Great old theater with a ton of character. Recently renovated to have a large foyer and gathering area. Seating is comfortable with good leg room. Have been to the Astor for a couple of the Liverpool International Theatre Festivals. My favorite quote came from Matt Anderson when he was playing to a packed house "Let's knock the plaster off the Astor!"

It's a nice theater. Comfy seats and I enjoyed the movie I saw. It was a free one because of some churches sponsoring it. The only thing I didn't like was the little parking, it took some time to find an actual place to park as their lot was full.

Our first time at the Liverpool International Theatre Festival was even more amazing than I could have hoped! We saw six of the dozen-or-so shows playing throughout the week and each was a unique, well-crafted, inspiring and entertaining performance. Can't wait to come back next year!

This stunning historical theatre hosts live musical and main stage acts from all corners of the world. We are privileged to be able to see current cinema on the big screen while taking in the nostalgic yesteryear ambiance of this grand Astor Theatre. There is an in house art gallery that hosts many shows displaying the enormous local talent in Atlantic Canada. On entering this Astor you will be warmly welcomed by friendly staff who might even share a story or two about this beautiful theatre in the quaint town of Liverpool on the banks of the Scenic Mersey river and the wonderful wild Atlantic Shore Be prepared to stop a while and take in all this exceptionalism

This is a wonderful theatre offering a wealth of great events, experiences and movies. It takes a lot of volunteer hours, planning and hard work to keep any theatre going so a big shout out to staff and volunteers here. The theatre is great, the staff lovely the volunteers great and if you can't find something you like that's on then seriously there would be NO pleasing you :-) We were last there last week for Yesterday . For an elderly theatrical venue, it has kept it's charm, and the sound is great. Sound and lighting systems are first rate..Plays and theatrical productions come off very good, and enjoyable
