This Restaurant is clearly a town favorite, as while we dined and waited for our meals many locals wandered in for their pickup meals. The food was hot and tasty. A bit heavy saturation in oil, but everything we ordered was deep fried, as most items on the menu are prepared that way. Would eat here again

Dixie Lee is a place that brings me back to my childhood. By far the best fried chicken in the Maritimes! The one in Liverpool is the only one in N-S and if driving to the city we make sure to stop in. I'm originally from up North of N-B and Dixie Lee was THE place that everyone gathered.

Sorry to say that there is an issue in your kitchen. On first visit the fried chicken was heavily salty, quite difficult to finish. On second trip had the two piece Fish Chips to go. Fish triangle wedges were heavily greasy, salty and looked like out of box multiple times fried portions. Didn't expect that in Liverpool. Expected some nice fresh plump battered fish. Unfortunately I will have to look elsewhere next time. Will say that the staff are friendly and nice open eating area, plus great clean washroom. The place was not busy either of the times I went in at around 2 PM so I am not sure what the issue is with the basic food offered. Hoping they will review the situation as I know it will enhance costumer loyalty.

Wasn't quite a fan of the food. It was like food you could buy yourself at the grocery store and then deep fried. The service however was excellent! The lady who waited on us was very friendly and helpful. The store was super clean and well laid out!

Came here and ordered a 3 peoce chicken, because I didn't state i did not a wing of course thats what I get... I then say I would like to trade my wing for a leg and that a wind should not be allowed to be classified as a peice of chicken in a 3 peice meal. They told me sorry ill have to love with it. Not to mention the poutine barely had any gravy. This place went way down hill

I've never actually eaten here , although I plan on taking the 2 hour journey asap . My 5 star rating is based solely on the responses by the owner to people when they complain about silly things . I dont know who you are Sir or Mam, but if your delightfully sarcastic comments are any indication of the quality of your food , I can not wait to try what I can only assume is the holy grail of chicken!

This should be the standard by which all other franchises should be measured. Customer service is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The restaurant is always spotless. The meals are always piping hot and fresh. The food is great value for money, especially the daily deals. When this household gets a craving for fried chicken, I forego the two local options and drive to Dixie Lee in Liverpool -- from Yarmouth!

Very solid place for chicken. Big portions, and the fries were crisp, hot, and fluffy inside. Better than most KFCs that I've been to. Haven't had the fish yet so can't comment on that, but no reason to believe it wouldn't be as good as the chicken.

Staff are fairly normal, food was great though! Despite being a little on the greasy side, the food is exactly what you'd expect. Personally tried the Seafood Diner and was quite happy and unable to finish it. Portion sizes are quite good too!

We came to this restaurant because there is only a handful of "restaurants" in Liverpool. We thought, hey you cant mess up fried chicken and fish right? Well we tried the chicken, chicken burgers, fish, poutine, and wedges. The chicken was basically extra greasy fast food like KFC but I would say KFC is better, even though I haven't visited KFC in years. The chicken burgers tasted bland and tasted like low quality frozen chicken fingers from the grocery store, we expected a crunchy burger given the name "Thunder crunch", but even the toppings were unacceptable. The tomato was sliced thicker than the chicken patty, also the lettuce was a the white crunchy stem part and the orange sauce they used did not compliment the dish. The fish was battered nicely but the meat itself was bland and over-cooked, also a slice of lemon would have helped boost the flavor. The side fries were bland, they needed seasoning, salt, and some color. The poutine surprisingly had nice cheese curds, not authentic, but good job. The gravy on the other hand was neither beef or chicken. The wedges were the best part of the menu we tried, they were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tasted very good with the provided dip, which was the same "gravy" that was on the poutine. Also the coleslaw was very very good, creamy and acidic at the same time. As a side note we would have appreciated some home-baked rolls instead of cheap store bought rolls, no one ate them because everybody knows what they taste like. One group immediately felt nauseous after the meal and others felt similarly. In conclusion I would say this is a local spot where the average patron is used to low quality food and wont complain because this is the only chicken in town and most people who visit this establishment do not know what good food is. There is something to be said about a good authentic fried chicken restaurant but this spot does not stand out. Don't waste your money here unless you really want overpriced fast food. You are better off buying the fried chicken at the grocery store. We have no recommendations for good food in Liverpool, your best bet is to make a trip to Bridgewater or cook your own food.

They were very friendly, the food was delicious, reasonably priced, and very quick. We really liked the fried chicken and the cole slaw! Next time we go to Thomas Raddall Park we will stop by!
