I used to only buy Patagonia, MEC, North face etc etc. Honestly, Mountain Warehouse makes the exact same product for a fraction of the cost of the bigger names. Some of their product actually fits better and is more true to size then the mass produced big names. And they always have good deals. A+

Worst experience at this location. I brought my daughter in to pick up her new jacket ( she’s 5 yrs old). She was so excited. I misplaced my receipt. The employees at this store refused to give me the jacket. Told me that their had been several thefts lately. I was able to pull up my online bank records for validity purposes. They said that I should have received an emailed receipt. Unfortunately they never sent me one. After 40 min of being told no, I contacted their customer care team who called the store & made them give me my daughters coat. Both my daughters ( 5 & 8 yrs) are wearing jackets from this location. Poor customer service, terrible approach. The manager didn’t call me back to apologize. Overall my experience was very disheartening.

Went to get a jacket the other day and 4 out of the 5 I liked were sold out even online in my size. Not only that I have to wait up to 3 weeks for my winter jacket? Winter is going to be pretty much over by then. I have never understood why stores don't stock up on the sizes that go the fastest and most frequently sell out. Drives me crazy---er.

They went above and beyond to help with a situation that was not even their fault, and let’s just say that I didn’t have a receipt. Mixed experience at these stores. In the past, I equipped my daughter for winter sports for a reasonable price, and the boots, mitts, jacket, pants and cap were quality and lasted two seasons. Last week I found a jacket for my daughter on their website on sale for $29.99 plus $10 for shipping. Yet at the retail location at Metrotown, it was $69.99. The customer service there told me to check at another location because prices at store locations could differ from each other and even the online website. The staff at Willowbrook may have been too busy to pick up the phone, but I went in to check anyways, and was told the same thing by the staff there. Stores have independent pricing of each other and the online store. And the price was still $69.99. C'mon, this is the information age...

Went to exchange faulty item after contacting the customer service number who told me to go in store to exchange the item and the lady at the store didn’t seem to be one bit helpful. she just said well it has to be within a year so I can’t help you… and I said yeah it has been and then she rolls her eyes and said you don’t have a receipt… I showed her my receipt and she looks at my item and says well our policy doesn’t even cover that… I then phoned the customer service back and they said that they do cover it and that I should have had no problem returning my item. I would not recommend going to the store the workers are very rude and also the store is a disaster half the time.(customer service number lady was really nice tho)

Really unorganized location. The staff seemed very helpful but really busy. The store overall seemed understaffed. Clothes were laying everywhere. Literally everywhere. On the ground, in the wrong places, on the wrong racks. Definitely need someone to go and clean the store up. But the prices were really low, and the quality seems decent and acceptable. Would recommend if you're looking for cheap ski gear and willing to search for a little, and don't mind the overwhelming atmosphere.

One of my favorite outdoor clothing store now a days (no, I am being paid to promote them). Unlike MEC which now sells overpriced and brand name products, Mountain Warehouse offers equivalent quality products at a much more affordable price. For none clothing products, they are available online. Chances are, if you compare their online prices, you will find additional savings. That being said, store fronts will price match if you show them the online offering. Various locations in metro Vancouver area (lower mainland).

I had a poor experience today. I had one simple return to make and the staff refused to process it. They stated they weren’t processing returns today because of Black Friday. There is nothing obvious stating this policy on their website. I drove about an hour out of my way to the store with three young children, only to learn this in the store. The store was not busy, there were no customers at the cash desk and two clerks were present. I will no longer be shopping here.

Customer retention doesn't seem super important to this company, unfortunately. I purchased a Florence jacket on sale and it was delayed due to the flooding-- not the company's fault. I got my jacket, and unfortunately an animal of some kind chewed it before I got home and so the zipper was torn and unusable. I tried to email customer service, and they told me to go into the store. I spoke to the assistant manager who couldn't do a refund, fine, no problem. She offered me 20% off a new one, which seemed fine. However, it was 20% off the current price, not what I paid. Overall a transaction that was supposed to be $75, would have totalled over $160 were I to take this offer. This was my very first interaction with this company and it left a really sour taste in my mouth, after initially being very excited about my new jacket from a reputable Canadian company. This was my first, and last purchase from this company. I'll stick to Costco, where they take customer satisfaction seriously and care about retention.

We found one pair, but the preferred size was not available, so these awesome employees, Maddy and Akansha, did all their best to accommodate with our expectations and needs. The products are affordable and are a decent quality! Normally we have a great shopping experience in this store but tonight two of the girls working (a blonde and brunette) were quite rude. No friendly greeting, no "can I help you out with anything?", we felt invisible to them. Checking out today was terrible. It was as if they wanted us out of there immediately when there was still around 30 mins left until they closed. We also over heard them kicking out customers 45 mins prior to closing. They seemed like they didn't like working there so maybe that's why they're unable to provide at least the bare minimum of customer service.They can at least fake being happy and put on their customer service voice, that way the store will have somewhat of a welcoming environment.

The snow has been falling like crazy and my hiking boots weren't cutting it. After a day of shoveling snow, I ran inside their store 10 mins before they closed, with a plan to quickly buy a pair of boots. When I arrived, the big sliding door was pulled half way closed and three girls were standing , gabbing at the front counter. Not once did they ask me if I needed help. They completely ignored me and continued to visit.. I assume they are paid til 5pm, and would expect the employer to want them to work during that time. Needless to say, I didnt bother to make a purchase. No point in going back to a business that employs people to hold up their counter, rather then serving their customers.
