Very worried about the security in this mall. I was working in the area and saw a big white security guard with 2 other guards. They were verbally assaulting a media member for coming in to interview. He told the media under the properties …

Love going here, always find a good deal!

There are some cute shops. Suzy Shier, Pharma Plus, Roots, LCBO liquor store, Landmark cinemas, Hamilton Farmers Market, Hamilton Public Library, TD Canada Trust, Lottery Hut, Dollerama, Coles book store, three cell stores. There is a food court with Burger King, KFC/Taco Bell is under renovation. Coffee shops Tim Horton's and Country Style Donuts. A grocery store called Nations. There is underground parking

Matt Arnold

Pretty good mall in Hamilton. Quite a few stores, has a few restaurants throughout the mall, and a food court but the food court could use a couple more restaurants. Sheraton hotel, movie theatre, and Nations which is a multi-cultural grocery store with lots of different options of food to chose from which is awesome ????

Lucy Staats (Lucy)

I love the theaters there, definitely comfy and I leave satisfied. I just wish there daily hours made a little bit more sense. 6pm is a litle early to close the food court and other shops in my opinion. It is a nice mall though.

Mo Alecia

The place is nowhere near as bad as the things I’ve heard about it. Looks pretty decent to me has a good selection of stores and food court looks fine. Can easily access nations an the farmers market as well.

Angel Majorie Brown

I am prepared for the day and will not be able to manage the rest of the week. Thank goodness for Jackson where I took the tennis class to get access to my video game and then compare it with my friends on Facebook twitter and then use the results for a volunteer event

Linda Reid

I go for the farmers market which I love.Lots of fresh food and specialty items.

Rainz eyez

Very hard to find decent parking unless you park underground. It's free parking underground depending on your shopping in nations food store or movie. I used to go to this mall all the time until I started driving. Landmark cinema in this mall is most of most fav place to go for movies due to recliner seats. Lots of memories in this mall!

Carolyn Brown

I love the as seen on TV gadgets store in Jackson Square. I bought the H20 steam mop for half the cost of what the TV charges. I would like to suggest that if you go to Jackson Square bring a friend, since the pandemic people are resorting to terrible ways of life. There are many many great stores in Jackson Square. Your pretty much guaranteed to get whatever you need for your home in this mall.

Safarichey

first day hair salons able to be open. Total Image. Great service as always

Yesterday, around 530pm my mother in law walked up to the security desk to stamp her parking ticket after shopping at Nations. The person working didnt acknowledge her as he was too involved with his scratch ticket. After a couple of …

Good food at Nation's. Good shoe deals at Canadian Shoe Outlet!

Sepehr Nademi

Very busy, I Loove this mall with interesting stores especially with "Nations" which is a very cool Chinese market... ????????❤️♥️

Rahul Vyas

Some great stores. Also if you spend $30 at nations you will get free parking for 2 hours.

Tomas Ruhland

The nation's smelled like durian fruit and the clerk's were rude. Very cool area but sketch at the same time

Marshe Reluao

Nation's Food Store, Farmer's Market and Dollarama are here, hence the only reason we go to this mall. It's connected to asheraton hotel but that's about it. Not really the type of mall for full on shopping.

Chris Plaola

This mall has drastically improved in recent years. Much of the mall is newly renovated, and the lighting has been improved greatly. Jackson square has most of the "typical mall stores" as well as some local and specialty shops. The mall is always busy and alive. It's great to see this mall, as well as the attached office towers being renewed to their full potential.

Brian Konkle

Great little mall sad that it's always packed with hardly anyone caring about social distance or personal space

orange_VAP22

I love going downtown and just walking into Jackson Square it jsut gives me a good vibe and I really like the movie theatre there most people just go for the seats but I honestly really like going there for the surround sound and the big screen

Rajvi Raninga

Bus route accessible Big furniture store with good parking space Offers limited time deals Clean store Assistive staff

Leah M

A lot of empty stores in the one part of the mall. Can only imagine what it looked like in its hay day.

Kruti Paneria

Can only go when needed. Right in the heart of Hamilton but quite shabby.

Nicole Brown

Pretty sparse in terms of both people and stores but I managed to get everything I needed in a pretty fast fashion

Krackify

Not too many store and not well known store at Jackson square. They should add stores like H&M, footlocker. Winners, West 49... etc so people could go and purchase.

Abubakr Mohammed

It was a decent mall I wish they had some seating space after all that walking. It's still a nice shopping experience for those who would like it.

Nicholas Brownell

The visit was good, friendly staff and dentist. They where quick with painless examination and clear with there estimate in tooth extraction removals... Removals: 71201-Removals, Erupted Teeth Complicated -$260 72331-Removals, Residual Roots, Bone Tissue

Seb

great atmosphere, can't help but love this place. everything you need. best mall in canada? maybe

Sonja Black

Went to Nations. Great store. But social distancing or mask wearing was not enforced at all and people were packed like sardines.

Ramji Yussuf

A good mall in Hamilton, and it's located downtown, Hamilton. It's one of the best malls I know.

Joshua¡

It use to be a very nice mall. However, it's nothing that the mall did personally I think it's just become the type of people that are in the area that make it not a great experience. A lot of loitering, begging and people constantly coming up to you asking for everything. Other than that five stars.

Da Family Entertainment

If you want to get your steps in while picking up a few things all in one place, then Jackson Square is your place. From grabbing a bit to eat, something to wear, a new pair of shoes, sending off a package, to picking up medications, to dental, even an international grocery store.. You can find it in Jackson Square.

Varun T

Not exactly the best mall ever, but very functional and serves it's purpose. Easy access to the central library, the farmers market, the first Ontario center and Hamilton city center. Banking, food court, bars and restaurants, coffee, dentistry, massage therapy, chiropractor, shopping, travel agent, dry cleaning, tailoring, post office, etc. All under one roof. I wish they had an osteopath there too :)

Scott Bouchard

Convenient shopping mall with everything one needs (If your not a picky type of person) it does tend to get busy which is good for the mall. I recommend new visitors and residents to support it. And outside of the mall entrances you will see people who are not in other people eye equals but most of not all are nice and there is nothing wrong with them even when they ask for change. But yes Jackson Square is cool.

Steve Logie

Wonderful staff...feel like family

Peter Fiee

Dingy, rundown and a bit smelly. Lockdown hasn't helped matters. Not the best "mall", but it's smack in the middle of downtown and hence accessible. The number of shuttered businesses due to low traffic can be a bit depressing too. *sigh*...

Andrew Beaver

Always seem to be able to find what I need here, no matter what it is. Great food court as well! And the farmers market, what's not to like?

Katherine K

Oh lovely Jackson Square! Nice mall to have in the heart of Hamilton. Has nice convenient stores inside, very clean and good security on board to make sure we are safe in the mall - much needed!! Always something is happening at JSq.

Sara P

Very few cool stores and too many over zealous characters.

Wendy Lavigne

Always shop here,its great????

Lynn Douglas

This mall has been seriously affected by the pandemic but is starting to bounce back a bit. However the administration pays no attention at all to accessibility for people with disabilities. The last several times I have been there and parked in underground near Thomson building the escalator from garage to food court was not functional. It worked once in at least 10 visits. There is no down escalator here, only up and no elevator. Today the escalator was broken again and then we tried the entrance to the Thomson building from parking garage. That elevator was also non functional. Propped open with wood beams. Only alternative was stairs which was almost impossible for me. If I had still been in my wheelchair or walker I would have been stranded in the parking garage. Shame on you Jackson Square administration, you can do a lot better.

Lucy Darlene EVANS

It was open a lot stores to l went to dollar store and pay bills it was OK

Thai Takeout

Love this mall in downtown. Gotten cleaner and better through the years. Lots of choices and great food! Nation's is clutch.

Jeanette Pattison

Great indoor mall. Not all stores are open but most are. Good variety of stores and services.

dave antunes

You get exactly what you expect at Jackson Square. The food court is nice but the way it's been arranged for vaccine passport checks is kind of silly. But Jackson Square is always a fun place to be.

Michael Archer

Mazy comfy good food court and bookstore lots different phone stores.

Valerie Thomas

I enjoy going here when I don't want to be around a lot of people it's less volume compared to other malls/ shopping centers

Everett Nagy

It was a pleasure shopping and the shop workers were very helpful and friendly

Iman Metwally

A lot of stores are transfered to Lim ridge mall it just work for decuments.

Patrick BS

The woman SECURITY GUARD, in her 50s or more I am not sure and Caucasian near NATIONS. She seems MISERABLE, I gave her my receipt to get a free parking from Nations. She didn’t say a word at all, a very sad human being. Either she didn’t like her job or she was prejudice to me cause I am a visible minority.

Jennifer Hannah

Was able to stop in Rexall. It wasn't crowded. I found some good deals while earning points.

Nicole Aridana

Decent spread of stores and services, but the lack of cell reception and lack of parking brings this rating down

Dane Harris

Closes way too early. Kind of useless for those of us who actually work for a living

Allison Fraser

The mall is alright but needs updating. While walking inside its very similar to a bunker which may block cell signals and people new to it can get lost fairly easily, the only real benefit any more is that it's attached to the Sheraton hotel but for the average hamiltonian it is a place of little interest or benefit in visiting.

Mike Rozon

Chaotic and usually see many walks of life there. Not sure why they don't have more hand sanitizing stations by exits/entrances

Robb Higenell

Great mall has library and market including grocery store And liquor store

Robert Beaudry

It's Jackson Square, if you like it you like it. It's a big part of Hamilton, I don't see my rating it making a big difference. I'm I'm the like it camp btw, been going there since I was a kid.

J L

Over the years, Jackson Square has changed alot. The mall definitely has some good stores but would like to see bigger brand name stores like, best buy mobile, body shop, American eagle, EB games, kernels popcorn, Williams pub, etc. The mall already has a wonderful layout, just need brand name stores to fill it up..then the experience will be more enjoyable.

Colby Akzarian

Some good shops, lots of not so good shops. Location is right in the heart of downtown

Ja Fe

Country style, washroom only for customers, so I have to buy something lol

Nick D.

Still has that weird smell jackson has always had.

Lloyd Hitchcock

Ghost town, boarded stores, a few remaining, struggling as best they can but happy to see the food court is open with my favourite japanese fast food restaurant.

Rebecca Lang

Very sad to see all of the empty store fronts. But very happy that I can still get the best pedicure, downstairs in the lower level.

Caitlyn Bond

Walked through and such a variety of stores and always stuff on sale. With not alot of people inside it's actually nice and affordable parking.

Lydia K. Revik

I would like to believe that Jackson Square is trying to do their best to protect their patrons from Covid. I would feel a lot safer if the security guards in the main control booth by the library were wearing them. Every single time I walk …

H Contreras

I am used to buying in other stores but this store has everything at a great price

Holly Walton

Allan and Sai were amazing to deal with when coming back to transfer my data. If you ever need a phone go to these two gentleman. They are a tag team duo. Also special thanks to Austin for taking the time to helping me out with my phone and tablet and getting me the appropriate devices for me.

hersel loft

Very quiet now,not many people but it should be better, nice place to keep cool on a hot day

Ontario Firs

I give this place 2 stars because: 1) The short hours of service- most of the stores close at 6PM rather than later, say at 9 or 8 PM. Yale Properties Limited and Manulife Financial, the joint owners of the mall, needs to update the mall out of the 1990s. This is Hamilton 2021, over 2 decades since the 90s recession hit Hamilton. 2) The place should have more upscale retail, not discount shops or low end retail. I dont get why the place has to cater to some of the most trashy and classless people of Hamilton and surrounding area. 3) Yale Properties Limited of Montreal needs to do more upkeep of the entire property complex including the attached Stelco Tower and the building attached that currently houses the McMaster University Continuing Education. I see the edges of the steel facades of both said structures rusting and decaying to the elements. It doesnt look like joint owners have done anything to maintain these outdoor facades in over a decade. This review is more directed to Yale Properties Limited and Manulife Financial, the joint companies who own the entire complex. Yale Properties Limited, your upkeep of dystopic and empty Jackson Square is far from your promised liveliness in 1972 when you tore down a great deal of olde downtown Hamilton for this pathetic and failed modernist structure. It is embarrassing to the visitors of downtown Hamilton.

Ron Cachero

Has a decent variety of shops and places to eat. If your a sneaker head check out Laced.
