Brookside Mall had become a skeleton of itself over the years. It holds very little to offer shoppers with big chain stores limited to Lawtons and Sobeys. The facilities within are up to par, however the atmosphere is dreary. If you are looking for local crafts and services this is a good place for that, but not for someone looking for overall shopping.

I went there last June 2019 during my visit at Service New Brunswick. Although I did not explore the mall from left to right but I had a stroll at some it stores. It is very quiet and have shops for different tastes. I believe, SNB has their one of the largest branch within this Mall.

Not what it once was, but still a good spot if you are on the north side and need a variety of items. You can find home furnishings, clothing, cards, food, cannabis, alcohol, to tax filing and more. It's a shame that many of the locations are empty. Also, while the mall itself is open on Sundays, many of the businesses within are not. The big stuff like Sobeys, Hart, Cannabis NB, and the liquor store are all open though. The place is quite spotless which is always great and it's a vibrant spot during the week.

There is almost no shops in this mall other than Lawtons, Sobeys and NB liquor. There is almost no traffic inside the mall on weekdays. The mall is well maintained. It is great if you like local shops as there's a small local café inside and 2-3 more local shops. The mall to go is still Regent Mall when visiting Fredericton.

When someone from out of town asked me about the mall on the Northside, it took me a few minutes to register that they were talking about Brookside. In my mind I was thinking.... what mall? Mostly just a bunch of offices now with a larger grocery store and drug store. Some Chinese food and a large fitness centre. Not really a place you'd go for shopping.

Brookside Mall I stumbled across Brookside Mall After I dropped my brothers dog off At the groomers across the street I thought I'd kill some time and see How the commercial real estate business Was coping in the middle of COVID In the capital city of Fredericton, NB Unbelievable & shocking Are the two adjectives I'm using to describe That one-time experience At the time of my visit, New Brunswick Was wide open, without any restrictions The majority of the stores within the mall weren't open As is, usually dictated by the Landlord For some reason, the Landlord allows each Tenant To decide what time & for how long they're open At first, I thought my opinions were jaded Having relocated from the big city of Toronto In hindsight, I've come to realize that Businesses in New Brunswick Operate under a different set of rules It may be the capital of New Brunswick; however, They operate as though they're on island time Coming and going as they please It certainly makes it challenging If you're visiting there with a time-sensitive agenda

I've gone to this mall my entire life, and it's always been a good experience. A little boring at times but still good. Nothing much left. Recently though, I've been having strange sleep paralysis. This old woman slowly opens my bedroom door and creeps in, her face rotting away. She whispers the same thing every time as she gets closer and closer, " The Brookside Mall.. go to the Mall.. " So I decided, well, I'll listen to her. After I woke up I took myself up to the mall and low and behold, she just wanted me to find her dead cat! ( Maybe? It might just be a stray. Poor thing. ) Either way, she was in my next dream ( A normal dream, not paralysis. ) And thanked me before she sunk into the malls tiles. After this experience I still feel the same about the place. Very nostalgic and cute.

Brookside mall has been a landmark for a long time. More recently it has undergone some changes and with a few good anchor tenants it is doing well. We went for Sobey's, NB Liquor and will likely come back to visit Cannabis NB in the future.

This is a typical mall. It has lost many of its smaller stores along with an anchor store or two. It suffers the fate that all malls seem to have suffered. There's seems to be an attempt to utilize empty space which is nice to see. The side and back parking are quite a distance from entrances. Not good for any mobility challenged individuals. It contains large call center and service center clients so most of the mall is not really for shopping. The front part is and the back part is not.

At Sobeys for a couple of carts of supplies and provisions for the winter, one of the more confusing layouts this store has for promotional items at different ends of the store. Store staff were very happy to help find items and even helped replace eggs that had broken during packing of groceries backinto cart. Thank you.

I specifically went to the Mall go to the yarn shop. I had a great conversation with the owner. She gave me fantastic advice regarding my trepidation on knitting socks. The Lawtons Drugs store in the Mall was very nice too.

GoodLife Fitness, Atelka call center, Service New Brunswick Provincial Archive, Lawson's, Sobeys, NB Liquor, several local businesses, & a walk in clinic. With seniors' condos behind the former mall, the atmosphere is the same (bordering on a morgue). Has always been in the middle of nowhere - and still is.

Sobeys & Lawton Drug Store ???? There are 3 good ladies' clothing stores, The Prism (giftware, and esthetics. (There is also a call center or two.) Otherwise, there is VERY little to bring shoppers into this mall. TOO quiet!!! ... Disappointingly quiet / slow! ????

You've got Sobeys, The Hart store, Lawtons, liquor and Cana N.B. plus a lot of smaller independent business, for hair,nails,massage, framing, cellphones, food or gifts. Plus lot's of room and we'll maintained. A much more relaxed atmosfear than the other malls.

Go to the regent mall. There's nothing here other than Sobeys and the Card Rack. The Card Rack is amazing and the guy running it is fantastic

Quiet small shopping Mall that's been around for years. Has Provincial Govt offices a call center. Also has a Sobeys/ Lawton's Drugs/ Hart Department store/ NB Liquor store- Cannabis NB/ Goodlife fitness/ Horizon’s Fredericton North side Community Health Centre, which is being used as a Covid-19 Vaccine clinic at the moment. The mall also features Chong's Place Chinese restaurant, a few clothing stores and a foot care and blood work clinic. Wheelchair accessible and lots of free parking.

You ever see that scene in Family Guy where they walk into a Sears store and it is almost completely barren? Well, Brookside Mall is sort of like that; A well-known mall that has seen some massive popularity back in the day, but over the years, it has been getting more and more empty. For what is remaining, there is a nice selection of stores, and there are some that you won't see in any other part of Fredericton. Still, I worry that there will come a day where not enough people will shop here, and the mall will likely be gutted out or turned into something different. Only time will tell...
