Dollarama in Port Hawkesbury does carry some great things customers need but, the staff never seems to smile and the manager Veronica is not the friendliest,either.Less than five years ago,I walked into this store and asked Veronica where the tarps were? I asked her nicely and she was so rude and nasty and actually raised her voice to me! I should have reported her to the corporate main office for verbal harassment.THAT'S A GOOD WAY TO LOSE A CUSTOMER. I think her personality is not manager like and i think they need a better manager.Maybe,then the employees will be happier and smile. They need to widen the aisles more and have more cash registers,too.

Outrageously bad! Greedy! Forcing customers to use self-checkout by threatenning to take 10 minutes to get a cashier! Sorry, but they do not pay us shoppers to work the checkiout, so we are not doing their work for them. We are now shopping exclusively at the Dollar Store downtown Picton and are very happy to give them our business and our recommendation. Dollarama have crossed the line - It was bad enough that they more than tripled prices on things and they do not allow you to return items that are defective. They are taking advantage of seniors and the poor who depend on them due to low income. But this greedy grab is just too much and I suggest everyone shop at other stores instead.

Short lady with glasses maybey 5,3, curly hair and slightly bigger watch out for her she's blatantly over powered with judgmental attitude and superior to us lowly races. Horribly ran and give a little power to any simplton and they try to overstep and allow there privlage to get to there head. Went to go into this store no one else was in it and she stops me and tells me to wait for NOTHING AND ALLOW HER KIND TO GO AHEAD OF ME. They may hire minorities to work for them but still they show that it makes a difference it matters what colour you are no matter where it goes now and this Dollarama is no better.

I absolutely adore Dollarama!! Obviously cheap and are always at full stock! If you need something from Dollarama that you usually get there, 9.5 times out of 10 it will be in stock when needed again unlike most places who simply don't order the amount they know they will need or, are just too lazy to restock making it unavailable until next shift, next day or, even next week!!! Love this place!!!

Great place, 20 dollars on hand to spend? Its like a paradise. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. With so many different helpful things. Jars, cooking wear, variety of hair, body products, kids toys, you name it. The only thing i could complain about is that there was a rainvow metal knife there one day that i wanted but had no money for, and the next couple times after that, it was nowhere to be seen.

The staff seems under paid at this location. They did not let me enter the store 5mins before closing at 7:55pm and I even told her that I just needed to grab one quick item (Usually the case for people entering last minute). She says “sorry the store is at capacity” i waited 2mins as a person exited at 7:57pm and she still denied entry (without any reason). Im never coming back to this location, I’m sad as this used to be my local goto store!

The manager who works at this location in Port Colborne was very rude and did not want to exchange the wrong phone charger that I accidentally bought 2 minutes after I left the store. We are talking a difference in a couple of millimeters in size. The young girl who worked there tolled me she can not refund me but my manager has the power to refund me since they didn't have my proper size charger. The young girl told me my manager is on break so you will have to wait until she come back from break so I waited for the manager to come back from break. Earlier in the parking lot I noticed I got the wrong size one as my charger needs the bigger charger as I have a newer cell phone. We are talking a few milimeter difference. The manager did not want to refund me my money or exchange it. As you can see the package was not even opened. I buy lots of things here as I live down the street. I will now buy all my things at another dollar store ( No Dollarama). I won't buy anything anymore from this dollar store ever again. All I wanted was a simple exchange to my right size phone charger. They will lose more with me not being a returning client that's for sure. This happened in the evening when they we not even busy at all. I guess I am used to buying thing in stores that don't give you any problem to exchange or return an item. Especially when the item is not even opened. Even treasure hunt or Canadian tire that is in the same area would let you exchange or refund you and item you bought 2 minutes after you left the store. Don't sell phone chargers that are minimal in size where I can't tell the difference unless I bring my charger inside the store to compare the size. Horrible experience and horrible company policy that they won't even exchange an item like this one. It's not like I am buying underware. This item will now sit in my house to collect dust as I can not ever use it. (DON'T BUY THESE TYPES OF ITEMS HERE AS THERE ARE NO EXCHANGES AT DOLLARAMA)

Dollarama has the basic things for a very good price. Usually if you don't want something that is Macy's quality, you would go here. One thing that I took one star away from is the fact that it doesn't exactly have everything. Like I said, the basic things. It would be nice if Dollarama could introduce a new brand of stores where the stores are double the size, sell everything that you would find at a department store store, and still have that great price.

This store has alot of neat and cheap stuff for sale, but I find the aisles way too narrow and small, I'm a big guy (tall 6'7", not a big stomach, lol) and if I come up to someone (or more than one person) it's easier I find to just turn around an d go back out the way I came instead of trying to get around them. Also I find alot of times they will only have 1 person working the cash and the line ups build up incredibly quickly. Now they will call in extra cashiers when they notice sometimes, but sometimes they dont notice, or they call someone that's on their break or that just doesnt come...so for me the line up is definitely the worst part of this place.

Pretty good selection of cards, gift bags, craft supplies, seasonal decorations, some stationary, office and school supplies, electronic accessories, household, personal items, snacks, grocery items, etc. Dollarama is more of a discount store since items are often much more than a dollar. Not sure if this might be the biggest version of the store or not. They don't always have the lowest prices. Some items, like small button cell batteries, are in the checkout isle. Size I needed were out of stock.

Many products carried by Dollarama are absolutely regularly useful or great to have something like the odd seldom used tool to that costs more in other stores than you would spend on it in. I a spent $700.00 in two days in two visits on my mobility device when Walmart closed and since then it's still the best local downtown store for decent quality and Brand products.

It's always really clean in here and the merchandise is usually quite tidy. There's the odd time that there's a small mess from customers screwing up the display. They usually have everything stocked up pretty good. Last time I was there, they were low on picture frames so I have to change up my DIY project but overall I love coming here for lots of DIY materials!

I really like the Dollarama in Picton, it has so much merchandise at such great prices. I especially like it for greeting cards and candy. The staff is helpful when you see them in the aisles but there's no checkout so they want you to check out yourself which I don't agree with.

Pretty good, quick easy gifts for kids around times like Easter. Especially younger kids that like breaking stuff and that way you're not putting alot of money in and your kids still have a blast. As far as stock goes, great store. But no check out cashiers!!! Self check out only! Hate that! Not all of your clients want to work for you as we're spending money in your store. It's not convenient and you're adding to unemployment. Replacing people at a crucial time when people need jobs is a greedy business decision. Lest we forget, you are indeed saving money - direct to your bottom line on the backs of your customers.
