9 bucks for two light roast (blond) coffee and my mom and i couldn't drink them, poured them out right in front of the staff after we asked if she gave us blond roast....she assured us..so im assuming i just dont like Starbucks coffee.

Always has fresh snacks, lots of seating clean bathrooms. Of course Starbucks coffee is made according to some corporate recipe so it’s consistently okay but nothing special. Music is okay but kind of reminds me of mall music: it’s too “safe” but I didn’t have a problem with it being too loud. Not enough cushi seating like you find at some coffee shops. It’s great that there’s an outdoor patio. I’d love if they’re put some huge potted teees out there so you could forget you’re sitting in the middle of a parking lot

(There r no words). I have put 1 star here because you have to put one there. Starbucks to me first and foremost is how the staff have always treated customers, like every customer is royalty. It is who they are to me, drinks come second to how Starbucks is so friendly and helpful, like customers are family here when they enter. Here, I felt afraid and ignored and pushed aside when trying to talk to anyone really. I pray I never experience this again. So sad????I left there crying.

You want a hot beverage with good flavor and made the way you want? You're looking at the right place. Prices can creep up on you. However with a good and extensive range of possible drinks and flavors will keep all kinds happy. Personalization done down to the very name. And yes the way they get your name wrong 80% of the time is true, but my Starbucks persona "Dougal" will live on forever. Food here is acceptable but I rather get it at other cafes. Baristas are happy to help. It can often be very busy and often lacking personal space when navigating through the cafe during prime times. Bathrooms tend to be clean and this location is a good place to start before you explore the rest of the bay: with a happy shot of caffeine.

I was there this morning and had the best experience I've ever had at a Starbucks (not that I've ever had a bad one). Due to it being early, poor excuse I know, I didn't quite catch the spelling and I don't want to mispell or mispronounce out of respect but her name started with an S and she was so kind and patient with me (ordering at Starbucks is akin to learning a new language for me). Best barista ever, just a positive and encouraging soul and I don't think we appreciate and/or recognize people enough so I thought I'd take two minutes out of my day to say thank you for making mine. I will be getting my coffee from this location now. Thank you to the barista and when I get the spelling I'll be far more specific next time!

Fast and efficient place to get a cup of good coffee. The place's atmosphere and lobby were good and enjoyable. They have outside sitting area and huge one at that. The are give you nice area to have chat and view of busy nanaimo. The washroom could better and clean a little more but quite understandable as this place is quite busy. Lovely and friendly staff and wiuld recommend this place just for the staff working.

The staff members here are usually prompt and friendly. You can generally expect a reliable level of service and quality at any Starbucks and this location meets that standard. My Americano is always hot and consistent and I rarely have to wait. This is a good, clean and modern Starbucks, in a busy mall.

As with the best Starbucks sites, this outlet is very centrally located, being located at the very entrance to Port Place mall in Nanaimo. While there are a couple of other car entrances, this outlet overlooks the entrance from the Trans-Canada highway, the easiest entrance to find for most people. Being located on the corner of the mall, it has a commanding view of mall traffic and activity.

This is by far the best Place in town to get a decent cup of fresh coffee. The staff here are all hard working and willing to do what ever you may need to get you the best experience possible while selecting your beverage of choice. There are plenty of choices here for goodies as well. They have sweets and sandwiches and even breakfast food choices available and on display in the front counter. The patio area outside is especially nice.

Asked them to make me a drink in my venti reusable cup, must have forgotten about it because we stood there for about another 15 mins waiting as they served everyone that had paid after us. Then finally asked us if we were waiting on something. Keep in mind there were about 5-6 staff behind the counter. Not very impressed, some staff were slightly rude and very uncoordinated with each other...

I mobile ordered a beyond sandwich but they made a sausage one instead. I noticed it looked weird but just thought it had something to do with the batch so I took a bite to find out that it was in fact not vegetarian. I am livid, I haven’t ate meat in 6 years. Great Starbucks location. Not going to comment on the quality of coffee as it's the same as in all Starbucks locations. It does tend to be very busy and usually takes a good 10-20 minutes to get coffee (including 5-10 minutes just waiting for your order after you've paid). That said, if it wasn't the only place to get a Green Tea Latte, we'd go to another shop in the mall.

Well located on the outside of the mall, next to Sport Chek. It's a Starbucks, so you'll have already made your mind up about the food and drink itself, but this location provides a good amount of seating inside, and some additional tables outside, and in the mall walkway. went there today hoping to slip in and grab a quick basic frappucino. i ordered a caramel brûlée frappuccino, i got some sort of white frappucino that looked as if it was a vanilla bean frappe. asked her if that is how they usually look carelessly, she says yes. i argued with her for 5 minutes about what it is supposed to look like, so i went up to someone near the cash and asked them to remake it as it is not the drink i asked for, the lady looked at me and we sat there arguing for 10 minutes i am trying to get her to understand what extra whip cream is, as she thinks it means cream in the frappucino and no coffee. after she finally gave up she gave me a new one, but did not say sorry or anything. not impressed one bit at other starbucks if they forget whip cream they’ll give me a $4 gift card i couldn’t even get a sorry at this one definitely not worth it and do not come here. service is 100% horrble

This morning I called Starbucks for the first time to pick up a Traveller for a meeting. I expressed I had been given a gift card and hoped the person who answered the phone could top up the amount of the gift card with a few baked goods so that I didn't have to use the rest. When I arrived, I was not only given a warm welcome, but I could see that my traveller was behind the counter getting ready. When the staff rang in my order, it came to an even $25.00 (my gift card amount), and when my receipt was printed, it was noticeably long! The staff (which I realize later was a manager) expressed that she had "taken care of" the Traveller, and had my gift card go towards baked goods for the meeting, all pre-cut up, placed in beautiful boxes, and ready to go. I almost teared up. It was such a random act of kindness and on valentines day... I couldn't believe it.... and neither could the people in my meeting. It was unexpected and unforgettable.

Worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. We showed up fifteen minutes after ordering, nothing there, no one approached us and our half complete order was sitting on the counter surrounded by flies, finally manage to wave someone down and they tell me they don't have the bagel we ordered, fine, we say whatever they have works, employee makes the bagel and then just drops it with the rest of the order and leaves. We stood there for several minutes watching everyone work and had to ask for our order again. It was absolutely bizarre. I normally try to be extra patient because things are usually very busy at Starbucks but this was really too much.

Reviews for this newish outlet are decidedly mixed. I've been here 6 times and the wait can be hard to understand sometimes; other times staff seem either confused, uncoordinated or on the verge of rude. Perhaps the new Starbucks layout has something to do with it . . .

Always has a long line and one cashier .. but they handle it really well. May 20 there were 15 ppl in line with one girl on cash and it still only took about 15 min total. Since there are 2 cash registers it's a little odd. I've never seen 2 ppl on cash in the 4 or 5 years I've been going there.

What happened to the Americano coffee???? Used to be good, a stronger coffee flavour with crema ncer than regular coffee. A bit more expensive but worth it. Tried two locations, ordered coffee with only 3/4 water to make it stronger and ended up with hotwater with a hint of coffee. No more frustation for me, good buy Starbucks.

Always reliably good coffee, zero line up today which was great for me, ordered food....it was good. Service with a masked ???? smile. Nowhere to sit indoors but that isn't within this location of Starbucks control. Small space+ Covid19 controls= no indoor seating

I’ve been coming to this place since 2010. Always the best service with a smile. A real smile , not the retail smile you get at other places. Recently , my age and dim wit combined to screw up my last few online orders. Athena , remembered my drink out of the hundreds in a day and put it aside until I got there. Sure enough , I’d not ordered the usual , she caught it in time and made me smile and laugh. Awesome service as always Athena ???????? thanks for being you !

Been visiting this location for years. Great staff and environment here. When I visit the store it’s always busy. But there is a girl named Lillian..she works super hard every time I visit. No matter how busy.. she always make an effort to chat with me. Her smile is definitely the warmest. Will now have to chase her down to indigo location :(
