I love my city. Pretty good downtown that has a deep rooted culture of homeless people unfortunately. Having said that, my wife and I would never move and love the quirkyness that Peterborough has to offer.

Not sure why the city has decided to close lanes on the main downtown streets, but they have made downtown terrible, worse than ever. Businesses closed, garbage all over, tent cities ugh.....city council should be trying to fix the downtown area, but instead they have made it dramatically worse. Sad.

Mark Sedgwick

Best place to people watch. You'll be highly entertained. Don't forget to visit all the fantastic shops like Sprinkles and Naked Chocolate

John Crossley

I love downtown shopping. The unique shops, hard working owners and friendly atmosphere. The only downside, parking

Meredith Richmond

The Peterborough DBIA works hard to promote & advocate for downtown businesses. Their volunteer board & committee members should be recognized for their contribution to our community. The DBIA is In a position that can be easily criticized by outsiders, so I wanted to take a minute to say 'good job' and keep doing what you do!

Some of the hardest working and kindest shop owners I've ever met! I can get everything I need in Downtown Peterborough, including all my Christmas shopping, entertainment and food! No need to support anything other than local business. What I really love is the age demographic of shop owners - all young entrepreneurs following their passions - each shop is unique. During the COVID19 lockdown, the Downtown Business Association worked miracles in enabling us the public to buy gift cards, order food, order anything we needed really to help keep these businesses afloat and succeeding, despite such great challenges. Thank you for everything you do shop owners and Downtown Peterborough!

Nice small downtown, walkable; welcoming shop keepers who I think really appreciate business in these tough times. The ongoing bridge project slows traffic, but the detour isn't too bad. One disappointment was that in mid/late August ('21), Harlow's pub (our go-to place in town) had no employees wearing masks & tables are pretty close. It's as if people think Covid has gone away--it hasn't. Really a nice place other than no-masks. In other eateries & shops we went to, employees were still using masks. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit!

Wonderful, creative business owners! I sent a gift card to one local restaurant for Mother's Day. It was easy to do and arrived on time in the mail. Maybe an idea for Father's Day too!

There's too many sketchy people downtown Peterborough now. I'm almost uncomfortable to go there now. Also, parking is horrible. I'm local and I hope this is improved someday. I just try to avoid downtown Peterborough whenever I can.

The HEART of the city! To keep this heart beating, it's important to continue supporting our downtown through these trying times. The site makes it so easy and the gift cards were shipped right to my door with lovely notes from the owners and staff <3

Going down hill fast with the current counsel. NO Christmas decorations at all this year on the Light standards NOT ONE. Now they want to shut down our iconic fountain this is talked about for years after they have seen it. Gimme a break. Who knows when they are going to get to repairing Charlotte and Simco St.s. the timing for this project is probably tied to the creation of the new needle / sleeping and Green Space -(LOL) beside the old post office on Charlotte St.
