and something are overpriced .
Very busy for small mall, ok stores with wonderful staff.
Lots of dining options. Liquer store on site. Value Village in the back had some good finds for hiking.
Good experience
Pretty new community mall, not in the best neighborhood though. The mall has Shoppers Drug Mart as their major anchor tenant. Has several stores and food locations like baby salsa, subway, Starbucks etc. The 711 on the property is opened 24 hours, but gets pretty weird at night.
Great little mall. It has a little bit of everything. Good place to shop in Harewood!
Shopped at Shoppers...lively clean store and great staff....
property well maintained . all services avaliable there .one stop shop type thing.
Has every thing you would need as a student or a "one stop shop" for pretty well anything you might have missed during your weekly big shop. Now a TIMS there too, beauty!
I still call it harewood mall , I'm old school been going there for many moons, always a good experience, they have a little bit of everything at "university village",
The biggest and the best mall in Nanaimo. It has everything from wallmart to icing.
There is not a huge selection of stores to choose from. It is a newer set of buildings so is fairly well maintained. I find there is usually 1 or 2 people who ask for change or money either with a sign or come right up to me in the parking lot etc. I enjoy the good selection of stores from Quality Foods to Shoppers Drug Mart and Bosleys. You can get everything on your list. There is also a very nice restaurant with delicious food at Baby Salsa or Star Bucks. It also has a laundry mat and Value Village amongst other stores.
Come check out the new Eagle Mountain Church in the mall. The old bingo hall! Next to buy low foods!
