I like it here lots of shops to explore but all the roundabouts here make it confusing and dangerous to drive for me. Be careful and take ur time here in this area it gets stupid busy all day. The shops are great though. Very big and fun to explore.

Most of the big box stores and lots of smaller ones, including a medical building, theatre and gym. Good place to shop if you like a long walk between stores. Serviced by local bus routes.

I wouldn't exactly call the boardwalk a bad place. The variety is more apparent than most other places. Everything from hardware, to fashion, to medical needs. The bus stop section helps out a great too. The only issue I have is the crime factor. Friends of mine have had their cars broken into, and I've had my bike tires slashed.

It's fine for the style of spread out mall. The parking lot is a pain, and walking from store to store isn't made very easy. But we still go because it's convenient and has many shops with stuff we need.

My first time there and It was not a great experience. Service I found was very bad, we never knew who was our real server and waited for a least 20 mins before getting served our drinks then had to wait again to get our food order and it wasn't that busy there. There were people that came after us that got served before us. I found the food to be OK I wasn't that impressed. I personally will not go back

I was able to get my eyes done here, the worker was very nice and had a bubbly attitude and made it so much better, this is my go to for any medical attention needed, the interior is nice but the photo in the elevator was kind of creepy when the door opened and closed ????, definitely recommend going there because the staff is nice and get the job done right.

The Boardwalk has a variety of stores and restaurants all in one place. It’s not usually overwhelmingly busy, which is nice for a shopping centre. There’s everything you’d need for a family night out or date night e.g. movie theatre, dinner, coffee, etc. They also have a play place/water park area for little kids.

Love coming to this plaza. Such a large variety of stores: Walmart, Lowe’s, Dollarama, Bulk Barn, shoe stores, restaurants, medical centres, movie theater, gym. It has a splash pad that just opened for the kids and occasionally a carnival that comes and is set up in the parking lot. Lots of roundabouts which is nice to get around quickly! It is a newish area compared to others in town so it is well maintained!

Everything pretty much in one place.. the staff are ver knowledgable the wait times to mee seem normal for a busy clinic and it has a cosy comfy atmosphere! When you walk in you know your at a medical center but at the same time you dont feel nerve wraked going in like you get when you visit most centers. The staff being knowledgable; they take their time with you, they dont rush you out as fast as possible and check ins are extremily easy compared to other clinics in the area!

The parking is terrible. The people that go to yoga take up all the parking spots. Just to pop in a shop you have to park at the drug store and go across the street. Parking should be only half hour at the most.

This is a really good mall, with a good selection of stores. However, this mall can be a little bit of a hassle to bus to, and it is very badly located as it is down wind of the Waterloo regional dump so the whole area smells pretty bad most days.

A very large outdoor mall with all kinds of shopping. Ira Needles is a very busy street with several small roundabouts that are tricky to get in and out of if you are not a custom to driving in roundabouts.

Food was very poor in quality. Cactus cut fries we paid extra for were under cooked informed waitress. She said I will tell manager came back said we put a half order in for you. They came way over cooked. Will not be back to this location. Also BP chicken club so greasy it was dripping on plate. Very disappointed with this location. Kids meal we bought came with desert but was not offered so over all not a good experience for what we paid for it all.

I dont know why the older crowd hates this place. They feel like that area of town 'stole' their core city away or something. I Love the idea of everything all in one spot even having to drive across town for it. Rock on new world

I really like the new boardwalk. It has lots of stores, basically everything you could need, and lots of good places to eat. The way it's been laid out it also really nice, it's very open. It has a real community feel to it. There's tones of parking available and it's also really easy to get here on public transit. It's also far enough from the universities that not a lot of students come here which is nice. The only con I can come up with is that sometimes it smells terrible since it's so close to what I assume is a dump.

Overall it's a good variety of stores. However, as bus user, it really sucks. You're pretty much walking up to 10 minutes to get anywhere. The theater and Walmart being the worst. You need to walk through a huge parking lot. If its snowy you'll be walking in ice, and if its hot you'll be fully exposed to the sun and subjected to that terrible landfill smell. You have to walk through those round abouts wich can suck as they are poorly lit. Should you need a bathroom, you could be screwed as what few options are avilible are either a long line, or a long walk. I feel like this place punishes bus riders.

Smells from the garbage dump right behind the brick and walmart are straight up disgusting. Almost on a daily basis. I do not recommend going there, ever. I find it to be a pretty sick joke they build two "health centers" in an area of town you can hardly breathe. Gross. More people should be disgusted by this.

Every box store imaginable is located along the Boardwalk. There are also a couple of grocery stores. There are a couple of restaurants & coffee shops in the middle of the Boardwalk. A kid's splashpad was recently added. There are roundabouts joining some of the parking lots. Parking spaces are tight for full size pickup trucks. Overnight RV parking is allowed at the Walmart. A medical centre is located at the end of the Boardwalk with an additional medical building currently under construction.

My doctors office is in the far building and the bus stop for the bus I take is where the main stops are. I have to walk down the sidewalk. There would be no issue if there was a side walk all the way down. (Now there is one side that does. But to take that sidewalk I would have to cross the street 2 extra times.) I am tired of having to walk in he mud where the side walk should be. Why in the world is there no sidewalk? It is a little curve from one crossing to the other. Is it so hard to put one in? When will there be a sidewalk there? [ as of December 2019 there is Still no walkway]

My only issue is it can get pricey but I'm guessing cause it's Waterloo and things tend to be more expensive in the area. You have to try Cobb's Bakery. Breads of different varieties, scones that are the best I've tried. They have a variety of Danish and other items. Don't go there for fried donuts as they don't have that. But when you see the variety you will never eat a donut again.

Good selection of stores, you can basically find whatever you reasonably need. However, it's very spread out and hairy to negotiate on foot. There aren't any trees or structures to provide shelter from the wind or sun as you traverse the parking lots, and they even shut down a lot of walkways in winter. So it's fine, but really only usable if you don't mind walking a lot and the weather is nice.

This is a good shopping centre with lots of parking and everything you need including a medical centre, movie theatre, a gym, furniture/home stores, clothing stores, restaurants, banks, offices, phone providers, dry cleaning, nails, hair, Dollarama, Walmart Supercenter/groceries, and even a playground/waterpark for kids which is very unique. They also have an electric car charging station here. It's a beautiful place with appreciated effort put into making the "boardwalk" theme.. Well maintained and clean. A lot of bus stops here.

Neat place especially if you have several items on your shopping list that require visiting multiple stores. Highly recommend. Lots of parking. And easy access. Can get a little lost inside the first few times. Here is a funny incident. My first time to boardwalk, I actually wound up taking wrong exits at multiple roundabouts and accidentally exiting boardwalk all together. Still have a good laugh about it every once in a while over a drink!

The boardwalk is a great place to go for shopping, due to the large variety of stores, you are sure to find what you need here. Included in the board walk is a splash circle for kids, which is a great place to finish off your day of shopping. The reason I would rate this 4/5 is because despite all of the stores which would appeal to children, the variety of certain products is very limited.

Crazy traffic in and out of the parking lot. I would suggest staying away unless you feel like going through a dozen roundabouts. Otherwise it's a place with a lot of variety and even a small water park for kids in the summer.

The boardwalk has a good variety o everything you need. You can essentially find everything here. You have everything from restaurants, beauty supply, clothing, shoes, home decor, maternity, dollar store, bulk store, hardware, lingerie, banks, movies, walk in, bloodwork, physio, groceries and the list goes on. The traffic is average and there is enough parking that you will always find parking. Granted it may not always be close parking. Literally everything you can think of is here or will be soon. Although there are no bathrooms that I know of apart from inside the various establishments.

It's a great shopping centre. All new buildings and kept clean. My only complaint is the smell in the air that comes from the landfill just behind it can be really disgusting and ruin your shopping experience, especially since it is an outdoor shopping mall.

Went to Penningtons. I usually just shop for the sales. They tend to cater to the younger crowd with their styles but i do find things sometimes. Not too many places selling clothes for the 50+ crowd who are a little bigger. Usually the staff is very helpful but the clerk on this trip didnt know where to find what i was looking for even when i brought a page from the website showing that they had it in stock.

Just about everything and anything on your shopping list can be found at the Boardwalk. Especially like that they have a swim pad for kids to enjoy during the summer. Good location to go on a shopping trip. We regularly shop at the Walmart there. Up to 7 months ago I was shopping at Thymes Maternity which is a great store for maternity and nursing clothes. My son and husband also go to the Sportsclips there and the ladies are very pleasant and do a great job on their hair.
