Northmart is infamous for overpriced poor quality food, and that is exactly what you get.

It has much of what you need it's just priced for the North so don't be sticker shocked. I actually found the prices of winter clothing and boots were great quality and priced extremely competitively and some even less than southern cities.

Iqualuit's main grocery store. Watch yourself here as the prices for regular grocery store items is sky-high! It's not entirely their fault as everything does need to be flown or boated in. The store is clean and spacious.

Northmart isn't bad; it's clean and typically well stocked. Their prices are higher than other stores in town, and they're not very involved in the community. I only buy meat and sugar here because they are less expensive than at other stores.

Excellent local northern chain grocer that's usually well stocked for groceries but a little lacking in other merchandise. Prices are generally comparable, but those who shave the dollar may want to shop around . Its nice to have a Tim Horton's Express, but they don't take Tim's cards. Freezer section is one of the largest in town as is produce section. Shop daily to catch specials.

Grocery store and general goods provider. There clothing department is tiny, online shopping has killed the retail section of the store. Very poor selection of clothing. Double check all fresh product and best before dates, and expiration dates. Often have to pick through all the vegetable to find the least mouldy one.

I like that they have different kinds of meat that is not frozen and that they have fresh vegetables and fruits. Pork is really cheap but the meats are very expensive

Customer service is not one of their strongest qualities. Forget the pleasantries if you are not white or Inuit. Since it's the only major store in the territory, you have no other option than to shop there.
