Here you have all the information of people like you who consumed the services of Port Place Shopping Centre (Mall) in Nanaimo (Canada).
At the moment this business receives a score of 3.9 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is very positive, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is very reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
Lots of shops and restaurants, good amount of free parking. Public washrooms inside as well. Only downside is the homeless people around it.
Great burrito all the fillings you want in the size that works for you. I had the largest and the most filling. Will return again fast fresh friendly and filling.
I came for a flu shot at London drugs and they were out but all in all there is many things useful about this mall if you can get past the homeless and the Salvation Army being across the street and not be offended by the mental health issues that surround this mall it’s quite a useful shopping center. London drugs thriftys cibc subway fresh slice dollar store casino and the walk in clinic to name a few.
They've got what you need! Thrifty Foods is mostly where I go, and there's public toilets that come in handy.
Medical clinic is all pro...thrifty foods...bank... fast food...and more...I heard casino open in July...lol
Parked under a sign that said "Port Place customer parking" and got a ticket. The mall management ignored my complaints. I won't shop there again ever
The parking at this location is always a bit of a gong show. It is always busy and the parking lot is not well laid out. There is a max of two hour parking availability. The stores that are located in the Port Place are nice. There is a walk in clinic, a starbucks, and a thriftys grocery and liquor store. I wish this location had better parking, other than that it was perfect.
Friendly staff, throughout the mall, promptly replied to my inquiries with on point accuracy. Clean as it could be this place has been completely turned around!!!
Literally had to walk around homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks around the mall. Security guard was right there and did absolutely nothing.
One stop shop all your needs in one place
It's a cute little mall with easy access to the Liquor Mart. It took me a few minutes to find the bike terminal where I can safely lock up my bike.
It's such a shame what has become of this place. Used to be bustling with smiling people. Now, people are afraid to go downtown...
Idk bruh.it's port place.descent spot.some good stores.london drugs? Or shoppers? Cant remember.good store though.thrifty'sis cool, subway vape stop bunch of descent lil spots.check it out.lock you doors.????
Nice little mall. Very convenient. I wish it were bigger so
I've visited this Mall since it was Harbour Park Mall...decades & decades.
The stores are nice for the most part inside but so many homeless people ???? don't feel comfortable being outside even with security
This is a redeveloped mall that I used to hand out at in the 80s. The redevelopment is well done, with lots of nice shops and trendy chain cafes. What's left of the original mall does look pretty dated though. One one side are relatively nice downtown streets, filled with great shops, public buildings, and hotels, on the other side is one of Nanaimo ghettos, filled with drug addicts and transients. You may or may not always feel safe here. I've lived here most of my life, and I've never once thought downtown Nanaimo was a hip place to be, but small improvements like Port place are encouraging. Hopefully the rest of terminal Ave and Nicol street will get a similar facelift one day. Seriously Nanaimo, south terminal avenue is a sh*thole. Pass an ordinance or something.
I understand that it is difficult, but staff and services workers cannot treat everyone as a junkie shoplifter, even if they are experiencing a lot of homelessness in and around Port Place Mall. Driving away the people who go there to shop will not result in more people going there. It's surprising that this needs to be pointed out.
Such a charming spot filled with mostly small eateries; the thrifties and Dollarama make it such a perfect location being across from the Nanaimo downtown bus hub. Can't forget the medical Arts center located directly across from London drugs either, which makes getting and filling prescriptions a breeze.
This mall has been updated great place to go for something to eat or shopping
Average Shopping Center, older yet well-maintained. Parking is great, and the in and out is good.
Small mall but it has everything you need in one spot. Groceries if and when your cooking. But also some restaurants close by too if your not in the mood for cooking. Liquor store is there. Dollarama for your cheap household items. They even have Bar burrito which I found amazing. Subway is always good for a quick eat. Just need a dispensary but they are not too far up the road. Oh and also the casino is there for you to lose your money.
Always affordable....
A good mall to check out in Nanaimo. I recommend it.
Port Place Mall will always have my heart... the Dolphins are still there and the water is up and running... I feel like family here too as I get along well with everyone there - Security, Janitors, Employees from all stores practically. London Drugs has always been my go to store for home appliances and anything like that. I get all my pictures developed at London Drugs too... they are always giving customers deals... I always always see friends and family here... anytime I am there I will know someone... love this Mall! Dollarama! Thriftys, Liquor Store, CIBC and TD banks are both here as well as my favorite place that has many good food items on the menu... Wendys!!! Come and check it out before the line up ok...
Definitely worth trying out. I've only been once but am excited to go back! The flavours are awesome and it's actually just what Nanaimo needed. It's like Subway or Harvey's but with GOOD ingredients for wraps, salads, and rice bowls!
Friendly staff and to me a great Friday night afterwork stop lol.
Very convenient shopping when heading for the Gabriola ferry terminal. London Drugs, Thrifty's grocery store, and BC Liquor store. Very clean and tidy.
I'm just getting to know the deal
It is a alright place to do some shopping, grab a coffee and head down to the water front for a walk.
Nice Broadwalk along the ocean shore. There is a bike line and a pedestrian lane
A nice mall but there isn't much to do in it, the stores here are really nice but there isn't too much variety, good for picking up multiple groceries from stores without having to go far
Nice place they keep it clean and good service at most stores
Small with a very limited number of options for shopping. High crime area, so make sure you lock your vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.
There is lots of parking and it is great to have big shopping stores.
Fun lunch spots...medical life Labs...groceries...nice place to await the Gabriola ferry...a day at the casino or a stop while touring the waterfront enjoy
Although I don't shop here very often, I've been fortunate to find some gems at London Drugs, here.
It's alright it's not the busiest mall or the mall with ample shops but if they have what you are looking for then go!!!
Grocery store, drug store. Lots of fast food places. Bank and other amenities. A well rounded shopping center.
I like shopping at port Place! It meets all my needs for shopping in one place. You'll find a Friendly atmosphere & People that work, shop, and eat as it offers you many choice. …
Very convenient location. Good selection of shops.
Nice lil shopping center located right in the middle of Downtown!
Fantastic deli bar. Polite, friendly staff. A great selection of food.
Ignore all the sketchy-ness around the place and you'll be fine.
Thrifty's has excellent selections of produce and meat. And a compact layout means I'm not walking super far to get around the store. Plus there's London Drugs and a liquor store, all conveniently tucked together. (There's also a dollar store but I can't always be trusted not to buy too much stuff there, I'm too much of an impulse shopper! ;-) )
Small mall, but it has everything I need... grocery store, dollar store, drug store, Starbucks, dine-in and takeout. I even get a professional haircut there at the Port Place Hair Salon!
Another great little mall where you have a variety of things to do.
Love this place! The ladies are wonderful and great with children of all ages. Prices can't be beat and I love the "before starts" school promo they do in August. If you're tired of paying $20 or more for one child's haircut, then this is your place to go.
Great service, great haircut! Very competent and knowledgeable. I knew what I wanted and the stylist tailored it to my hair type and features. I couldn't be happier!
Port place has good places to shop london drugs, thriftys and some good food outlets too. There's a clinic that has drop ins, not many of those left
Its always clean. Its a mall what else is there to say?
Too many homeless people hang out here
Store experience always fine, workers are friendly and courteous. However, dont appreciate being stalked by security guard, waiting for ride with my children and groceries, he walks by trying to look in our bags. Wasn't even there 5 minutes, snowing/freezing outside I was not going to wait with my children out there!!!
Convenient for basics needs. Banking.,drug store, quick foods and grocery store. The liquor store is a great convince as well. Not a hang out mall , however good for the purpose it serves
Port Place is the bane of Nanaimo's existence. The entire mall smells like a dirty diaper constantly. If you think Nanaimo is bad already, visit Port Place and you'll think it's even worse.
London drugs need to hire more people for the prescription department or organize too long a wait to pick up a prescription especially if seniors or sick to wait 20 minutes is to long
Port place medical arts has the patient at focus! Thank you
Thrifty, BC Liquor store, London Drugs, restaurants, lottery booth, and other miscellaneous shops This place is convenient one stop shopping. Has the essentials for a quick stop after work. Thrifty's has plenty of staples for dinner and you can pick up ready made meals, roasted chickens for $9.99. I'm always pick up cut fruit. The quality is good. There is a good selection of flowers at Thrifty's too. Pick up your prescription and grab your other staples at London Drugs along with the regular stuff LD carries. There are restaurants along the sides, burrito place, noodle box, other restaurants but I can't recall their names. The mall hasn't been busy during the times I have visited. Easy to get in and out. I picked up a really cute stuffed animal chick at the florist. There were other stuffed animals ready for adoption. I recommend a look. They have all been sealed in plastic so covid safe.
Amazing results from this salon I went in on sunday this past weekend. After trying to book into 7 different other salons. They were kind to fit me in right a way. I didnt catch the stylists name but she was extremely helpful we talked …
Decent mall. Pity about the number of homeless around.
A lot of homeless drug addicts around the mall and the police and city don't want to deal with them so they have the run of the place
Thriftys always brings it, their A game. Friendly, helpful, their staff works hard.
They have the most effective security! The liqure store was also amazing! The tequila section is massive!! Like wow ????
A little slow but she was on her own. I noticed the owner was there but did not offer to help. She could have cleared tables or refilled coffees
New addition added modern flavour to an old building. Angled parking makes it easier for the ignorant drivers to stay in the lines. The extra parking behind apparently is owned by mosaic as they have reserved 50% of the lot close to the building and they are NEVER being used. It really makes the consumer feel unvalued and not important.
What can I say. Well, My doctor is there and he is the best. I shop at both Thriftys and London Drugs. Both are great.
This is a lovely mall in downtown Nanaimo. It's car and pedestrian friendly, and offers a wide assortment of stores and services. Highlights: walk-in clinic and urgent care, Thrifty foods, BC Liquor Store, London Drugs, Starbucks, The Pantry, Bar Burrito, Noodle Box and more.
Great place for a quick shopping with grocery store tech store rogers store subway Pizza store a clinic, liquor store and so on.
An absolute awesome adventure for anyone looking for explore through some big rocks and bush without being to far away from trails or anything .
Great place to eat and hang out. Watch out for Randy the security guard though. He takes his job too seriously.
