I came in Saturday noon for Christmas shopping and came across amazing stuff. The staff was lovely, and they try their best to prioritize safety measures for COVID. It seems as though a lot of people are quite inconsiderate of that. I want to say this as a neutral standpoint; I understand that it gets frustrating for both employees and customers. I find that the employees throughout Park Place Mall during this pandemic are tired because of the inconsideration of others not wearing a mask or aren’t wearing it properly, but I also saw a review from here that the manager is willing to speak very strikingly in a sense about other customers not following the rules. I don’t know who the manager is at Ardene, but I do find that quite worrisome due to the impact it will lead to business. Frustrations should be said when customers aren’t around, but it gets hard and that’s understandable. The prices from Ardene is quite remarkable and affordable for young girls and adults so it’s hard not to come by and shop at this place. As a customer, I still will come shop at this place but I wanted to write this review to not only the staff but also the people who read this. Please, be considerate of the staff in their position as well as staff being considerate of their reputation for business.

Horrible customer service. They made a mistake for the tag- wrong size. The manager said NOTHING she can do about it. No refund, No exchange although they placed a WRONG size tag. Don't take any responsibility!!! If you are going to buy anything from there, make sure you check both of size tags, factory one and store one.

Today she yelled at me in front of other customers that I had to have mask with my face shield, I have a medical exemption. And obviously would wear the mask if could, hence the face shield. Racial profiling. Poorly trained staff. Poor customer service. I have been to this location many times before. However the staff working today (October 27, 2021) at around 11:15 am we’re not helpful at all. No one greeted me when I walked into the store, instead I was immediately followed when I went to the back corner to look at their socks selection. Instead of asking if I could be helped, 2 staff members conspicuously “organized” items within my vicinity. Recognizing this I moved to the other end of the store and was followed once again. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. As a young professional woman of color AND a paying customer, this is completely unacceptable. **Edit: A poor and lazy generic response from the Owner no less. This has to do with the staff that you trained and not with the company itself. It is your responsibility to teach them which you are clearly not willing to do.

Honestly, the people in this store are kinda nice, but unfortunately the management of this company are really crap. I purchased two shirt there witch processed by one of the employee that i know from the store, trying to exchange it due to the size different, although i don't have the sales receipt anymore and i do able to get the store manager and assist store manager to vouch for me that i have made the purchased on the exact time and date. The management of Ardene won't even consider a exchange. Fact that not even mention the feeling of buying two shirt that witch is USELESS. I do understand that there are problem on my end witch i don't have the sales receipt any more, But it should be enough to proof that i did purchase the item in the store if both store manager and assistant manager can vouch for it. This is bad for business and everyone knows it, how do you expect anyone to come back to your store to purchase again after they been treated at the way it is. as a customer and also a person that work in the same mall. i will not go back to buy anything from them, and i believe my family won't, and most my friends won't as well. And thanks for that management person made this situation, they are -1 family for business. I do believe this can happen first time and it will happen 2nd time, who knows how many family will join me after that.

Huge store. This is just what Elgin Center needs. They attract lots of business they have good prices they have friendly staff and amazing holiday deals. I did a lot of shopping here for the Christmas holiday I managed to get gifts for all of my nieces and females in my family. I had only spent a few minutes in the store and i was looking at a section to buy a piece i saw and liked. the lady with blond hair came up to me, looks at me weird, and basically tells me to move because she was in the middle of folding clothes. Horrible customer service. Not even a single smile nor hello. I felt very unwelcomed- never have i ever walked out a store so fast and so dissatisfied.

I had an ok experience but this mall had always been kind of sketchy and run down. I was not overcharged but the pajamas i bought were not the right matching size. The top was medium and the shorts were extra small. I have laundered them already so i cant take them back. I cna still wear them but on the tight side. It is partially my fault but it was the last one of its kind on the rack so i would not have had other options. Ive been spoiled by the Richmond center Ardene lady who double check the sizing to match for me. So check that ur tops and bottom match. I guess people swap out the sizes for their different parts

My wife and daughter, even my son, love Ardene, especially the one in Northridge Mall. The Northridge location has very good deals and is cheaper than the Woodgrove store, but Woodrove Ardene is also great. My daughter loves the grab bags and they are cheaper at Northridge Ardene. There is a good selection of clothes for a good price. My kids bought some cheap squishies today and a couple of grab bags. My wife bought some shorts for a great price.

Im only giving 1 star even though I actually like a lot of the stuff in there and have been a customer for a long time... but recently I was treated pretty badly by the manager and one of the other staff in there last week, when I tried to get a magnetic tag removed that one of their employees forgot to take off of an item of clothing that I had bought a couple of weeks before. I called in earlier that day to ask if it was possible to get it removed, and the woman I talked to told me it would be helpful to have the paper receipt, but to come in anyways and they can see what they can do. So, it didn't seem like there would've been a problem, as I hadn't been able to find the receipt yet. I went in and the woman told me that I had to have the original paper receipt or Ardene won't remove the tag. I explained why I didn't have the receipt (I had tried on the items, which fit me great, and had them set aside at home for a couple of weeks until I started packing for a trip and noticed the tag). But nope. "Sorry, it's policy". I told them I could prove with my bank account that I shopped there, and I was even willing to bring in all the other items I bought from there that day, to show the other items that I spent money on that day. They could have easily checked their computer to match it, but nope, it's "policy". I was pretty upset as I bought the item specifically for this trip and I had been pretty stressed out getting ready to leave. I went home and ended up calling again to ask if there was anything I can do as I still had not found the receipt... so the woman on the other end seemed to have felt bad for me and said, OK, come back before closing and they can see what they can do! So, I rushed back (as I had less than 10 mins to get there) and even grabbed all the other clothing I had bought to show them. When I arrived they were just closing up and I waved to the woman and she just looked at me and said sorry, there's nothing we can do for you at this time. Wait, what?! You just had me rush back and not even talk to me? I had my bank statement ready, to show that I had bought from Ardene that day, and she said, Ok, she would check the computer to match the dates and items. But when she came back she said, sorry, the computers are down now and you need the paper receipt anyways. I don't get it! Why have me rush back for the same answer? She knew I didn't have the receipt so, why have me come back?? It was their employee's fault for not taking the tag off in the first place and I'm the one being punished? What was I even doing there, then? It was really only $10, and they couldn't have helped me out at all for even $10? Nope, it's policy. I was SUPER upset as it was just a waste of time and energy and noone bothered to even do anything for me. Really bad customer service! They just don't seem to care about their regular costumers, and make them run around for them and then make them feel bad for doing it. It's really too bad because I'm in the hood and go in there ALL the time, as well as my friends, and they are going to lose some great regular customers.

I like this shop when I want to buy something cheap or last minute or boots on sale, tanks, funky lil pieces to add to my collections.. But unfortunately with this stuff it won't last very long. Recently was at the Oshawa Center location returning a few bathing suits that were defective, the strings had completely come out on the sides without being warn. Once arriving the assistant manager Bianca was very helpful, I planned to swap for the same style bathing suits but they no longer had any in my size so I received a store credit instead and I left feeling very positive about my experience. Bianca was so kind and understanding I would recommend shopping at this location! :)

This store changes clothing locations around the store so often, when I come in to look for things I always have to ask after looking for 30 minutes... the workers are aware of how annoying it is for customers and legitmetly speak it outloud, but couldn’t care to make it easier for them, so I’ve finally decided that since this is the last decent location Ardene holds (all of the others are complete utter jokes to shop in), and even this is garbage I’d rather shop online. What a waste of time for everyone. They really lost a customer.

Horrible place to shop all the employees plus the manager are incredibly rude not a single one comes to greet you their customer service is terrible. It’s hard to walk through the store as there are boxes and racks everywhere blocking all isles. The team are either extremely poorly trained or poorly managed (used to work at another store), they don't seem to know what they're doing and the customer pays more because of it. The system they use is cheap and awkward, so you need to know how to work with it, but I've had multiple members of staff ring me up now and every time I've had to correct the way they do it in order to get the best deal. Each time they seem annoyed and make no effort to understand how their deals work with their till system. After my most recent experience, I've decided it's not worth it to visit this store again.

Oh dear, what a disappointing experience we observed at this location. There were two employees in the store, one manager and one other. While I understand that Covid has meant that the store needs to implement new rules, it is not the managers responsibility to interrogate customers. The store has a two person per household rule, that is fine, however when I heard the manager accusing a customer of “breaking government rules” as they spoke to another customer (both in separate groups of two)I had enough. We put down our purchases and refused to support this store with our business. The manager (I wish I saw her name) personally attacked a customer. There were other ways that she could have spoken to the customer, that would have been polite and professional. Again, it is not her responsibility to make sure that customers are not speaking to each other. ARDENE - can you speak to this?

Great staff, had one staff member search through their entire stock to help me find a bikini set in my size, helped me mix and match to find something that looked nice(plus so hard to find my size) but they were determined and were a great help and in the end found exactly what I wanted. Never going back to this store, the manager is so arrogant and the worker as well. I bought a pair of shoes which were defective as the first time i wore it, its sole came out of it. Although I bought it from some other location but i was told that its ardene’s policy that will replace or refund things boughtfrom different ardene store as well so i took it to this location and choose another pairs to replace the defective one but the worker told me that she won’t replace it coz it doesn’t have tags on them even though i showed here the receipt and then afterwards the manager came and said i should take it back to the same store but she won’t accept that one and was quiet rude from the way she spoke. So yeah never buy stuff from them, they won’t cooperate incase you face any problem.

Ardene's is a great place to shop, especially for teenaged girls. My only complaint is that their shirts are somewhat revealing or they are completely covering everything, there aren't many options in between. However, the staff are all incredibly friendly which in my opinion, makes up for the lack of the in-between clothes.

I just want to say that the ladies at the Kingsgate location are hard working and I want to say made my Christmas shopping so easy and stress free. They had everything I needed and found what I was looking for. My 4 niceces will love all the gifts I purchased. I never write reviews but am hoping the staff that were working tonight see this. There was a girl that came in and asked the two ladies at the front desk if she could apply for a job. They explained that you must apply online and she gladly said thank you and left. After she left, the two ladies at the front desk proceeded to make fun of the girl who had asked to apply! I was disgusted! They were talking loudly enough that I could hear and when I truned around to make eye contact with them to ensure they were aware that I could hear, the one girl says “oh but she was nice though”. I could not believe they would make fun of someone who wanted to be a part of their team. Sad to see. What else do you say behind your customers backs?

Loved stopping by here to get accessories. Usually the staff here who are at the cash and help out are super nice. Today I had a run-in with someone I think is the manager and she was ridiculously rude. I understand that these are all difficult times but we are all trying to figure out how to be out in public spaces again and her attitude was very unnecessary. Kingsgate is an easy go-to for me to shop all things but I’ll never go to this Ardene’s location again.

Love this place for their "specials" on leggings, shoes, bra and panties, hoodies, etc. Be careful of pricing. I always get cashier to double check that the item I want actually is the sale price...if not on sale today check in a week or two and price may have dropped or another sale such as one at regular $ and second item at 50% off. Always a good selection of products and their own brand ("Move" in the exercise wear of leggings, etc) is so soft, comfortable and well made. I've found a lot of bad stitching with some other brands and am pretty impressed that so far I have only bought one item where the sewing was crummy and it was the strap on a shirt, most times it's pretty good for the price. Check it out next time you walk past an Ardene store.

The WORST customer service experience I have ever encountered. The staff are very lazy and unfriendly except for one young lady named Courtney, who was the only employee working that day that acknowledged my patronage with a "thank you". I will continue to shop at Ardene's, as it is a Canadian company, but under no circumstances will I frequent the Lindsay Ontario store unless some of the employees learn the subtle art of customer service.

I went shopping at this location today with my partner (me a 24 year old woman and him a 34 year old man) when the store was fairly empty. We live in the neighbourhood and frequent Kingsgate mall. I had picked a few items to try on and he had picked out a long sleeve shirt to try on. Upon approaching the fitting rooms, the staff informed my partner that he could not try on the shirt because "only women are allowed in the change room". This was quite upsetting as he tends to wear lots of dresses, skirts and femme items. We were quite taken aback. I am not sure if this is a store policy but if so it should be changed. That is an oppressive policy against trans people and anyone who is gender non-binary. I will not be returning to this location.

I know we’re in a pandemic and certainly it leaves employees stressed and overwhelmed with amount of people without masks. I would like to review saying they’ve done quite a tremendous job dealing with them and working hard. Yes, employees will chit chat and whatnot during their work, but doesn’t other store employees do the same? Now, I know that is not an excuse but I know these girls worked hard and they’ve helped me with quite a lot. There will be good days and bad days during the weeks of work but some people should realize that. I’ve had a lovely conversation to a lady after my purchase about many things and she was quite lovely! Ardene has a lot of affordable comfortable clothing for those who are on a budget and that’s why I love this store.

Would be a nice place to shop if the manager would change her attitude. Never a smile on her face, doesn’t greet you or make you feel welcome and is constantly watching you as if you are going to steal, but yet doesn’t ask you if you need a change room when your arms are filled with clothes. When you do ask for a change room, just be prepared to get an evil eye from her and possibly an eye roll, or like I seen, an “ugh” and a glare. After being a regular customer for 2 years, you would think there would be a bit of respect for not only me but everyone else who steps foot in the store.

Would give zero stars if possible. Went in with my daughter's tonight and was greeted with silent glares instead of a hello or anything remotely friendly. The staff seemed to watch us the entire time and even seemed to scowl whenever they heard my daughter's voice. I felt like we were not welcome in that store. When was time to pay we approached to an empty line up and nobody there to help us. I know they seen us as they were watching us from the moment we went in. It wasn't until another customer approached the line up that they came to help us. Still no greeting or a friendly smile towards my young daughters or myself. After paying we got a forced "thank..." Before she turned away from us. A common professional courtesy would have been all that we could expect. I don't know if it was because of who me and my daughter's are or if they are genuinely very bad at customer service or what. All I do know is don't think we'll go back anytime soon. Very unfriendly place.
