I received amazing service from SportCheck St-John's Newfoundland. I live in Montreal, Qc so automatically they do not deliver to Quebec. I had made an online purchase and was willing to drive to Ottawa to pick up my order, however, after I received the confirmation, I noticed I did not put the right address info to pick up in store. Once I figured out that St-Johns is where my order was shipping from, I called them. They were able to find my order, and instead of shipping to Ottawa, they personally added my home addressed and had my packaged delivered right to me. This saved me a 2 hour drive to Ottawa during the pandemic. So grateful they were able to rectify my mistake!!

Lots of staff but no one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. I found a fab new pair of sneakers and replaced my insoles. I suggest training is the gap. If I am in the store, I am there to buy. Why not tell me about other insoles or socks? So basic. I guess I looked like I knew what I wanted. Confident salespeople would have approached me and shown me something new.

It was a good experience. I entered to two tables with bottles of hand sanitizer, a stand up bulletin board with covid prevention tips and staff at most junctions in arrow guided walking paths through the store. All of the staff wore masks and offered to point the way or help as you approached. Great service and great precautionary measures. A good experience all around.

Went to buy a baseball bat. No access from the mall. Hmm, fair enough. Went around the front. Wandered through the store, couldn't find bats or store droids. Finally located someone who works there. Enquired about my specific requirement in a bat, and she said she'd page someone. She led me to the bats and abandoned me. After waiting about 10 minutes for a store droid to finish helping another customer in that area of the store, I thought it would be my turn. Apparently not. Said droid just wandered off. Well so did I. Whether he goes back to work or not I do not care. I will never shop there again. Got what I needed next day delivery through Amazon Prime. Probably cheaper, too, although we'll never know.

So I don't know what it was, but I was not treated in a courteous way in this store by one of the employees. I was confused on deciding between two shoes and hence asked a sales associate for help. I called him around 5 times, "Excuse me please, can u help me?" And he downright ignored me each time and went in the opposite direction. I thought he might come back to assist me after sometime but that didn't happen too. I'm pretty sure he did hear me calling him. I don't know what it was, Maybe because my skin colour was "brown" ,that's why he didn't wanted to serve lol. Anyways the store was good though! Has nice collection and discounts.
