We stop at the LCBO when in Ontario because of Food and Drink magazine they provide free of charge. The stores offer a wonderful selection of beers, wines and liquors which are quite similar to MB Liquor Marts but there are several beverages that we can only find at the LCBO. The magazine is really well done and only offered in Ontario LCBO locations. It is also available online but our family is old school when it comes to reading glossy magazines looking for food and drink beverages. Staff at LCBO like in MB are always well trained, very helpful and always friendly. I find prices in ON to be about avg 5% cheaper than same items in MB.

It's a space full of booze. I'm not sure why I'm bothering with this? I'll give 5 stars to any large space filled with booze, no other details matter. Grumpy staff? Who cares, look at all the alcohol! Don't have the particular bottle of poncy wine I was looking for? So what!? There's a whole aisle just for tequila! Hey, maybe if they didn't have a fairly large, well-stocked cold room full of beer, I might be persuaded to give it 4 stars... but they do have such a room, attached to the aforementioned bigger room full of booze. I might try and hack Google so I can start giving any place which is a big room full of booze 6 stars. But until then, I'll have another drink and be glad to my bones that there's so much alcohol very nearby. It is very comforting to know that I can walk in any direction and within 20 minutes I can be on my way to oblivion, forgetting all my responsibilities and caring only about what my doctor said about my liver test results last month. But a couple tequila shots pushes those uncomfortable thoughts behind an agave veil and life is happy and good again.

It's a liquor store, so it's basically heaven. Can find beers that Manitoba doesn't have, because cash is king for the Provinces. It's actually sad that I have an easier time importing beer from BC to another country than shipping it to Manitoba. Shame on you Provinces for being so flipping greedy.

Can usually find what I'm looking for. The staff are fairly knowledgeable and have made some good recommendations for trying new things. I do find they run out of stock more often than the Keewatin location, but I understand they are the only LCBO downtown and can only support so much business.... especially since a lot of other reviewers don't seem to realize there are other places to buy liquor in Kenora.

Love this place. Beer and all booze prices are marked as tax included. So no ambush at the cash register and .. imported beer is about $1 cheaper per can ...500 ml... than Mb. So about $2.10 for a premium imported can of beer .. taxes in.. sweeeeeeet
