Here you have the opinions of real people like you who are consuming the products and services of Laggan's (Mall) around Lake Louise territory (Canada).
At this moment the firm gets a score of 3.9 stars over 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is positive, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Mall is included in the category of Bakery.
Delicious pain au chocolat + butter croissants. Great coffee, too!
Busy but efficient cafe. Great takeaway sandwiches which we enjoyed up by the Lake. Cookies were tasty too, coffee so-so and a slightly weary staff on Labour Day weekend.
Very bad experience from the receptionist
Absolutely the foulest coffee we ever made the mistake of queuing or paying for. One of the orders was screwed up twice and then they tried to imply they were too busy to fix it. Ultimately both coffees were undrinkable (mine was a mocha with no discernible coffee or chocolate and which tasted like boiled skim milk) and were jettisonned into the nearest trash can. Avoid.
Love this place and always make sure we find a way to get here when in the area. Everything is so good there is never much left after the lunch rush but there is always dessert. Their coffee is the best. Only downfall is that we have never been able to sit inside. Not enough room ... picnic tables out back in the summer but the car is the only option other times. ????☕️????
Usually packed with people. It's a great bakery with many different things to choose from. There's space to eat and an absolute must visit if heading up to Lake Louise later on.
I love their croissant and pain au chocolat
Friendly staff. Good food & coffee. Haven't had a sausage roll in years.....Tip: don't buy one, buy two because they're lush :) Popular with locals and visitors. Don't be put off by the long line up - the staff are efficient and keep the line moving. Enjoy!
Awesome meat pies. I’d eat here versus buying food from the market any day of the week!!
Got the vegetable pizza, tofu patty, triple chocolate brownie, and chocolate croissant. Loved the tofu patty and the chocolate croissant. The vegetable pizza was okay. The brownie was also nice. Highly recommend the chocolate croissant. Reasonable prices.
Good food and coffee with coffee card. Friendly staff.
Extreme dirty and unfriendly Employees.
Great service, very friendly, Thank you Bailey and Madelaine for your service! Definitely recommend!
Breakfast is not good, terrible bun
Poor customer service
Was very good!! I'd go there again if I had a chance to visit Banff once more.
Best Mac 'n' Cheese at the Canadian Rockies!
Loved the English Toffee latte! The pastries were also very tasty :) But best of all was the service - very friendly, very helpful and they gave us a discount cuz it was Christmas eve. Thanks!! :)
Nice little stop off on a road trip amazing pies!
Absolutely Yum!
Always great food, coffee and service.
Had the butter chicken which was good! Could have been larger portions but ok for the area....
Great food
Basic food. Bad coffee.
Health cookies, yum.
Amazing tea, disappointing pastries
Our favorite bakery in Lake Louise, full of yummy goodies.
Fantastic pizza and friendly staff. Hot and fresh food!!
Ordered some chicken fingers and fries and the staff forgot about my order, ended up waiting for over half an hour for my food.
Over packed with people. Hardly anyone social distance. Poor food quality. Service is horrible.
Ordered a pizza from Laggans, and was disappointed to find the entire bottom burnt. Prices are high, and the food only okay. I’d recommend Laggans for coffee and a pastry/cookie but not much else
Decent coffee and teas. Nice setup to move you through the purchase process, but you can't see everything until you walk by it. The sausage rolls are pretty good and we enjoyed the cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants
Expensive. Mac and cheese is good.
A fun variety of pastries and breakfast sandwiches Tasty coffee Not over priced
I do not understand why but my group and i all loved the trio cold cut sandwich. It was so delicious. The chili was excellent too
One staff was rude and unhappy. I have been going there from last 8 years , things have changed.
Great place for breakfast fast and friendly before you got the slopes.
Great staff and amazing food! I suggest the turkey pot pie!
I had the beef pie, and it was absolutely delicious! What a little gem in Lake Louise. I'd come back any time, and I'll definitely recommend it to friends & family.
Great coffee, many pastries, gluten free options
Love the baked goodies
Nice pastry and good coffee.
I ordered two items, paid for two items, got on the bus to head to Jasper and only one item in the bag. Did not think I would have to double check but guess I should have. The server was busy talking to his friend so guess he did not hear my simple order. Taught me a lesson to double check before leaving
I love the pie. It's good. But be prepare to line up for quite a while before you can make your order during the summer time.
The gluten free hazelnut bars are something I would drive all the way to Laggan's for any day.
Great sausage rolls! Delicious pastries too.
Nice cafe
Enjoyed having a breakfast there. What I loved the most was their fresh breakfast and their delicious pasteris. So good! Coffee was ok but not the best. Loved the photo wall displays in the cafe a lot.
Terrible service, terrible food, terrible prices, and a terrivle experience. Honestly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Current staff should be fired.
You can have very good breakfast choices and coffee there and the ladies there are friendly and nice and beautiful! You should visit
Good service
Good
Simply over rated place. That is a line up simply because there is nothing else.
Kind of odd, disjointed experience... we had three or four different people help us for our one order and it seemed very disorganized. I don't know what was wrong with their power, but they couldn't toast my bagel or the credit card machine wouldn't work. Next day, the credit card machine didn't work at all so we went next door instead... Jamaican beef patty was very good.
The iced americano was very weak... They use illy beans. For "specialty coffee" it was underwhelming.
Overpriced and often busy but it's the only one in town so they pretty much have you by the nuts don't they.
Nicely Managed ✌️Very nice crew and excellent fast food service ????
Great homemade everything.. Love the Bacon BOB in the morning
Very well priced quality food at such a busy place. Friendly and very helpful staff as well! Will be back again
The coffee was not very good but the treats we got were delicious.
The best bakery/cafe in Lake Louise
It was delicious????
Always a great spot
They have a variety of options for food for the hungry and tired hiker coming back from Lake Louise. Pricey for simple foods, but for reasonable decent quality food.
Ordered the chili cheese fries. Very tasty with massive portions. Could easily feed 2 people. The brownie with walnuts is also delicious. The veggie tofu roll was also great.
Decent place for quick coffee, usually it's busy and staff is good.
Good food. Reasonable prices
Laggan's is probably best as a lunch or breakfast stop and sure beats the super unhealthy fast food that you're pretty much stuck with when travelling; the baked goods can make a good dessert, but not sure if it's worth deliberately stopping for them. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"
Been here for years.
Beef pies, Mac n cheese, and cookies are delicious.
Good food. Fast service. Even the pizza is great!
Great stop for sandwiches, coffee, etc.
Excellent place to get a wide variety of food that is ready in minutes. Our favorite rest spot driving between Northern BC and Alberta.
Great iced coffee
I always visit here whenever i go to Lake Louise interesting staff varieties of beverages and snacks
Good service, lots of food options if you don't have allergies. The hot chocolate was very good! Creamy and chocolatly. There weren't any safe options for celiac but the food smelt good. Good place to stop before going up the mountain or to the lake. Near cute shops that you can tour or buy some gifts.
Laggan's was my go-to for the 5 months I lived in lake Louise. Cheaper than trailheads, and the other coffee place beside the husky station couldn't even dream about competing with Laggan's when it comes to quality. I would specifically recommend: -vegan energy bar -all their brownies -milkshakes - and, of course, their coffee's got a good kick
The pizza and hot dog was good finger food.
Good coffee, nice staff, great cinammon buns
Over 15 dollars for a cold sandwich and 6 ounces of Chicken Mulligatawny soup. Worst rendition I have ever had. She had 25 people in line and she had two obviously new students working. . All she would do was cut a pizza while these kids worked half speed. I looked inside to see if there was actually any soup in the serving pots. And she didn't have the guts to tell me she didn't like that, she rocks my wife a look. Then 25 minutes later she decides to help out just in time to lay into me to tell me it wasn't self service. If you want to overpay for prison style food and service at 3 times over inflated prices this is your place. For me and 99 percent of the population. No thanks
It's a small bakery but it had really good options to eat. The price of the items were quite affordable too. The girls were nice. I liked it.
It was ok.
Felt cheated! They advertised full sized pizza on the tv menu, on the display counters and at the entrance. But when you actually go in they say it is pizza by the slice only. We were a family of 4 so had to buy 6 large slices at $37 versus could have bought a large pizza for $23. Great job! Taking undue advantage of the sudden traffic at lake louise. Will never go back.
Love this place! Reminds me of a wee Scottish bakery/deli. Excellent sausage rolls and wicked deserts.
bread and bakery.
Stopped here on the way to Banff on a weekday morning. The wait was long. No in door dining, but there are a couple picnic benches outside. Had a sandwich and potatoe leek soup which were really delicious! Also had the chicken pot pie which was mediocre.
Very good good Awesome
Great coffee , ok bread , VERY friendly staff who went the extra mile. A little pricey but to be expected in a tourist trap town.
Every time I go to Lake Louise I have to stop in here. Being dairy and gluten free it’s hard to find places that have food. They have some delicious baked goods. The energy bars and hazelnut macaroons are amazing! My wife has had sandwiches that she said are great, my family has had other baked goods and the pizza and loved them. Definitely recommend, was in there today and staff was wonderful super helpful and kind.
Over the 4 days i was in lake louise i had the opportunity to try a number of their items. Almond croissant: 8/10 - filling was good and lacked an artificial almond flavour but only covered the middle 3/5 of the pastry. Hazelnut chocolate croissant: 10/10 - one of the best chocolate croissants ive ever had, filling is oozing out and burstig with hazelnut crunch. Strawberry pinwherel danish - 8/10 strawberry filling seems homemade and very nice but should be spread out instead of being puled in the center only. Cherry cheese danish - 7/10, good but nothing special. Raisin wheel/bread - 8/10, i hate raisins but wihout them its not bad very crispy and flaky almost like a palmier. Apple strudel cups - 9/10 nice esp when warmed up. Apple walnut tartlet - 9/10, fairly sweet and caramely but is nixely balanced with butteryness of tart crust and toppings. Almond macaroon - 8/10 - pretty good gf option. GF Hazelnut bar -6/10 has awesome flavour potential but went stale within a dayof purchasing with the nuts being somewhat rancid. Baguette - 6/10 was awesome and tender the first day, with a nice crust, was stale by the second day - dissapointing. Coffee 7/10 pretty generic but good for the low price. Americano 7/0 again generic, and also fairly inconsistent with regards to the crema. Overall would go again, great pastry selection and alot of options. Service was overall great, though alot of new employees.
Good but pricey.
I love this place. We live in Banff but I try to pass by every time I am in the area. Their pastries are happiness in a bite. Whatever you'll try there: delicious!
Overpriced old sandwich and poor service. We had a turkey sandwich, it tasted old and dry. The gas station had better sandwiched for that price!
Good food and drinks. Friendly people and a fair price.
Garbage service we walked out
Everytime I've been in there, the line is to the door! I had to wait at the register for about 5 minutes until they could ring me up.. You gotta take what you can get in the area.. I would like to see more vegan options in the area. The only reason I didn't give lower than 4 stars was that they had soy milk for my coffee.
Huge line but went very fast! Very friendly/helpful staff. Hand's down BEST pizza I've ever had in Alberta. Just ordered a margarita pizza nothing fancy but the sauce was so light and delicious and the crust was fabulous. Everything else there looks great as well! Definitely recommend this place to stop at when going up to see Lake Louise.
Different options of snacks items. good price and quality
This place has gone downhill since my last visit! I know you are busy but customer service is important! I'll keep driving next time.
Stopped in at 7:45am for a breakfast snack after a quick walk at Lake Louise. Flies all over the place, unpleasant dining due to trying to chase flies away.
Decent and perhaps also different as they serve vegan menu too. Standard cafe setup but lack of the outdoor seating during cold seasons... Good choice of food and drinks while located in the complex next to supermarket, liquor store and gas station cross the street.
Had some pretty great mac and cheese here
Excellent pies and fast service despite the line up.
Staff very friendly. Food was good too.
Get the sausage rolls. The (dark roast) coffee was meh.
Great service and excellent food!
Bad customer service. They does not know how to talk with a polite and respectful way to the customer
Hit and Miss, delicious baked goods and Coffee/Tea but for food items I'd much rather go to Trailhead
Rude waiters but the food is alright
A bit pricey and only small portions.
Food was reasonable. Prices are somewhat high but there are good value options there.
I love the health cookie! It's moist, not to sweet and nutty with dried fruit. I bought a mix to bring home with me. My husband had a bagel and a cinnamon raisin roll. Both were good. There is a large selection of things and they seem to keep people moving through they're pretty well even when it's busy.
This place is such a gem, because of the amazing experience created by JJ. He's great with all kinds of people, and makes each visit to Laggan's a memorable and uplifting one. What a pro. Great coffee too!

Food was very good but overpriced. Not much seating. Vegetarian options available.
Yummy
Love this Bakery for snacks or lunch after skiing. Always a must visit.
The bread is tasty and nicely priced (4.5-6 $), of the two waistrss one was a bit rude. Cofee and tea are okay too. Note that they are no plugs for charging cellphones or wifi.
food was good, but they turned on club music at 8:24am and it completely ruined our enjoyable morning breakfast/coffee. the music brings a party drinking vibe rather than a relaxing coffee shop vibe. we left shortly after.
It's a good coffee house. Staff nice
It was closed
(Translated) It is open from 7 am Panini, sandwiches, tortilla wraps with hot coffee and breakfast before hiking. Or, I had the pleasure of taking out and eating at the scenic places of hiking.
Pouring rain on Friday so we snuck in for a hot London Fog to warm up. Fast service, hot drinks, flaky fresh pastry hit the spot. When the sun came out, we headed back for another hike! Definitely a good spot to stop for a bite to eat or grab a tea!
Health cookies are classic
There was no fresh baked bread and the baked good are old
Awesome selection, great price and friendly staff!
Blaring horrible 80s music with a blown speaker. My turkie pot pie used canned turkey. So disgusting.
rude staff
The pizza was really good, and the baked goods were excellent.
Super bakery, wonderful pastries, good coffee! BUT usually long 0
Cooper the staff member serving Shouted at me and got very angry because I was asking the kind lady serving me whether there were gluten or diary allergies in the food and then persisted to shout at me and square up to me like he wanted a confrontation when I was speaking to the manager. Unless you want to be yelled at my cooper I wouldn't go there
Good coffee, speedy service, delicious almond croissant, not stupid busy. Everything I was looking for at the time!
This place is a gem! The staff are amazing, the food is delicious, and the drinks are worth the drive alone. Is you are driving but or stoping to walk around Lake Louise, this is a must stop.
Love this place! Delicious! Treat yourself :) Pop in before or after your adventures in the mountains for a snack or meal.
A delicious turkey pie and sausage roll make this bakery a winner! Stop by here when you visiting Lake Louise
It was okayish food but you dont have many options here anyway. So ????
Great place, even better staff!
Food is a bit pricy. Coffee is good. Staff members are a mixed bag. Some are professional and some are far from. I was too lazy to try a different spot in the plaza, but in the hindsight, I should've.
Great sweets
Gregg's of Banff.
Delicious freshly baked pastry and great coffee! Their raspberry danish is one of the best I’ve even had!
Quick great hot meals and treats
very tasty bakery!
Yum!!! A must-do stop each time you're in Lake Louise.
Food for lunch was pretty good. Pretty large variety of food available for everyone
Pecan tart was great
love the pastry, always try to stop here if Im in the area.
One of 2 coffee shop in the lake louise village. Reasonably priced, frequently busy, seating can be tricky, friendly and attentive staff.
Good pastries at OK prices for the neighborhood. Staff needs to be told that head-banger music at conversation-stopping volume is not appreciated by majority of clientele. They did agree to turn it down upon request.
Amazingly busy all year but real high quality food. Coffee is pretty decent too. There's enough on menu to keep the locals coming back, and the bakery style means they can serve you nice and quick, a great stop for a quick cheap bite in Lake Louise
Everything is very good, all the Teams are kind, and always smiling, is our first time here, and it will be our favorite coffee shop, for ever..keep the good spirit up.. and keep smiling ????.
the muffin was amazing, and the staff is super nice and friendly.
We stopped by to grab a bite to eat and the service was horrible. The girl serving us took the kids orders and as she was getting their food, she called over for another employee to help with the line up. She made a comment about wanting him to finish with the line so she could go clean, meanwhile there were four other people standing in line. We figured that she would at least finish up the rest of our order but instead gave us the kids meals and said if we needed anything else we had to wait for the other employee to help us. This place obviously isn’t worried about Covid 19 as they wanted another person to touch our food. Poor service for over priced food as we paid $17 for kid size Mac and Cheese.
Generally good food - like the pies and Mac and cheese
They have good Jamaican patties but the turkey sandwich was a tragedy. No taste or spice at all. It's hard to mess up a sandwich but somehow it was done. Their breakfast menu was lacking and we had to eat there out of desperation.
This place sells really yummy beef pies. Sausage rolls are really good too, as is coffee. There's free WiFi and plugs to charge your phone here. Would visit again.
Brilliant staff and good foot at a reasonable price.
Staff ate my food then tried to sell to me. Who knows what else they do to people's food. It is disgusting!! The owner should be ashamed and get new staff. Went here yesterday. Menu looked good, I was in hurry so I only ordered fries. The man that served me put my fries on to cook. When they were the blonde haired girl behind the counter asked a staff member if they would like some fries, to which he started eating right in front of me and the other customers. As I got to the cashier to pay he asked if I what I was paying for. I said I had ordered fries but the staff are now eating them so I don't want them anymore. The blondie then tried to convince me that these were "test" fries and that they were not mine. I explained that I had watched the man put them in when I had ordered them and they were in fact mine. It was approx 12:30pm, why would they being doing test fries now anyway? The man who served me was unaware that I had busted a staff member eating my fries, so he tried to give them to me. When I said I didn't want them because they had been eaten, he looked at the other staff members and they had a giggle like this was something they did regularly but got caught this time. No one washed their hands, blondie touched her hair several times, while other staff members even touches their nose then touched food. Staff were eating and drinking behind the counter in front of customers and where food is being prepared. They need a manager who actually knows about health codes and proper food safety practices.
Very Rude staff, unwelcoming, food terrible. Do not go here! Go to Trailhead Cafe right across instead
Nice little place with good beverages and quick snacks. Their sausage roll is really good.
Pretty tasty food and love the health cookies.
really great pies and good coffee. I always try to stop here on my way through the rockies
Good choice, nice food, busy but quick service, bit pricey but it is Lake Louise.
A great place to go after skiing for lunch or a snack.
Wonderful hot chocolate at a very reasonable price.
Absolutely ridiculous, high prices for tasteless food. Family of 3 ordered 7 items. Everything except hot chocolate went to garbage. Paninis were very dry and the sauce used tasted bitter. Sandwich - everyone doesn't like shape cheddar, no sauce or mayo used. Sausage rolls tasted more like mashed potatoes than sausage. My kid makes better mac and cheese at home. Cupcake was just ok, cream on top was too sweet. Not recommended for sure..
Great food....we had breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Walked over to the river and ate there.
This place is in flagrant violations of social distancing. We went at lunch time and the line-up was out the door, with people standing only a couple of feet apart. Why bother with the social distancing circles if they are going to be ignored? When I pointed this out to the child working behind the counter, he got snarky and brushed it off, and became dismissive, basically unwilling to follow by-laws that the rest of planet earth has incepted. It's too bad that the dollar comes before the health of the customers during a pandemic. I wanted to take pictures, and should have, but just wanted to get out of there. If I had not been needing food due to being hypoglycemic, I would have gone next door where they were obeying the by-laws. After years of being a customer here, I will not be coming back until the pandemic is over. I will not risk my health.
Been here lots. After skiing and travelling through. Not fancy, and FAST. Usaully they have chilli. pizza, COOKIES AMAZING Last time I was here the 3 BABES working gave me some free pizza at end of day! WOWZA! I hope they read this as they were very helpful. Left a nice tip for them and they actually said THANK YOU. Had coffee here before and it was good. Nice mini - mall. WIsh all places were like this. ITS NOT FANCY ITS CHEAP AND GOOD FOR LAKE LOUISE. I WOULD STOP HERE EVEN IF IT WAS OUT OF MY WAY. A++++ STAY REAL
nice place for coffee; and they have veggie chilli soup which is full of beans and veggie, comfort food in this rainy weather.
Delicious
Often busy, and well worth the wait, should there be one.... Gluten-free (they may call it "friendly" due to lack of dedicated GF facility) options for entrees and desserts.
Great selection, delicious food, very reasonable price.
(Translated) There is no other store and I am hungry so I can't throw it away. It wasn't really good. Eat beef sandwiches and chicken wraps. (Original) 다른 가게가 없고 배고파서 차마 버리진 못하고 꾸역꾸역 먹음. 정말 맛 없었음. 비프 샌드위치와 치킨랩을 먹음.
Loved the peppermint hot chocolate and how most of their products are eco friendly with many food and drink options for vegans and celiacs. Very clean inside with a good view of the mountain and surroundings. Good old school music and friendly staff. Will be returning at every opportunity!
Great rolls, buns, and pizza. Came here twice for our stay and got the best bang for our buck. Their coffee was also great. Will definitely come back.
Great Turkey pie and chocolate croissant, for under $11.
Lovely croissants and pizza bagels.
Charged us 3 dollars for a cup of hot water to warm a bottle of baby formula.
Always stop here for a latte and health cookie on the way through. Never disappoints.
Very ordinary food and service. Prices still Lake Louise premium, though.
A must stop on any road trip to Lake Louise. Great cookies, sandwiches and soups to keep you going on your trip.
Great food, a little price but that is due to lack of competition. Compared to other prices in Lake Louise it's ok though and you get good food for what you pay. Great vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options!!
(Translated) It's delicious, bread here. Customers from Japan were also delicious. Somehow, is it from the prefecture that consumes the most bread in Japan? Because that person says, it is real. (Original) 美味しいですよね、ここのパン。 日本からのお客様も美味しいっておっしゃっていました。 何やら、日本で最もパンを消費する都道府県ご出身だとか。 その方が言うのですから、本物ですよね。
Long wait time, poor service. Saw an foreign gentleman almost got kicked to the back of the line by an employee even though he was in front of me and we waited in the same line for almost 20 minutes. The foreign gentleman obviously didn't speak English and just wanted to get his food and the employee was being patronizing as hell trying to explain to him in English the rule of the cafe. If this cafe was in any other cities in Canada it wouldn't even stay in business.
Servers were abrupt, unfriendly, and rude to an elderly couple in front of me in the line. Couldn't belive the lack of hospitality the visitors received.
Expensive, and the sandwich was soggy and gross :(
Gr8 stuff
Very nice place to grab a bite while in hiking traveling. Courteous staff and fast service. I would definitely recommend this place. Busy once the weekend comes and events at Lake Louis.
A little overpriced but okay..
One Star Food was either burnt, doughy or extremely stale. Had a brownie and it was clearly either a display model or it had been there far past it’s due date. Mediocre which is sad as I LOVED this place and have not been for several years. Quality and standards are poor.
I could not place my order for the Macaroni & Cheese, despite them being in the process of making more which would be ready in 10 minutes. It apparently cannot be ordered in advance. The person I was with ordered chicken fingers & fries & was told they would also be ready in 10 minutes but was able to make & pay for the order in advance. I waited, the expectation of what could be a very good Macaroni & Cheese was worth it, but once it was taken out of the oven, I had gotten back in line & was able to order, it was gone again. It is a shame that I could not try their food it looked very good. I only get to Lake Louise once or twice a year so the loss of me as a customer will not affect them, but I will go elsewhere & get better service.
Awesome coffee, panini, service. Right next to river and picnic tables.
If you are hungry and wandering around Lake Louise, this is the spot to get something to eat. Pizza, soup, sandwich or something sweet you'll find it here. Same goes for ta, chai, coffe...
No one goes to a proper bakery looking for dry, hard cookies that cost $3 each. And still, this is what they serve. There are better treats to be had in a regular grocery store.
Polite staff, but tourist prices for mediocre food and drink
Make sure you go here for anything coffee, food, before and after mountain activities
The food was too salty for me.
Great food at reasonable prices. Huge portion of chili cheese fries or with poutine for CAD 9,50. The butter chicken was well asked, too.
Such a good cookie!
Very rude employees. Don’t have any patience. Never gonna come here again.
Sweet!
Had the beef patty and it was great.
Food was amazing and prices were half the price of the nearby coffee shops! Excellent service aswell.
I’ve been a regular here the past couple years. Overall good... I go for muffins and coffee. Lately I’ve been greeted by a staff member with “hi buddy”, how can I help you “buddy”. I can’t stand being called buddy. I am not a dog nor child. Pet names are generally a bad idea in the service industry. Anyway I approached this individual about it and respectfully requested not to be addressed as such. Sure enough, on my next visit I get the buddy treatment again. I’ve liked the shop until now but if I’m going to be insulted to my face each visit I’m not going to return. McDonald’s teaches “welcome to McDonald’s how can I help you?” No sir. No buddy. Just professionalism ????
Bad service, bad food and not well organized. We will never go back.
Butter chicken is amazing
Nice little bakery. The staff were friendly. Good location
Friendly staff! Prices seem a bit steep for the quantity of the items. But, still a good place to stop by for some food or coffee.
Best Chocolate hazelnut croissant best food best atmosphere
I would recommend this place to eat at lake louise village. Price is fair for pretty quality food at a tourist attraction
Bit expensive and slow, but good food.
Terrible customer service.. Ive met autistic people with better social skills. Hope the owner knows how unpleasant his crew is!
The pastry was great. Lattee was good also the staff were friendly.
(Translated) The butter chicken is delicious, although local prices are a bit expensive. (Original) El butter chicken es delicioso, aunque los precios del local son un poco caros.
Decent place to stop and grab a quick bite. Usually pretty busy.
Located right by the grocery store. Butter chicken and rice was a surprise. The Jamaican beef patty was also good.
There is a warning sign at the counter about the heat of the chili ($7 CND for a tiny cup) but it is somewhat mitigated by the piece of bread that comes with it - I chose multigrain and liked it but you can also choose white. They have butter but it's not set out so you must request it. The store is narrow and cramped, and the line leads you in front of all of the pastry cases until you get to the register. But don't buy the pastries behind the glass. What none of the patrons coming in the front door realize is that way in the back near the rear exit is the spot for day-old breads and boxes of assorted day-old pastries. I spotted this after we bought the chili and investigated. A single day-old box had two raspberry danishes, a croissant, a cheddar biscuit, a muffin, and a scone. And the price? Just $4 CND. What a steal - the tally of each of those items fresh was over $15. We bought the box and I was quite pleased with the quality - nothing was overly sweet as I was expecting, the cheddar biscuit was wonderful, the muffin and scone disappeared with tea, one of the danishes didn't even make it to the car, and the croissant was perfectly acceptable the next morning despite its age.
Food was okay. Service was so bad..really bad. borderline rude! And the food is not even cheap.
Mostly a lot of pastries that seem very mass-produced and not all of them seem very fresh. They do have a small variety of sandwiches (maybe 4 options) vs. probably 50 baked good options. The tuna salad sandwich on pretzel bread was decent, and they also had quinoa salad which was healthy. Not amazing , but edible and cheaper than getting food up at Lake Louise.
Good hazelnut pastry and good selection of teas
Really good baked goods at reasonable prices. Good service as well. We especially enjoyed the chocolate croissant, the brownies and the banana chocolate muffin. We'll be back for more!
Decent coffee. Need more vegan options.
We were surprised to find such a good cafe in lake Louise village with a wide variety of options. They have lots of hot beverages. We ordered the tea latte and believe me you will not be able find a difference between Starbucks and this one. The snacks to go with the drinks were also good. I would say it's moderate to high price range. There are only two tables outside but you can take your order to the back of the cafe and sit on the benches beside the river and enjoy your breakfast. I have added a pic of the view.
The best stop to make après ski, après hike, heck just driving through Lake Louise. It's a MUST!!!
Grabbed some yummy pastries for breakfast at Baker Creek. Laggan's smells so good, and there are so many wonderful items to choose from.
Myself and 3 of my friends came into Laggans from out of town for a quick bite. Two of us decided we wanted to get some soup. We ordered and paid for the food. One other person in our party while waiting for us, pulled out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich they had made at home. He didn’t even have a chance to take a bite before an older gentleman approached him and asked him if he typically eats food at a restaurant that was not bought there. This “gentleman” didn’t identify himself and appeared more as a crabby old man that was worried about something that was so insignificant and didn’t concern him. During this interaction this older man decided it was appropriate to put his hand on the back of my friend with the sandwich in some way thinking this was an appropriate thing to do. In hind sight this is probably something he does to intimidate people. After I returned from the register and paid for the food that we bought my friend told me what happened. This older gentleman who still had yet to identify himself went over to the register where he continued staring at us as if we had just robbed the place. He walked back to the front of the store, staring at us the whole way and i asked him if he had a problem? He asked me the same thing he asked my friend earlier and once again, he decided to put his hand on my back. I told him not to touch me. I asked him why this was any of his business. It was only then that he identified himself as the “owner”. We exchanged words. He eventually went out the front of the store. After talking to my friends in the “restaurant”, an older woman who was seemingly more approachable than the older man began to try and get us to understand that because their rent was “higher” than the other stores we should try to understand. How would we possibly even think about that being a reason for how we were treated? We understand the notion of no outside food but it truly was the way we were approached. If this “guy” came up to us and said “hi guys, my name is so and so and i am the owner. We have a policy in which we dont allow outside food so of you can eat it outside we would appreciate it.” We would’ve understood, grabbed our food and gotten out of there. Instead this man whose name is Gene or Jean, not sure how to spell it tried to bait us and intimidate us. These so called owners need to learn how to deal with people. First by not touching people. Maybe if they had better business practices they wouldn’t be worried about bothering paying customers and they wouldnt struggle to pay their “higher rent.”
Their pastries and veggie pizza was amazing

Good illy coffee and tasty pastries..nothing fancy but nice to sit outside with their coffee..good service
Buddy working in there at minimum wage is saving the planet single handedly by not honouring a mask exemption and told me to go over to Trailheads...so tired of these people doing this during a Scamdemic. The people over at Trailheads we very nice and honoured mask exemption. I was happy to not give Laggans a penny.
Good food. Good choices for breakfast and snacks.

If your from Australia and looking for a meat pie don't buy one from here !! Just falls apart in your hand!!
Went for breakfast thinking it would be fresh. All I got was a microwave bacon and egg sandwich that was probably made the day before. Nothing special about the coffee and honestly I don't think it's a real Bakery. Their pastries look like the kind to get a Tim Hortons that are just are cooked.
Stopped in looking for lunch. Grabbed a couple slices of their Spicy Meat pizza. Crust was quite good, good flavor to the pizza all around, but there were almost no toppings other than cheese. Maybe 3 pieces of pepperoni per slice and one or two small pieces of sausage and thats it. At a cost of $6 for one slice, resort town or not, you should be ashamed of the skimpy amount of toppings on such an expensive pizza, but kudos to whoever came up with the recipe.
Good service
Gas station quality coffee. Dried pastry, pizza bagel dry... Picked this spot "for old times sake" it is not what it was in the early nineties
Health cookie was the bomb! Must try!!
This is a rare place because it's difficult to find shops for picnic sandwitches around this area. Food and staff are great.
Great deli and pastry store to visit in Village of Lake Loiuse ... especially the $4 day old pastry surprise box ???? !
Great poutine!!
Good pizza and snacks. Not terrible prices given the location. However the service has really gone downhill lately as many other reviews have mentioned.
Had a nice cup of coffee here, not spectacular but decent prices considering this is Lake Louise.
Delicious peppercorn loaf bread.
The chubby girl in the front cashier was very impatient and rude. She looks like in a hurry and hate to answer customer question. No service spirit at all. Even I tipped her 18% Hope the owner saw this review, need some hospitality training here.
