This Mall is classified in the category of Shopping mall.
Ouside of the Tims, Dollarama, Econofitness and a decent food court there is nothing else of note. Easy access to McGill metro and the underground city. Decent little comic shop there too.
Quiet atmosphere. Some of staffs are cool and friendly. My to-go place for socializing with friends on every last day before I go back to my city.
Downtown Montreal is cool not just for shopping but for a mesmerising walk...
Small mall attached to the biggest one. Not a whole lot except the food court which is pretty decent, dollar store, timmies, a cool comic book store, the gym amd the entrance to the bay
Simply beautiful place, best to go when it's not raining
Awesome Church.. must visit!
Not many stores anymore. Lots of empty spaces for rent. There is a great buffet style cafeteria there though. Perfect for a fast bite! Really the only good thing. Used to be great a very long time ago :-/
Nice variety of shops/ restaurants. Clean environment also.
The place is OK. Very beautiful from the outside and the church next to it is a must see for any tourist. The shops inside are OK too, anything that you couldn't get anywhere else though. I see more use in the access it provides through the underground path to hundreds of other shops.
Not a ton of options but they do have a few staple clothing stores.
I love it! Well placed, clean, efficient! Don't miss the plant shop!
Nice and cozy underground mall. Specially during the cold winters of montreal.
Incredibly simple. Blessed with simplicity
Got my daughter some nice ear rings. Very happy about that. Good jewelry spot.
well maintained, clean bathroom, great place for standard office lunch and very convenient location
Nice to visit we walked underground to see what’s in there
Nice stores, but nothing out of the ordinary
Nice shopping mall with nice and open food court to sit and enjoy your food and a very nice Souvenir store that has one of the best collections of souvenir gifts
This mall makes me feel like I am stuck in a time machine that didn't budge from the 80s. Nothing inherently awful about it (not more than most malls at least), but it's a very narrow layout since it's downtown, which adds to the impression of being in a time-warp.
It is a place I visit a few times a year. It's a bit depressing. Going underground is more fun for kids.
Great place to shop. Signs inside Bay store dont show subway or washrooms except on quarter inch font on a poster.
A good standard shopping mall. The main benefit being that this place is attached to the rest of the underground malls...
Good indoor mall. Worth visiting and trying out the food court. Location wise it's amazing with the metro and next to the Bay. I would suggest to anyone wanting to visit Montreal's underground.
This place is depressing with no interesting stores. Even Ottawa has nicer places than this.
♡
Good selection of stores and restaurants. Close to my work, direct access from McGill metro station, very useful.
Cool shopping mall with some OK stores. I didn't even realize this existed until last week I always thought it was a metro station entrance or something.
The Catholic Church is free for entrance but request visitors to be discreet when there is service. The interior of the rotunda is very detailed and the ceiling is high.
Good place before covid19. Not now.
The mall has some good stores but a lot of them are in odd corners because there's a lot of empty store locations in the middle
All you need, and animals are included!
Clean full shopping arcade ..good mix of retailers. Food court was redone few years ago in a modern white but can look dated. Like easy access to metro and other shopping centers
Hello, my name is Mahmoud, I am 34 years old, a Syrian refugee in Turkey, and I am single. Can you help me travel to Canada? I am single and I have two brothers who are disabled in Syria and my mother is elderly and I have two sisters and I work to support them. This is my number 00905386902101
As other reviewers noted, this is an average mall whose chief advantage is its connection to McGill metro and the underground city. The food court area has a nice branch of Sushi Shop and a self-serve buffet Olly Fresco's but not all restaurants open on weekends. The Sukiyaki restaurant has been closed for more than 2 years even though its façade still stands.
Best thing about it is EB games, plus there is a good luxurious SAQ Signature. No food court or a good snack bar. It has an access to McGill metro station also connected to Eaton Center.
Clean, decent options for food and has my favorite massage therapist (Sante Oriental)
Quite a huge space filled up with shopping places and tons of options to eat! But a good chance to get lost if you're new to the place
Nice place with different stores and a food court underground.
Good place to stop in the middle of the day when possible.
Cute little pop Up event with grey goose & Olympico
Great food experience at Olly Fresco's fresh and inspiring.
good selection of stores but major renovations happening
right in the heart of the city. This mall has mutltiple store. you are almost certain to find what you are looking for.
I simply love this place, it's really nice to shop there and there are lots of stores.
Just a basic mall that is more convenient for its access to the metro and the superior Eaton Center mall.
Aside from the Linen Chest, Olly Fesco's and a rather large Econofitness, there's not much going on in this mall. Most of the food court and stores have closed permanently due to covid. Connects to the other underground malls.
This place is just a huge underground mall. I have never seen sonething so conplex and underground. I understand how it got the name Underground City. Would definitely be useful in the winter to get from place to place.
Many small shops offering variety of products mainly clothing and electronics. Several restaurants court yards. This mall is part of the Underground city. It is connected with galeries. Girls who want to shop for shoes and dresses this is the place to be.
Very friendly service. Great shopping center.Nice shops! We had a great shopping adventure.
Never one will guess that the church is under pillotties. Access to merchands all over. This priest on guard on 1911 went over. The Last visit to a sunday ceremonie, last year , the rainbow had suddenly something going with the acceptance of differences; the guay flag! Will it burn, this hell or what. But no soul, individual or follower should wake up!
A nice place if you want to visit the subway and a lot of fancy stores and food places too.
I like their food court it has good options to choose from.
Nice place to make a purchase
This is a few shops stashed away in a old building. I was not that impressed with the Promenade cathedrale and would not go out of my way to shop there. I was hoping to go up into the tower but this is closed off to the public and will only open if you book a function according to the very grumpy security guard. Nice picture of the outside is the upside.
Good because it connects with a couple of metro stations and the eaton center.
Not the next mal around. But it's connected to the underground city so it's convenient
Lots of stores. Spacious but i wouldn't say it's the most organized shopping mall, easy to lose orientation. Free wifi and great food court, gym, hair salon, pharmacy - basically all u may need
Doors where closes when people where still inside after hours.had to go through the la baie to exit. That was not enjoyable because that meant having to ensure the parfums département
Nice place its just this covid make it worse lots of close store but still nice to check out the rest of the stores that were open
It is always a good plan to go and walk for a while, great point to meet people.
The church was beautiful and an amazing sight to behold! The architecture and detail of the building and that time period is just absolutely stunning!! Just be careful when you go in and be quiet in respect, because they may be having Mass.
Good selection of shops. Connected to Eaton Center. Its a must see place in Downtown Montréal!
Amazing little shopping centre with an interesting set of shops away from the mainstream found in the nearby centres.
Its a huge shopping mall and you could spend a lot of time here. It has some great shops and the people are nice. ---8/10---
Very nice Cathedral. We had a chance to see it covered in snow; another top tourist spot
Central mall with lots of shops and places to eat. We stopped off here for coffee when the eating area next to the train station was packed. Light and airy compared to that.
The place was in construction. Still not bad
Excellent mall in the downtown Montreal area that has a very good selection of shops.
I go there regularly for lunch. A lot of choices for quick lunch. Access to other parts of the Montreal underground city.
Needs am update in the way the mall is set up. Stuck in the 80's.
Hey, a mall! Remember those?
Great mall but small, you won't find everything you need but I enjoy that it isn't over crowded.
Decent, but not impressive. I liked the food court in particular. The shops; not so much.
All the stores at subway level for easy access to get home when snowing.
Yet another shopping mall underground. Food court is vast, shops are standard. Go for black Friday and get your stuff needs fullfil... I suppose.
Has everything u need. From food to clothes cellphones and many more
Pretty nice underground shopping mall. I'm a tourist and do not speak French, so I struggled understanding all the signs, menus etc. Clean and tidy.
Usually not crowded because there are few stores. Food court is ok. Good selection of food.
One of the best places to buy... underground city .. 1????
Beautiful, quiet spot for a break from the hussel and bussel of the busy, loud city
Love Omnibus in this mall. One of the best comic book stores in the city
With linen chest, dollarama, timmies its a pretty nice place but they're opening hours are pretty limited.
Foodcourt and some shops. Also directly connected to the metro. You can also access eatons center through the underground tunnel if it is raining outside
Fun shipping mall, I would definitely shop there again...
Very Nice place. .... go to take walk and you be happy
Very unique pieces. Service is wonderful. The owner is very warm and welcoming. I bought 2 pieces there. A must visit in Montreal
Not that good quality
The best season to shop...
I love this city.. Montréal is just awesome.
Went here for the Tim Hortons. The mall is below street level where you take an escalator down and back up. The shops seemed nice but I didnt go in any of them. It was clean and brightly lit.
Sort of stumbled onto this as we wer exploring the city. Lots of unique stores that close relatively early in the evening. Connects to the Eaton Centre as well!
I really like this shopping centre. Recommend it
I go here often for lunches. I'm not a huge fan of the shopping mall itself but the food court has a couple great options. There's some standard options like McDonald's and subway but the best places are Olly Fresco's and Villa Madina. You can tell by the line ups that they are the good ones. The best part of the promenade itself is that it connects the underground city of Montreal. You can go underground at the bay store and pop up all over the place. In the winter and when it's raining it's a really nice option to be able to travel so much indoors. It also let's you get away from the constant construction on st Catherine street. A couple key places you can travel underground world be place Ville Marie and the Scotia Bank cinema. You also get access to the metro station and like 7 other shopping malls.
Full of spiritual atmosphere
Calm, and outstanding. You may find anything you want there
The place is awesome. It has a cathedral at one side and many shops and eating joints on the other. But due to heavy construction and renovations taking place, the traffic can be high with no parking space. So better plan ahead or take an Uber/ transit.
The place looks deserted, lots of stores closed ???? downgrading to 3stars,not happening location
Shops are nice but the bathroom... Like finding needles in the toilet? Bunch of those.
There are so many stores with lots of variety. Its a must visit mall and it’s great for winter because it’s all underground and covered. You can spend a whole day going through all the stores.
An okay small mall that is connected to other malls with bigger and less congested food courts. This mall is in a beautiful location under Christ Church Cathedral and connects to Mcgill Metro and the Eaton's Centre. Food court can feel creepy, unpleasant and intrusive at times and the Montreal Trust food court seems to offer a much nicer, professional and consistent experience, IMO. The public bathroom doors in this mall can be flimsy and a push from an inconsiderate and inpatient customer can open up the door and interactions can be random, one sided with little concern for privacy and personal space and can feel very rough at times, IMO. Some staff don't or won't speak English, look disgusted when you speak French and once I saw a male security guard actually inside the woman's bathroom. Ignoring the ghetto traps which are typical when people don't use positive language and interpersonal skills. It looks like a neat underground mall when you first see it cause it is under a beautiful cathedral and some of the stores are pretty nice but there is also a random, silent, creepy and angry cultural element too, which could take you by surprise and waste your time, IMO.
Always some bums hanging around. Some smelly spots near the food court.
Nice place, many different store.
Pretty much the experience you would expect from a shopping mall. Nothing bad, but nothing out of the ordinary either.
Underground shopping mall in downtown Montreal. Has a wide variety of stores as you make your way through. It actually connects the Bay all the way to the Eaton Center so in the winter you don’t have to even go outside. If you become an expert of the underground you can actually get to many other places without having to go outside (I once made it all the way to Complexe Desjardins through the Palais de Congrès). There is a food court along the way as well as an EB games and an SAQ. It also connects to an Indigo and the ScotiaBank movie theatre.
Huge or grande store! Out of style because of Amazon and internet services or other options! The marketing world is fast changing also the Avenue of 60+ is having its effect. The real choice is how to continue to survive in a fast changing climate and financial world. Keep shopping no longer it's old meaning. Memories die hard!
Same as any of the underground city: A necessity in the winter but avoidable in the summer. It is cool to look at the history of the shops and to see photos of the cathedral lifted to make way for the shops.
The new market place is nice. A bit expensive, but nice. The food court has been improoved.
Beautiful from outside and have many interesting stores inside.
It is like eaton center and there are restaurants, and stores and I bought liquid soap for dishes a good prices and clothes.
Great circulation, good selection of stores, was there on a Sunday morning...
Pretty good drinks here. Haven’t tried the food
Great place to shop. Clean and well laid out.
Great place for shopping with most common brands and very accessible from the metro station.
Most stores are closed unfortunately following Covid. There's not much to see and most places close early on most days. There's the Dollarama, a comic book store, and the food court as the only saving grace.
A nice place to relax and see the contrast between the cathedral's old architecture and that of the surrounding modern buildings.
This is a cool place for shopping.. just enjoyed the visit
Good place and mall where you can shop and find the thing you need.
This church is really amazing and beautiful. There are a lot of pretty colors and Christians pictures, sculptures and small place where you can pray to God. I really loved to visit this place.
As most observations will confirm, the food court is good with decent selection. Store selection perhaps not so much however, it is connected internally to other mall-type environments. Also easily accessible by McGill metro.
Part of the Montréal underground network this shopping center boasts a variety of retail stores as well as several fast food restaurants. This complex also serves as a way to navigate the downtown core when the temperature drops in the winter or if it is inclement any time of the year. This shopping center is also connected to the Montréal metro system making it easily accessible by public transit
Nice mall right next to McGill metro station. Food court with good options.
Not sure if I would buy anything at any of these places, but fun to walk around
Very good deals
Made for the office crowd: closes at 6, not a whole lot of stores. Good food court.
Underground mall with easy access to other downtown malls. Nice food court.
This mall used to be one of the best malls downtown back in the 90s. Now, it's probably the worse in Montreal.
Connected to 4 other malls. Good stores and Olio is a must for food and coffee.
I go there for the food court and the choices are great.
I love walking inside this mall just to wander like vagabond
This is one of the best street in Canada. Summer is best time to visit this street because almost all shop provide have discount on branded products and people can feel like touriste place.
Good place in winter, you can expend a lot of time, also in summer
Not a huge selection of stores. Food court is average. this mall is very underwhelming
It's not so bad. But other malls on both sides 8s much more attractive with more offers.
Went to Tim's. Was a pretty good Tim's. I rate the Tim's 10/10. The rest of the mall seemed pretty good though.
Not many shop in that mini mall
You can park indoors here for $7 on the weekends. Use entrance on Union Street. Underground shops connect with the Eaton's centre.
Could be better. The place could use some good renovations
Has important access to the metro. The food court area has been renovated a couple of years ago. The wheelchair access is a bit complicated
Its a big mall that is connected to another big mall that is connected to another big mall that... you get the idea. Giant mall system connected to each other with tunnels and metro systems. Great for in the winter!
Great place to visit. But needs just a bit more variety with brands.
Good selection of stores
I found out this place very good for window shopping ,as it is less crowdy comparing other near malls to it.
So many cathedrals, one better looking then the next. They are all beautiful!
Nice food court options in a downtown underground shopping mall.
It's a shame, some of the most amazing real estate in the city gone to waste. The actual mall is empty....as in no merchants. There is a probably 5% of the space rented out. It's so cool that it attached to so many other buildings underground. And the actual history behind is still cool hence why the place got 3 stars
I went to eat at Olly Fresh to see how it compares to the one at the Scotiabank Cineplex. I believe this one is much better since they change the food available in the buffet every day. Today I have Chinese noodles with beef broccoli, sweet and spicy chicken with bean salad. The beef was tough and chewy but the sweet and spicy chicken was very good, the noodles was also very good except it needed a little bit more salt. I highly recommend the Olly Fresh in the McGill metro.
I usually pass through it more than anything, but it has a few good shops.
The foodcourt is great and the selection of shops, although small are very catering to the needs of a person.
Many shops and good food court options.
Really a nice place to shop
Small shopping center that's recentlyvgotten bigger by taking over the church under which it's always been. Upper parts looks snazzy but its still empty
Best places to go are Olly Fresco's for healthy food, and the Éconifitness for working out. I'm not a huge shopper, so can't vouch for the stores located here.
There is a metro station inside and the promenades is under ground and there is so many different shapes for all what you need
Very nice, we'll connected to the metro and The Eaton center.
If you need to shop any store you can think of is here And often good sales
Good example of an indoor mall, solid selection of stores.
The Reitmans here is one of the best. Very large, lots of selection in styles, items and sizes. Customer service one of the best.
Place is always renovated and has the nostalgic look we live through the years
Just an other shopping mall
Big mall connected to several others through underground tunnels. Convenient access to Metro station and St. Catherine's Street.
Nice underground shopping centre, links up to other ones in the area and can be a bit of a labrynth
The LINEN CHEST and Dollarama SEEM TO BE WHERE THE SHOPPING ACTIVITY IS. "boring"
Lots of great stores and boutiques. Access by Montreal underground and McGill metro station. Food court. ATM.
Small but nice with great shops and wonderful staff
Great underground shopping, food and everything else you need all tied to Montreal's most prominent skyscrapers.
I love to go to librairie omnibus, for there great selection and most of all there awesome service
This is ideal place to go by metro and not car cause it's hard to find a parking spot
Cool
Shopping mall seems a little bit run down now. In the 1990's I used to love shopping there. It does not seems as interesting and vibrant now...
This mall is pretty much underground and is one floored aside of some stairs and ramps here & there and the exits to street levels are done with escalators so it doesn't have a main hall with multiples floors at the sides, a feature that exists on nearby malls such as Montreal's Eaton Centre & Montreal Trust. It's pretty crowded when I went there during boxing day with lines at the entrances of clothing stores. It is connected to McGill Metro station, part of the Underground City RESO network. Mainly went there for Dollarama & there's a good amount of restaurants at the dining area.
