We have the opinions of real people who purchase the products of Nanaimo North Town Centre (Mall) near Nanaimo (Canada).
To this day this business receives a score of 3.9 stars over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is good, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write evaluations when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Mall is included in the category of Shopping mall.
Good shopping experience. Could have a few better store in the mall.
Big, clean, spacious mall. Lots of great shops. Great for all year long shopping.
A little congested for driving and parking, so keep your eyes open. Otherwise, nice mall, great location ... lots of brand name shopping.
First time I went to north town center and not a bad place to shop
I don’t know if anyone is going to read this or if it matters to the management. This mall has changed its name so many times that you have managed to confuse many of us in Nanaimo. Can you leave the name alone or should we expect you’ll change the name to suite your flavour of the day.
Very well kept up mall, however it is currently very empty with alot of stores.
Well sears shutting down and Canadian tire seems way far outta the way I liked it when zellers was here
Dead mall
Great cheap gym here, movie theater, Canadian tire, and some cool little unique shops. Big walkways here as well and clean.
Great place to hangout with your friends. Especially after closing. The rear parking lot is a super fun place to buy or sell "stuff" or just gather and have a few beers with your bros. No need to stay quiet or worry about cops hassling you. Also a great spot for drifting, drag racing and doing burnouts late into the night. Not a great spot if you are walking through the parking lot or live in the close by apartments and like to get a good night's sleep. Not sure about what's inside but I'm sure it's nice.
Nothing much here at the mall. They have only one restroom i guess... but overall it’s a clean mall.
Excellent shopping experience
Great selection of stores and prices. Easy to find and access
It's a fairly dead mall. Sad to see.... Was awesome back in the 80's.... Pre-Woodgrove. They'll need a diverse mix of businesses, to draw back the clientel.
Good but small mall. There are some great local stores in here.
This mall has stores that do not have another location in Nanaimo so it's worth looking into. The Lowes here has great prices and they offer AirMiles. They also have one of the few movie theaters in Nanaimo as well.
One of the many indoor shopping options. Formally known as Rutherford Mall.
Great spot had dinner at montana's then a movie after that
There are only three stores to visit on a regular basis that are worth doing in. They are Fairway market Canadian tire and Lowe's . The market includes a terrific hot food department with arguably the best Chinese food in Nanaimo.
Parking in areas can be great, or super tight. Lots of walking if your trying to get around.
Dull, drab, and very vacant mall. There are some essential stores that have stood the test of time. Such as London Drugs & Canadian Tire. I derive little to no pleasure coming here. It's so empty with hardly anyone walking around. As others have stated the parking is rough. Getting in and out of the center's parking lot is tough. Very tight corners and curbing that gets in the way. There are no traffic lights at one of the main entrances that would really help with the problem of getting in & out.
Nice mall to get everything you need.
Its like woodgrove, but without the food. And people. On the upside, its super clean!
Galaxy Theatre and Fairway are keeping this mall alive. If you can combine those 2 things into one trip, it's worth a stop, but only if you're grabbing Chinese food at the deli. It's not the best, but there's a lot of it. ;) I guess Lowe's is decent addition, but who knows how long they'll be here. I've gotten some good deals on things. If you're looking for customer service, it sure beats Home Depot.
The location of this mall is a bit of an adventure. The parking lot is poorly laid out, and causing some issues entering and leaving the complex. That is my major complaint. They have a good selection of shops inside, nothing special. The mall layout is done well. The food court is also okay. They don't have a large selection of different food venues.
It is not a go place to shop at it was a good place 20 yr the new owner has made bad thing to the mall.
Nice friendly people and beautiful surroundings, friendly staff
Other than London drugs and Lowe’s, this mall is sad with almost no personality or flare.
A hidden and tucked away shopping center that is ideally suited for people of all ages
Food Country grocery store has plenty of ethnic foods, fresh and packaged
I would highly recommend Dream Dress for Less to everybody who wants to get a brand new designers dress for the fraction of the price. The staff is so professional, knowledgeable and helpful ! They found a beautiful wedding dress for me, 4 bridesmaids dresses and a little princess dress for my daughter. Thank you, girls ! The best shop in the Mall.
Even with the anchor tenants, the mall itself is often a ghost town. But the big tenants are really good.
I went to the post office in London Drugs. They only have pick up, no drop offs.
Most of what you need in one large building. Decent food court. Beats driving to Vic for their shopping.
Fairway. The best for Asian varieties.
The mall is being taken over my large box stores. The smaller stores inside seem to be on a shoestring wait for the mall to go under
The rotary clubs book sale that happens twice a year is awesome ????
This mall has major potential, so it’s unfortunate to see it has such little to offer.
Not much in the mall except groceries and a few other things.
Not a whole lot to see or shop for I didn't think this was a Shopping Mall ????
Wonder what is going to happen to this mall, would be better if the change it to a strip mall
Canadian Tire, Lowe's, London drugs, Sears, Fairway market and movie theaters as well as some other shops... if you can't find something here you are much too fussy
I remember how busy Rutherford used to be when I was a child. It seems to be doing better again now. The rear parking lot is a nightmare but I hear the city actually forced the mall and construction company to build it like that. Fit 4 Less is my gym and Fairway's Chinese food blows the doors of QF's.
Very clean and more and more new shops opened up there
This mall will forever be known as "Rutherford Mall" by locals, since Nanaimo North Town Centre sounds like it belongs in one of Edmonton's Community Leagues, which Nanaimo definitely does not have. I frequented this mall growing up, and miss its' prime time, back when we had a Zellers and the mall was full of shops. They'd get 4 stars if not for the unfitting new name.
Really crowded food court....too many people not keeping suitable distance and multiple people not wearing masks.
Fit4less is a great place to workout if you don't need a class or group
I want to love this place. Its laid out simply, the construction is solid and classy, and it's always very clean. But the selection of stores has taken a hit in recent times. You've got a few chain stores, a couple of small businesses (which is more than Woodgrove mall can say), and local events like the book sale or travelling fair which happen fairly regularly. On the other hand there's no actual food court. There's a coffee shop on one end of the mall, and fairways market on the other. Fairway market has some good food though, so it's certainly workable. And there's an increasing amount of medical places rather than shops. Overall this mall is quiet and nice, and I just wish there was more to do here.
It's quite and besidesy two favorite stores are here so I like to make a day of it especially when it's raining like this.
I just take the dog for a walk and find myself visiting the beer store ????
Very clean and convenient, the leather store and Fairway market are a plus
Three of our favourite stores, Canadian Tire, Lowe's and Dollarama. The little coffee shop inside the mall is pretty good too when you are having a busy day.
You want to Canadian Tire and the dollar store everything was fine the movie theater was playing boring movies so we will watch them on TV later
This mall is so dead and feels like nothing is going on. The only things worth coming here for are Galaxy Cinemas, Canadian Tire, Fit4Less, and maybe Fairway Market. So long as you have enough money to spend on the over priced foods. There's also a Tim Hortons which is open 24/7, so thats one major plus to this drab and boring mall. I don't understand why this mall hasn't gotten any other stores to liven it up.
Best part of this place is the sat night car meet behind lowes by the London drugs. Summer time here is great.
The people here are pretty stingy but good grocery store. Mall is really a strip mall be warned lots of walking
It had exactly what I wanted.
The old Rutherford Mall! Even after the name change people still refer to it as the Rutherford lol. Anchored by Lowes and London drugs, there are a few little coffee shops inside with some specialty store like Centre Court Collectibles. Fairway Market, Dollarama, the movie theater and Fit4less are accessed from the outside. The mall itself is roomier than most and well maintained. Its clean and the washrooms are good. If you're in this area of Nanaimo, pop in and take a look around!
This mall has floundered the most over the years in failing to find its identity. Losing Sears doesn't help. Sure it has a London Drugs and a Fairways Market, but the external stores are the ones that will make it a destination (ie Canadian Tire).
Bathrooms were dirty and there was covid everywhere
Mostly just big box stores now
Stopped at Tim’s for a beverage. Always quick service there.
Nice mall, good selection of stores
I was attending the lab. The mall did have directions to encourage people to physical distance.
Loved shopping in that Mall. Now I just go to Sears. Not much in that mall
I like it here but sadly many shoppes are closing due to covid I think
NNTC is a beautiful mall and is a huge supporter for local businesses. I've worked with the staff there to host 3 craft markets and everyone I've talked to loves this space. We hope to continue working with this amazing team.
Good mix of large department stores with quality products. Lowe's and Canadian tire are massive.
Clean and quiet. Not to many stores in the mall anymore. Was looking for pet store. Its gone.
Definitely worth a look. I generally go there for London Drugs and end up buying groceries at Fairway and lots of things I don't really need at Canadian Tire
Lots of store but need to get more variety of stores
Great grocery store Fairway Market is Great ..good food and great prices..lots of variety and very friendly staff...
Awesome mall. Island people rock.
Definitely needs more stores and maybe a food court...but it's a nice mall
Barely ok. Good anchor tenants with London Drugs and Sears and that's it. No other stores.
The mall inside is starting to look better but still nothing to really attract the people to this mall location.
It may not be as good as Woodgrove or Mayfair but it has a lot of stores that you wont find elsewhere. Spinners is a cool storefront with lots of selection but could uae a bit of a freshen up.
Good stores here. I like the fact that you can take dogs into Lowes and Canadian Tire. It's also handy to have the eating place at Fairways.
It's an old person mall. There's very few stores that will appeal to a younger crowd.
I love the fact that it is not busy and has a huge Urban Planet and Ardenes. Also Sears and London Drugs but at the same time I hate that its so dead. We need more stores in this mall there is adequate space its such a shame to see such a waste of space.
Excellent place and good selection of stores and new ones to come
Still need to further check out this place! They have a lovely coffee shop with outer table & chairs to sit in the mall. The mall was beautifully decorated & very clean & bright.
Still hoping this mall can get a restart! The recent renovation is beautiful,to many empty spaces....
Store selection is very poor but over all a nice mall. Its a shame they dont get more traffic
Used to be a decent mall, the best stores are fairway, London drugs, urban planet, and ardenes. It's usually not busy at all. Alot of empty stores.
It's probably the worst mall in Nanaimo
A mall with great unique draws. Always a fun and interesting visit.
Not much in the mall these days, but lots of construction too so maybe things are changing.
The mall itself is really well kept. Great design, good services and nice shops. However, this mall may be suffering from the location. New shops come and go and there are a few places closed. Always a little alarming.
A great mall that is on the verge of growing. With space available for even more stores it has a small selection but a variety to please the entire family shopping needs without the bustle of a high traffic area. Some real gem s in the mall!
Love this mall, lots of great stores and visiting the food court is great as there is something for everyone!
Such a nice vibe from this mall! Definitely recommend. And the people at the liquor store were overwhelmingly kind and helpful.
Very quiet mall for the most part. Not a bad shopping experience.
It's the centre of the hustle and busseling Nanaimo - chipper and cheerful - just like the amazing weather
Great place to spend time. There are very nice anchor shops such as Ardene, Fairway Market with great Chinese food court, beautiful bridal store Dream Dress for Less, Lowes, London drugs and more. Well kept Mall.
It's a small mall, don't get too excited.
Quiet mall most people are at wood Grove mall
Great grocery store. Canadian tire. Inside of mall somewhat sad.
This place is great because it has a fair that comes every year, there is a hair salon here, there is also a place to go shopping and there is a Canadian Tire here too!
It's a mall, not much in the way of youthful shopping here, lots of older folks tend to browse.
Bright location. Offers a few different shops. Could use more stores.
It seems like it is dying. No food court. I go there when I need to go to one of the bigger stores. I only enter the actual mall to visit a friend.
Adequate variety of stores but Sears is greatly missed
Something really needs to replace Sears. The mall already has such a dead atmosphere and that huge empty space makes it worse.
Big mall no stores. Just its anchor stores (London Drugs, Canadian Tire and Lowes) and a few other useful shops. Have to say they have brought in a gym and a few other useful stores. A dollar store for one example.
No signage for bathrooms, and not much here but seems nice
Always dead but the stores that are there are ok
I took my 2 little dogs in to Pet Photos with Santa. (They were very interested, because we often walk around there but pets are not usually allowed into the mall.) It was a weekday afternoon while school was in session, so not crowded or stressful. Santa dealt with the pets and small children very well, and the photographic service had a good setup.... I walked away a few minutes later with a large cheery red envelope holding a printed sheet of 8 (all the same) and a flash drive with 3 photos. My favorite other client was the feisty 88-year-old lady having her photo taken so's to include it in Christmas cards for her out-of-town family.
Central location, variety of essential services and local goods, great restaurants, and the *most* comfortable movie theatre ♡ Also seems to run the most activities for the benefit of the community, such as the Rotary Book Sale, voting, carnival and Vancouver Island Market. Sweet little playground, and much less chaotic and crowded compared to other shopping centres in town. Always able to find a parking space!
I was there to receive my booster shot which was well organized and the line moved quickly.
Big mall
Nice mall. Few store options. Good restaurant and grocery options.
Got some Shin Ramen, ginger root, bean sprouts, raddish, and tofu
It sucked
Loved the fair! Soo much fun yesterday I went there with my partner in crime we had fun fun fun ❤️
The mall is dead and awful besides the amazing collectibles store and fairway market both those places are 5 stars the guy at collectibles place is a gem one of the best buisness owners I can think of go check him out and ignore rest of malls sadness
Retail is becoming a thing of the past and this place is a prime example. However there is a great antique shop.
Helping to build the new Fit 4 Life here. Mall staff are also excellent to work with.
Cineplex cinema here has the best seats in town. Full electric recliners. Awesome
Good mall! Not quite as good as the Woodgrove Centre a little bit north of here, but still alright. I love that the Galaxy movie theatre is in it, that really adds to the whole location. If you have to choose between this mall and Woodgrove though, go with Woodgrove. It has many more stores and restaurants.
We loved to visit the mall. But had a short time so couldn't explore more.
This mall is growing with a number of new shops. Be sure to grab a coffee and eats at Tim Hortons.
Couple good stores but could use so much more.
Great mall, with a Cinaplex movie theater, Fit 4 Less, and many different stores.
I miss target. Lacking decent shopping stores but has London drugs and a good community focus.
Lots of empty space. I would love to see some good use made of the old Sears store.
Ghost town mall. Time to turn a new leaf and introduce local sellers in a market environment. Make this mall vital by offering local and regional products.
Half empty but the stores that are there are great
The playground looks really fun but it's not. The london drugs is good here, and if you want cheap Chinese food the fairway does half off after 7!
Nice Mall. Lots of good shopping here.
Small mall with ever changing big box stores. There was a Sears store that has since closed, currently hosts London Drugs, Lowes, Canadian Tire, Cineplex Theater, Subway, (over a) Dollar Giant. There is a really good leathersmiths kiosk by London Drugs, inside the mall, too
Great place to live close to. You can find everything you need in this shopping centre
The mall is pretty quiet. Theater is mediocre. Nice to have Canadian Tire and timmies.
There is nothing exciting about this mall. It's very large but too many shops are closed or closing.
A lot of empty space to let my toddler run, otherwise it's a weird assortment of shops for a mall....antique stores? Weird.
Just visiting my doctor. Lots of parking, clean mall, but empty. Hope Lowe's opens quickly to wake the mall up.
said it was a town centre, doesnt sell towns. maybe just out of stock.
This is the best place in Nanaimo to do all your big time shopping biggest mall in the city lots of variety here .
Lots of shops, wheelchair accessible not as crowded or busy as other malls
Love this little mall. A bit of everything and just what you need.
Visited London drugs. Good parking. A selection of major retailers here.
Really quiet mall. Sears will be moving out soon. Great for mall walking.
A dying mall . More stores empty than occupied. A few good ones.
Stop, chk out EDO
It’s a mall with not much in it.
I enjoy having the lab and GP in the same place...long wait times mean nothing as I pick up some groceries and price check my renovation costs in Canadian Tire. A quick stop to the $store...well done great planning
mall is mostly empty. a or if not empty stores are closing down. and VERY strange hours what mall closes at 6 on a weekend ?? and why the name change. its still on Rutherford rd. and is not the northern most mall in Nanaimo.
It’s a mall. Clean. Bright. Has what you need.
It was hard to use the photo printers at the London Drugs. I was there forever.
Good stores in the mall. Usually not very busy in mall. Smaller line ups to visit santa. Clean and nice. Galaxy Movie Theater attached. Unfortunately no longer have Sears. Only complaint is that the dollar store and movie theater cant be accessed through mall you have to go to there separate entrance.
Lots of stores, lots of food options and a nice clean environment
The mall itself is fairly quiet and easy to get around, the anchor stores make it worthwhile going there if you need something from them.
Nice mall! Pleasantly surprised with the store selection. Nice and clean and not crowded!
Ashlee was an exceptional server, the delicious food was plentiful! Highly recommend the fish and chips; get 2 pieces and ask for extra tartar sauce. Left very satisfied with no room for dessert!
Nice clean mall. New Lowes store. Grocery store, beer and wine, department store, and Canadian tire
Nice mid sized shopping mall with a decent array of places to shop
Lots of parking. Not crowded. Centrally located. As malls go it's fine.
Went to the Outlet store. What a great place!! Large variety of articles.
Everything you need, all in one location. This property is Handicap Accessible with convenient parking on all sides and a mostly level interior floor. There are ramps available in the areas that do have steps. Public Restroom facilities are available. Whether you're shopping for Food, Clothing, Home Improvement Supplies, Furniture or Pet Supplies, it's here. If you need a Doctor, Chiropractor, New Hairstyle, a New place to Work out 24/7 or want to see a Movie those options and more are available. Sears anchors the South end of the mall, Lowe's the North end. With Fairway Market and a Liquor store near the middle of the complex. Canadian Tire is located outside of the mall, though is connected by the shared parking lot. The mall doesn't have a food court, but has many outlets circling vast parking lot. The outlets offer good variety from, Tim Hortons and McDonald's, Subway, Sushi and Montana's, Fairway Market also features a variety of eat-in options (including a salad bar) or readymade food to take out. This mall also hosts the Rotary Clubs book sale ( twice a year), is home to the annual Chinese New Year celebration a good variety of other community events. (Including Carnivals in the parking area) More detailed information about the outlets and offerings are available on the website and Google Maps.
There's some pretty large box stores at this mall. I only think I've been inside it though 6 times ever. No real reason to since you can access the box stores from outside.
Always enjoy a walk in the mall checking places out
Visiting from Alberta. What a pretty Mall. Lots of comfy seating. Recharge stations on couches. Lovely mall decorations and lighting. Freindly staff and clean tidy stores. Great parking.
Love the London Drugs there, otherwise mall is dead, little to do, and a little creepy.
A full service mall with several stores. Check the internet for current offerings. It's a pleasant place to shop and had ample parking.
Its a nice shoppin plaza . sure would be nice to have more places to grab a bite in there
Nice little mall
Nice Mall
I have wondered for years why this mall is so dead all the time as it really is a lovely mall. The stores aren't that great since Target closed down but hopefully things will pick up with the new stores going in.
A lot of empty spaces inside. Most stores you can get to without going inside. Needs more businesses.
Really good selection of stores in this mall.
I like Northtown Centre mall because it has such a nice variety of vendors! Lots of options to shop!
our primary shopping stop. we just moved to Nanaimo in April so I don't know much about the mall...it used to be called Rutherford .... I guess. but apparently it is about to undergo some very big changes. I love it in its current sleepy state....it's like the ultimate introvert...suddenly it's awake and very lively as in the etsy fair...and then it must retreat to a more reserved status until it's next big event.. the book fair in October. Stand by. This is a great space and I wish it didn't ever have to change...alas times change... though I am new to the city so I'll just roll with it. Anyway you put it I truly enjoy Nanaimo North Town Centre.
I will go there for shopping every summer when I visit my family in Nanaimo. There are a decent collection of different clothing stores.
YOU REALLY HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED WITHIN THE MALL FOR SHOPERS BUT I FEEL YOU COULD ADD A LITTLE MORE OTHER THANK THAT I GO THERE EVERY MONTH ONCE OR TWICE
Multiple, easy access big box stores (Lowe's, London Drugs, Fairway Market, Subway, movie theatre, etc) Not a ton of stores on the inside but it is a nice quiet, smaller mall.
Home of Fairway grocery store, one of the best in the city (if you're trying to buy anything ethnic at all).
Nice mall with Lowe's, London drugs, Sears was here but closed permenantly. There is a Fairway grocery store with cozy fresh & hot food corner with varieties. Medical office with family physician & Chiropractor. Canadian tire, Art studio and center, Nanaimo Language learning center. Cloth stores, ICBC agent, Sunlife insurance, 1 hour photo, book store, coffee shop and many other store to shop. It has washrooms, mall security, guest service counter. Good place to take walk during cold and rainy days. Plenty of parking available. Easy access through Island highway and Uplands drive.
While it sports a Canadian Tire, a Lowe's, London Drugs and a Sears, the mall is half empty and has little else to offer.
Malls are one of my least favorite places, and this one is pretty dead. There's a grocery store attached and a couple of name brand outlets that sell the stock that the they're big stores didn't sell, so you can find some good deals. This one also has a so-so liquor store attached as well as a big department store type drug store. Most of the places inside are closed however. On a positive note, attached to this mall is the best movie theater in town with comfortable reclining seats.
Mall is pretty bare and devoid of stores / customers but at least the mall's anchors (London Drugs, Lowe's, Canadian Tire, Fairways grocer) are worth the trip here
Thank you for making a mobility scooter charging station on the right side entering the mall right by London drugs. I was having a hard time activating the entrance doors because the buttons are not easy to reach for someone on a scooter. I can enter through Lowe's or someone helps me at the mall doors. Bottom line, when there is a will, there is a way and I come to your mall at least once a week. In the good weather, I come every second day ???? Thank You
Nice mall. A great selection of shops.
This mall truly feels like a close-out sale at a pandemic inside the Pripyat exclusion zone. London Drugs and ample off hour liquor sales may in fact be this mall’s life jacket. North Town Centre… like a cork in an ocean that is totally void of fish.
A dead mall. Other than the movie theatre, Canadian Tire, Lowe's, London Drugs, there really is nothing in this mall. Needs more.
One of the most poorly designed parking lots in town, okay shop selection.
This is a very Empty “Mall”
Amaging place to take a look and best place to take a rest in hot summer day
Might be a dying mall... I hope not. They need to recruit some new tenants and fast. Lower the rent!
So very little to this mall.
Great mall
This place is a dead mall. No point to it. Just bulldoze the building.
Pretty quiet place, very relaxing, no hassles, it has everything I need.
It's got the movie theater and a bunch of great stores.
This mall is dying a slow painful death. This mall is a prime example of greedy landlords that would rather see vacant store fronts than lower the rent to entice a thriving mall. If it wasn't for London Drugs or Lowes this mall would be history.
This is Previously named and locals often use the name Rutherford mallwhich really kind of made sense as it is located on Rutherford Rd. In Nanaimo it has alot of parking..the best planned parking of all the plazas and malls in Nanaimo.
Clean and not very busy, not a very good selection of stores
Cant stand lowes. Just like Target big store nothing in it lots of fancy prices
Awesome ... but really hot out
This is a mall that should be thriving. A movie complex, a supermarket with a huge selection of Chinese and other hot foods and a salad bar (A little pricey, but worth it) and a cinema complex with recliner seating. A pity Sears closed down, but there's still a 24-hour gym and Dollarama. Don't forget London Drugs. How the rest of the tenants survive must be a miracle. There are satellite retailers like Canadian Tire, Lowe's, Marks and Montana's. This mall needs a serious injection of life.
I like it. Love fairway and London drugs but need more. giant panda torrent good start
It was ok, had some time and spent the afternoon here. It's too bad that there weren't more stores, it was almost like a boutique mall. It was different, like about to close down. Not really any stores that draw people there. What a shame. Hopefully it gets better.
Small shopping mall with small variety of shops. Movie theatre, a grocery store with large Chinese takeout counter, 2 department stores as well.
Only went into 1 store.
If you like then I most definitely the place to go little bit of everything all up one stop
Good selection of stores, bit of everything. Pet store is a bonus; go pet a dog after watching a movie!
We stopped in for groceries, but this has a lot of stores, restaurant etc.
Shopped Lowe's. Awesome store. Staff was great. Zero complaints ????
A lot of great stores... although they need a replacement for sears
The center might be ok. It's how Nanaimo deals with the homeless. You can see bylaw officers chasing them out of all sorts of places. No one wants to be in that situation. Nanaimo needs to fix the problem without taking it out on the homeless.
Great mall. Never to busy. Good parking. Could use a food court.
Kevin is excellent and fun...cheryl
It's clean, it's wide open and airy inside. It's also a One-Stop shop as there's a grocery store, drugstore, Bank, furniture store, electronics store, sporting goods etc...
I love that the Caledonia clinic is finally under one roof again as it was decades ago on Campbell Street.. plus, the mall parking is better than either Campbell or Brickyard ever was. It's sad how a once vibrant mall has been reduced to merely a medical clinic...
We were looking for a ceiling fan very poor stock and as we always find no help to be found.
Very good variety and service at Canadian Tire and London Drugs
the mystery of this mall eludes me. Excellent location, decent renovations and McDonald's, Dollarama, Subway and Galaxy Cinema exist there... Yet, every other store flops and the mall is dead
Good place to walk around when it’s rainy.
It’s getting better since Sears shut down.
Mall has gone down hill. No food court.
Stores are good but it is a mostly empty mall.
Not too much I enjoy here. The grocery store has great Chinese food. Enjoy London drugs. As well as Lowe's hardware.
Usually pretty quiet, which is nice right now. The addition of life labs across from London Drugs is nice, especially if you go to the Caledonian Clinic. The parking lot can get congested by the tim hortons and Umai sushi but there are alternative entrances, so it can be avoided.
All differrnt like woodgrove or costco or beban shopping or country club or Nanaimo north yown.c
Sears, London drugs, grocery store and galaxy movie theatre. Some of my favorite stops.
A super mall well laid out and very clean.
Needs some stores like years ago. Not much to go there for.
The Mall itself, including many of the businesses that share it's parking lot, have been recently, tastefully updated & upgraded. Included is the addition of a adorable, brand new outdoor playground next to the movie theater. Two major crowd pleasing, big box stores are located here, Canadian Tire & Lowe's. Also home to the newly renovated Montana's.
Wow so deserted now again. Some nice box outlet stores, good theatre, waste of time going inside now.
Like this mall and it's stores people here are great
Great place to shop ????
Such an odd place, the mall was almost empty and that was on Christmas eve.
Clean building but stores are lacking in diversity.
Nanaimo? I like the name Nanaimo. I like the mall. I think everyone like to shop in a mall, it is already a given mark of #'s of stars. Happy Shopping everyone! Prophet Ramona
Love the stores and not busy like the other malls.
Great mall, everything is there. Food, Gym, Groceries, Canadian Tire, Lowes, Timmies and more.
Lots of vacant stores and selection not good.
This is a mall that isn't. A mish mash of stores with no apparent theme. Has been this way for years.
Plow your parking lot better!! Terrible. Should be embarrassed!
Clean, lots of great stores
2nd best mall in town Has everything from London drugs, Canadian tire, Galaxy theatre and fairway grocery and lots of other places of interest. Good access to parking
I rarely shop inside. Reminds me of Country Club. Decent enough mall though.
This mall is really struggling to attract retailers. Now that Sears Canada has vacated the south side of the mall, it’s even emptier. The anchor stores now seem to be the Fairway Food Market and London Drugs. Much of the prime retail space is empty or used by charities. How this mall can remain economically viable is a mystery.
weird mall. seems like there's more in the parking lot than inside the actual mall. I really only go here for Canadian Tire Lowes and Montanas
This mall is getting better great new playground for younger kids
Very quiet mall. Has an outlet Ardenes with great marked down prices. Outlett wedding store
Good mall anchored by Sears, Lowes and detached Canadian tire.
Best Tim Hortons in Nanaimo...they always have raspberry timbits!!!
My wife and I love the theater. Great seats. And we drive up from Duncan to shop in the dollarama. . . ;-}
What happened ? Last 10 years barely any stores left. Sears now gone too. Walk the mall alot of large spaces are empty. This mall seems dead.
London Drugs gave me the best service. Thanks
Yes Master of thei
Too many homeless parked in lot
Wide variety of stores and products for most shoppers
Not felt welcome, I am first Nations, I felt my every move was watched
Have some good stores but isn't the nicest looking place. Lots of parking available all around and great promotions
Nice and big mall, good selection of stores. New additions of EV charging stations are welcome.
We where at Canadian tire at Christmas time. Had to wait for the friendly and helpful service we received.
A cannon could fly straight down this mall at any given moment and not hit a soul, the staff all look so unhappy. Not a great place to spend an afternoon.
Kind of a dead mall, but it has Canadian Tire and Lowe's. That's the o my reason to go there.
Good outside anchor stores. Nothing in the mall and it’s loud all the time (constant construction during mall hours)
Awesome place to walk when its raining out and then when finished have coffee.
Fairway, a go to for some Asian products.
There are something I like there and some things I don't. Why can't they attract and keep businesses
A quite place for all the loners out there...with Ardene offering massive sales offers and the Fairway market for your shopping needs. Also, there would be frequent sales on books for all the book lovers put there
This Mall Is Has Tons Of Stores! This Mall Has A Lot Of Variety Like Lowe's, Fairway, Ardene, London Drugs And Etc.
Island health, great attention and excellent service.
Pretty empty now compared to the past. I guess this is the way of retail if everyone shops online the stores can't survive.
Music was great on Sunday made you want to walk and shop. Today Monday darn the music wasn't as good
OLD REVIEW : It was freezing cold in the South part of the Mall. My granddaughter came to the wedding store Dream Dress for Less to try on prom dresses. The store is great. Huge variety of dresses for very reasonable prices. But unfortunately, she couldn't undress and try anything on. The same cold was in Ardene. Should we wait till summer to go in to this Mall ? NEW 5 STARS RATING: We have recently visited Dream Dress for Less again. Their heating improved . Thanks a lot to the Mall administration for taking care of the problem.
This is a quiet and spacious mall in North Nanaimo (which may not be such a bad thing in the time of Covid). What makes this mall stand out are the superb anchor tenants: Canadian Tire, London Drugs, Lowes Fairway Market, Dollarama, Galaxy Cinemas and Mark's Work Wearhouse. There's also a stand alone McDonald's, Montana's, Tim Hortons, and Sushi place. Hopefully they can eventually find a tenant to replace the empty Sears store!
So much fun to go to the mall! Its a mall! Got all the mall stuff!
I love all the stores here. The owners and workers here are all so friendly and helpful. They get to know you as a person and not a customer.
A dead mole now that Sears is gone all that's there is London drugs and a pet store and a few other small vendors feel sorry for them oh and the movie theater but that's outside so you don't really need to go in the mall
Love the Chinese food from fairway Market and a few of the other shops. Great location.
Last resort mall. Mostly empty. Never open decent hours.
Went to Timmy's for lunch. Good chai tea and sausage wrap!
Not the most busy mall. But I prefer it. Less traffic. I was a regular at Sugar Beans, but they closed. The studio is nice, I love the Chinese food at the grocery store. It good, I would know. I lived in China.
Fast and tasty
I took my daughter there on Tuesday, September 13 to get her some school clothes. There was a lot to choose from but none in her size, my complaint is actually the staff that were working. There were three girls that I could see, we passed by all three during our visit and not one of them greeted us, asked if we need assistance or even made eye contact. Apparently customer service is not a big thing in that store but not to fret, your neighbour Urban Planet was even worse.
We like to shop around in the Town Centre before or after the movie. The shopping centre is clean, tidy and modern. We like to come to the Galaxy Cinema next to the Centre here. We enjoy watching a movie on their leather recliner seats. The seats are very comfortable and roomy. Make the shows more entertaining. Fairway Market is attached to the Town Centre in the back. This supermarket carries a variety of ethnic foods. I always come here when I have craving for Asian pastries, vegetables, dumplings and sauces.
Wasn't in the mall persè but shopped at lowes for an in window AC unit. They had exactly what I wanted. Didn't have to go on line to order it and wait for delivery. Happy to shop there. Will definitely go back.
Woodgrove is far better. Nanaimo North Town center is good if you live close and can't travel too far, however Woodgrove mall has far better variety and hours.
Nice mall with good stores. Fairway market has a great little cafeteria with wonderful choices.
Love London Drugs and the fact that you can go to the LifeLabs but the rest of the mall is kinda disappointing
Don't bother going into the mall most stores are empty
Very nice mall. Love Fairway very much for their Asian influences.
Not a whole lot to do in the mall, but it's attached to London drugs and the Galaxy cinema which is usually the main draws to this area.
I have not been going into malls since COVID but had an appointment at the medical clinic and went in wrong door so walked through the mall. I noticed an amazing yarn store and went back while the dr I was to see was very behind. The yarn store owner was lovely and the yarn and store were amazing! I was disappointed to see 2 customers hanging out in comfy chairs without masks. The guy said "don't worry we got our vaccines.". I saw the administration office so went in to try to get someone to deal with those customers. The 2 administration staff also did not have masks on. Then I contacted their security guard. He told me the administration staff have not been wearing masks. I noticed the lottery kiosk staff wasn't wearing one either and apparently she never does. It was all very upsetting and sad as I had felt comfortable given how few were in the mall. I only gave it 2 stars because the yarn store deserved 5, but the overall experience was bad or I would have chose 0 stars if possible.
Canadian tire and medical center all in one place. What could be better?
