You will be able to see the information of people who buy the services and products of Carlingwood Shopping Centre (Mall) around Gatineau area (Canada).
Nowadays the firm receives a score of 4 over 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is high, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to value when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Mall belongs to the category of Shopping mall.
Carlingwood is a decent mall with lots of stores, including a food court. I like the variety of stores and it is easy to find what you are looking for. There is plenty of parking, although crossing from the lot into the store can be a hassle when the buses are present. Luckily, there are plenty of entrances so you never have to walk very far before getting inside. There are still events held here in the public areas, which is great for the kids. A recent example was a presentation by Little Ray's Reptile Zoo. It makes shopping a little more fun, if you aren't in a hurry.
Decent selection of stores. Love the fact that it has stuff for kids to do (rides, the train, à toddler playground). One star off for lack of water fountains.
I like this mall, it's in a decent location and has most things I need.
My main complaint with this mall is it is always way overheated. I'm too warm within minutes of arrival which sucks the life right out of me and I leave before getting anything done.
A great place to walk in the winter...with all the beautiful live plants, I feel like I'm outside. Lots of fun stores to visit too! I miss the Swiss Pastries....someone should open a new bakeshop!

Its too bad the space for toddlers is so strictly monitored. We wont likely be back anytime soon as my 2 year old is too tall and now bawls her little eyes out everytime because we have to tell her no.
Clean! Smaller mall but very nice
Good mall with all the necessities like food court. To get to RBC er you have to enter the mall. The side door is only ATM. Sears is soon closing.
Nice mall to visit especially during Christmas time????
Nice clean shopping mall could use more stores of interest but overall it's nice pretty much will cover most of your shopping needs.
helped me see & gave me lemon diet pepsi. also got to listen to loona in my car and jam out publicly without anyone looking at me weird. +1 to the mall staff! nno reason in particular my mom just works her e
I love Mélanie Lyne!! Beautiful clothes, great staff.
This is a great little mall with decent stores, a good selection of food and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere; it almost feels like you are walking into a chalet in the mountains. The washrooms are well-maintained and the transit stops are much more reasonably placed when compared to other malls in Ottawa. I am very disappointed however with the lack of men's clothing stores in the mall, which has been even further exacerbated by the departures of American Eagle Outfitters and Sears. I am hopeful that this can be corrected by the mall's management in the near future.
Went to Carlingwood just to burn time, with no shopping planned, but ended up scoring on a great deal. Goes to show that Carlingwood has something for everyone.
Stores are beginning to lose their relevance. Getting left behind in their bygone era. Should fold in a couple years of think
Has a warmer atmosphere compared to most malls. It's a full-sized mall, but not huge.
This is a good mall with a large selection of stores. The food court has something for everyone. Tappa Hair Salon and the Loblaws are the 2 main places visited there.
Nice place to shopping and good people work there to help customers. Appreciation.
Calm and relaxing. I can hit up linked, dollarstore and my back all at once. Very convenient.
Decent shopping mall, convient with bus stations, tons of free parking, has everything you might need, but nothing special. Usually pretty quite. Elderly seem to love this place, it's also convient because it's all on one floor.
It's not necessarily the biggest shopping mall and it definitely doesn't have every store in it, but it does have most stores you would be looking for and is always relaxing to navigate through. Unlike big shopping malls, this mall is only one level, and people, for the most part aren't rushing around everywhere frantically while practically bumping into each other which make for a pretty enjoyable and calm environment. If I could give this half stars I would even put it at around 3.5 stars.
We go every year to see Santa. We have since my oldest was born. Always a great experience. The front parking lot is a bit messed up now with construction, but the other 2 lots are ok.
This small mall in the neighborhood have all the amenities. Bank, groceries phone service kiosks, pizza and also accessible via OC transpo. The bus stop is right inside the mall and bus drops you on the door. Very convenient in wintertime. Although late night it gets very silent because away from the road.
Nice big friendly mall. Sears and Loblaws suck at that location though, could benefit from a proper grocery in the mall
A lot more beautiful on the inside. So many stores. Great shopping experience.
I love this mall its my favorite mall. I used to live in the west end now I live father east and I woild drivr down just to visit this mall!
It is the first "mall" we went to since the lockdown. Empty sanitizer bottles and people coming in not wearing masks. We left shortly thereafter.
I've gone to this mall since I was a little boy and I'm sad to say it's slowly deteriorated from an inviting little mall to likely a mall no more in the future. I honestly give this mall maybe 2 more years of existence. A lot obvously has to do with Sears going belly up and online shopping taking over. The quality of stores is poor honestly these last few years...it might have the worst eb games in Ottawa being the size of a minivan with little inventory. It's also become a hangout I've found and that's perfectly fine but generally takes away from it being inviting to the consumer who is there to shop.
Carlingwood Mall has been a landmark in the west end of Ottawa since before my family moved to the area in '94! The shops have evolved but the feeling of the little big mall has remained. Seasonal events, unique kiosks, a great food court, and a wide array of stores await your visit! What are you waiting for?
I'm not a big fan of store selection there (though Swiss Pastries there are awesome - I'll very much recommend it to anyone!). It feels more like a club at a retirement home than a shopping mall.
This has all the amenities of the mall that I grew up loving, but sadly no hardware store. The Y is great for a workout and have friendly and helpful staff. Also recommend getting a #1 shaver hairdo done at Francisco's.
It wss a small shopping centre . You can not find classy cloths or really unique stuff in there. It has Tim Hortons and Subway. Parking is free.
Not too many stores opened.
Good stores dont want to see this mall close
Lovely mall with lots of original stores
Updated food court is nice. Nursing room in washrooms off of the food court is awesome for new moms.
Most horrible security I have ever had to deal with they are rude and disrespectful and do not respect social distancing. Y’all need to hire new security ????
All good, except Loblows food store is a jewelry shop when it comes to food prices, why everything is 10 to 30% more than what it's elsewhere ?
Loblaws is still open which is very helpful. but most stores are closed thankfully!
Was, very good & well organized
I heard you liked women's clothing stores
Good mall, aimed at seniors. - although a ton of cellphone stores and the Source (electronics) that seem willing to give better prices due to lower overall sales.
I still love Carlingwood shopping center regardless of the construction, every store is still open and operating. ????????
Definitely a mall for seniors, which we are! Haha! A great place to be out of your residence and out of the cold. There's Tim Hortons and Second Cup for a brew. Loved the Senators store. We enjoyed window shopping and New York Fries in the food court.
The mall is a nice place. Your typical surbuban mall.
Clean . Everything is near by.
Often have great activities for kids
I hate malls and this place did not change my mind.
I love this mall, dollar store is great, i like Coles book store. I love the drug store. :) and i love the purdys/tim hortons/ body shop/ laura secord :)
Excellent selection of stores. But a little bit problematic parking due to all the exterior construction going on.
Went to Stokes, Bentley and Cleo. Everyone was very helpful and I came away with what I wanted
Great selection of stores. Clean mall all on one level. I am giving this mall a 1 star ⭐️ rating because of their tenant Pet World that Carlingwood to supports. Horrible pet store that continues to sell puppies from puppy mills. Do the right thing Carlingwood by evicting this tenant. Humanity & compassion before profit please....
Always a great place to hangout, shop, and eat.
I looove this mall. Compared to many other malls that feel really over-commercial, this mall has a homey feel to it. Never change that. Oh and... if you play Pokémon Go in here, bring a lot of Pokéballs ;)
Carlingwood is presently (fall 2019) under construction in the parking lot. There still seems to be ample parking available. I like the community feeling at the Carlingwood mall. There are walking groups meeting in the mornings and it's a gathering place. There are lots of comfortable places to sit. Some of my favorite stores are Purdy's chocolates, Second Cup coffee, Kernels Popcorn and Claire de Lune. Several services are available as well - dental, hearing clinic, cpap, optometrist. One advantage of this mall is that it is all on one level, with the exception of Dollarama.
Nice place for the size. Found out the mall donates the space, and supplies for the present wrapping to benefit charity. I was delighted. I can't ipp
Cute shopping centre. Something of everything! Clean and generally quiet!
Looks like a small town mall, what can I say.
Great place! Friendly people. Nice store selection. Great food court. All around great experience!
Not a big mall, but has a good variety of stores and boutiques. Always clean and well maintained. Good location too; just 1.5 km from either Maitland or Woodroffe Queensway exits.
Carlingwood has Champs, get over there and get some new sneakers
Came here specifically for the store "Unique Accessories" which has great jewelry, fascinators, hats and purses. Nice staff who will help you choose the right look!
It's a cozy mall with enough stores and a decent cafeteria. Mall have been renovated and have a good friendly crowd. Not too much options but okay for the essential shopping.
I used to work at the travel agency at this mall, many moons ago. This mall even 13 years ago was like going back in time to the 1960s.
Wonderful little mall. The one main floor is wonderful for the elderly to walk around. However many shops have been closed due to covid
It was very pleasant and lots of assorted retail outlets. The Mall is so well situated in the City quite a few choices of transportation. I enjoyed my day and will return on a more regular basis.
I love this little mall!! Carlingwood Shopping center is a small, yet well occupied mall. It has a great balance of odd shops, specialty shops, restaurant, a grocery store, pet shop and more. Seems that you can always find new traveling venders at one of the many rentable kiosks. I always find something neat while visiting this mall.
Great mall with many good stores.
Great mall but definitely needs a remodel. Been going there for 25 years.
I can’t remember the last time I visited this mall if I even ever have ???? but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice little shopping centre with some good stores and a adequate food court. The covid thing has really limited the amount of seating and that’s really not convenient. I’m sure they could open up some more and still be within safety standards. Hopefully it will improve down the road. ????☺️
Christmas Artisan Special weekend event.
Great selection of stores. I went to the pharmacy, dollar store and food court and had an outstanding experience altogether.
This shopping centre is small but good to buy some things.I like it.
The Christmas Train was a huge success. My kids loved it.
From where I live it's quite far however the long travel to get there was worth it. And they have store for only nurses and other health professionals but NURSES! That was my safe haven.
Near home has lots of stores you wouldnt expect like eb games. All the phone stores. Newyork fies. Jimmy the greek. Etc. Its a Little treasure
If you are looking for a mobile phone or a new phone plan, THIS is THE place! Greatest mobile shop concentration anywhere in Ottawa. Also, well worth a visit because of the Senator's store.
should have apple store
Lots of available free parking
The is a very accessible mall and great for senior's for the most part. There are some shops that are a disaster but the mall itself was made for walkers and people with mobility issues. Everything is even ground and there are couch stops throughout.
Regularly use the 24 hr Shopper's. Large store, very large selections of different products, including grocery section.
It's a great place to shop and the food court is really relaxing
Carlingwood is alright. Not my favorite place to shop. It has a Record Shop that I like to stop in once in a while at and that's about it. It has a restaurant named after it that's alright but could be better.
The mall I've been going to since I was a kid so I'm biase. I still would rather go to this mall than Hazledean or Westgate! Some stores have closed thanks to the high cost of rent in Westboro and online shopping but that may be the case for all malls.
This mall does not have many stores for selections of product. It's not suited for the younger adult. Better suited for seniors
Be careful of Low quality Chinese made Clothes being sold as if there worth there weight in gold. Try them on first in the change room , its not about if the clothes fit but if the buttons are Defective or paper thin shirts and "Denim".
Just chilling in the Food Court and security kicked me out for not eating when there were many empty tables all around.
This mall makes me sad. There are very few stores and it just seems to have reached the end of its life. Which is too bad because I used to walk here all the time with my babies.
A good place to walk inside of the mall and have some window shopping. But the big part of mall, the old Dear store, is still in construction.
This is literally the worst mall in entire Ottawa Area. Has so very few stores that cater to Males. Most stores here are for older women. Also most customers that go here are senior citizens not my type of Mall that doesn’t cater to my shopping needs.
Nice and cozy mall. Good variety. Not sure what will come after Sears is gone.
10/10 would recommend going to dollarama
Good selection of stores and kiosks, train rides to keep the kids busy, great parking available.
Carling wood Shopping Centre is a respectably appointed mall which, like so many others of its genre struggles to keep retailers as consumer trends evolve. Well kept, and still supported by robust retail operations including pharmacy, jewellery, sports goods, and many more, all augmented by a food hall, Carlingwood is in much better shape than most malls, and a pleasurable experience.
Small mall with a 24 hr Shopper's Drug Mart and a Service Ontario location. I occasionally got to the Kardish natural foods place, but otherwise not much else to see. Photo shop in the basement if you need passport pics.
Always have what I want????
Very sub par mall it's for the older folk that's for sure
A very unfortunate mall. Many businesses end up closing and the selection of stores are sparse. They are currently under renovation/construction so hopefully there will be improvements. The mall is convenient for the many people in that area, including a retirement home.
Always a nice cozy place to shop around.
It's an alright mall. Usually not too crowded, and it is mostly convenient for the neighbourhood crowd.
strong local presence. overgoing Huge changes/ appreciate all stores.glad it is here
The mall is fantastic in my opinion.. it’s clean, up to date lots of retail options. The food court is limited but covers the basics! Pretzel place is gone tho. Christmas season is by far the best time to be at the mall for sure! Very festively

Great for babies and toddlers. This place was a go to for us with a toddler. They have the kids play area free strollers and it's next to the ottawa public library.
I love the atmosphere, especially the angel wings around the mall . It's easy to navigate as well . I love that its expanding as well.
Just like many malls in Ottawa, the Carlingwood Mall is facing challenges, esp with the closing down of Sears. Fortunately, it still has Loblaws, YMCA/YWCA, Rogers, Bell, La Source, CBIC, Tim Horton, Second Cup, Rexall pharmacy, and numerous other commercial tenants big & small that are attracting a constant flow of customers, incl myself. I go there at least once a week, if not more. The mall has ample parking space for visitors. Lighting & security patrols are good at night.
I took my children to the mall this year to see socially distanced Santa, and it was honestly the most AMAZING Santa experience. Extremely COVID conscious and very well laid out. Santa is located in an empty store instead of out in the public hallway. With appointments there is no need for long line ups. The entire experience was just amazing, and we have an iconic 2020 Christmas photo :)
Lots of the usual mall stores and services. Don't miss the Dollarama and Ardene in the basement. Both are huge. The mall is spacious with lots of comfy spots to sit and rest while shopping. Children's activities and senior friendly. Very accessible. Lots of free parking and several buses pass through and stop at 3 locations inside the grounds.
Love the place. I use it as a regular meet up spot for Kijiji sales. Security is very respectful, generally the staff in the mall are happy and have smiles. Mall wifi is excellent also
I love shopping at this mall. The food court has amazing choices of the delicious meals from different food sources and the mall is so clean.
An alright mall. Not to many stores I would shop besides a few. Caters to a large elderly social network. Not a lot of stores teenagers would shop at. If you wanna grab a quick bite to eat or run a few errands its a great mall for that.
Some unique finds but in need of a facelift. Some areas of the shopping centre are darker
Very convenient for the elderly whose knees may not be what they used to as there are hardly any stairs.
Carlingwood Shopping Centre is an amazing mall because it has high quality shops, all kinds of food, and an amazing layout. The mall has a large footprint because it's all on ground level. There is no need for taking stairs, elevators, or escalators. It's really an awesome mall with an amazing vibe. It's a hidden gem in Ottawa, always busy, never a dull moment. They've got a dollar store, a grocery store, a food court, many coffee shops, fine quality chocolate, popcorn, retail, milk shakes, cell phones, jewelry, clothing, Swiss pastries, meat, Sears, plus more. It's a warm, calm, atmosphere with beautiful design.
Meh. Inside is fairly nice. The parking lot today was the worst I've seen in memory (25+ years). Terrible traffic flow and potholes everywhere -- some big enough to easily damage a car. Be careful if driving there.
Single level mall that is easy to navigate. Lots of natural light & plants. Some of the eating areas in the mall have a pleasant sidewalk cafe feel. There are a wide variety of stores for a small mall. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of empty shops. Hopefully renovations to the mall increase business.
Wide selection of appears, sports stores and groceries. Has food court too with great ambience.
Great staff and knowledgeable customer service. Got lots of fantastic stores and retailers.
My closest shopping centre.
Carling wood mall is so beautiful & I love it so much you can find what you looking for & the staff are great and everyone is so nice at Carling wood mall
Small mall. Not a lot to do but it's a good walking mall for quieter times out. Small food court and then a few other food vendors scattered throughout. A good assortment of stores.
This is an old school mall. There are lots of elderly people using the services that are available and socializing. That said you likely can find anything you need here, shocking as that sounds. The stores that are available are not the modern ones like Aritzia and the like but there are lots of good quality things to buy. I don't think this mall would appeal to kids under 20. If you are looking for something specific like kids clothing then this is not the place, minus The Childrens Place there are very few places to get anything for kids, not toys or clothing. Overall, I am always surprised that I find what I am looking for when I go to this mall. Unique Accessories is awesome for kitschy gifts, like hats, handbags, broaches, scarves and costume jewellery.
Even though Sears is gone this is still a great mall with a good mix of stores and businesses
There are no wheelchairs to borrow so I was unable to shop. I had hoped to but clothes at several shops and was very disappointed.
A security guard told us we couldn't eat while we were walking, my wife is 7 months pregnant I don't care about your stupidity she needed to eat period..very unprofessional I don't recommend pregnant lady's to come here due to discrimination
Well organized. Has all the important things you would need. There are convenient street signs that indicate the location of the stores. There is also great parking.
Kind of surprised they're still open all these years, but the mall has some pretty good shops
It's an older mall with nice stores. Everything is smaller and the crowd is mostly retirees from local homes. Probably the largest senior "walker's" club in the morning before the mall opens for regular hours.
Carling wood has lots of clothing stores for women, but hardly anything for men. That place opposite Rexall isn't anything to get excited about.
Stores and there employees save this plac!, I don't think the kandlords' diserve more than 1 star
It is a decent mall with many stores to shop at. There is also news that there will be a new Canadian Tire built there soon. If you don't like the big busy malls, then this is the mall for you. The food court offers a great selection of food with different varieties. The mall has definitely aged well over the years and it will continue to be a convenient place to shop for those who live near it.
Perfect, in and out thanks
But the are doing a major renovation so should get to 5 stars
Can't wait for Canadian Tire to open here. That will make the mall a great place again.
Plenty of parking and very clean... most people that shop here are courteous
Nice mall. Clean. Wide variety of stores including Loblaws and Sears. Easily accessible by transit.
Having everything on one level makes shopping so much easier. Plenty of seating, great selection of stores for both the adult and kid in us!
Lots if empty store fronts. Sad
For how empty it usually is, a surprisingly well-equipped mall. Let's hope it doesn't fall the way of Lincoln Fields. Parking lot needs work; take the bus.
Cozy cute little mall.
Plenty services and not crazy crowded.
This mall has seen better days. It's commonly know as the old people mall. Because that's exactly who you see sauntering around the halls and sitting on the seating. Many of the stores I used to go to have moved out and despite a sad effort to renovate it still looks dated and run down. Buy I will say it is a place where you can sometimes find something nowhere else has... since no one wants to shop there.
Top 3 most depressing malls in the city! I only go because if the scrub store, it used to be nicer, cleaner and there used to be a better store selection. I don't know how they can perk the mall up again but it seems like a bus stop terminal more than a mall.
Love this clean mall, plenty of shops for all ages, free parking & a great selection for food! Bonus, there is a grocery store, Bulk Barn, Tim Hortons & Dollarama :)
This mall is at a good location. Nice & clean. Good selection of stores, and decent food court. Lots of parking spaces. Also convenient for bus goers as well. Just don't try to find a parking here during the last couple of weeks before Christmas.
Great mall
I stumbled here on accidet but its really nice... i like that the bus stop is just in front of it. Its easy to access
Lots of carpet and benches for the elder generation. A few banks and a food court. Tim Hortons is in an awkward place; the line causes hallway traffic. Great Dollarama and many other good shops. Sears is gone now, which was a main reason to go there.
Very good mall with enough space for walk and shopping. Have all kinds of stores ranging from grocery to the health care!!
Carlingwood was much improved today. A lot of folks shopping, and several pop-up shops.
Great mall! It has everything you might need and also has a really tasty food court.
Awesome experience visiting Skeleton Jack
Mall still needs some love but despite everything it has been through they've really stayed well and alive during the pandemic. Lots of renovations did the mall some good.
This mall gets credit for being a bit weird but not quite weird enough. I like walking through it and it has what you need but it needs like a strange sit down restaurant or something. I'll explore deeper and see if I can bump this up.
You have to sign up on there website to complain..So I'll just do it here. On behalf of the people who live very close to the parking lots on carlingwoodmall once a week in the winter times they have the loudest snowplow do there parking lot.. So loud that it wakes me up at 5am in the morning sometimes 2am or 3am since they do over nights.. I understand the need for snowplows.. but if they are driving around in there little pos bobcat from 1970, please find another vehicle to use. This is getting ridiculous. A side from that.. Carlingwood mall is ok.
Great and quite shopping mall
Honestly, I want my local Mall to do well but Carlingwood has taken so long to build a new anchor store that I fear it maybe too late given the changes in the retail space.
Very quiet mall. The mall is layed out in the shape of a rectangle, so stores are very easy to find. It is also only one level which is very convenient for those in a wheel chair or the use of strollers. The only down side is the small selection of stores which are very outdated.
Don't mind it.The mall is a little small. More focused towards seniors. But Champs is great place to shop for shoes. Great deals and the staff are very friendly and helpful
I shop there about 3 times a week .i miss sears but all the other places are very good!
Nice little shopping center. It will be very much better when the construction is finished.
Woow mobile and Mahak highly recommended
Ita under renovation adding a new flagship retailer.
I LOVE CARLINGWOOD MALL! Easy layout to follow... shaped like a big square, and ALL on one level. Lotsa parking and frequent buses. Frequent sidewalk sales and a huge DollaRama in the basement near Rexall.
The place looks like a time machine that brings you back to the 70s. Dated in every single aspect.
Nice, quiet and decent stores. Food court could be better, as it only has a few restaurants
Warm place. You can enjoy sunshine when you sit inside the mall during the day. I think that's why a lot of elder like to stay in there.
Nice and clean mall. Not a whole lot in there, but still a good place to do some shopping and get some groceries.
Ottawa's largest single level mall. Seniors and others love it for the lengthy walks and comfortable public lounge seating areas. Historic Carlingwood Shopping center is modern and vibrant with a large selection of retailers to choose from.
Although this place has little to offer in terms of fashinable women's clothing, or basic clothing for women, it is a great mall if you have young kids! The atmosphere is very relaxed, and there is seating everywhere. There is also enough stores that are intersting enough that it's a nice place to head to when you need to get out of the house. highlights: Toddler play area, Train that goes around the mall during the Christmas holidays, good snack options, Calendar Club that has cute toys
The mall is open for public, the common area is not completely open. Food court and chairs are off limits. But mall provide some single seat chair for short time rest .
Lots of phone stores. The main draw was Sears, which faded over the years and then closed. So there is now a big gap. Will this mall go the way of the dodo bird because of online shopping? Lots of parking!
A relaxed mall which offers just about everything you need and nothing more. The pace is slower here, which is an appreciated change.
Carlingwood Restaurant is popular as is the food court, both of which are kept clean. Do your shopping around before signing any cellular contracts. Same phone and carrier is often $100 cheaper from one of the associate stores around just the corner.
Still clean and pleasant but covid has cut number of open stores and not many places to rest.
Lots of good stores. Very child friendly with many Christmas activities for children such as meeting Santa and riding on a train through the store.
I really like Carlingwood Mall. Love that there is free parking and the mall is bright and clean. There are some stand out stores and little cafés like Purdy's Chocolates and Café Cristal (best lattes ever)! The attendant at the info kiosk was really helpful too! Nice to have a bigger mall in the West End burbs!
The shopping centre contains 120 stores and services on a single enclosed level. The interior hallways are laid out in a rectangle, with secondary branching halls from the six entrances. Offices and services including the management office are located on a small second level in the northwest corner of the building. There are also two small underground sections for some discount stores and the Carlingwood YWCA/YMCA. The stores are a mix of chain stores, small independents, fast food outlets and a restaurant. The largest store is the Loblaws grocery store with an area of 36,451 sq ft (3,386 m2) at the east end of the mall. At the west end of the mall was a long-time Sears Canada location that is now vacant.
Great place to shop and do laps with the Pacesetter club. Train for children. Small play area. Small food court. Full restaurant indoors. Nice coffee selection with Cafe Cristal.
Excellent Mall. lots of parking . a lot of stores. Even a play area for my little guy. Security on site all the time. A mall you can feel safe at and enjoy your all your shopping . Also includes a nice big Loblaws.
Comfortable mall, all one level, great for kids and seniors, nursing facilities, family washroom, customer service with balloons for little ones and strollers you can borrow for free, play area for toddlers.
Great place for retired people will never understand why every cell phone company in Canada has a kiosk in there?
I enjoy the easy layout shopping at Carlingwood, all 1 floor, and varied enough to cover all the bases.
Love the indoor play area for little kids. The train was still running from Christmas and my 15 month old loved it. Clean and full of elderly people on a Thursday morning.
Not as good as it use to be since Sears is gone...
Old style shopping mall. Store selection isn't bad but obviously not the best stores. Definitely in need of a bit of love.
Wonderful little mall
Haven't been by in awhile and nice to see it is still open and lively. Grabbed some dinner after doing some geocaching in the area.
A big mall that is never terribly busy as far as I've seen but has some good stores.
I love how this mall is very convenient for running errands. It has everything from banks, pharmacies, phone booths, specialized shops to cafes and a Loblaws. Not the most lively mall though, especially with the closed down Sears. Nonetheless, the place is clean and organized with lots of free parking areas.
Nice mall. Good for elderly people (and very popular with this demographic) and people with young kids as there are few stairs. Plenty of parking and fast food options.
Not a bad shopping mall. Sears is leaving soon. Hopefully a good store will replace it.
will be a nice mall once renovations are finished
You will find many excellent brands in this shopping centre. Great access and buses' line. Great place in winter for shopping
Surprising mall in the west side of Ottawa. If you don't want the drive or frustrating parking of other malls then look here. Often times carlingwood is all you need.
I love this mall small but everything’s you need is there, one stop shop they have a nice stores like Purdys chocolate, dollarama , virgin mobile, Bell , DQ RBC the food court is good second cup , tim bank and others The parking lot it’s huge the mall is very clean as well.
Good/okay stores. Food court could use more options. Good for people that get lost easily because its really only one floor.
A lot more quiet than bayshore, still has many different shops that aren't typically too busy. And way easier parking
A lot more quiet than bayshore, still has many different shops that aren't typically too busy. And way easier parking
Very nice mall. It is going to even get better with the biggest Canadian Tire store in the city and with that comes Sportcheck and Mark's Work Warehouse also. That will be some exciting additions to an already great mall. Looking forward to returning there to shop. Highly recommend to shop there.
Champs #1
I work at carlingwood and it is my favorite mall. Lots of friendly staff and shoppers :)
COVID-19 guards are only at a main entrance but people will let you in through many of the side "exits." Please fix because I'm concerned for everyone's health ????.
Pretty good mall, lots of variety in the stores, and nicely planned out. However, as it is known to be a mall for more elderly patrons, the lines in the store/crowding of rascals in the hallway.
It's just so sad
There's so many places there!!!!
My favourite part of the Carlingwood shopping centre is how laid back it makes you feel; no rush, no flashing advertisement, and no outrageous crowds of people
This is a great mall, not many like it. 1 It's right off of a major street - Carling (great street) and 2 most of the store fronts are occupied, which is more than I can say for some other malls in the area.
The mall has something for everyone. I like the choices for clothes.
Carlingwood Shopping Centre has all you need for the holidays and not what you don't need in Covid times, that is huge crowds. We were able to buy all our stocking stuffers at Dollarama and Ardennes; a Christmas blanket for only $15; a pair of cozy slacks from a store that specializes in them. We saw Santa Claus taking pictures with the children in his Covid safe store and we had a blizzard from Dairy Queen and an ice coffee from Tim Hortons. A wonderful afternoon on a snowy day. But, if you go you can make it your own!
Due to COVID restrictions the mall is partially closed. Only some shops are open. Entry number four and entry number one are the only open public entrances.
Good mall for simple things tbh and very friendly people
This mall is alright, they have some very good stores. The mall can be quite busy if you want to goto the Tims or food court but generally it is not horrible. The mall has lots of parking and bus access! Fairly clean most of the time although could have some more seating.
Its very beautiful compared to the last time I visited probably because of Christmas and newyear. But definitely one year from now this place is gonna be busy as there many retail places being constructed around
Local shopping mall. with many different stores to buy things you nee. I enjoy it. it's beautiful
Carlingwood shopping Center for 40 years our shopping spot and meet friends for coffee
Very nice shopping centre. Wonderful food court. The whole place is very clean, ample parking. Stores are plenty.
Always a good time there. Slower pace. Nice mall.
This place is dead. At 6pm most of the food court restaurants were closed and the ones that were open looked liked they were closing.
Good mall if you're looking for a much quieter and calmer place. Small food court and a variety of stores.
Large, clean, bright, and inviting. The stores are numerous and varried. Lots to choose from. The food court has a few nice options but not extensive.
I like this mall has a clean atmosphere but they miss the high traffic of no big box store. Sears is missed. How long can the mall survive without one.
Everything is easy to find. Some of it could be laid out a little better though. Separating the food court seems pointless
Love shopping here. They have a giant ardene and dollarama that is located in the basement
Grew up in the area when the mall was outside (strip mall style)and it always seems to have that perfect mix of shops and services. It's easy to gett around and find what you are looking for without having to hike all over a gigantic mall just to pick up a couple of items. We think Carlingwood Mall has the best Santa in Ottawa.
Always find what I need here about 95% of the time. Close to home and all-round great shopping experience.
The quality of the mall has gone downhill since I was younger. My family and myself rarely go to the mall anymore because of so. There is often grumpy elderly who hang around the place and like to start drama, I've been hit multiple times by canes and alcoholics out in the back for no reason.
Great mall to shop at. Found a couple nice gifts for my daughter's birthday.
Easy access and I can do grocery same time I can shop other things. dollar store and even my back is there. I like that I don't need to search stairs and elevators
Old people mall west end great selection family stroller N wheelchair friendly not too busy or big big diamond large restrooms N family nursing rooms
Decent mall. Pop up vendors have some great wares. Certainly a less busy mall.
Despite being one of the older malls, I still like Carlingwood. It's all on one floor, parking is easy and there's a good range of shops and play area for the kiddies. I hope it survives the closure of Sears.
I love everything about this mall. Easily accessible for everyone.
The shopping centre is one of the quieter ones in the region. It has a great selection of stores, including groceries, clothing, etc. Lots of parking available here.
There's a Loblaws here!
Most of the stores were closed St 11 am and some stores employees were rude
Nice little hidden gem. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Not overly busy or crowded. Great selection of stores.
Nice cosy place to go
A great little mall with some pretty unique shops. Lots of improvements over the past few years. Whenever I go to the library nearby, I like to window shop here. ????
Love this small mall, grew up going there. It's a nice place to go if you want to avoid the mass busy malls. Good stores and comfortable location.
Where I work! Very calm mall, just wish there could be more to do. Which will come soon when the Canadian Tire opens
Anytime I go over there It's the same kind of music that listen over there. It's a nice place for old people as it has only ground level.
Overall, small mall with limited stores
Conveniently located shopping center that is undergoing expansion. Great shops, food court, Loblaws grocery store and plenty of parking.
Not so giant and overwhelming as some malls like Bayshore, it's not a bad place to walk around. Has a good variety of stores available, and now it offers free WiFi for the whole mall which is awesome.
Love this mall! Love the fact there is a small play area for small children
Way better than it used to be! After renovations and new stores have moved in this is no longer a dumpy strip mall.
A very nice mall to spend your weekends. Sears and Dollarama stores are easy to find and the prices there are really nice.
The transition is underway to build a Canadian Tire store. The old Sears store is now demolished but it is quite a mess. Very difficult for those with mobility issues. Lots of businesses closing but still a good place to shop and socialize.
Always love shopping here
Small but enough vendors for a neighbourhood mall. Clientele are mainly seniors so easy to get around with all stores on one floor
Its not one of the biggest mall but does the job. One can find bus routes connecting them to downtown and bayshore. There are not many brands here but some shops like reitmans carry good discounts. Having rexal in the building also helps with pharmaceutical needs. This one has many salons from cheap to the expensive ones. YMCA is something the resodents of the area look forward to in this building.
All enclosed mall with a variety of stores. Soon to have a Canadian Tire where Sears was located. Reduced my rating due to a mall that does not contain a non fast food joint. A lot of empty stores right now. Hopefully things improve once CT is built Right now with Sears destroyed, it looks horrible . On top of that, the mall recently locked out the Carlingwood Restaurant owners. The longest tenant in the mall, with great service and good food. What a shame
This is a really small mall. There is a food court, and coffee store. Banking here is no problem. Three of canadia banks are housed here. I love this mall.
Very nice mall plenty of stores to visit. Although once home to Sears, it has now been demolished and I believe a new Canadian Tire Store is in the works. Wish it was something else and original. They have a good food court here and is very well kept. There are also other locations within the mall to eat at if the food court is not for you. Washrooms always clean. It's worth a look and I don't think you'll be disappointed. So enjoy your time and visit here at Carling wood Mall. Cheers!
Would be not so depressing with more natural lighting. Good for a quick trip or for the food court.
It's a little bit of a confusing place to find what you're looking for but it will be a large Canadian Tire
It's a little bit of a confusing place to find what you're looking for but it will be a large Canadian Tire
All stores provide covid-19 cleansiness. Stuff are very kind and nice.
I always like coming here, for good shopping and the A&W in the food court.
This mall is kind of like Herongate mall when it was still around. The stores there are plentiful and it has the bare necessities but it is missing their spark.
Love this mall, it's well organized and decent. Shoppers can found pretty much all they need, like Loblaws, Rexall, Dollarama EBGames, Bell, CIBC, RBC and Scotiabank branches and many more.. The food court is nice place to sit and eat, variety of Asian and Mediterranean cusine and fast food. The mall is pretty nice during the Christmas holidays and there is ???? Santa around the corner for a holiday memory pictures and train that takes the kids for a ride in the mall for few dollars.
It’s a shopping centre amongst the locals, with very convenient bus access. There is also a grocery store attached to the centre Overall, the selection of merchandise here is plenty. …
Very nice and cleaned! renovations are on going outside Building but definately OPEN all stores and Food Court with Covid 19 protocol. Fantastic. I enjoyed it.
It's a good spot for a quick shop... Carlingwood isn't what I remember it as, it has definitely updated and added more stores
Great place amd worth the try
Good mall with all the amenities you need in a fairly central setting without battling downtown traffic.
I really like that there's a grocery store just beside the food court. I will never do groceries when I'm hungry again. Also the family restaurant at the opposite corner of the mall from the food court is really great!
Good selection of stores and always pretty clean. Also rarely crowded. I like the pace of this mall, it's not full of people rushing around in a big hurry all the time.
Nice old people I had fun walking around cool stores kinda fun times I suppose bad chicken bad bad chicken dolalrama! I bought a burger as well and I love burger very yum! A&w delicious!
Good amount of stores small food court good amount of parking and very clean some days they have holiday activity for kids
Hopping mall with a little of everything. Caters to a diverse customer base. Orange Julius gets extra brownie points.
I love it. It's small and has just enough stores to find and buy pretty much everything I need. I look forward to the opening of the Canadian Tire store.
Lots of parking her. Easy in and out. Don't know what will become of the mall after the Sears shuts it's doors.
My favourite shopping mall, not too busy.
This mall has everything
Overall a good mall. It's mostly geared to senior, featuring a good sized Sears, food court and small Loblaws. Nice place to sit, have a coffee and do some errands.
Freedom Store Needs More Then Two Or Three People Working Here When Its Close To Around Noon Time. Some People Might Be In A Rush And Cant Waited To Be Served Next. Needs Better Improvement On Their Business With Customers!!!
I was happily surprised with the variety of ladies' clothing stores. Moreover, at the new restaurant now called "Co-Brie" , the staff was very helpful , especially when they heard our table of 6 was celebrating the Birthday of one of our group.
Hair done at Rinaldo hair designer & spa.
A shopping mall popular amongst the locals, with very convenient bus access. There is a grocery store attached to the mall. Overall, the selection of merchandise here is plenty but perhaps not abundance or exotic. Could be a good choice for practical shoppers.

Smaller mall with not much selection for stores. Known as the "Geriatric Mall" due to the majority of shoppers being citizens from nearby retirement homes. Probably ome of the biggest Dollarammas in the Central West of Ottawa.
Nice shopping mall With food, clothing jewellery, salon and dollar store.
I love a lot of the stores here I wish the sunrise records was bigger and that a few more of my favorite stores where here but... there's a Cole's book store so I won't complain! :D
Nice mall with a good selection of stores. Well maintained and clean
Great stores and for small mall, still can spend over an hour in. Too bad Sears is gone. Been there since the 1950s.
Another landmark mall been there forever change alot over the years as Sears went belly up Zellers gone
This is a non-pretentious mall that has pretty much all you need (don't try ordering an egg sandwich on a croissant at Treats but besides that lol) It's one of my favorite holiday malls, nice to walk around, not a lot of irritating people in the way. It just feels good for the most part. I love the Purdy's and this picture I took of the hat shop which is one of the fun shops because they have such unique things.
They have improved a lot inside with New tenants. It looks fresh as well. But the parking lot outside is still a mess.
My preferred shopping center. Big enough to have what you're looking for but small enough to be comfortable.
Actually haven't been there long time, but it was traditional
One level. Good store variation. 4 stars because accessible parking spots are farther than parents with children. Disabled aren't as mobile as parents but must walk farther. That's not right.
Your parents shopping male. That's why I go there rarely and only when absolutely necessary. Highly recommend "Freedom Mobile"'s shop and "Cellular X". Both will go out of their way to make you happy.
Always have an awesome experience at Carlingwood. It's great to go to a mall that has accessible parking. Lots of selection at this mall as well. Highly recommend.
From grocery store (Loblaws) to drug stores... all kinds of stores are there. Bus stops inside the mall. Lots of green plants inside. Big food court with variety of choices. One of the best shopping malls in Ottawa.
This is a smallish mall. The food court is pretty sparse with only a few options. It is one floor with the exception of Sears.
Best restaurant in the mall cobrie restaurant.
There are few stores of interest, most of them being CPAP therapy and linen stores, the other stores lack selection and the only reason to visit this mall would be the CIBC or Dollarama.
Everything is there, most of the brand names' stores are there, the food court is nice too.
A clean and bustling mall. Worth a visit. Sears is closing for business. It will be interesting on who moves in to that spot.
I like it there
There are not many malls like this one anymore. there is a huge senior citizen social network here!! Very clean. Large spacious stores. Some great deals to be found too! #localguide
so they have the covid rules in place but have NO enforcement they have hand sanitiser dispensers but they are empty you are supposed to walk with the arrows but no one is following the rules I HATE THIS MALL NOW
Wow company is one of the best company, the sales associates and the manager are very specialist and professional especially one of sales associates is very kindly and helps and guides people very well, her name is Tina Kazzazy. The people who works in this branch of wow company are same as family help each other a lot. Thanks to all of them. They have the best services.
All around is full of construction sites. Hope this project finish ASAP.
A lot of conveniently placed stores/banks/fast-foods. Perfect for running all your errands all in one place
Lot of shops to buy stuff and enjoy food as well. And the bus stop is just outside the entrance
Nice little mall.. Kernels store ( popcorn ) very nice personnels helpful and good service .. Will go back there for sure .. Dollars store very busy there. Nice food court .. Will go do some shopping there for sure ...
Nice shopping centre
Nice calm covid safe mall.
Same old same old. Still under construction, a little dusty. Has become a little busier, mid to late morning...
I liked the mall
Nice low key mall, has a few essentials such as dollarama, pharmacy, decent clothing stores with a vast majority targeting mid aged professionals. Has quite the array of banks.
Great place for older folks to shop but its not really geared to the younger generation.
I go here often. It’s a small mall with a lot of stores to discover. Relaxing atmosphere when you get here. Food court doesn’t have too many food selections. Nice to walk around and browse.
Nice mall, not too busy and has most everything you need
Great mall, you will find all what you need in here. In addition to parking lots, buses from early morning till late night to take you. Also playing area for the kids to play while you do your shopping. Good location as well.
Nice mall seems to have a good selection of store's, looks to be decently clean place top shop.
I always loved the feel of this mall. I think the carpeting helps. Used to have a shop here and it always had the most community support compared to my other locations.
They have children's place and Bentley and other stores that are affordable. Plus one can find most cell phone companies there.
Mall has a strong basis in older cliental. Several banks and jewelry stores, pharmacy, and YMCA.
Good ????????????????????????
Hadn't been here in a few years. Lots of new stores, nice Christmas decorations, lots of places to sit down and chill, impressive.
Carlingwood Mall is a nice safe place to shop. Catering to older people, with slot off lounging areas!
The most poorly designed web page.
Very good mall staff, very good store staff
Delightful little mall that caters to seniors and families. They recently incoporated a couple of attractions for little ones which is a great addition for busy moms and dads. A couple of the stories could use an upgrade such as the Coles bookstore in the Hallmark store (both of them look like sad liquidation centres), and one glaring Omission is a men's clothing store, but otherwise, it's a cheerful little space as far as malls go.
The Ardenes here is amazing ???????? they also have a great variety of shops for everyone!!
Cozy mall. Tonnes of comfortable seating for when you need to take a break. Fair assortment of stores. You can tell the mall is slightly geared towards the local crowd of older people but not exclusively.
Place is very empty during covid. Feel very safe shopping here
The train at Christmas was annoying. The mall is slowly losing more stores (Le Chateau, Sunglass hut, the pet store...) which gives me more reasons to drive to Bayshore versus walk 10 minutes to Carlingwood. Bathrooms (the main ones by the food court) are often a mess... If possible I'd suggest going to Bayshore, Rideau or St Laurent instead of here for a wider variety of stores.
Standard failing mall fare. If you like cookie cutter department and clothing stores, you’ll find them here.
Good single level mall to stretch the legs, not the best selection shopping wise however.
The layout of the mall is out of date and isn't trendy for the younger crowd. With Sears gone, this will only lower the feel and experience.
The information woman was rude to Me!!!
Lovely one level mall with lots of variety! No confusing corridors or multiple floors. Great for walkers, wheelchairs, & strollers!
This is mainly a one-level, medium-sized mall that is quiet, clean, friendly and wheelchair accessible. It is flanked on all sides by a very large community of seniors, who frequent it's food court, restaurant, coffee shops, banks, stores, and healthcare clinic from 7am (even though the Mall does not officially open until about 9:30 am) to 7pm. There are plenty of couches, benches and tables / chairs for relaxing, to enjoy a coffee, read the paper or socialize with friends. It also provides a good, free walk-around for exercise on carpeted floors, which is particularly useful during periods of inclement weather. To the left is Sears (which may close), and to the right is Loblaws, where many often end up shopping before / after their spell at the Mall. The highlight here is that seniors can have their groceries delivered for $5 and others for $8, Monday to Saturday inclusive, up to 4pm. Security is present and, if there is an emergency, the ambulance is normally there within five to ten minutes, to drive to the Civic Hospital, about 15 minutes away. Behind the Mall is an Ottawa Public Library. Moreover, on the opposite side of Carling Avenue is another small shopping centre, Fairlawn Plaza, composed of a Shopper's Drug Mart, Staples, Bulk Barn, Swiss Chalet, Beer Store, LCBO, as well as a Starbucks up the street. So . . . altogether, the area comprises a large selection of store choices to satisfy basic needs. Also, the area is particularly busy from 4-7pm, when people drop in for quick visits on their way home from work. Parking on both sides of Carling Avenue is free for shopping purposes, and there are a reasonable number of bus routes to choose from. Additionally, there is an increasing number of mothers with babies and young children starting to shop at Carlingwood Mall. The area may, therefore, become a little more upbeat in the future with, for instance, such stores as Roots, Victoria's Secret, Gymboree, a newspaper outlet that sells the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times, etc.
Good for many things. Stores here are generally smaller and don't always have a wide variety or everything we need.
A decent variety of stores and fast-food places. It's generally flooding with the elderly though, definitely not the best hangout for teens. But overall, I don't really have any complaints about this shopping center.
Enjoy shopping at my neighborhood mall.
Nice place. Looking forward to the new Canadian tire to open here
Ordinary Loblaws!
The place where old people shop
Small and clean good for a quick "get what you need" with some nice shops.
Always able to find what I need there.
Easy to get around and find what you need but not enough selection of women's or men's clothing stores It is good for basic items but variety is lacking
Good placeto take your kid for a walk and play in the small farm.
I've lived in front of carlingwood, mostly, my entire life. It's ok. It's very small and quiet. Mostly elderly's during the day. It's a home away from home.
I can't stand malls substituted for retirement homes. This is an old people's mall. They flock there in the morning grab their coffee and talk in the food court all day long. Tier isn't much retail of worth here.
Nice shopping center...while not as big as others in Ottawa it has most of the popular stores and is very clean
I like it, cosy shopping center kind people and will maintained.
Not impressed, I was asked to leave Dollarama because I had my Dog with me. She was in an inclosed Pet Stroller, only after I fussed about it did they allow me to shop.
Lovely mall. I really enjoy it
The mall is okay, it has a few stores I like (Rexall, Dollarama, Ricki's), and the Loblaws is convenient since I can do groceries while I'm out. Many stores are vacant, and the mall seems to accomodate mostly an older crowd. The Rexall is decently sized and carries a good selection of stock. The Dollarama is on the lower level of the mall and is quite large. The Ricki's doesn't have a great selection, but I like it since you can ship orders to the store and pick them up there.
Okay mall. Good selection of stores, Awesome DQ in there and my favourite SecondCup.
Older mall, but conveniently located and has a few useful shops. Loblaws and a couple banks keep me coming back. The big name stores are mostly gone though.
Purchased my compression socks at this mall, Bio ped Open ⋅ Closes 5 p.m. CALL DIRECTIONS BioPed Footcare & Orthotics In the Westgate Shopping Centre 8.0 km · 1309 Carling Ave #16 Westgate Shopping Centre Open ⋅ Closes 5 p.m.
Shop until you drop. Clean and an abundance of shops
Great, convenient -& clean Believe the best Mall to Shop in comfort
Barley anything in this mall. I find its for old people.
Nice and quiet mall, great for shopping and friendly staff.
Free wifi
Free wifi
Interesting mall. Not too big. Stores mostly on one level.
Has alot of good stores.
If you are in the mood to get Covid this is the Mall to go to. Almost half the people in the Mall wearing no masks, absolutely zero enforcement around. One man coughing with NO mask on in front of the Hickory Farms stall as an example, and not just a little cough.. There is no proper separation between people eating without masks and shops. We literally ran out of the Mall and sanitized heavily before getting into our vehicles. Will be contacting Public Health and filing complaint. Nothing in that mall is worth possibly risking your life over due to lack of taking Covid seriously.
I have to agree with Deborah! We visited Carlingwood yesterday and that Santa looks like he is 16 yrs old. He clearly does not want to be there and should be removed. Not engaging at all, barely spoke 5 words to my son. He clearly has not been hit by the spirit of Christmas...and don't get me started on the pictures... Oh gosh! We've been going to Carlingwood for 6 years now and I am beyond disappointed.
Once again this year I am finding all my presents and needs for Xmas here. I love shopping at Carlingwood Mall.
This mall has a good selection of stores that offer a variety of low to high end products. It's not as big as Bayshore or Rideau Centre but I haven't been dispointed by what it's offered me over the past several years.
Nice quiet mall. Good size but smaller than other malls so not so overwhelming. A lot of seniors come here. Decent store selection.
Carlingwood has a nice selection of stores. It's clean and quiet.
Easily accessible, great stores, food court.. Not sure what will happen after Sears goes. Main store of mall
Has most things your are looking for at a mall
Its a nice clean mall
Even with Sears gone a lot of stores to shop at bring the whole family for the Carlingwood restaurant it's excellent
Complete with a food court, clothing stores and a grocery store. Definetly smaller than a regular mall in that everything is on one floor. Really clean and great for seniors visits. Has lots of seating in the mall.
In and out fast. Love when things flow.
Awesome mall.
Nice mall, they have done some great upgrades, too bad there is not a lot of people, mostly older people looking to go for a walk.
I could not locate any board showing directions to the different shops. If there are any they need to be where customers can see them.
I had never been here before, and was pleasantly surprised. Open and airy, very bright. Well maintained and great selection of shops!
Great mall. Nicely decorated. Welcoming, friendly and peaceful with polite service. Good store selection. Refreshing to be in a mall that is not overrun by out of control teens yelling and/or fighting. Not as a big or fancy as Bayshore but a lot nicer to shop in. I don't understand all the negative comments about size and condition. Perhaps people are confusing it with Billings Bridge mall, which really is a sad and depressing place! I have lived in a number of larger American and Canadian cities and Carlingwood Mall can hold its own with any other shopping center of comparable size. (With more than 100 stores and services it is not that small.) Don't trust the bad reviews. Check it out for yourself to see if it suits your own taste in malls.
Sears has officially closed as of January 2018. As of 2016 Carlingwood Mall celebrated it's 50th anniversary.
I used to work in this mall years ago, it has since been updated and caters more to families. There is an awesome large dollarama, kids clothing shop, scholars choice, play area, free balloons for your little one, ymca and clean washrooms including a family washroom and good selection in the food court. The mall has halloween and christmas events including last year a kids train ride around the mall for a few dollars. I come back to this mall when I need to shop with the family or somewhere to stroll around during a heat wave and keep them interested long enough for me to get everything done.
This mall has a comfortable feel. Lots of great women's clothing shops. Not as busy as most malls in Ottawa.
This mall has a pretty big dollar store and Ardenes which is nice. Also it has a loblaws. Other than that the other stores are just ok and meant more for an older crowd. The good thing is that usually the stores have good stock as it’s never overly busy. The turn around for stores is pretty fast with new stores popping up all the time. It’s a clean mall overall. There is also an attached loblaws and YMCA
This is a large mall, clean and well kept, and full of stores equally well looked after. But, it's extremely difficult to find your way around it. First, the subject index on the floor maps is woefully inadequate. For example there are at least half a dozen clothing stores in the mall, but solely two are listed on the store maps under that heading. Second, blocks of stores are identified on the store maps by letters, A,B,C..., but neither the stores nor the blocks themselves show the letter. Signs on each block showing its letter, either on the store fronts or on the floor, are badly needed for hapless shoppers.
Definitely dated mall that needs a bit of tlc. There is nothing unique or special about the mall. The stores are well kept and the service is quite good.
Gteat place to spend a cold, snowy day! Wife has her vank there abd we love tgecstores! Plenty of variety to shop! Too bad about Sears closing there, a dynasty for 67 years!
The restaurant rates barely a 1. We had a terrible hamburger meal which go sent back and replaced but the new one that wasn’t much better. Very expensive.$9.00 for a basic broccoli soup that will not be memorable. The pop was regular glass size at $2.75 glass. Overall a bad experience. Avoid it completely! I overheard another customer say pretty much the same thing and a store clerk had her own negative experience. Stick with the Food Court which is predictable in cost and quality. The Mall itself is very nice but I miss Sears!
Just went to the clinic but very festive inside...
I've always liked this mall it's clean and easy to get around in and parking is easy.
Seems like a dying mall, though there are several banks and food services amongst others. Perhaps when the new Canadian Tire is built it will breathe new life back into the mall.
I prefer this mall too Merivale mall and Westgate. It's got some nice stores, it's easy to navigate, great little food places, and is just welcoming.
Don't be intimidated by the construction. This is a pleasant mall, good shopping, and not too busy.
Still well maintained with a good selection of stores.
Variety of stores. There is a Tim Hortons in the mall so I enjoyed being able to buy a coffee.
This place is worth visiting to hang out
Purchased a gift card form here and I would never recommend it. They start taking money off the card monthly once you've had the card for too long. Unacceptable. I will never return here.
Had great time shopping at Carlingwood Mall.
It doesn't seem to be managed very well and the building is old. But it is good enough for a quick snack or a quick walk. It isn't a 'shopping centre'.
I love this mall because it has everything I'm looking for and more. The food courts is accessible and clean. O love the cafe shops that you can have a coffee/tea at your leisure. It is a great place to walk around for exercise and they have comfortable chairs and bench to rest on. I really enjoy this mall whenever I visit my family.
Nor a big mall so it was easy to get around.
not bad to go there, if you need some stuff or just shop a bit
Good - but a lot of stores closing in this centre. Pleasant environment
Great place many awesome stores. Feels like a happy place. Everything feels very alive with constant movement.
No place to sit if you are waiting for someone. In my case, I was waiting for my child to finish their dentist appointment. And kneeling against the tables are not allowed either. Was there at 8:30am and mall doesn't open till 11am, so not sure why kneeling against the table away from everyone and not touching it with my hands is not allowed according to security.
I tried to buy a pair of men's pants but there isn't a piece of men's clothing in the entire mall.
The cosiest mall you will find! Also, a place for many local start ups. Ive seen many little middle of the isle tables grow into very nice businesses over the years!
Good variety of shops under one roof.
Most stores where closed
Plenty of parking and easy to use public transport. I went a couple weeks before December holidays. Toy Mountain on location allowing a drop off of toys to less foutunate families. Santa is available for photos and the lineup is reasonable when compared to other locations in the city. Overall, I enjoyed the experience with my kids.
A smaller mall but still cool got some old stores i haven't seen in forever very nice staff
I love the mall, I live walking distance from? ????
Love the family friendly mall.
Excellent place for everyday shopping, abundant parking, one-level shopping floor, great food court. However, the receptionist on the phone is rather rude than courteous, smearing its reputation.
No anchor store anymore with Sears gone. Still good for older clientele for meet ups and walking
Great clean place
Started shopping at carlingwood in 1968,has a good variety of stores, friendly sales people, sure would be great to see Wal-Mart move into the former Sears location.....
Great little mall. Not super busy and has some of the "main" stores. The Santa (and company) was great to get pet pics with. The dollaramma and Ardene are huge. Plenty of parking to
Quite a bit of store variety. Good set up and has a food court
Great friendly place!
Something for everyone.
Enjoyable place to shop w/great variety of stores, 2 banks, Loblaws, coffee shops, DQ, jewellery stores, pharmacy and much more!! Plenty of parking, bus routes and abundant handicap entrances!!
Looks clean. Some variety of stores. Different areas of the city have better variety for shopping. Nothing bad about this location. Just nothing substantial.
Decent mall - was updated some time ago, still look newish. There is more parking space in the back of the mall. Got good stores to satisfy most shopper's needs. Food court is decent enough - Greek, Chinese, fried, cafes, etc.
Convenient indoor location for walking. Not too crowded. They have taken adequate safety precautions re COVID protocols. Lots of women's clothing stores. Not much for men. Lack of an anchor store is a major drawback.
Carlingwood is my favorite mall in Ottawa! Can't wait for the new Reno's! I visit the food court every week alongside Cole's book store, the BNS, Dollar store, shops, Rogers, Shoemaker's etc. It's always moving along at a nice pace. There are new booths all the time with handmade seasonal crafts, coins, hats or jewelery. Plus many new shops are forthcoming and some are moving from Lincoln Heights. Like the boutique called Fantaisie Fashion. Where I bought 2 dresses for my trip to Niagara Falls. Love them & Carlingwood for all you offer for so many years & so many people. Ty.
Good old mall starting to rejuvenate. New large Softmoc. Lots of cell and other shoe stores, but the Lablaws needs a refresh.
Great location. Free parking. Great variety of stores
Jeez, it was like after closing time. Middle of the day!
Easy to park, enough different kinds of stores to run most errands at one place. They have a train at Christmas for kids.
First time to roam around this mall and found some interesting stores. Good to shop as it is not too busy during mid-week.
This is my favourite go-to mall compared to anywhere in the city. Easy to find things from dollarama to books, clothing to shoes, and everything in-between. One level ( except y is steps down) and built in a large square. All ages can shop. Will attract more traffic with anchor can tire in a few years. West side Site is a little messy with tear down of sears ( you should build higher fence to not detract from the site) but doesn’t restrict traffic or shoppers. These smaller malls are awesome and so much better than big box. I will shop here first.
Great shopping mall. In my opinion, all the stores got it together to protect its customers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Doesn't really have any good stores.
It's an ok mall. Some stores are good. Most boring. Not a mall for young people. Only tore for them that great is Ardenes.
I will give this place a 3 star just because its still kicking. With no innovation, an embarrassing food court or no real impressive anchors, I'm surprised it has been reduced to rubble. At least it has one of the best chatr cell phone dealers in the city....thats why I go there.
Convenient mall, has nice selection and location. Not as big as other malls, quick to get around.
Limited access but very helpful personnel at the main mall entrance
It's a nice place to take a walk and rest. Very comfortable.
Well laid out small mall with good selection of different stores. Nice and different selection of aisle stands.
If you have a hankering to spend time with Senior citizens fighting off cabin fever in the winter or perhaps you are trolling for persons of low income, my friend I have found the place for you! Carlingview Mall is a hidden gem just west of Westborough(that is right there is something further west)! Having just removed the stench of corporate despiration by demolishing the recently emptied Sears department store, you can now fully enjoy your new orthotics in your Hush Puppies or Birkenstocks with socks while purveying a virtual cornucopia of Chinese sweatshop products being offered to you at 200%+ markup by our American retail overlords! Slip into an offgass induced coma of contendedness and or complacency at the dollar store. Remember life is short, especially for poor people!
Please do not built condo in place of Sears there is enough condo in this city Separate Sears and put in 3 stores or more they have done this at bayshore and other malls and so far have succeeded so why not do the same thing bring carlingwood back to life bz ut's been suffering for the last yr
Went to look at after Christmas sales - checked to see if the tree was in stock - and it was - 40 of them. It took a long time for the staffto find them
Went to look at after Christmas sales - checked to see if the tree was in stock - and it was - 40 of them. It took a long time for the staffto find them
There's almost one shop in here for anything you need (even banking). Neat and friendly environment, small but well organized food court..overall a decent place to hang around with friends and family.
Easy to get to, good selection of stores, clean, never too jam packed with shoppers except on weekends and holidays, great parking space large hallways to get from store to store
Ive always loved shopping at Carlingwood because of the variety of stores. I miss how they used to have the Christmas Tree in the food court a while back. I can't wait for them to bring that back.
Feel sad to see some business shutdown due to pandemic but hope that everything is going to come back soon
It's good for mostly everything from food to clothes, from Dollarama to expensive jewelry. Pleasant atmosphere, places where your can relax and treat yourself to a book and coffee. Also has a gym and Tim's open early.
Quiet mall, but nice. Has a variety of stores and mall staff are usually friendly
Great atmosphere, unpretentious and friendly. There's a Timmie's and a Loblaws adjacent to the mall. Free parking and the OCTranspo bus passes through.
kinda boring mall. very convenient for the neighbourhood tho. and the food court is not so good imo - less selection.
The crew at the koodo stall was fantastic. Great service, a really positive interaction.
This is a good mall to kick it in a comfy couch and enjoy the golden years
With the exception of management of the mall itself I have found the stores that I frequent to be doing the best they can and putting on a brave face during these difficult times.
Small mall with sears and Loblaws and many shops with interesting offers. Easy access and parking close to entrances.
Great place to take family.
The staff at melanie could definitely use training. I asked for capris the sales clerk showed me pants. And had no idea if they had them. Cleo and Rickis I found great products and helpful staff
I love this mall. There is lots of indoor seating when a rest is needed. They have everything that I would need in a shopping centre. Lots of handicapped parking. Accessible washrooms. They have a help desk. Loblaws is there with no need to lift groceries, they provide car orders. There are many different food options in the food court and healthier options that have moved in. There are great bargains to be had. Unfortunate that Sears Canada is closed.
Had to change my rating from 5 to a 3. It closes at 7 pm on Saturdays! Other malls are open until 9 pm. Lots of empty stores here now, and it will get worse with mall hours like these.
Would LOVE to keep it my little secret, but this Dollarama is the best in the city! Worth the longer travel! The staff are amazing, very friendly, helpful and kind. Be kind to them, they deserve it and I'm sure they'd appreciate it!!
A great shopping centre with a wide variety of shops. Easy parking as well.
Lots of different stores. So well laid out. It is easy to spend time there
This is a really small mall. A great place to hangout with friends and relatives. There is a food court, and coffee store. Banking here is no problem. Three of canadia banks are housed here. I love this mall.
Very nice shopping center that keeps updating itself and not getting old.
So sad to see so many stores closing as a result of Covid.
Great lil mall..full of oldies. Great seeing them out and doin their business. The staff at Scotia bank are great. Thank u Gracie and staff
Always love shopping at Carlingwood mall.
Such a nice small, always such a fun place to go with your family! They have a fun train that drives around and bring his children on a Little Ride, it's always clean there quite a bit of variety, not a huge mall but a nice place to go spend some time. They have a nice little food court as well, and their customer service center is excellent and they always have plenty of wheelchairs available to use for free. And they allow you to call in advance to reserve one.
Lots of parking. Wheelchairs accessible. Large surface with a good variety of stores.
I didn't go there for a long time, I felt the shopping center needs a big renovation.
Mahak was very helpful and excellent
Fairly large selection of stores, services, and kiosks. There was a 3 story Sears at one corner of the mall, which contractors have messily been taking down for the past 3 or 4 months. The view through the construction equipment and piles of debris makes it look like the entire mall is closed for a surprisingly large part of the intersection perimeter, but it's open.
Love this mall! Sad to see so many things closing but hopefully more will appear. This mall is a great alternative to larger busy malls.
This mall is a great place for older adults, and has several stores for them to find outfits. Unfortunately, a lot of the older population were not wearing masks correctly, or at all.
Nice mall it has Loblaws u can buy groceries and other shopping
Lots of stores+food options. Grocery store attached major plus. Santa and mall Christmas train for the kids
Good for evening strolls,
It's great place to shop your favourite stuff. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They treat you like a family. Go and experience for yourself.
Was actually pleasently suprised at this mall had good selection of shops and food places very decent
Cute place to shop! Not a large variety of stores though.
Will be better once renovations are completed.
Mall does not as big as it really is from the outside.
Very much a mall suited to the elderly and students from the local high schools. Has most necessities, but isn't extravagant. Decent but not the best
Great shopping mall to eat food and enjoy meeting friends.
Now that Sears went bankrupt there is no real anchor store in the mall. The parking lot is now full of pot holes and it looks like the demolition is about to start on the Sears portion of the mall. With Christmas now over there are numerous vacancies now in the mall. Things are not bright for this mall.
Nice mall,can find mant stores
Nice mall. Comfy seats for resting. Goid place for inside walking in the winter. Nice food court.
Only one entrance/exit currently....CARLING ENTRANCE ONLY.....due to construction
Only there for Loblaws. The mall itself is small and cramped. There are mobile phone companies around every corner and the "food court" has a lot to be desired
Close to home and a great place to get out of weather
Fantastic local mall. Generally for adults more than for teens. Stores are priced well and selection good. The loss of Sears has been difficult.
Always empty:( and lots of room. Little gem.
It's got everything under one roof and will be better when canadian tire fills the location left by the bankruptcy of sears
I've only been there twice but I didn't find that mall made sense. I got lost several times and there isn't a map located anywhere to help out. But I do like that there is a full Loblaws attached to the mall. It would just help if there was a map somewhere to help out.
Lacks a big anchor store. Quiet at the moment without one.
Great mall! Hard to know where the washrooms are but they were really nice when I found them.
Good variety of shops with food court. Very neat and clean. Shops had attentive and helpful staff.
Parking very good.Varied stores to cater to clients . One floor which is great. No multi levels which I appreciate.
Good shopping mall. Lots of shops in it with affordable prices
Very pleasant shopping center. Well kept, clean well-organized
One of a few places that we can sit down for a cup of coffee (when not being locked down, of course)
Small mall. Decent shopping centre. Great place to bring a toddler for indoor run. Great food court
I love Carlingwood. Too bad they've taken such a hit since Sears left. It's downright depressing.
Boring mall
Decent mall.
Small mall, but very warm and cozy atmosphere. More of a place to go to relax and have a coffee to browse a few stores. They also have a little playground, rides and train at certain times for the kids. My son loves it there.
This place has more places to eat then shop. Many retailers have left and the rumour is that they will tear this mall down to build condos. Don’t waste your time.
Good prices, but the elderly treat younger people as if they don't belong there.
Open for indoor shopping
Really are fixing up the mall looks great, clean, lots of seating ( more when the restrictions are lifted) open easy access to all the stores, except the dollar store it's down a flight of stairs, not sure about an elevator.
Great place
I love carlingwood when i only need a few things. Its spacious and not overcrowded.
Dirtbag haven.
Great mall, not to big. Great selection of stores. Great restaurant, excellent food. Nice food court.
Like it, I feel it is more for older people, is nice thougt, is quite small but you still finding what you need
Happy there open l enjoy the mall better than Bayshore
Carlingwood is a smaller, older mall that lost their anchor store when Sears shut down but I still like it. One of the few malls left that has a grocery store and I think that is a bonus. We don't go often as we are not westenders.
Nice shopping centre.
Went to see the creepy santa. My daughter LOVED it!! She was so happy to see him :)
I have been going here since I was five years old. It is a tradition in our family. Feels like home.
I love this mall. It's a great size and has a lot amenities. I miss Sears. FYI: There will be a new Canadian Tire where Sears use to be in 2021. Yes! Loblaws is great and lot of cafes and a couple of food courts.
Its a decent mall, with nice and decent crowd. Bright and compact. They have all the shops I usually go to. Has a food court with major chains.
Lots of parking available. Many stores within. Typically busy mall. Food court in centre of mall. Good place to go if multiple errands need to be done.
It was just decent
Mall and Cibc branch close at 3pm during lockdown.
My daughter likes their Xommunity Job Bank.
Nice quiet mall. Good store selection. Security can be rude at times though.
Good covid signage and sanitation stations everywhere
Smaller mall with a good selection of stores all on one level. Fun play structures for toddlers and free balloons for kids somedays. Good efforts to attract a younger demographic.
Stores are all on one floor .Mall is often busy but not overcrowded. Easy shopping for the elderly and the disabled. Also have been a Sears fan for years !
Great amazing mall! Convenient for all your needs in regards to clothing for all ages, health and more! I love how they have GNC and health stores which makes it a one stop shop for myself! On top of that, they have awesome healthy food for myself unlike a lot of the malls! Seriously Great
Following medical protocols. One way directions, sanitization at the entrance as well as the stores, max number of people in stores,
Old. Most stores are gone, except for the cellphone stores. Hopefully, Canadian Tire will give it some life.
It's really going downhill, and fast!
I have always enjoyed this mall. Lots of changes but still a great little mall.
I had to leave with the kids (3yrs and 16m) due to a very disrespectful employee from customer service. She came and told the kids, who were all playing and having fun, to play quietly. They were not being noisy, I didn’t realize they were expected to whisper in a play place. She rudely turned to an older child and shamed him for playing because he was too old then continue talking to him while passively aggressively aiming her comments towards the parents. She said “if people would just read the rules, my job would be easy but its not because nobody reads the rules”. She talked louder then all the kids who were laughing and chatting combined yet told the kids to be quiet. My son who is only 3 was 1” too tall and was heartbroken that he couldn’t play. The only reason we chose this mall was because we needed to do groceries and the kids could play. Never again. This mall has nothing worth going to. Very disappointed that the kids can’t actually play in a designated play area. Very angry that such a disrespectful person would work in customer service. Date attended: Sunday Sept 15, 2019 at around 3:45-4:15pm.
Not Ottawa's largest mall, but it offers a good selection of stores. It's cozy and 1 floor.
Carlingwood is very festive and fun.We went there specifically to service my rings at Peoples Jewelers who were great and accommodating, and to change our watch battery. They had a train there that you could ride around the mall.
Has a key cutting place, 3 banks and a resturant. Good mall just needs updated stores
Had to go to three different 'intersections' in the mall to find the information board, to find a certain store. Also the washroom layout was a bit odd. Not enough of a privacy screen, as there was no washroom entrance door.
The mall looks wonderful!! We went there specifically for sunrise records! Only store we could find that sells C.D.'s!! Sunrise had all that we wanted except one new release, Chris Stapleton! Apparently no one has it, was late to be shipped!! But the kind gentleman took our name and number and is going to save one for us.
Surprising selection of shops, free parking and a nice calm atmosphere. Check out the chatr mobile for a great cell phone deal!
It great place
Mall is just about empty Very sad to see all the stores closing
I am in a wheelchair and was tierd. A wonderful person asked if she could help me and I told her I had a Para to catch and I was running late and had no more wind. She took in her own hands to get me there I was very thankful. Thanks again Viola
Hair cut & Christmas shopping at time of this post. Great pre-shutdown sales. Tough decisions for a last minute shopping Dad :)
I'm surprised this is even called a shopping center, it's more like an old age community center! It is full of old people, or people who think it's a gym to walk around and do their exercise. Even the well known stores that are left standing in Carlingwood only carry old style articles or last season styles. But if you want to take your grandparents out for a stroll, this is the spot!
This shopping centre is very convenient for the neighborhood. There are many public bus lines to there, therefore it is very easy to get there and carry the goods bought there to home. The shops at this Centre are quite fine. The prices are fare. In the middle of the centre, there is dinning area.
Great mall. Get your running shoes & wallet & take a stroll. Huge selection of stores & places to eat in the food court. Senior friendly & parking is monitored by security who are always around & ready to assist. Thanks Carlingwood Mall your terrific. Wheelchair accessible & public restrooms.
