REVIEWS OF International Village Mall IN British Columbia

Rinaldo Ferlin (Ray Ferlin)

Good place to buy cell cover.

Moises T

They have a good cellphone repair place downstairs near the Japanese store. Food court no that good Free Parking

Corey Haslett

most places in there are closed or run down

Elisha Martin

Washroom in this mall has a lot of homeless people and doing drugs. I don't mind if they use it, it's just the drugs part.

Tia Sieber

I like going here, it's got every thing I need in one convenient mall!

Nikki lynne

It's a small mall conveniently located in tinseltown. Move cineplex upstairs along with a food court.

MiMi Le

The mall is in the center downtown. With McDonald is right in the front. The food court on the second floor is also a good place for lunch with wide range of shops and foods. You should check this out.

For the location next to Chinatown and bordering downtown and Yaletown, International Village aka Tinseltown is a connecting stop versus a destination. It serves as a convenience to locals by providing essentials and services, as well as, a food court, a theatre, and covered underground parking. They have come couple Chinese furniture or antique shops that are unique and also a retail art gallery which adds interest. Despite the location with proximity to historic skid row, the management seem to keep the place running well with visible security onsite and it never looks run down. It originally planned to have more high profile stores, but for whatever reason, hosts storefronts for services more so than retail. Nonetheless, if you are in the area and looking for a clean safe haven in the inner-city to have a meal, coffee, or movie, you can come here.

Interesting architectural design. Whoever manages this mall has not understood Vancouver retail market and the special dynamics and clientele close to China town. Retailers come and go and the vacancy rate remains extremely high. Considering the new developments around the area, this mall could be filled with life. However, the cinema has survived since day one and I love the seats and audio installation.

The food court options are definitely the highlight here. Unfortunately the rest of this place just doesn’t seem to appeal to me in any fashion whatsoever. I am here once a week to help someone I work with and it never fails: there is always someone freaking out, yelling at the top of their lungs, homeless people are strewn about here waiting for people to leave their food scraps at the table so they can swoop in and grab it. I’ve nothing against helping homeless people but this does not make it an attractive option to shop or eat here. The majority of the shops feel like leftover shops forgotten in the 90s vibe. I met a family that just arrived from Singapore and they were shopping here, asking for some advice on what to see here...I told them to see their way to the skytrain and go to Pacific Centre ASAP. I have no ties to this place but and felt too embarrassed to recommend anything here.

Andrew Ho

I went to change battery for my digital watch. One of the booths indicates that five or ten dollars for parts and labour for the changing. I asked for the difference. That said, five dollar battery is from China and ten dollars is form Japan. I picked one and that guy changed for me in 2 minutes. Overall, the service is BRAVO.

Adrian Mandy

A very strange mall, eclectic mix of shops that have little or no interest for me. I think they have trouble attracting good tenants because of the area. The only reason I go here is for the cinema.

Jamie Bowman

The mall is so so but I love Community eyewear. The staff there is very helpful and the variety of pricing is very good.

Steph Stpierre

I love this mini mall

Steve Wong

Great Mall to see it All. ????

Robbert de Groot

Reminds me a little or malls in Asia. Otherwise just an average mall. Underground parking lot is tight. I am always impressed with how some manage to park their beast of a car there. I'm glad I drive a Fit.

Jeff Thorlacius

What a waste of concrete. Must be at least 60% vacant, and lots of the stores that are there are "unique", if not sketchy (eg cheap imported jewellery/electronic accessories/household goods).

Paul S.O. Barbeau

Dirty, vacant and uninteresting. Avoid it at all cost.

Carol J. Sutton

Went to Catfe. An excellent outing. There may be a new pet in our home one day soon. We'll see!

Leanne

The International Village Mall has a unique and eclectic variety of stores and kiosks. For example: shoe stores, a game store, an Asian inspired dollar store, a movie theatre, etc. There is a good size food court as well. I was surprised how large this mall is because from street view it is somewhat hidden. I’m really glad I discovered it! ***IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL KINDLY “LIKE” IT***

Micah Chiang

It's a very quiet, almost dead, atmosphere. The cineplex, 7-Eleven, and their own kind of Daiso, are their "busiest" locations.

Mike Lockwood

it was freindly& fun.the shops were nice...the mall not too large.all in all , a pleasant day trip.id do it again

Ken Halton

Stores include shoes, cellphones, plants, law offices, gaming, board games, jewelry, authentic African wear and gifts, cool Korean and Japanese variety store of home and snacks merchandise, Starbucks, eyeglasses, cat Cafe, drugstore, Caveman Cafe, a licensed restaurant, food court on upper level, movie theater, McDonalds, public restrooms, wheelchair accessible.

kirupaa shankar

China market is very cheap. Fruits nd vegetables are fresh and very cheap compared to walmart and other stores. Loved it

Ajay Soin

Escalators are mostly out of order. The place is clearly up for renovation. Cineplex can do a better job maintaining infrastructure.

Rodney Newton

There are some empty stores for years, due to lack of shoppers. There is a great annual, Chinese lunar new year celebration here, Rooster in 2017. Chinese-speaking customers are the majority. Last night, the # 8 order of one item of Syrian food was delicious at the 2nd floor food court. My Chinese friend and I both loved the # 8 item. The lone, male cook asked how spicy we wanted our one item, mildly spicy we wanted to tell him. The bill was $20, so $10 per # 8 of Syrian food. Needed extra napkins for meaty # 8. I usually go to the Starbuck's Coffee, the renovated McDonald's restaurant or Cineplex Odeon movie theatre on the third floor, for the last, few years.

Rich Fenlon

Small shops and stalls with low end imported electronics and phone accessories. Some fairly priced others questionable. Id be dubious about spending extra for a known brand as I would imagine it to be imported too and not necessarily legit

Jorge Reyes

Stàffs at McDonald's and 7-11 are helpful. So is the computer service stores. Will see a show when cinemas open.

Anders Falk

Free Parking, large food court. Movie theatres. This is a good place to watch movies and grab some fast food on the way. There is an eclectic mix of stores with Rexall, McDonald’s and a Cold Beer and Wine ship you can enter from the street. Inside you will find a Cel phone repair shop, Cel phone kiosk and various stores. It’s located at the edge of the DTES so this mall has a diverse mix of patrons. Overall it’s a bit dated and run down but has its charm..

Jennifer Marie Broeders

Pretty much an empty mall ..good spot to use the washroom in cuz they are nice and clean, but that's about it.

Aftaab Gulam

Still my favourite cinema in the city thanks to easy parking and a reasonable food fare. I'm not sure why else you'd want to visit the mall. It seems so dead after all these years.

Spider Fingers

I think this may be my favourite mall in Vancouver. It’s so unique and I love the movie theatre. The location is great too.

Bronwynn Whiteley

the plant booth is the best plant booth ive ever seen and the food court has literally the best food in it, not a single burger, it's the best. also my friends show their films here and that is good. ALSO Shiny Tea is a good bubble tea place but they don't make big enough teas, bubble king makes bigger teas

Dev VanCity

Nice mall with a Chinese grocery store, movie theatre, 7-11, McDonald's and a food court

Mohawk First nations

I dont like malls i tolerate them if i have to but generally dont like them all over priced and snobby people Thats just me

Alexis S

It's an okay mall, there's only 2-3 shops that I go to in here. Good for phone cases or phone repair. Tanning salon, food court, movie theatre, dollar store, supplement store, a couple clothing/shoe stores, and a catfe.

Lindsay Wells

Such an odd mall with hardly any relevant stores. However parking is free for first 2 hrs and those going to Cinemark movie theater on the top floor.

Nina Halliday

Authentic Thai Food Red Chile Coconut Milk with chicken and bamboo shoots, pineapple and red peppers and a small bowl of Jasmine Rice

Emi Macdonald

Catfè was 100% my favourite part! We got bubble tea and went up to the theatre aswell, all were pretty good! Our trip to the Japanese Dollarstore was a great investment and hit to my bank account!

Blake Baker

Nifty little mall, I often come here to burn some time in the footcourt when I'm waiting for laundry at a nearby laundromat. It's nice that from there u can reach several open wifis. Haven't visited most of the shops but I slowly am over time, first time I've seen a 7/11 in a mall. Nice little board game shop nearby ????

Paul van Aspert

People around here call it Tinseltown. For many years this place was nothing more than a giant hole in the ground. Literally! There's a very high end audio store there, and many other very cool shops. It's worth the visit.

Jason York (Jork21)

Right near Chinatown... Has a bunch of Asian stores, a food court with mostly Asian foods, a small "Daiso" type store, board games, McDonald's, Starbucks, liquor store, free 2 hr parking, and a movie theatre at the top. Oh, and don't forget to visit the "Catfe"... If you like cats!

Pam A.

Great place to buy Asian food items and other nick-nacks.

Mário Nicoletti

The place is nice. They have a money exchange, drugstore (Rexall) where you can buy some food items and beverages. There's also a Japanese shop with many items to home and office supplies, plus beauty items. The only thing that could improve is the cleaning of their bathrooms.

Davin Boutang

when it was 1st beiing developed I thought it was going to compete with Metro Town.... how disappointing. Wonder what went wrong in planning

Davin Boutang

Paul Wing

Well worth seeing. . Movie Theater. . Star Bucks. . A great soup places on main floor and Food Court. A good size Dollar type store. Boot and shoe stores . Cell repairs. Drug store. . Parking for customers underground .

Stacy Berg

Not many stores but ok movie theater, the absolute worst 711 I've ever had to experience the staff there have verbally assulted me and the security guard had physicaly assulted me

emily tong

weird mall with some cool little shops, good eats, and one of the better cineplexes

Anais M

Their store selection is pretty poor but has a Cineplex theatre so that gives it points I wish they had some better selection of stores

davin boutang

Perfect location with great potential to become a hybrid Asian market / shopping mall

Bradley Gagne

Has theatre, decent food court, McDonald, 7-11 just to name a few as well as a drug store.

Nova Ramos

Quite a spacious place. There aren't much stores for shopping (clothes, etc.), but the stores there are quite interesting. From a salon with elaborate décor to a café with cats, the place is definitely worth checking out. I often go to that place for watching foreign movies or shopping at Yoko Yaya — an Asian version of a dollar store, but with consisting more variety and quality.

Luke Minaker

Not a great mall for shopping, but there are some great little food spots.

Huck Baldwin

Strange mall with strange shops...The Catfe is cool, and I like the movie theatre with free parking. Caveman is a great healthy fast food place. The rest of the mall I pass on.

saptarshi mallick

It was okay. The mall had a lot of security and all. We went to watch a movie there, and it was not bad. It's a small mall but a lot of things are pretty much available.

Luyi Zhang

Board game store is really interesting.

Donald Mc Donald

A great place to go if you have many things to shop for there is everything here from movies too cell phones. Check it out, you will not be disappointed ????

C G

Seemed pretty empty when I was there.

Debbie Forbes

Love the selection of independent, thoughtful and international films shown at the Cineplex at this particular location. The Korean language films are very well supported by the local Korean community. Some block busters come here for a run after they've had their first run at a more centrally located cinema. The Touch of Africa is my go to place for attractively priced unrefined shea butter from Africa.. The amber resin, if in stock, is to die for. The Vikings, Dragons and Fairies store never lets me down if money is burning a hole in my pocket. A fair amount of my jewelry is from this location and I always leave wanting more ;-) Have to give a shout out to Caveman Foods and Deli for their great food, and decent portions. If communal dining is your thing the option is there but for introverts made anxious by the pressure of conversation with strangers, there is an ample selection of smaller tables. I could do without the open open/full garbage bin though, so am always careful to sit well away from it.

Rob Mitzel

Probably one of the best food courts you will find downtown!

Dirk Jonker

Nice mall. I ate the Nasi Goreng @ Bali Thai, super good & very spicy. You get lots. Lady @ the counter was nice.

Ivory M

Great go to mall if u need cell phone accessories and any other things not much of a mall

Ralf Maynard

International Village Mall is an inner city mall that has cell phone, footwear, liquor, home decor, optometrist, and business cc entres stores and services.

Billy Lew

This place seems okay. Good shop and all. But they need to work on the washrooms. I mean it felt like it has not been cleaned for over a month and most of the stalls are a complete mess. Those janitors need to do a better job.

Toni Glick

Interesting place with some very fun unique shops and a cineplex close to home. The mall still needs filling up though it has improved greatly over the past few years.

Edvard

Old-school mall, but the theater has good movies playing & a greater variety of films than most mainstream theatres ????

Tee Courtepatte

This is so bad your guys's mall is getting so bored that I found my bro passed out in front of the mall because he was so displeased with what was only open in the mall sad people sad

zzz zzz

Parking lot top or bottom usually full by noon. Go there before 1130am or you be stuck looking for parking.

Noel Eaton

The mall is mostly empty, but does contain Rain City games, a stupendous board game store.

seansbrain

For such a centrally located mall, it has sadly never lived up to its potential. That said, without having any large retailers here, there are a couple of reasons to come here, most notably the Tinseltown theatres (which are smallish but quite nice) and Yoko Yaya (the equivalent of a Japanese dollar store).

cheffy docherty

I love this mall it's close to home they have almost everything I need here. Almost. I wish the McDonald's was open a little later and the 711 wasn't so sticky the floors almost take me out everytime I go there.

Danielle Turone

Very few stores and a bit grungy to be honest. The washroom on the ground level is really dirty and gross. However theres a cineplex movie theater and an awesome dollar store called Yoko Yaya that I love.

Morgan H

It's a decent little mall for its size, a few cool stores, McDonald's, movie theater upstairs, it's a Cineplex. Food court upstairs too. They have a Goldie's pizza across from the McDonald's. Liquor store on the side outdoors, Starbucks, I think a Rexal. Close to stadium SkyTrain and T&T market.

Today, the Mall has completely changed from 3 or so years ago; it has become very unique from other malls and is also almost fully occupied. A lot of changes have been made to improve the Mall to attract more shoppers. The Stores at this Mall are quite interesting and deserve to be noticed: Art Galleries-Ayden, Revival Art & International Art, Contemporary to Modern Art Children's Book Store - In (5) Languages: English, French, Russian, Spanish & Ital. Food Court/Restaurants - International Dishes: South Asian, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Sri Lankan, Mexican, Persian (Iranian), Vietnamese, Bubble Tea (Taiwanese), Mediterranean, Coffee Shop, Noodle House, Sandwich, Burgers etc Retail Shops - High-end to mid-priced Jewelries, Clothing & Accessories, Shoes, Mobile Phones, 2 dollar Japanese Store, Gift Shops, Computer (Apple) Store, Lotto, Convenience Stores, Smokes, Pharmacy, Business Center, Antique Store, Furniture Store, African Wares, Specialty Lighting Store, Fantasy Fairies & Vikings Store, Tea Shop Services - Shoe Repair, Tax Accounting, Web Design, Tailoring & Dry Cleaning, Body Art (Tattoo & Piercing Shop), Money Exchange/Travel Services, Tanning Salon, Concert Ticket, Barber Shop, Beauty Salon/Massage, Foot Massage and Reflexology, Mortgage Company, Computer Repairs, Cell Phone Repairs, Retailers Marketing, Eyeglass & Eyewear, Restaurants, 12 Cinemas at the Cineplex. 3 Very Good reasons to come to this mall: 1. Excellent big clean movie theater 2.Absolutely Awesome fantasy store with Viking stuff too, and HUNDREDS of U.S. made fantasy tees for something like 20$ each. Very nice customer service there. 3. Excellent big clean Japanese dollar store with crazy Japanese candy! And stationary from another world. Smallest stapler ever. Make sure to read the hilarious packaging. The mall has very cool architecture. I thought it was weird that there was no customer service counter/ directory. There are a lot of interesting small stores. No stores were open at 10 am. Come after noon, when everything's open. I liked this mall. It wasn't plastic like all the other malls with all their identical stores and restaurants. It's mostly small businesses. Shop locally, right? And you can walk around without tripping over a thousand teenagers.

Levi Frederick

Run down and gloomy. But catfe and find and seek are in there. Defintly the highlights oh and the board game shop! Dope worth going in the mall for those things!

Daryll P

NASTY NASTY NASTY bathrooms! Oh my goodness! Burn marks, "stuff" smeared everywhere. Smells of who knows what.....Stay away! The stores are fine I'm sure, but for what this mall is trying to be, why would you think that it is acceptable to have such GROSS bathrooms?

David Jolivet

Wheelchair accessible, very relaxed and open atmosphere, it hosts the Japanese dollar store, Rexall drug store numerous kiosks. Up stairs by Escalator or elevator. upscale dogie food place, two African hairstyle shops at reasonable rates. On the main level there is phone repair and sales desk. There is a chatr /Rogers desk, Jade Jewelry, restaurant serving Chinese food, there is a MacDonalds, a 7- eleven. quizno, and Starbucks on the North end.Of course the Multiplex movie theater which is closed while the Pandemic is hanging on, Great place with a lot more potential,

Turquoise Bridge

The "fancy gift" store (Unit 1179 ) sells broken phone and tablet cases and they would not take any responsibility. Well, they customers are kind of tourists and student and they don't care about their reputation

Philip Yu

Kind of dead as a mask, but filled with gems like Yoko Yaya and the Catfé. The empty halls are the quietest spot downtown—perfect for last-minute studying.

Prettech Canada

This space is a white elephant, free parking if going to a movie there are a few good spots to eat. The bathrooms are horrific

Lauren St John

Cineplex movie theaters and food court plus Starbucks and some junky stores for souvenirs and Asian dollar store. Free underground parking of you're going to hit a movie. Some shop owners do NOT speak English.. ..

Daniela Savassi

Good theater and nice art galleries, but not too much diverse stores or shop options. It's more for cinema, art and fast food.

Robtimus Prime

Food court is the best place in this mall. Very empty with only basic shops. But almost every restaurant in this place is worth trying out!

SLAVBORG

The mall itself is not great, but the parkade free 2h parking. Any place in downtown that offers any amount of free parking gets an instant perfect review in my books!

Grace Sigurdson

if International Village rented out to : Army & Navy; a fresh fruit & veg. market; Old Navy and stores that people actually shop in like Walmart, they'd get more business

Darlene Wong

Visited Tinseltown to see on a free movie pass. Made a couple of stops prior to the show, first at the Congee noodle Delight for spicy tasty garlicky deep fried chicken wings and an order of satay beef chow mein. We're never disappointed by the service or quality of their food. Second stop at Bubble King on the second floor for a mango milkshake bubble tea this time without tapioca pearls. Fast efficient, counter service from Bubble King. We always try to get a bubble tea variety here whenever we're in the neighborhood. Frequently very busy at this counter. Prices very reasonable at $3.75-5.00 for your choice of fruit slush or milk tea. Open food court seating that is plentiful, bright lighting and other fast food choices available. Free parking too.

Sunny Day

The mall is riddled with homeless people. I used the bathroom and when I went to wash my hands and I saw a cockroach run across the counter, I took a picture of course. I went to the theatre after, & saw sketchy people trying to get past the worker. They would stare at us, like zombie's on the other side of the window. A developmentally disabled woman I help, was watching a movie in the theater, she touched her chair and after, wiped her eyes, only to transfer pepper spray, that was apparently sprayed in the theater a week earlier, into her eyes. 911 was called as she screamed and cried, but because of the area of town, the ambulance never came. I phoned 911 myself, and was told by the operator, that if we could afford to pay for a taxi, then we should do that instead. Overall, the staff were great. But... she is now terrified to go to theaters, & the cockroaches... well... I won't miss seeing them again.

Lisa Dawn

Everything under one roof from Macdonald to Starbucks an all kind of Asian cuisine. The shopping is good too various antique and specialty stores as well as a dollar store too. Many various kiosks as well something for everyone.

Ronald Lee

A decent mall but has high turnover because of the lower income neighborhood. I do come here a lot for movies and some food.

James Allen

I like this mall. Mid end stores. Best for me as on a cheap movie Tuesday you get free parking, good food fair or a really good Thai restaurant that is fast so you won't be late for a movie. Never overly busy. Get there early though as there is no ticket machine so you will have to stand in a line.

Jessica Latimer

Not very family friendly, especially at night. My friend had for groceries stolen. But amazing Indonesian food.

Nicholas Pezarro

Fairly run down mall but free parking and the movie theatre make it worth visiting. Some innovative businesses spring up out of the slightly run down nature of it.

bestname ever

This mall really has no redeeming qualities unless you enjoy using a wash room primarily used for the junkies to shoot up in the stalls. Not once have I gone into this mall with out being asked for spare change. A wise choice would be to avoid this place.

Levina Johnson

We go here for Tacos upstairs in this case we changed our mind and ordered Asian or something or other .. the guy grills the food by himself in front of you ...Fast, Tasty, great price ...

Julian Worker

This mall is different from others because it has some interesting shops in it. There is a shop that sells board games and there is a Catfe for all cat fans upstairs, on the same level as the food court. Catfe is at the top of the first escalator and there is a 12-screen cinema on the floor above.

Zenzi

For a small mall, it has it all.MacDs and a few other nice resterants... food fare, japanese and mid eastern, pizza and an excellent resterant that has all types of original menu items and great prices called Cavemans something or other. Rexall (try cologne or perfume dept. w/ mens cologne for $20+)name brand. An excellent japanese dollar store with all kinds of quality items (art supplies, hats, socks, toys, housewares and a brilliant selection of japanese ceramic tea sets, plates, bowls and cups, etc.) They have it all, and it is all quality high quality items for low prices. A gem of a store. The mall has lots of cell phones and a cell repair store.Theatres as well. A brilliant mall !!!!!

Darlene Parker

Nice little mall. I bought a few things into this mall. People are friendly, and items there are reasonable price.

Kiran Jay Babla

The caveman is great, as well as the cinema, but this place has been forgotten. Needs a revamp!

King Is me

Fun place to people-watch if you're into a laugh you get one mostly opens at 11 and close at 6 fun place all around has McDonald's the 7-Eleven all kinds of different stores Fido freedom chatter Rexall drugstore and has a Starbucks Taco Time the movie theater computer shops phone shop shoe store tobacco place the smoke shop it also has a game shop it has many kiosk but most of all it's a good place for people-watching for Christmas Santa Claus visits the mall for Christmas there's also Cat Cafe you can go pet the kitty cats have some fun doing it yeah fun place people watch oh yeah don't forget don't forget the people watch when you're there????????????????????????????????????????

Midhun Kumar

It's a basic mall, no boutiques. There is a cineplex, starbucks, mc donalds, goldies pizza, 7eleven, crosstown liquor store a food court- try bali thai. And some shoping. There is a Japanese dollar store which is nice, most stores are on the ground level.

Teresa Stainton

I love this place because I can come in here to warm up or cool down, depending on the weather, for free. They have washrooms on the main floor. Also, movie theater, food fair, Starbucks on the lower level and Rexall. These are some of the places I go to when I'm here.

Joshawa Prozeller

I go here from time to time theres good deals some times and theres good food but theres also weird ppl always hanging around so be careful buy all and all its clean and good

Khadijah Ali

Visited International village for the first time, and wow it felt like I entered some surreal place. The music was creepy and there a collection of strange stores. And even stranger people. The theater itself was dingy and humid. We sat down and I had to finish texting to let my other friends who were supposed to meet us there know where we were. At this point, the names were rolling on the screen a the beginning of the movie so the actual movie had not started. Creepy and rude man next to us scolded me to turn off my phone. Just terrible, if you can go to a different theater like Metrotown, do it. Saving grace was the cashier at this theater easily allowed us to swap movie times so we did not have to spend more time at International village. By far, the weirdest experience.

michael V. L. graham

This is the first mall like place in the skids that I know of it has a movie theater a food court and many other shops and services

Downtown Eastside Fighting for our lives

Would be higher but their freedom place has a fat discriminating dudeworkING THERe as well as a security guard who actually called me a welfare bum. I'm not on welfare.

Justine Bouma

I come for the Catfe and the store that sells all the cool medieval merchandise. They offer free 2 hour parking for customers which is nice for downtown Vancouver.

Terri Y

Positive: free parking, food court, theater Negative: street people doing drugs in the washroom, can find used needles in stalls. Not really the safest when you have kids.

Lynette Martinez

I went to see Jungle cruise and the theater was very clean, and not crowded...I had an enjoyable experience

Reive Doig

This place gets 3 stars because Rain City Games (5 STAR STORE) is here. Otherwise it would be a one. This isn't Vancouver's saddest mall, that honour has to go to King'sgate mall (twitter tagline: still not condos) but it runs a close second. While there aren't as many vacant stores fronts as there once were, it oddly had even less character than in the past. At least years ago you could go and pretend this was a mall created by Stephen King, or, well, the version created for a lack lustre movie adaptation of one of his books. It's too clean to really be King. My one compliment about the place is that they don't chase the homeless and other neighbourhood down and outs out of the bathrooms, which is kind and understanding, and I appreciate it. They seem to think not repairing the hand dryers in said bathrooms will discourage them from coming in, though, which is frankly annoying for everyone. Did I mention go there for Rain City Games? Sometimes I play games there for hours. I buy coffee at the 7-11. I occasionally eat at the food fair at the mall. In short I have cause to visit the bathroom. I shouldn't have to bring my own towel, or buy a movie ticket to wash and dry my hands! SOOOO, International Village, home of Rain City Games, a great reason (perhaps the only one) to visit Vancouver's Second Saddest Mall.

Victoria verna McLaughlin

I go to this mall a lot. Its right near my house, I like the food court and some of the stores I shop at once in a while.i mostly use the liquor store and the 711.

Guilherme S. M.

Alright mall, not much of interest here, but the prices are cheap.

M. Tse

celebrating the Chinese New Yeat

R. B.

I like walking around this place. T&T is right there, pizza place etc.

JAMIE DANIEL W DESJARDINS

Freedom! Miss Anna @ occult shop!

Ernest Hui

This mall is odd yet satisfying to walk through... Kind of like smelling your own farts. It's strange to think about, yet when experienced, it's extremely joy-bringing.

Dean Benton

I've visited the mall on many occasions and and more often than not find what I'm looking for and if they don't have it did you have something I can use to suitibly substitute. Tjis evening i went to the Rexall store and found better prices than those i usually (used to) pay at London Drugs. By jove I think I just changed stores... as i fill out tje Points Reward Card. lol

P.J. M

I'm giving this place 5 stars just because it's so damn peculiar. The oddest collection of businesses fill the mall but they're entertaining to say the least. The movie theatre has 99 pops! Last week I had diet peach sprite! This place is one of the only places in the city left graciously offering free parking for mall patrons. Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone though! ;)

Brian Presunka

Always empty stores and high prices for low quality products

kevin casey

It's a great mall that has just about anything you want and there isn't a mob of people to get in the way

nadine norton

Actually I can't remember the last time I was in the mall area .I go there just for the McDonalds that I hate purely out of convenience and a time limit that I have to keep if I want to keep my job so I'm sorry .I haven't shopped here in a few years so I don't have much of a review for you.

Arturo Ibarra

The place in general is pretty cool, but there's not much to do, most of the mall is empty, most venues are vacant. That's why I give it a 3 star rating. Lower your rent prices to attract more businesses.

Bonnie Wong

I use to come here for 2 reasons. 1. Thai Town* 2. Yokoyaya aka Oomomo* *But both has closed down. BTW - for those who love cats, cat cafe is here. Sadly, im severely allergic so this is not a reason for me. I give it 2 stars because: There's free 2 hours parking underground. Extremely convenient for the mall goers. Deserves 2 stars just for that! Im ONLY giving 2 stars because: OMG... the washrooms here are ????????????????????????????????????‍♀️. Especially downstairs... 'Nuf said.

AmberRomanowski “Concr3teDazey” EternallyExploited

The dollar store is great there. But that's about it. Oh and the 7-Eleven is okay but they don't have any good coffee condiments.

Barney Andersen

This place is not looking good. Retail selection is pretty bare bones. A lot of mom and pop shops selling strange goods. It's a great location, not sure why it struggled so much. Hope things get better soon.

Alvin Wong

An odd mal for sure, and the history of the mall and the social economic impact of the area around it is always a good story to be had outside of a review. That said, food court has alot of gems, as does the occasional specialty store inside the mall. Not a mall I would come to to just walk and window shop, but definately one you go to cus of certain shops in niche segments.

Lynda Russell

It needs more stores & is missing that feeling that you should stay & shop. It feels cold & unwelcoming ???? it's sad, it has a great location & they are wasting the opportunities. A lot of people don't even know that it's there. Please pick up the socks!! I'm sorry, but this is an honest appraisal, and of course it's only IMHO ????

Evangeline Dalaya

It's too bad this mall seems to be struggling to stay a float. I'm sure years ago this place was probably awesome. There are nice skylight windows and high ceilings. The movie theater is currently closed due to covid. There's a nice little food court. The area is rough though and I encountered a woman having a yelling match with her reflection in the washroom.

Tanner McCoolman

International village is the weirdest mall. It's as if it were designed by someone who was trying to recreate Kingsgate Mall entirely from 4th hand rumours. Someone is getting arrested outside of the rexall every 15 minutes. There are people having sex in the bathrooms frequently. The theatre upstairs shows some smaller release and foreign language movies, which is nice.

Michael Angelo

Nice place to shop and good store renting prices. A great place to open open your dream shop with out being robed by landlords

Nichole McCaully

It was such a great experience to stop at the International Mall! The first floor had little shops and a outdoor seating area to take a rest. The second floor had so many different types of food. I wish I had time to try them all! I …

Jessica Fung

Asian type mall. Not chain stores. Had a movie theater and yokoyaya, the smaller version of daiso Japanese dollar store. Food court is OK, but again no chain stores.

Wilson

Talk about the good things, it has a cinema, food court and a cat cafe. Free parking I guess for cinema goers. The bad things, the area is not that fabulous, you might see a few loitering and the security is doing nothing.

Fio N

The weirdest place ever, it looks like a ghost mall full of homeless people wandering around. Except for a couple of shops (like Yokoyaya), all of them are terrible and not worth a visit. The bathroom is dirty as hell, and to give you an idea, it has a sign stating that you can't inject drugs in there.

Wolfgang Bremer

Nice mall with lots of small and bigger stores. Unfortunately the bathrooms in the 2nd floor are locked after 8pm. Tip: the food court offers lots of Asian food options.

daniel bourgeois

I think the place is lacking big name store because its almost dead. I felt like there was no atmosphere enough to make people spend money in the mall

J Y

Not much of a place to browse shop. U just go to the stores you need. What I do like is it is spacious.

J Y

Not much of a place to browse shop. U just go to the stores you need. What I do like is it is spacious.

Rob N (R.cr00ks86)

Somebody know's exactly how to make it feel GOOD. Almost GREAT. But now yet.

Gayan Pathirana

There is not much commerce happening at this mall in terms of retail goods. The movie theater has lots of traffic, and some of the spaces upstairs are morphing into office/education space. The food court is active during key times, but quality control is questionable. Considering the neighborhood, its closeness to the Downtown East Side (DTES) the clientele is not always there to shop. I wouldn't go shopping here, but the free parking and movie theater are great.

Cal Chan

a good place for your go to needs for cheap supplies like phone accessories and awesome foods like caveman cafe! it seems that alot more things are opening up in the mall. pretty handing to have near by.

Shirley

Tons of free parking (for up to two hours unless if you watch a movie) and the theater here is never that busy. Great if you're coming by for that. Keep your movie ticket in case parking is checked. Not much of any other shops within the mall that are worth it unfortunately. The washrooms are okay clean, but at times questionable.

Rob Hoff

Not your average mall something different for everyone

Nehemias Perez

The place is alright. A lot of stores are closed and empty. But there is a few things here. It's really close to Chinatown, the Stadium, the Skytrain, Costco, T&T, Tim Horton's, Subway, a clinic, bars, and a bunch of other things. The mall itself has a pharmacy, it's a Rexall, Starbucks, optician, 24 hour McDonalds and 24 hour 7 Eleven, Liqour Store, Cineplex Theater, Food Court, public washroom, sometimes the toilets get really dirty, and the men's washroom doesn't have a change table. But it's a great place really, they also host small family things like the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause. Just be careful after dark if your not from Downtown, lots of drunk people and drug addicts are around at night, but they are mostly harmless.

David Johansen

feels a little old western you know when the tumble weeds rolls through town hardly a sound just that whistle. Spacey and not really that busy i guess. customer service is good. Never seem to be in a line very often.

David Eisner

An odd mall with scattered shops of various themes . No real continuity here. Biggest renters are the movie theater and dollar store. Has a great board game shop if that interests you but nothing else to keep you there for any length of time.

Edwin Nathaniel

Love this place. There's an Indonesian stall at the food court that sells great chicken noodle. There's Oomomo (Daiso) if you need to grab cheap household items. It has cat cafe as well!

Mona Leo

Public washroom, food kiosks, jewelry, housewares, liqour store. Many businesses.

Melissa Cattleman

It's not a pricy mall it's very affordable

Joey Focus

This use to be called Tinseltown and has a movie theater on the top floor. Its the mall in the hood and has limited stores and a food court that is mostly made up of a taco time, Chinese and other Asian vendors.. lots of fake jewellery, cell phone accessory stands and a pretty cool Japanese dollar store..

Ethan Hoff

This is a fairly quiet mall in a very central location. The aesthetic is very retro, complete with neon lights. The food court is cute and there is a wide variety of cuisine.

Zuch Suzette

Go to the second floor of the mall and look up and the twinkling stars. I love looking at the stars! Yoko-yaya is in the mall on the first floor. This mall was intended to be the most exquisite, top-notch mall; however, no department stores signed the lease agreement so the mall turned into what it is today... The mall has an interesting look and feel inside and ample free parking underground. The location of the mall is terrible. It is in [what would be considered] a high crime area. Hence, don't leave anything in your car in view if you do park here.

Dylan Nihte

Love this place and order the tomato soup, it's one of the best in the city

Jayson Wing

Has an sssortment of stores on the first level such as a Rexall, starbucks, celm phone kiosks, shoe store Japanese goods. Second level is a small food court but some more than decent food. Third level is a Cinepkex which is very underrated.

Ryan McLaren

Vile. Some shops worth poking into. Stay far, far away from the food court. I can't tell you how many times I've seen staff leave the bathrooms after an extended visit without washing hands.

kim hallberg

I just love the ethnicity and the different selection of items. I also find that they have some items that I use/need but of their variety and there even a few of those that are better than my usual brand that I buy!!! I just think it's a eclectic, neat little mall! !

William Chan

Well, the place is not the same as the dirty nasty place that it used to be. Unlike years ago when the mall was empty, now it is nearly fully occupied. Nice to see brand name store such as Rexall, Fido, Starbucks, McDonald's, Cineplex Odeon and International Language School settling in this mall. Yes, nasty things still happen here, but they happen elsewhere too! The management has made a lot of improvements here in particular increased security patrol, renovated washrooms and foodcourt. Check it out. I think they are the only place in the whole downtown core that offer 2 hour free parking.

Nitthan Day

A lot of rude businesses. Impolite people working in every store including the food court. Constantly see them harassing poor people yet this mall is right in the neighbourhood of the poor. Go figure

Derek Chow

Not exactly what I had in mind. Many empty stalls.

Cedar Taylor

All but one of the many stalled washrooms were out of order, and 90% of the mall is empty and looming. The stores that are open are nice though

Terence Yee

In both sweltering hot and frost-biting weather, I use the International Village Mall to go from Keefer to Pender. This "mall" is small. There is almost always an empty lot or two for lease as the foot traffic is very light. There are no strong anchors (I guess Yokoyaya, Rexall, McDonald's, and Cineplex?) nor compelling reason for big brands to locate here. Despite being located minutes away from SkyTrain, Andy Livingston Park, and being surrounded by slowly gentrifying neighbourhoods the mall borders Carrall street, which divides east (DTES) and west (cosmopolitan Downtown). Homeless people congregate here, using the mall for circulated AC and the building's surrounding shade to panhandle during the summer, and warmth during winter. As other reviewers have stated, washrooms aren't in great shape. Security is close by to monitor activity, and there is only so much custodial service per day. The International Village is stuck, and has been for a while, in an attempt to establish a social hub outside of Downtown that is slowly creeping toward Main Street. This dichotomy is apparent in Gastown. The International Village is an interesting community as it continues to evolve.

Finikyfaefinwe

Older mall with alot of kitchsy, smaller stores. Kind of old and grundgey feeling though. Has a Cinemea. Location also isent in the greatest part of the city.

A L

The International Village Mall is a neat little shopping center filled with small niche stores. Yokoyaya (now Oomomo) is a good-sized Japanese dollar store offering useful day-today items and Asian junk food and candy. There is a nice movie theater on the top floor that stream most of the latest movies. There are small vendors on floor level which offer fake jewelry, cheap phone accessories, and small plants. The food court is alright with small stalls serving Vietnamese, Chinese, and western cuisine. The Congee Noodle Delight restaurant serves one of the best wonton noodles in the city. Another good part of my experience was the free parking. The parking lot is a good size with average size parking spots. Unfortunately, the washrooms are extremely smelly and dirty. There are sometimes used needles found in washroom stalls. Drug addicts and homeless hang out right outside the East Pender Street and Taylor Street entrances.

Tina Maria Joyce

The food do from Mcdonal

Maria Slon

Free 2 hrs of parking while seeing a movie at the theatre, eating at the food court, popping into the bunny cafe or Yokoyaya store.

Gregory Cornish

Just at the Eastern edge of Chinatown, it's architectural brilliance is really cool. But they must be charging WAY too much to lease there, because I have never seen so many vacancies....

Sidartha Murjani

Sketchy place but there are a few gems in the 2nd floor in terms of restaurants

john dixon

Big, beautiful mall in the heart of skid row. Not surprisingly there aren't many tenants, and the ones that are there look pretty marginal, as if they are the pet projects of the owners' relatives or something. Bring your cat coffee shop, several "art" galleries, lots of cellphone accessory places and stuff. Nowhere to buy a pair of jeans or sneakers or regular mall fare. The food court is better for not having the franchise operators, mostly ethnic food made by the actual ethnicity instead makes for better chance of yummy. Movie theatres are quite nice and often have more arty films. Free parking near the city core.

Richard Keith

Mainly a gadget kiosk mall with cell phone stores & a great Rexall Drug Store.. No sitting, variety food court & washrooms are continuously used be DTES Addicts.

Bryan Dott

Nice mall some good stores still left . Unfortunately the theatre had to close for COVID-19 until summer time 2021. But the food court is still currently open. Many of the shops have gone bankrupt due to the virus very sad. It’s a beautiful mall Lotsa room.

Danaca Lapp

Weird mall but love the movie theatre

Sofía Unda

It smells terrible. I only come here for the cinema.

Walter Lowe

A wonderful selection in the hot food bar - dim sum favorites by the kg were delicious. The sushi selections were fresh at a good price. Many types of Asian food products and an extensive assortment of fresh fish in that section. Some of the items to celebrate the "Year of the Pig" did not look so healthy!????

Cat Magic

Decent little mall. Yup. There's a dollar store in this mall. IDK if it's an independent one or they have more locations.. But it's stocked a little differently than some of the big dollar stores. Great glass stuff, nice jars, some …

Alan Chan

Actually a pretty top mall

Zona Zoe

A lot of stores shut down. It's sad to see.

Victor Manuel Del Castillo

The weirdest mall ever existed, in the middle of Chinatown, Gastown and Creekside. Full of stores that sell what you barely need, example dragons figures, dragon t-shirts, board games and very expensive Chinese art. Even the is fun to be there and have a great time, movies and great food at the food court.

Anthony Benel

Love some of the shops like Yoko Ya Ya but the other stores leave much to desire. The mall has so much potential but lacks in every way. The theater upstairs is handy.

Brian Huilman

What a fun place! Neat little shops like Pappa Roti Cafe and the T&T grocery. It's close to the train stop and full of culture!

James Crombie

Don't know too much about it's shopping viability, but I certainly remember building it (Bird Construction), as well as all the neighbouring towers (ITC & Metrocan).

Ross De

Want to feel like you've stepped into the 90s and question where you are. Now there's a place for that!

Samson Gao

There are beggars at this place tons of homeless people, but the staff at this mall maintain the place very well. It doesn't stink or anything, but it has nothing to do here. I'm sure it has all the cellular phone service and Mc Donald's and Starbucks but it doesn't have any like Apple store, Microsoft store etc.

Destiny Funk

Such a sketchy place. I’ve never felt so unsafe with the kind of traffic in there. The bathrooms were disgusting and literally had poop on the stall doors.

Tina Sieber

Reasonable selection of shops. People hanging out there can be sketchy and the atmosphere is strange. I never felt comfortable there and only come for the movies. The theatre is great, always lots of movies to choose from, fair prices, and clean.

Cale Loberg

Not a very busy mall. But an ok place to grab a quick lunch.

Alexander Cattalani

Small but full of hidden gems. The caveman cafe is a great place to eat if your starving. I usually walk through to pick up smokes and catch the bus. Theres always a few weirdos walking around. Its an interesting mall to be sure. Feel free to avoid to McDonalds inside unless you like waiting in line with putrid crack heads and homeless bums.

Daniel Will-Harris

My favorite store here is Yokoyaya123, the Japanese $2 store, filled with fun (and useful) things mostly priced at $2. Hats, scarves, dishes, candy, food, household items... all with cute Japanese design. The food court on the second floor is OK. BEWARE THE PARKING: It says two hours free, but if you see a movie you can be longer than that and get an $80 ticket! If you call and bug the hateful Impark people enough they might cancel the ticket, but it's a hassle. Why don't they simply have gates and tickets so you pay for the time you're there? Who's ever heard of getting a parking ticket in a shopping mall? That's really bad and you have to wonder if Impark is owed by the devil.

Bhavesh Singhal

The actual theatre was ok. Decent seats and overall experience. But the area around the theatre seemed to be in a rather bad locale. On my way, I had unfortunate encounters with a lot of junkies and such people.

Karen

Very empty mall. There's a cool board game shop and a cat cafe, some phone stores to fix your phone and get a new case but nothing special otherwise. I occasionally go there to watch movies at cineplex, eat McDonalds and go to the T&T right across this mall. It's also a 2 min walk from the skytrain and there's free indoor parking so it's super convenient. The food court is not good in my opinion and something you wanna steer away from. This mall is also kind of dirty.

J-L.D R

It's convenient for me, since I live directly across the street

davin boutang

Perfect location with great potential to become a hybrid Asian market / shopping mall

Deborah Cheung

Stores are always closed. There are a lot of crackheads in the area, so it's not a safe mall.

Treena Cooper

love the shopping here and sky train so close

Yvette horsefall

Rexall drug store that provides you with almost anything that you need, especially if it is late. They are open at 8 until 10 at night 24/7. The prices are fair and a lot of sales all the time. The people are very helpful and friendly.

Cate S. Glynn

I really like this quiet little mall...commonly known as Tinsel Town. International Village has an older movie theatre attached, with FREE parking! The mall area itself hosts mostly mom n pop shops offering up a lot of shoes, accessories and some clothing stores. There's also a very high end stereo equipment shop, drug store, great food court and a cool new Japanese variety store called OOMOMO. Kiosks aplenty offer everything from phone plans to Bonsai trees. There's full wheelchair access, and public washrooms on both levels. The upper level houses a Life Lab, medical clinic, and other similar services.

T

Nice mall. Usually not busy but was very busy on this occasion for Chinese new years it offers some stores but with not a high variety. The film theTre and free parking are main reason to come

Youdlovetoknow Wouldntyou

I came here to visit the cat café. I was pleased with the mall lay out, as it was super easy to navigate. We were pressed for time so we didn't get to explore much, but from what I saw there was a nice variety of shops. Great for if you're casually exploring and shopping in the area.

Liliana Lau

Expensive parking but nice and clean also a security guy walk around making sure everything it's ok

Alex Kwok

The international Village Mall is quiet and many stores have closed down. The only best thing about this mall is the food court. My only concerns would be the safety of the customers and how filthy the washrooms are.

Russell

As far as malls go this doesn't have any mainstream chains, mostly independent stores and it's kind of an odd mall. Has a theater that plays mostly foreign and artsy flicks. Great if your looking for something different.

John V

cute quirky mall with all sorts of cool stores, the catfe, yokoyaya, cineplex, the food court, very lovely mall, I recommend coming here. Nice place to hang out on the benches as well.

Wendy Hunter

A wide variety of little shops and services. Good food court that is kept very clean. Appreciate the cineplex theater which shows lots of foreign films.

janelle hiebert

Its not a bad place to visit. Its not busy and it feels like the life has been sucked out of it. The Shops are pretty neat. The Catfe is my favourite. The stores all have different hours of operation.

Heather Chiang

Small mall with decent food court, bubble tea, game shop, clothing stores, gallery, and restraunts. Convenient location near stadium station and t n t.

jenni trumpet

Catfe is a grrrrreat unique experience, must have reservations! Food court has fresh variety and clean Reliable friendly service

mister dumpling

Nice architecture though hasn't ages all that well. It's got a historic, eerie vibe with a reasonable variety of stores.

Angela Mckeown

Not very easy to find the offices there. Some of the offices's you have to go outside to find the enterences.

Michael Goodine

It has a sketchy vibe, but is safe enough (I guess). Some random shops on the lower level, and it seems like language learning institutes are filling up the second level. A pretty decent cinema occupies the top level.

M Bhatti

This is probably the most depressing mall in the world. If it wasn't for the Cineplex located on the top floor, I'm not sure any one would ever step foot in this place. Good potential here, but it's currently a waste of space.

David Ng

Highlight of the mall are the theaters and the parking is free. However, the rest is a collection of oddball shops in a not so good area of town. Especially as night approaches, the shoplifting increases as the 7-Eleven is a convenient exit for the criminal element to leave the mall with stolen goods to the lament of the mall security guards. I've seen street people deal baggies of drugs on more than one occasion outside the mall.

Bryn Johnson

Good food court and restaurants. Movie theatre with good selection of Blockbuster, art house and international films. Close to Chinatown, GM Place and many hotels and pubs. Ground floor is great for late night fast food

Josh

Super sketchy, only good for a parking spot and a quick bite to eat on the way to a Canucks game.

Andrew Jonkers

The mall has many tenancy vacancies and an expensive cinema complex but the food court has a few quite tasty outlets for lunch if you are passing by and want a bite to eat

MorningStar Kematch

Stores, except Rexall, close fairly early. It's quiet and not all of the eateries in the food court are open at the same time. Some are open, while others stay closed.

Paragon Seeker

Nice little mall. Decent food. Really cheap store for students to buy necessities.

MattE

what's left are good stores just a pity theater's still not open for covid:(

Tracey tikuli

Good selection of shops and one of if not the only grocery store in the area.

Gerald Feather

The mall feels a little bit like a ghost town. It has a good games shop, McDonald's a movie theater and Starbucks, but beyond that not a whole lot.

Derek Reyes

Nice multi cultural mall

Paul Sousa

Xmas shopping ???? excellent customers services within the entire shopping center , good food court embianvce, clean & respectfully attended with rules and regulations concerning Covid face masks by choppers and staff

Gerald Joe

Cineplex theatre hosts VIFF & VAFF (good film festivals) plus good food court with independent vendors plus decent Daiso outlet, pharmacy, Starbucks,...

Sash

It seems to be a dated place with many businesses closed for a good portion of weekdays. Food court of course doesn't have the best options. But big plus is free parking for Cineplex customers. For shopping... it's a bit of a miss

Addison Amit

Mediocore Food Court, small cat cafè, language school and a lot of stores that are closing down. The property is being sold so I'm curious to see what it gwts turned into.

Jacinta Smith

Not much of a mall these days - I usually only go to Starbucks on the corner at this mall, or to quickly cut through it while it's raining.

Fraser M

Oh International Village Mall. A staple of DTES & Chinatown that is at the forefront of fights for and against gentrification on the daily. A McDonald's. A game store. A Starbucks. A Japanese dollar store. A shoe store. Several cell carrier stands. A Cineplex that shows some of the best films in the city (for real though). A food court with dim sum. Congee on the main level. They will never getrify this mall, hard as these Vancouver developers try. Still, watch out for heightened security and cops. But otherwise, what's not to love?

Joshua King

It's ok, a place to get out of the rain ... Lol not too many shops to choose from but I really love the store that sells Jade ..

Steven Iv

A pretty decent mall with its first floor having Rain City board game place, an overcrowded McDonald's and a nice Cineplex at the top. Don't really like any of the food court options though on the 2nd.

I Jaye Sunsurn

It's taken decades for this mall to really open up. It sat empty for decades, only the occasional store populating the floors, but now it is finally flourishing. Though the only reason I go is for the movie theatre it's no longer a shameful mall.

Brooks Nicols

It's a city block with underground parking below, mostly shops on the main floor, food court on the second level mezzanine, and Cineplex Odeon movie theatre on the third level. Little known fact, that when viewed from above, there is a giant sundial atop the mall.

B1GT1ME604 H

Rough area. Lots of open drug use. Some decent businesses but not a place for the faint of heart or someone who's highly affected by the state of affairs around them

Cynthia Edwards

Chatr counter is poorly run. Staff is rude and seems like they can't be bothered with anyone. Not helpful at all, disappointing.

Adam W

This is a sad mall, but it has potential, they spent a lot of money making it, you can see it in the details. It has a theater and they also have a T&T super market across the St. ????

Matheus Depra Gudergues

A nice shopping mall for a relaxing and productive trip. They have a Cineplex movie theatre (which sometimes airs Japanese animation movies) and Yoko Yaya, for quick and cheap shopping trips to get some useful household items and Asian snacks. The International House language school seems also pretty popular, and they have a very cool board game store, which seems kinda rare around the area. Not the most beautiful mall, but definitely a convenient one.

Maret Christiansen

I like to go see films here, and parking is free during time spent in the theatre. It's pretty much my only reason I go there.

Donald Yapp (Hungry Ghost)

Not a top flight mall but okay. Good for movies and fast food. Standouts see the galleries on the second floor and the Japanese dollar store on the ground floor. Easy to access by transit. Parking available below.

Rochelle Truscott

It could use more variety in terms of shop fronts but there are some gems in here too.

Adam Koebel

There are some movies you can really only see here, which is really cool. It’s really nice to see a modern theatre bringing in smaller films.

Robby Hlady

Not the best shops in this place, but there's a few solid places that have really great items. It's sketchy though, and there's a ton of sketchy people, especially if you go into the bathrooms. It's also not super clean in the bathrooms.

Jopie Karman

There is Indonesian food at the food court, quite good food reasonable price.

Samantha Raymond

Has a great budget store with a plethora of products , especially for small spaces.

Earl Jenkins

Pretty good food court, but the shops are mostly kinda lame. No brand name stores, except for the drugstore. Impressive games store, for people who are looking for something like that. Also, there's a neat Asian dollar store. Big movie theatre there as well, with decent underground parking.

Wayne Macdougall

This mall has always been a sad state. Stores come and go.

Cilla G

Nice shops. Decent food court with good selection, especially for a quick bite before a movie. Also incudes some modern conveniences such as a drug store, coffee shop & one of my own faves; Yokoyaya. In addition it is very close to transit.

Lezlie 'the blonde one in the fam' (Blondie)

Amazing deals for phone cases and all accessories. Thanks again, Nick!

Jesse Brown (BlondeFox)

Almost all of the shops are closed and there are homeless individuals and drug users hanging around inside and outside. Creates an unsafe experience with their screaming, sleeping, peeing, and using outside and sometimes inside. In regards to the shopping, as I said previously almost all of the shops are closed, and what is open looks like it's about to close. Lots of strange shoe stores and confusing artist shops (?). The best thing would be the food court upstairs, as there was a variety, the food smelled good, and it actually had energy!

Priscilla Antoine

I had a good time while I was there, me and my spouse had coffee at Starbucks, we went on the internet, we talked a lil, then we went up to the eatery and had lunch. It was very peaceful and nice.

Rodge Jantzen Uy

One of downtown Vancouver's unsung malls, International Village Mall has an Asian-managed selection comparable to Burnaby's Crystal Mall or Richmond's Aberdeen Centre. The place is generally overshadowed by larger indoor malls in the area (such as Pacific Center), but provides additional shopping opportunities if you're looking for something you'd otherwise have to leave downtown for.

David Black

The mall has had some difficulty attracting stable tenants. There are some nice outlets here, but also some vacancies. The Cineplex International Village cinema is a 12 screen multiplex, with all stadium seating. This is an excellent cinema, one of the nicest layouts you will find anywhere. All screens cc/ds and most can exhibit 3D films. Cinema rates a full 5☆.

ejiro ariemuduigho

Nice place to visit and shop

Glenn Martin

Lots of items . Great food court ????

Daniel Díaz

Slices of pizza around, you can have a really cheap hotdog combo with fries and soda in the costo just a few minutes walking!

J Harrill

Good place to go for cheap food and a movie, but there isn't much else. A great board game store, a movie theatre, a 7-11, a cafeteria, a McDonalds, Caveman cafe, a cat cafe and a Japanese dollar-store. It's one of those inner city malls that have tenants using the space as office space. If you've ever been to Eau Clair Market in Calgary, it feels very similar. But the amount of places to go all around the Mall make it a nice refuge from the rain given that you'll likely be in that area. Despite my pessimism I find myself in that mall a lot, and actually do enjoy it.

Bumby Wool - Stephanie Gross

Lots of great little shops with interesting items. Great place for inexpensive electronic accessories. I found a lady with handmade genuine leather bags for amazing prices.

KelseysStinkers

Since covid hit, this mall is a complete wreck. The only store I like which was the Japanese dollar store, is gone. No point to come here, go waste your time and money somewhere else. So dead.

Gino Pagnotta

I wouldn't really call it a mall. But it's cool to walk through and see the different cultural shops.

jessi major

The cineplex is very underrated. The mall is very outdated in its design, it's like you are Walking into the 90s when you go inside. It has a few gems like catfe, rain city and ABC, but otherwise dead. Don't be surprised to run into 1 or 2 rats inside there. It could definitely use some work.

Lisa Rose Duguay

They have great deals on merchandise in the stores in and around this cool mall. A great place to take the family too. Definit five star from myself folks ~***** !

Jason Stratford

Best part is the movie theatre at the top. So many empty stores still and often lots of homeless hanging around. The McDonalds in here is the most disgusting I have ever been too. Pity because the building itself is nice if it was run better

Ali Nematollahi

Very run down, not very safe anymore

lavi aujla

Nice mall not much to do few stores. But have cineplex

Travis “Lit review” Power!

Tinseltown is definitely a great place to go it's a very large Mall with a few businesses that are top notch. There's a chatter mobile and a cell phone fixing place not to mention if you need pharmaceutical needs bearing how about Pharmacy …

Babs Ben

Not many shops open but still like to come here for the Japanese dollar stoere.

Alys

I love to visit Catfe at international village. The cats are so adorable and sweet. If you simply sit still for a few minutes often one will come right to your lap or by your side. Other cats love to play so you can use a variety of toys for the cats to play-attack - and I stress using toys so your hands and arms don’t get scratched by the kitty!

Siqi Zhang

A bit... desolate? Not very much foot traffic, and some shops are closed. We went there just because it's right across the street from T&T. The cat cafe in there is not the best one in town, cats are timid

Alison Blais

It's like as if you went shopping right in the middle of an apocalypse. Half of stores are just empty and/or for lease/rent. It's got so much potential as a mall, the food court is a tad desperate but it's not so bad that Santa has stopped coming. Apparently it's still on his radar so it can't be that bad I guess!

Angela S

The mall itself isn't somewhere I would frequent; however, the catfé, Japanese dollar store, and cineplex are certainly what brings me there when I do. I'd say that the food vendors and some of the smaller retailers are often quite busy so it definitely seems like lots of other people enjoy them. It's also conveniently located by Gastown (stadium-Chinatown skytrain station).

Philip Kwan Ho Kwong

It's been a while since I have visited this place. Although it is a little let down on the outside, but there are many great small shops that sell some unique items that can't be found in big box malls. Parking is easy and free in most cases and Catfe is a must go.

Ridhwaan Murad

Central location makes it easy to access by skytrain, walking or driving. Shops and restaurants to enjoy here. If youre driving parking may be scarce depending on what day and time you are going.

James Shaw

Slices always fresh and heated

GlennRod Scharf

I was told about a shoe place in the mall that had nice shoes at 50% - 80% off, so I checked it out and sure enough, I found two nice pairs of shoes for an excellent price. The sales clerk was very friendly and helpful.

Anthony Glazebrook

It's a nice building but theyve never been able to attract any major stores. Movie theatre is good.

Bipolar Curious

What a failure this place turned out to be. But it's got a good movie theatre upstairs, a neat little Japanese $1 store type place (stuff is like $1-$6), and a couple good restaurants. But as a Mall...not so much. Unless your only qualification for being a good one is that "It is a building with different stores in it."

Ramesh K Yadav

Lots of stores to buy variety of items. Convenience store, accessories, fast food and many more. Parking is also free for customer.

Nick Kinnred

Free WiFi, 4 or 5 different networks, although now for some reason visitors are not allowed to change their phones using power outlets in the mall

Patrick Burns

My favourite mall because of its shaggy vendors and cheap food stalls. The 10 screen cinema is also good.

Ynod NO

Not sure why this mall has never taken off. Its ina Central location with lots of shops stalls empty. One would expect this place to be a major shopping center, but that didn't just happen. This area or part of Vancouver is one of those areas suffering from urban decay. So sad coz it would have been a pretty interesting place to visit. There's few parking spots. Im scared of their escator. I feel like i would fall off the stairs. The onyl reason i would stop by here would eb for watching movie at cineplex or stop by Daiso. Other than that...theres just nothing to see inside.

Mar Mar

Nice mall and has everything.

Bonnie Hanmore

Went looking for masks, and found them there. Nice friendly people there

Oscar Aguilar

I like going there because I find almost everything there because there are a wide range of store.

Hemant Saini

Even thought there is nothing specifically special or significant here - the place is worth a brief visit. The International Village area lends a unique blend to Downtown Vancouver in a way only it can.

Jay La

Weird vibe, ambient instrumental music gets on my nerves. Very odd selection of stores that found elsewhere. While there are some gems like yokoyaya, an escape game room, and a cat cafe, this mall is boring and lacks liveliness.

Eula Chua

Your go-to for Cineplex theatres (they do quite a few international movie showings...especially filipino movies!), for Yokoyaya (Pretty much like Daiso-a Japanese 2-dollar store), and for their cat cafe if you love cats (although you might have to reserve a table ahead of time)

Angela Severtson

Really only came here for Starbucks, Rexall and Caveman Cafe. Not all stores were open, even by 12. No name brand stores, and seems like its a place for elderly people to hang around.

Tammy Hynes

Not much there bought a cell phone at one of the cell stores its junk cuts out won't pickup apps.

Sam Steele

Weird spot. Free parking. Lots of commotion. Some interesting shops. Japanese dollar store on lower level is a highlight.

Linda Zhao

Useful, convenient location. Food court had good variety. Mall itself is minimal, mostly restaurants and convenience stuff.

MacKenzie Knicely-Coutts

The bathrooms are disgusting, and over-all the place was a bit of a disaster. The dollar store was the only saving grace, but quite honestly walking through China town is a much better choice than going here. It's good for a super quick walk through, but seriously DON'T USE THE BATHROOMS. Nasty.

Lorri Prime

Rexall is good, the little leather store for change purses is affordable, of course the movie theatre on the 3rd floor and don't forget the Cat Cafe, it's AWESOME!!!

Marshall “Kickass” Miller

Different outlets not expensive great people

Sara Pedlow

This is not a great mall if you're looking to kill time by shopping, but it does have some perks. The Japanese dollar store is a lot of fun to explore. There is a great board game store with knowledgeable staff. The movie theatre upstairs has great showings. The parking is convenient and often free. The major downside of this mall are the super slow elevators. If possible, avoid them and take the stairs or escalators. The mall also isn't in the greatest part of town, and sometimes the crowd here can look a bit rough, especially in the McDonald's where we once stopped two drunk men from kicking an old woman who was lying prone on the ground. This isn't typical but just be cautious.

Ryan Greenlees

This place is just downright creepy... the Asian dollar store and Catfe are the only good places in this mall. Even the cineplex is weird... and dont go to the washroom, constantly disgusting from the Chinatown area

Anthony J. Wheeldon

Crack head infested mall. Do not recommend unless u want to waste your money and life away.

Brandon Gill

Place was cool, some weird character allowed in the mall though so I think security should Eb upped a little

Chris Top

This mall is more for Eastern Asians than any of your typical westerners if you're Eastern Asian this should be a good place to start with connections in town but you're better off to go to Richmond sorry but being honest is being honest

Brad French (b-RAD)

I went on a Sunday and there were a lot of stores that either were not open on Sundays or were permanently closed. It's really dirty inside and smells like homeless people. I took a leak in the washroom on the main level and it felt like I was walking into the Thunder Dome and I was going to be challenged to a game of death by Mad Max himself. Pretty sure one guy was wacking off in one stall and another guy was doing a toilet wash in another. The best part of the mall is the t&t super market and Bubble King upstairs. There is a movie theatre on the top level. All the employees who I encountered were really friendly and helpful.

Fido1961 “Fido”

Great Dollar Store. Good Food Court second level. Checkout Taco Time 2 tacos $5.00 Great Deal!

Anthony Desfosses

This is the best mall in the universe! You can go see a late movie and then watch the drama that is McDonald's on Abbott at 1AM through a cage! They've even got a Viking store! So many supplements!!! And a giant Mechwarrior cardboard cutout!!! A+++++

Nichole Lewis

LOVE the shoe store besides the Japanese dollar store...went in to find a pair of rubber boots for my little, the cashier was extremely helpful & knowledgeable, AND more than welcoming, loved seeing her little one at work with her behind the till as well, that's awesome. Will be back again for another pair of toddler shoes soon!

Bhushan Mistry

Well maintained mall and it has clean washrooms as well. They should write clear directions for getting out of the mall late night after movie shows.

Julien-Pier Belanger

This place is a big empty mall. The toilets are basically an unsupervised injection center and they reek of feces and urine. The food court is surprisingly good though. Well... The restaurants are, the court in itself isn't amazing.

Jo G (JayBar)

Decent mall, has your basics like a dollar store sort of place, movie theatre, and drugstore. Washrooms are nasty and being in this area means you get lots of shady characters.

Toren Atkinson

Two options for bubble tea and a games store! Food court is a suitable place to work on your D&D campaign, though can be a bit noisy. Bathrooms need more attention

Joseph Cruz

Always a great mall to check out. Has a lot of non-typical stores and a very diverse food court. Basically lives up to its name. The theatre there also tends to show more of the diverse showings.

Daniel Szilagyi

What a disaster, it's full of weird little Chinese stores that sell random old junk and tacky art with an incredible sad food court. The only saving grace is the movie theater

Hillbillytc

Great mall they have a nice food court and theatre.

Shaylene Laderoute (Shay)

They should build an arcade or something entertaining. Lots of cellphone shops. I wouldn't recommend buying a phone there! Pricey and I wonder how they were able to unlock my "iphone" after I got locked out. So easy to trace info and use open source.smh. It's actually unfortunate because they don't offer a receipt, no liability right!!

Panta Mosleh

Love the stores there and there is a nice theater!! But honestly the area around it is fully of junkies and a little sketchy even though there is a lot of security and cops there.

Brad Best

Great place to grab a coffee or a meal in one of the food outlets or food court....catch a movie.... Exciting Chinese New Years show every February.... they have had some incidents such as shop lifting, druggies in the washrooms, people with mental illness ETC.... the rent here is expensive so there are alot of empty spaces

Walter-KEMBLE WellBredNfed

Nicely situated. Friendly staff. Plenty of room indoors & out. Parking by meter. Only criticism is upholstered club chairs not good for conversation. Size prevents close proximity to each other for chat & position causes neck strain. Perhaps that was intentional to give individual customers a sense isolation to read or use devices, free from any sense of obligation towards sociability. If you go with someone else your neck will thank you for avoiding them. Everything else great provided you like Starbucks coffee. XoXo ????????

Valerie Peters

Too many street people. Makes me feel dirty going in there. Wouldn't advise it.

Samuel “Rostapher 76” Davis

This place is awesome great place to go and look around and relax.????

Jimmy Harjadi

Awesome food court especially it has an Indonesian food stall that's a rarety. It is in a sketchy side of the town though.

BB Selvage

Great place to come out of the rain. Some interesting shops, a food court, and cinemas.

Geoffrey Pursel

Nice-sized mall with plenty to shop for. Not just full of clothing boutiques. Want a new board game? Go to One Stop Shop. Into dragons? There's a nice shop for that. Nice selection of food on the second floor.

Kani

This shopping mall doesn't have that many stores. But most of the shops aren't standard. There's a shoo with a lot of Japanese household products, kitchen ware, etc. There's a food court and movie theatre.

Star Lord

Its clean inside, washroom is not good, filthy and it seems they are not maintained, outside has lots of people seating and shooting heroin in the open. ????‍♂️????‍♀️

Steve Quinn

Free parking is always great! Theatre is looking a bit tired, but lots of screens, therefore lots of Movie options.

Jason Bergunder

What a great idea. A sweet bun, light, fluffy, and toasted with toppings. I had the Mascarpone and berry. A wonderful way of finishing off the night.

Albert Saravi

3rd floor thether with 12 spaces. Amazing friendly staff. Very good. Discounts online. All good. First floor is crowded by homeless.

Mr Ait

One of the best mall in Vancouver great asian food

Melissa Keys

Not a bad mall . But a great plant stand inside

Kirk Chantraine

Not a bad mall, but not a lot here. Good theatres, some art, great board games and sole random shops. Apparently footbridge clinic also counts as being part of it, but it's in the round about with T&T.

Renata Nunes

Interesting place. It's better going there in sunny days.

Matthew Nichiporuk

One of the weirdest malls in the city, nay, the world. Highlights include the Japanese dollar store, the board games shop, and a very decent movie theatre.

Nereid Lake

A lot of the "stores" here sell stuff no local householder needs. Rumour has it that they're really just excuses for "investor immigration", so don't expect the usual market forces to bring you much that you actually need! The drug store (Rexall) and the dollar store (Yoko Ya Ya) are useful and normal, though. Avoid the shoe repair here: the guy is exceptionally friendly, but his work is shockingly bad.

Ross Avena

Nice and quiet mall with food court and variety of Asian and fusion restaurant

Diego Moreno (Die4Go)

Good fast food places

Simon Kwok

I would honestly give this place a 2.5.. and maybe a 2 as it is an odd place, can you call this a mall, sure... a mall that doesn't have much to shop as the main vendors here would be the Cineplex upstairs, and the 7-11, McDonald's, and Starbucks below with a few more food stalls in the food court that keep this place going. I don't get it with this place but I do come to it when I do need to see a movie as parking is abundant. If you have never walked this mall and are looking for something new.. you'll be done in under 30 minutes.... nothing to see here, but a good place to meet someone as it is quiet.

Miguel Rodríguez

I come here to the best game store in Vancouver, which is worth the incoherent yelling and faint smell of crack.

Nahid Hussain

There's alot of stores here so hopefully you can find what you're looking for. Some are very empty though. The food court is pretty good, I really the the Vietnamese stall and the fried chicken stall, both amazing but very different price points.

coldbloodedkidder

It's mostly the indoor version of the tackiest parts of Chinatown....lots of cheap "made in china" trinkets

Nick Steinhauer

Was my first time there and I thought it was a good first time. Got the things I needed and it was very clean and lovely

Agnes Szilagyi

Don't see why this mall is still open, full of weird little stores that seem to be random and most of them are useless or random. Decent food court and has a theater

Venkat

Shady neighborhood with lots of drug users in the streets and pavements outside. Most of the shops inside the mall are shut. If not for the Cineplex I don't see a reason to go here. Very close to the metro though.

Keya Wheeler

Love this mall free parking omg in the middle of downtown imaging that. And a two dollar store with has everything you can i imagine and some....oh but wait movies and tanning salon hair shops all I can say is he'll ya!

SAM Chae

Good shopping mall for neighbors

Vinh Son Nguyen Dinh

More and more retailers are closing down in this neighborhood because of security and hygiene..

Christina Fulton

International village is a beautiful mall but unfortunately it is struggling to keep popular dtite a float in there I geuss the rent is outrageous cause the chocies of store is diplenushibg fast there is a couple of novelties store luggage shops and McDonald's the Japanese dollar store recall and with out the star bucks they would hardly be even on the map any more it's the neighbourhood we need to clean it up and get some name brand companies to invest in there and may Be we can pull it out of the slump I and many others in the neighbourhood would agree the movie theatre is on the top level and does attract many in the evenings but even just a theater can hold a mall together and with Costco just around the corner people can go there for 1 stop shopping I love the style of the international center and there's plenty of parking underground and street level we just need some faith and some big investor...

Tom Servo

Strange mall - half of the vendor space sits empty and most of the ones that are open are an odd and somewhat sketchy polyglot of niche shops. That said the anchor shops (Rexall and Oomomo) are very useful and there's a decent movie theater on the top floor

Brian C.

Great little mall. The Starbucks is awful. For some reason I really like this mall. I find it very friendly except for the Starbucks. This mall is clean and tidy. I am very comfortable when I am here.

Dalton Burgess

Limited selection of stores, constantly made to feel unwelcome in my own city, and an over eager security team seemingly looking to violently harass and remove people who appear to be a part of the marginalized population of the downtown Eastside. Conflict resolution training, customer service effort, and general human tolerance and decency would go a long way here. The theatre is great though...

Caroline Tremblay

Located in Chinatown. Reasonable size, clean and free Parking. Unique little stores and food court.

Gerry D

So much potential for this place but it looks dilapidated...perhaps because its Sunday and not many stores are open?

MaHmooD KhaN

The name is broad but nothing on international level I mean there is T&T super market plus some South Asian restaurant so nothing international compare to it's name but close to China Town and train station

Bijan Ahmadian

It brings vibrancy to the neighbourhood with the movie theatre being my most visited spot

Mai Yun La

This is one of my favorite malls in Vancouver, however, store hours do not match listed hours, they sometimes close early or do not open on time with no warning. This mall has two small Asian Art Galleries. One that I visited and like very much and one that has been closed every time I visit. There are stores and kiosks that sell lots of stuff made in China. If you want to see anything from the jewellery store you may need to call them in advance to arrange for someone to be there and let you in. The food court sells very tasty food at a decent price. TNT grocery store there has a very nice bakery and seafood section.

Stéphanie Angers

The first floor is a big sketchy... But don't be fooled. The food court as worth going for great Asian meals.

Matt Howey

It has some great stores and whatnot however it'd be tough spending a day there though

Sheida

A weird mall with no useful stores, other than a movie theatre and food court if you are hungry. But do not go here expecting a traditional mall with decent stores to buy clothes etc. There is a Rexall, a vitamin store, a game board store, 7-11 and not much else. Hopefully they rebuild and give this mall a lift as it really needs one.

Neto Nizio

Just another place. The Starbucks is a life saver, pay special attention to your belongings. It is common people complaining about theft.

Monika Makowski Gorman

Its clean, peaceful. A lot of businesses are shut down. There is not all that much that can be found in the mall any more. Since the mall has re opened its become so empty. There is a few regular, old stores that are still functioning.

Hanna Nguyen

Full of junkies around and inside the mall, and there are not many stores open, I personally dont like white light in general, make everything looks so cheap. The stores do not open at certain period of time like other stores in other malls, i mean sometimes i get there during day time and lots of them were closed, i dont know what's the open hour of those!

Paolo Cuéllar

Good place just NO SEATING BLOCKED between other patrons.

Sheldon Cooke

Cell phone cases screen protectors and set awesome daiso subsidiary that changed its name that I can never remember

Mohammad Foladpur

It was great to see ????and ????with place I visit ❤

William McElroy

INTERNATIONAL Village mall is also known as Tinseltown located at Pender and Abbott streets there's lots of great shops and has cineplex odeon cinemas wheelchair access on the second level there's multiple places to eat Los of seating on the main level there's license restaurants and McDonald's also the mall has different cell phone companies like Freedom and chatter also Fido is there two a d Rexall drugs or if you just like to sit and read a book and have a coffee there's a Starbucks location to so come down to the Village and have a great time.

Stephanie Whetstone (Tinny)

Allways bizzy allways good to walk a round outside and in the mall lots of great little Shops to look in and real to bey stuff for ppl at this mall has everthing full you want for a Downtown shopping mall it dose work out for being in the Middle of the Downtown Homeless and REAL deelp outher stuff

Cathy Puskas

There are quite a few empty shops. The theatre and catfe are the main draws, but there are some neat stores including a game shop, galleries, stationary shop, and shoe store. The food court is pretty good as well.

Donald L

Yoko123/Diaso is the anchor store in this mall. Movie theatres, Starbucks, McDonald’s, 7-Eleven and Food Court are also highlights to this mall. Proximity to East Hastings brings a gritty feel to this mall. Security is necessary presence. Free parking is handy.

Joel Kaplan

Love going to the movies and the free parking.

Bogdan Herinean

A mostly empty mall with bankrupt stores and very few services. I wouldn't recommend it for shopping I would only recommend it for spending time indoors if you're homeless

Diego L

The movie theatre is great and there is always so much variety to watch. The rest of the mall is super disappointing.

Robert Inglis

Good walk through the international village there's a grocery store and usually lots of people hanging aroung talking and enjoying the water park that is there it's right at the China Town skytrin station so to commute any where is fairly …

Howard Reid

Good mall... especially like Yoyo Yaya (Daiso).

Renée Barnaby

Nice little mall. They have some good stores and stores nearby as well.

Armeena Subahdar

Their food court is good. Maybe they need add in more stores that are actually useful.

Zhenia Poet

The best thing about this mall is the movie theatre and the free parking you get. Skip the shopping part unless you know the store there you want to shop at.

Mike Lockwood

its bery clean & peiple, family geared.coffee for grown ups McD's for the kids, anbthey have a wndertul selection or foobs in the food court.access is easy for all.very comfortable& cozy...as far as public places are concerned try the mall.see agreat movie at their multi- plex cinema, & have fun here

Georgio Reid

It'd be better if they're were more stores open, but now that covid restrictions agree over things should get back to normal, hopefully.

William Andrusco

Super ghetto, but you gotta love this place. Taco time, the Asian dollar store, board game store. Just great.

Jenna Mitchell

I'm always surprised that this mall is still open and operating, all the stores inside always seem empty for some reason but the mall as a whole is well run and very clean. There are some good restaurants and I like the movie theater- clean and not too busy!

Jeff Feng

I wish this place got more love but many people are turned off from it simply because of the neighborhood. The theatre offers some niche films which is nice! The food court has a lot of hard working people. The cat cafe is also a very nice addition.

Barra Wayne

Always a rather interesting anomaly of a mall to peruse...

Cameron Leyden

This place will bring about your doom. It has happened to better people than you. As thus I have rated it highly because I do not like you very much at all

Darshan Soni

A much warmer mall than some of the newer "glass and steel" developments further West. A refreshingly different selection of outlets and food court options. The area around it definitely not the most family friendly.

JC Adriana

Highlight of this mall is Yokoyaya the Japanese dollar store. They also have a good Rexall drugs that always has good prices and lots of clearance items. They also have a great movie theatre and the food court has a few different bubble tea places.

Gab Houghton

Sad little mall, about half of the shops are vacant. the proximity to skid row attracts junkies to come and shoot up- I stumbled upon a used syringe on the floor in the furniture store that cannot be unseen. The perimeter is filthy.

Joandi Fortner

I luv a certain store there were u và can by unique gorgeous rocks, + a deadly dollar store they shut down cuz of viruß or spmething

Bhagwan Athare

Immaculately equipped with over 60 retail stores, 10 LED displays, a convenient underground parking lot, and a food court that can satisfy the most curious of taste buds, International Village Mall is also proudly home to one of only two Cineplex theatres in the downtown Vancouver core. IVM is living proof that one can experience global offerings while staying local. By offering a unique blend of modern entertainment, commerce, art galleries, and a diverse range of services while remaining true to the cultural communities that define its surrounding neighborhoods, International Village Mall is a testament to Vancouver’s beloved multicultural landscape.

Daniel Meilleur

Could be a very nice mall. But for unknown reason it has never been popular and many shops spaces are empty.

Dmitry Lebedev

Always wonder how unsafe the hand rails to cineplex, don't go up if you drunk or high haha

Gabriel Richard

The place feels empty and sad but houses some very fun places such as Rain City Games and Find & Seek.

shawn joz

Parking was easy, it's free parking if you are going to go to see a movie Inn the theater the are lots of shops you can visit in the mall they have really cleaned it up since last time I saw the mall. There are alot of vendors seeking jewelry and phone covers and piercing. Saw alot of people not paying for the parking I have seen a guy patrolling the parking lot ever time I go there. China Town is just across the street as you can see the picture I took cane from one side and went out the other side to China Town.

Gwyneth Anne Jones

There are some fun stores here, the famous Cat-fe, a food court and a great movie theatre but it always feels half empty and a bit grimy.

Kris O'Neill

This place is not desirable at all, I feel sorry for the staff that have to work in there! It's not the Mall's fault, just the location, there are so many Junkies/addicts around on the street that they naturally pour into the Mall - not good at all!

Riza AA

It's a nice place to go and eat if you don't like crowds. There's a variety of restos on the food court from Indonesian-Thai, Korean and others. Also good because it has a huge washroom. They have some stores that are also open. If you want to drive and park in their underground parking, it's free for 2 hours.

TSNUXZ

There is not that many stores in there but the food court has a really good Japanese stir-fry place for a descent price. That's all I would go there for. Oh ya there is a pretty good kyosk in the middle there.

Adriana Orta

I only go here for the movies. The mall has an empty sensation, there is a good dollar store though but that’s about it. Parking is free which is good.

Anj Robinson

Quiet, not so busy mall.

Chris Sullivan

Good place to shop. I recommend this small to anyone doing some light shopping.

Dave The Bass Player

Same as any other T&T nice to see consistancy in a chain store

Stefanie Eng

There's cat cafe, movie theater, good Chinese food, and Japanese dollarama. There's also good pizza, McDonalds and a board game store. A great spot! The arcade and clothing stores are sad though.

paula kennedy

Always sparkling clean and joyous atmosphere. Directionaly possible without any anxiety. Bright and positive expiernce amidst these these troubling times.

matthew friesen

Hard to navigate as it has a strange floor plan however, other than that, it has some great stores and good deals.

Myles Kane

Mall could be nice, have been to the theater a few times, but stopped by recently and wanted use the bathroom, had to turn away, must have been more than 10 addicts half naked and shooting up... super scary, have lived in the area for many years, but never seen it like this, not even close.

Lyle Jones

Very relaxed shopping experience. Places to have cell phone and lap tops repaired! A couple of nice restaurants, and food court.

Rose Maxime

Love shopping in this mall, the dollar store especially is my favorite place (everything is $2.00's & up) plus they have a movie theater upstairs on 3rd floor.

Kevin Buckley

It's a mall. Not much to see here. They have a movie theater.

Jeff Francis

Really depressing...has gotten better sometimes, worse others. Selection of stores is somewhat ok, but so empty. Property management obviously doesn't care about the mall to price itself into oblivion. More and more offices moving in instead of retail.

Stephanie Radmore

Horrible experience everytime! Not a fan of being treated like I'm less-than simply because of the location of the mall. Also I'm not sure if most of the store employees that are working in the stores there, are aware of how they stare people down. It's a horrible feeling of being judged by everyone you pass by in there. Feels more of a "if you're white and in this mall, then you're not to be trusted" feeling.

Charles Perrot-Minot

A local heaven. Groceries, chip Asian stuffs for home, as well as great food. And there's a theatre. I really like that place as my go-to for an easy Saturday afternoon

Brian Joe-Peter

There are some nice aspects but it's a very sketchy mall. I would not send little kids to this area unaccompanied by an adult.

Angel D Wold

It's very small!! But you can usually find what you need/looking for here.

Deborah Brady

Vancouver has to clean up the sidewalks.... Sidewalks are for walking on....

Lynda Marie Neilson

Still a pretty cold feeling mall in my opinion. Never has been fully filled with stores that I can remember.

Sally Van Eycke

Hah. I'm s full head taller than the stall doors in the washroom. A little creepy because I can see others using the toilet as well as be seen when I am standing. A few stalls were also out of toilet paper.

Kate puim

If you're into Asian culture this is the place to go

Leda F

A weird mall Excellent parking Starbucks mobile order Taco time Galaxy eye wear I still need to visit the Cat cafe.

Sean Emerson

The only real reason to go here is the theater.

Mimi L

Oomomo is the only place that I shop in this mall but they moved out to Robson downtown now. Too bad

Reg Natarajan

It's got a nice food court. Much of the mall is empty. Lots of beggars and drug addicts. I like it but I won't seek it out.

Tim CM

Not in the nicest part of town. Quite confusing layout & not the best place for shopping. Food court is serviceable, but bathrooms can often be in need of a good clean. Cinemas are convenient but are quite dated compared to others around the city

Sohel Pasha

Food stalls are still open. But no sitting in the mall. Just for pickup

toni o

The International Village mall. If driving there's a 2 hour free parking which is an attraction to visit. It's location is ideal since its a 4 mins. walk from the Stadium Chinatown sky train station. Not to mention it's close by to T&T asian oriental supermarket owned by Loblaw which many may not know. Feeling hungry? Try the food court on 1st level with choices of delicious world cuisine or on the ground floor towards direction of West Pender, there's Congee Delight an authentic chinese restaurant. Usually crowded during lunch hours. What about entertainment? Take the escalator or elevator up to watch movies at the Odeon cinema. For budget shopping visit Yokoso a Japanese chain dollar store. Their prices are so affordable. There's lots to cover on the various on site retailers.

Lindsay Wells

Such an odd mall with hardly any relevant stores. However parking is free for first 2 hrs and those going to Cinemark movie theater on the top floor.

Kaito Forth

This place always feels half abandoned. If it wasn't for the movie theater and Yokoyaya not sure I would ever go.. the plant lady inside has decent selection too.

Sheila Matano

Easy to find and has a great food court. I got some plants from the nice lady who has a shop on the ground floor. She was extremely helpful and gave me detailed information on how to take care of the plants I bought we she freshly potted for me. Will be back to explore more of the food court. I hear the Thai is delicious.

Steve Quinn

Love the free parking when I pop down to catch a movie, though the mall itself never really flourished. I have heard rumours of a redevelopment.

david David Jolivet

Wheel chair friendly lots of specialty stores and not too crowded. This is a nice place to shop and they have tier parkibg same rates as other above and below parking. I saw several shoppers wirh there pets. Staff tell me that the rul is the dog or cat cannot be walked on the floor for obvious reasons. Theres a shoppers drug mart there at the Abbot street entrance. As well they have a huge Japanese dollar store. Check it out.

Gee king Chen

Have been to here many times. There are some interesting stores that make me come for purpose, one for coding meetup, one for fine art promotion, this time for Chatr's sim card recovering.

Andy

Well....there is NO arcade and the cineplex has been closed for sometime now. There’s a restaurant on the main floor called “Congee Noodle Delight” that serves very good Hong Kong-style Chinese food made to order that you can dine-in or order take-out (it’s one of my favs including my mom). It’s worth making a trip to....

Frank Hannig

Spacious, modern design with soaring lobby up to 3rd level multiplex cinemas. Great place for 1st run and independent films as well as Vancouver Film festival venue. Mall has big food fair with many options.

Celeste Munger

Free parking. Movie theatre. Excellent dollar store. Has interesting shows in the atrium for lunar New Year.

Grant Coleman

One of the strangest malls in the world!

Chris Gigliotti

This mall has so much unrealized potential, it's astonishing. The indoor space has an open, airy feel to it, and the upper level has a unique look and feel that you don't see in other malls. I just wish there was more vitality to the space. Every time I visit, it just feels so...hidden.

Tony Lim

Yes - it's free parking to shop here, but be warned - it's just not a safe area. Good chance your car may get broken into and vandalized. Mall security are sympathetic, but they can't be everywhere at once. Take public transit or park somewhere else.

Robert Howsam

Not much to the mall, except for the food court and an aging movie theatre. But there is a cat cafe ???? It straddles a neglected neighborhood and draws some challenging people.

Matt

Good food court. Not a lot of shops

YAN YAN TSO

The shops is very very very lacking. It seems like a jumble of haphazardly selected types of goods. Nothing stands out here. Not one shop. Not one brand name retail store. No gap no sportscheck no nothing. I read there was a McDonald’s here but it’s not very noticeable if it is here. They do have FULL working escalators (compared to Metrotown which is a constant issue they are always UNDER REPAIR (aka. They just turn it off to save energy there’s nothing actually wrong with them. They just leave the signs up all year round and rotate which ones they claim are out of order) The food court is also lacking. It’s either taco Thai or Chinese food ???? there’s 15 approx food booths. 5 ⭐️ on service in the food court. I’ve had someone come by twice in 20 mins. Trying to take my tray if I was finished. ???? compared to Metrotown you gotta bring your own stuff up to the clean up counter 5 ⭐️ on AIR CONDITIONING which is fantastic and good. Except up at the top by cineplex. That was hot like a sauna until you enter the actual theater area 5 ⭐️ on CLEANLINESS. the place was clean. And I mean clean. The tables are not sticky. There’s no litter on the grounds. The railings are clean. No smudges on the glass. It’s a nice mall. Just needs more store selection and variety. The bathrooms don’t smell like pee???? Overall. 5⭐️????

Landon Petzoldt

The International Village Mall has quite a few shops, but the building feels very industrial and boring. The building is mostly concrete and there is little effort put into making the place more lively. There are a few shops worth visiting, but I wouldn't go too far out of my way.

Tyson Wong

Neat little mall but really only has a theatre and Starbucks + Food court to keep it alive. Area is a bit dodgy at times.

Darlene Parker

Nice little mall. I bought a few things into this mall. People are friendly, and items there are reasonable price.

Francis Li

This place is conveniently located near the Chinatown Stadium skytrain station. There aren't a lot of stores to go to. Some of them are even closed during the day. Unless you are going to yokoyaya it wouldn't be worth it.

showcasesuccess

Not my favorite mall in Vancouver. They need better management for the businesses. Unfun except for the movie theatres which are the highlight of this mall.

Hans Erasmus

I needed a document scanned and this was done by Business Office very friendly and efficient.

Lauren Swain

Very small and quiet. The stores that are open are nice. Food court is good.

Warren Howard

This is different from other malls! Food court has some options you probably won't find anywhere else. It's literally 1 block from skytrain!

marita yeung

Sad! Quiet! Stores closed down, business slow. Too many homeless & beggars outside the building. Feel very unsafe & sorry for people living in that area, not to say tourists! ????

Andy Knight

Only place in mall worth visiting is the Caveman cafe or movie theatres.Other than that there's not much happening.

Christopher Nguan

Unfortunately this mall has been a bit of a zombie over the past many years and has not seen the same revitalization that the rest of Chinatown has enjoyed. Probably in the upcoming years, with all of the gentrification in the area, this mall will once again become a significant icon in the area, but right now however, it really is suffering, and there are really few stores to be considered for visiting at this point. With COVID ,the cinemas have been closed for months, and it is a ghostown inside other than for kiosks hawking phone cases and chargers, and the McDonalds anchoring one side of the mall that remains busy still. A starbucks and Rexall pharmacy anchor the other end and also are busy. Across the street is a very busy T&T asian grocery store. Parking is well situated however, albeit can be expensive.

blank

Most shops are closed. Bathrooms are open and clean. Security guards are diligent.

Zachary Zsasz

Mostly cheap cell phone stores, and a few chain restaurants, nothing special really but it's gotten more active since 2020.

Rachael GARTHSON

At International Village Mall, perspective is PEACE. The multi levelled, spacious, & colourful surroundings bring a feeling of inner harmony, complimented by the wide array of shops to bemuse the most eclectic soul. GREAT underground parking (two levels), an INTERNATIONAL cafeteria, & a large cinema complex in the sky, International Village Mall turns every indoor experience in to a THRILLING one!!!

Patt Intarakamhang

It has some small odd shops, a food court, and even an art gallery upstairs, but the mall seemed pretty dead.

Coco Bark

All malls suffer the same fate... however, there was a fabulous paleo cafe/restaurant and a cool game store. Check it out if riffraff doesn't bother you.

Derek Lee

Love the movie theatres, Yokoyaya dollar store, Catfe. Parking is ok , but if you stay more than 2 hours you may get ticketed

Mark G

Not impressed! after eating old crappy plate of food I watched the security guards abusing their force on someone outside who were then very rude and threatened me if I didn't "mind my own business"

Michael Greenwell

This is one of the saddest malls in Vancouver, you know you've messed up when half of the second floor is converted into an office. I always want to go to movies here, and then I think of where it is and wait for it to come out online. Flipside, the flying escalators are pretty cool.

Alain Chow

Free parking is the best thing about this place. And a decent Balinese place in the Food Court.

Kirby Swain

Went to the movies there and saw Dune. Awesome theatre with fantastic sound effects, loved the reclining seats. First time there and went to wrong theatre, missed 20 minutes of intended movie ????????????. Just be ready to shell out money for small popcorn and pop.

Carter Watson

Lovely place. Great movie theater. Only reason I give it five stars is because of the theater, the Catfé, and the Shiny Tea bubble tea place there. Also an amazing place. But there are frequent drug users crowding the entrance so be sure to go with a parent. Definitely worth a visit.

Jay More

Some of the pix are of T & T market not of international village. A couple of good stores but many empty, catcafe worth a look if you like cats.

B1GR3D (Blueeyedfire)

A lot to do in this mall, theres catcafé, the movie theater, and many other interesting and unique stores. Also a great place to take your children to meet santa in december

Paul

This place is is a sh**hole. 50% of the shops are closed/empty and the rest are worse than street vendors. The building is dark and dingy...I would hesitate to use a credit card or debit in this place for fear of theft/identity theft. Extremely misleading to even call this place a shopping mall...

Kelvin Chan

An ok mall that's kind of just hanging on. There's not much to make you wanna stop in. Just the cinema and a few fast food restaurants. It's too bad as it's in a great location with lots around it.

Nicholas John Ellan

Greatest public washrooms. Truly a critical public service being met by the free market. Study how this freakish nexus came to be: and compare to public offerings (victory square vs. Crab park)

dwayne rhoades

Only good if you're looking for a place to buy a cheap cell phone or see a movie maybe very few benches junkies and homeless all surrounding the building

Vincent Ting

This is a mall that is not dominated by large anchor shops. There is a language-learning institute on the third floor which teaches beyond common languages. If you like African-style clothing, you can get some at a shop on the ground floor. The food court opens at around 11:20am from my experiences. Note that there are no fewer than three entrances.

Ren Kennedy

Great eclectic funky mall with an awesome Theatre. Can be difficult to find where you are going but worth it when you get there. Elevator slow take the stairs for exercise and check out the gorgeous sweater store there really top quality good price and selection.

VEERA Yawson

A whole lot of shops with great stuffs such phone accessories, clothes, etc. at affordable prices. I visited Community Eye Care and I'm pleased with the service I received

Colin B

Went to T and T supermarket, great choices of food , good service. Today went back and picked up some nice chicken and other items for making soup.

Bj Woods

This place is crazy, had no idea it was even there. Went into the Bay and entered a mall. And the size, ended up two blocks over when coming out a different entrance. Cool spot.

dee tee

OMG. I forgot the name of the store, but it was something Yoko. Such a fun experience in a shady part of town lol. We enjoyed that store the most, because they have a lot of asian products for just a couple dollars. It was so cool. Once you walk out the mall though, you are in the GHETTO lol.

Tony H

This mall is a very strange place. There aren’t very many active businesses there. The theatre is probably the main anchor. Generally clean but quite worn down.

Vincent Lee

I love free safe parking at night time when I go to the movies. Also I am getting to know each store slowly because I'm now in the neighborhood more.

Andy Greene

Public washrooms, some fast food, variety of cellphone and costume jewellery dealers, a drug store, dollar store, games store, opticians, 711, liquor store, shoe stores, etcetera, hours 11a.m. - 5p.m. Centrally located. Not to be missed! Also known locally as Tinsel Town. Surrounded by a host of bars and restaurants, as well as Costco Price Club.

Blanche Cabeso

Great place if you like to have some chinese food. A lot of places to eat around the area

Stephanie Mailhot

Reminds me of the days of living across the street, super busy! Me am a home body. But great location for movie shopping and some yummy Chinese food !

Susan Patterson

Not much variety in the stores inside the mall.

Darcy Hawksworth

Nice looking mall but it's need more shops!

Robyn

Weird vibes, feels apocalyptic because of all the empty stores. Homeless people also scatter the outside and it's usually the ones who unfortunately have mental illness or disabilities (wish they weren't alone in the streets) but they can make young women feel unsafe.

B C

Horrendous place.. The public washrooms have street people who are shooting drugs. Never bring kids there.. The food court has very little variety. The Starbucks is a place where you have to hold on to your stuff or it gets stolen. My review is strictly don't go there...

Tony Fort

Pretty dead on the inside, probably due to covid. Quite the amount of people just sitting at the food courts also. Hopefully things turn around soon.

Gerald Lee

Good movie theatre because it's never busy but the mall doesn't really have too many stores.

Ellaine Chan

This is an interesting mall. I think the only reason why people go here is for the food options (McDonald's, foodcourt, cave man cafe, shiney tea etc.. ) , catfe, the cheap japanese store (like daiso but it's not), cineplex, and their free parking. I used to work by here so came here frequently for food and I never really saw anyone shopping in the other stores. A lot of storefronts seem to be permanently closed. I'd give it 3 stars but I'm adding an extra one for the free parking.

Scott Parker

Movie theatre here is decent but most shops are boring.

Natasha Jordan

The mall is very small but has greatest food court

rik'n rak'n an a fefifo

I've always enjoyed shopping, going to the cinema and eating at International Village Mall in Vancouver's Chinatown. I've lived in Vancouver for 20 years now and I go to the mall several times a week for one reason or another. Very diverse, wide variety of shops and eatery's to choose from.

Joe L

Decent food court. The Japanese store downstairs is a good place to shop for everyday items. The movie theater needs to be updated.

Tim Westman-Barth

I didn’t wander the whole mall, was only there for the movie theater. The theater was great, a little messy, but most theaters are (popcorn spills easy). The mall that I did see was mostly closed after the movie let out so I didn’t see much, but it felt a little cramped. More of a layout problem than a maintenance problem, but some better lighting and/or fewer decorative bits along the walkways could help.

Avtar Singh

Good East Asian food shops ...

youngji kim

Close to skytrain, free customer parking available for 2 hrs. Movie theatre, few fast food chains near by. Walking distance to gas town.

Johnson Nguyen

Too many drug users around dont feel safe. The mall can be cleaner. Service is mediocre

Josh Straker

Excellent Mall with lots of stores including cell phone repair, optical, McDonald's,Rexall- Drugstore, food court and Movie theatre upstairs.

David Horbas

Strange place! It's like being in the twighlight zone. Was suppose to be this amazing mall but it's half abandoned. Japanese dollar store is on point tho and worth the visit every time.

Gordon Collier

Lots of little shops with different things for sale. There is a movie theater there also.

Nicole Aseron

They have a great Chinese food restaurant here on the main level. Great prices. Also a Japanese dollar store which is pretty cool. The only problem with this mall is its close to the ghetto so some people in the mall are not the nicest so hold your wallets and purses close to you. Otherwise check it out. There is even a cat cafe.

K

This places has an eclectic selection of shops, liek a cats cafe, and like the name suggests, the food court also has a strong international flair. One can find food from all over Southeast Asia, which inludes China, Vietlam, Japan, India and Thailand, and there are also a couple of fast food places too. There is also a movie theater too, so all the entertainment needs are covered.

Juan Carlos

Its been well cleaned an maintained place. A very convenient location. Almost everything you can find here..

pamela cookson

I need to go back as I went on the long weekend so most of the shops were closed, definitely want to check out the dragon store, saw some rugs I want, and I also want the big white dragon stuffy they have on there

David Yates

Extremely mediocre mall, best thing is the Rain City Games in there

Shullay O

The wow thai at the food court is great. The pad thai is the best I have tasted. Excellent customer service as well.

toffy concepcion

This was once a great mall. The movie theater here plays movies after their large volume screenings. There are a few interesting stores and restaurants. They have ample parking. HOWEVER the drug users are big problem. A man with a cart and dog just barged into the women's restroom while blocking the door. Not aggressive but really scared my young daughter. When she ran out and went to the rest room on the ground floor, it was closed because paramedics were treating someone for an overdose. There was someone shooting up right in the food court. This was on Saturday at 530PM.

Peter Rabbit

The mall has a deserted feeling. Not all store spaces are leased. The coolest thing about this mall is Catfe. There are 3 cellphone repairs stores on the lower level along with a Freedom mobile shop. The external stores get more action. If you need a cellphone case, or cellphone cards, sim cards things cellular you can find them here. Luggage and some shoes. I'm told that the fast food is good. I've never tried it so I can't say first hand. One totally cool feature is the movie theater. Love that this place is never very crowded, the seats slightly recline. A very different kind of shopping mall experience. Different, not bad, just different.

B L

Why are there escalators on the west side that only go up, you must walk down the very long staircase.? Cost savings? I won't forget your cheapness in design.

Jake Miller

It has a theater that will show films when the other theaters have stopped showing them for newer releases but this mail is mostly empty most of the time and offers very little reason to go visit.

Asiyeh Safarpour

You can find every thing there. It was like a small china????????

L Fong

We went to the congee and noodle place, i.e. Cantonese style Street food, it was good and sure hot the spot. Also just 5 minutes from T&T Super market and Costco, very convenient!

ehridium

A very interesting food court! Some unusual, but good shops. You may be disappointed if you are looking for more normal items. It's name should let you know to expect more esoteric items.

Sam Kellett

Very eclectic group of stores in the mall. The highlights are rain city games and the cineplex.

Dar Corr

Great mall, not great in the way that Metrotown is great, that is to say, huge. Because Metrotown kind of sucks in a lot of ways. No, International Village is small, and it has weird shops, and they are mostly independent and good. Game Stop is my favourite game store, for example. The theatre is excellent, plays a variety of films, not just the latest blockbuster. The food court had some gems last time I was there, as well, like the Sri Lankan place.

A-L Richards

Not too much in the mall of interest to me other than Yokoyaya and the drugstore. I also found a nice shoe store where I purchased 2 pairs of great quality shoes (Dansko and Blundstone) for lower prices than other shoe stores. The saleswoman was friendly and helpfull.

Heidi Whitehead

This is a basic necessity mall. Pharmacy, cell phone shop, McDonald's, Starbucks, a few small kiosh's like Chatr, & a cell phone repair shop, Travel agent, and maybe one or 2 stores that are not even chain stores.

Philip L

This place near China stadium to waterfront.international with various culture, store .drug store,TnT supermarket, hair cut..Man,lady..Cineplex,lot of island replace screen for phone, one store sell Diaso product .house cleaning, kitchen ware.snacks...many other item...

Kitty Laflamme

OK I'll tell ya what I love about this place...where to start.?10 Yrs or so(mybe 20) They built this mall called International Villiage, in the middle of skid row. They spared no expense. Rosewood, or what have you was hand carved as a moulding surrounding the mall.Hand Carved, depicting I.V. scapes..the floor is some Italian type of tile that was brought from the Old country and the Artisans with them. There is a Cineplex Odeon, which houses 6 or 8 theatres. 10$ box o corn etc ( the usual)bring your own stuff. I refuse to pay 5$ for a pop. Great variety of stores , kiosks, food court (international garbage) lots of factory outlets (they seem to be always changing) Well anyway place was a flop! They actually gave people stores to lease free for a yr or two..There are always great deals , its always empty, and they have a clear elevator. Dont be afraid to barter. Better known as Tinsle Town. Go on line see what they hve. They always hve Parking LOL But seriously good stores. Open late like after 12..(lunch.(some) Kitty out????????

Richard Humpert

This is a mall run by the Chinese community, it's expensive with limited verity. The tinsel town theaters are located here atop third floor, they to are expensive but, it's usually well run.

JFTT88 A

Food Court has nice options. You can still catch a movie there. Free parking. Less sketchy on the entrance by the Starbucks and T&T area. The turnoff is all the bums using the washrooms and digging in the trash can for food. They will also …

Nick Pizza

The mall is okay. It always seems eerily empty. nice parking lot though

Micha Livne

Professional, friendly, and perfectly located in downtown Vancouver. I had the pleasure to be treated by Dr. Amer Khakwany. If you are looking for a dentist in Vancouver, I highly recommend Tinseltown.

Cynthia Reed

Weird mall. High-end stores in a seedy neighborhood. Recommend going for the cinema, cat cafe, gamer store, and great dollar store. But stay out of the public bathrooms as many of the homeless people in the area spend their days there.

Rick Pappin

The facility is very nice, but it has always had a shortage of "Quality Tenants"... The Main Exception to that criticism is the "Catfe" speciality Cafe where you can spend time with Cats ???? available for adoption!

Crystal Bear

Love the shoes places and i love getting my games there.. The little kiosks are great..

Marnee Klintworth

Always an interesting mall. The "dollar store" isn't your typical dollar store. They actually have a large selection of kitchenwares and tools, gift wrap and goodie bags for parties and celebrations, makeup, lipstick, eyeshadows and good quality mascara (would rather buy mascara here than pay ten or fifteen bucks in some of the larger drug stores). Great place if you are looking for something specific and not been able to find in other dollar stores or someplace that charges alot if money. A food fair on upper floor, theatre, couple ethnic restaurants, an art gallery/Asia antiquities and almost forgot - one of the most interesting and first CATFE (where you can visit kitties who are up for adoption and in meantime just need a pat on the head and a lap to sit in - we all need that! Also Starbucks, Rexall Drugs, McDonalds and 7-11 here. A couple of shoe stores, drycleaner/alterations, Thisce is across the street from The & T Grocery. Always a community event going on, handmade flea market or competition of some sort ( singing, dancing, etc) and ethnic holidays are always celebrated at this mall. LOTS of interesting places and well worth coming here. Don't just walk through. make sure you stop and look - don't just walk through and leave out the other doors. It's an interesting mall if you take time to look around, enjoy .

Max Forsyth

Weird mall, always take a detour through here. If you want to live late 90s life in Vancouver go here. Food court is great, there's a boardgames store...and...oh ya the catfe, catfe is awesome. And the movie theatre is bizarre and amazing.

Skedo Medo

Very old style place, looks a bit gray and quiet. But you can find there a lot if cheap stuff for everyday needs, unlike regular mall which has mostly clothing.

Ed Wong

Came here for chinese new years festival. What a great show with the kids performing on stage and the dragon dances. Parking took awhile to find tho , but it was all good.

22 -

Mall is fine, but nothing interesting. Food court is average. Cinema is good, but not perfect. If you work/live nearby it worth visiting this mall.

THOMAS MARTIN

Just passed through on my way to Chinatown. Big white elephant mall. So many empty shops.

Rex W

Shipping around.next to skytrain.goog amazing.

Janice Mann

I like this mall, but can't love it. It has an extremely convenient location downtown by Skytrain and T & T Market, and is modern and spacious. It has a few interesting businesses, like the cat cafe, but it remains half empty and my fàvourite business, a modern art gallery, has disappeared. Mostly of interest for a comfortable and friendly Cineplex Theatre. I was there recently at 5:30 p.m. on New Year's and all the mall washrooms were locked though some of the restaurants were still open.

Jos One

Quirky mall always has a surprise or two in store for you. Awesome movie theatre and food court. Free parking.

Serghei Pirau

Even before the covid pandemic this place lacked some starpower retail brand-wise. Now the place is half empty.

Julie Wong

A bit on the quieter side of things but it's nice when you just want to enjoy a slow day. Movie theatre up top with a good selection of food choices in the food court.

Michael Kehl

This mall feels like its waiting to die... unless you want a Starbucks or see a movie, or maybe pet some cats, then probably not much here for you...

Marisa Zed

There's not a lot of options however I appreciate that it's always clean. Who could say no to daiso? Tinsel town is usually the reason I visit. The art gallery usually has some exciting pieces to look at but it's hours are daytime only so not a good option for the 9-5 crowd but what galleries are? I appreciate that every time I've been to this mall it's never too crowded.

Victoria Stavnitzky

There was an actual human poo on the ground beside where I parked in the underground mall parking lot. I was moaned at and sniffed by 2 separate men within minutes of being inside the mall. This is one of the most disgusting, unclean, creepy places I've ever been and I will never ever be going back. 0/10, do not recommend.

John Dumont

No Ev chargers here yet. Shady clientele. Only come here for caveman cafe and the odd movie. Crack head wandering around parking lot asking for money. Moved to a different spot. 10 minutes later she is still walking around the cars. Tried to call the mall security to report it but the admin number vm is full. One would think there would at least be an option for mall security. This isn’t a bad review for the victims of the drug trade but towards the mall administration. 17 years been coming here for movies and never had a break in. Why am I even doing a review??

Erin Keilty

Rexall, Liquor Store, McDonald's and the jewellery kiosks. Close to home. Easy shopping.

Pascal Pillot-Bruhat

A very convenient mall with a good variety at the food court. There is quite a bit of rotation in the stores suffering from the proximity of Hastings but the place is well kept, easily accessible with 2hr free parking in downtown Vancouver!!!

Albert Leung

Nice convenience 2 hours free parking, unfortunately most of the shop were closed due to covid-19. Not enough ambient light in the hall.

Monica Low

I have grabbed a quick meal here before seeing a movie. The food from the Thai Restaurant was good. I like the fact they bring in movies here that are not necessarily the current #1 on the charts but are nevertheless good. Just prior to Easter they had 2 Christian movies : I Can Only Imagine and Paul the Apostle that were excellent.

Ruby Hayat

Lots of Chinese food options and some inexpensive assorted products available for sale, such as cell phone covers, artificial jewellery, sunglasses, planters etc

Satish Bakshi

Very user friendly. All amenities at a reasonable cost. Great place for shopping and passing time in a relaxed manner

Chris Kooiker

Barely any stores, best thing there was the liquor store

Kat P

Always enjoy going to Yokoyama for cheap but long lasting stuff

Dana MacInnis

A quiet mall with a good dollar store and a good food court. The Ramen Noodle stall makes an amazing pork and garlic noodle soup. There is not a huge selection of stores with very few clothing stores. There are great buys on shoes and cell phones though. Enjoy :)

Kana H

This place has so much potential but instead it's kind of a waste of space. I think some of the shops are fronts for money laundering schemes. Either that or rent must be super cheap. I'd hate to be a tourist and come here thinking it's a mall. The good things are the convenience to the skytrain station, Yokoyaya ('dollar' store), the movie theatre, a couple vendors in the food court, and the free parking which is not really monitored if you plan to watch a game at Rogers Arena.

M Ho

this shopping mall is quite pleasant , although there are not many shops inside and especially the second floor with almost half of the spaces not occupied , it actually has most of the needed stores in there , like 7-11 , starbucks , mcdonald's , drug store , fido , freedom , cafe , pizza place , liquor store , and yokoyaya which is a japanese store with thousands of cute and fancy items in there ranging from kitchen stuffs , snacks , garden needs , toys , stationary lots of everyday needs , fun place to visit ! food court is on the second floor and also cinemas on the third floor , if you only go shopping the parking lot downstairs has 2 hours free parking for customers , for movie goers that need longer hours don't forget to buy more time from the ticket machine , they do have people check parking lot all the time , wouldn't like your car get towed away ! only thing missing from this mall is a post office , otherwise this tiny mall is almost perfect , and T&T super market plus lots of sushi restaurants , pizzas , corner store all just across the street very convenient place to go to !

Ann L (Faye)

There are some really special shops in here that are missed out on. I was down on lunar new years and it was great to see it so busy. It looks like the city is making a lot of effort to revitalize Chinatown and I'll try to drop by more often. A few things to check our are the games shop, different food, the galleries and the cat cafe (though they are always busy).

HRDSNET “HRDSN” Uganda

Very nice

HRDSNET “HRDSN” Uganda

Very nice

Parvaz Janoon

This place didn't get the momentum it deseve (i believe due to expansive and limited street parking) but nice shopping plaza I didn't find the time to explore fully but my first impression is it's mostly food, groceries, small electronics, and gaming shops there and of course full floor bound for cinemas (with free parking privileges) if you have free-time & energy check out this place...... if you get tired Starbucks is also there.....

Paul Mcclaskin

Looks like a great mall but didn't have much time to spend there as most places were closed. However wouldn't bring my family to the McD's. A lot of scretchy people there. Only gave it a 3 only because it was late.

M Chan

Free underground parking, decent food court with mom and pop shops. The mall itself is pretty empty, but has a dollar store, some fast food chain, cat cafe and a movie theatre that shows more international films.

Christine John

There's not enough shops in this mall there is absolutely nothing really that you want to buy so you get stuck buying whatever they got there if that makes sense

P D

Beautiful...

Chris Top

This mall is more for Eastern Asians than any of your typical westerners if you're Eastern Asian this should be a good place to start with connections in town but you're better off to go to Richmond sorry but being honest is being honest

Kevin Brooks

Awesome music with a smooth groovy vibe!!????????????????

Jennifer

Worth a visit

自由不散漫

An old fashioned mall conveniently located in China and cross the street is T&T market. Pretty unique in design with entrances in all directions. Food court services are available both in first and second floor with multicultural selection. The Kampuchea drink serviced at Cavemen Restaurant downstairs are brewed in house, super fresh and tasty too. Ginger is my favourite.

Peter Crisp

Mall a bit dated. Still well kept up and there's a comfortable food court.

Simon Hare

There's an Indonesian or Malaysian food shop in the food court which I ate at a couple times - super yummy and I found it different - spicy. The couple running the place were very friendly. Would definitely go there again.

Kevin Harding

Used to be a ghost town, now it's a small village. Some lovely shops, a fake Daiso, a cat cafe, and a number of studios. The board game shop is great.

Kelly Johns

Nice not too crowded, no line ups, good food court upstairs

Dallis Swiatek

One of the few places nearby that offer a public washroom. There is one washroom for the whole mall and often it is closed due to some sort of incident.

Brad Thiessen

The mall itself is lovely, but there are a huge amount of empty stores. The operating hours has always struck me as a little odd.

Stephen Dzienis

I've always liked walking through Tinseltown Mall and checking out the kiosks and shop's. I've been to the movies there many times and had lunch with a friend in the food court. There's a 7/11 and a McDonald's there as well.

Nona Bear

Only go there for birkenstocks but the store makes its own hours it seems. Not same as mall hours. Everytime I go it's closed.

Roberta Baptiste

Excellent friendly staff at Recall..helpful pharmacist whom got me started on my smoking management plan

Chilwin Cheng

Weird location. Weird selection of stores. Terrible parking lot with a very confusing parking policy. Probably wouldn't come here except for the movie theatres. Not clean. Bathrooms are scary.

Wow, come to this mall many times for years, never know there are nice stores in the back, my wife found her favorite shoes store Amandas Shoes, she has Birkenstock and Blundstone, before we thought only one shoes store here, but now we found another one, and I found my favorite games store called One stop shop too, and African store and others, lots of surprise! why don't they have any sign to tell us there are more stores behind? they should have more signs, if they do, I am sure this mall will be busier, cause we have more choices!

Jay St.germain

it is a very nice place, however the geographic localle is less than optimal, that said the services are as good as can be expected while cheaper than might be expected from a lot of the other outlets. Also not a lot of wait time in line-ups as it is not a busy place.

Robyn

Weird vibes, feels apocalyptic because of all the empty stores. Homeless people also scatter the outside and it's usually the ones who unfortunately have mental illness or disabilities (wish they weren't alone in the streets) but they can make young women feel unsafe.

Jay

We patron the mall frequently. They have the only authentic Indonesian joint in town, Bali Thai. And the 2 hours free parking allows us to visit other vendors without having to worry much about time.

Vivian Kwan

This mall has improved significantly over the years, they have better store offerings now, including some good deals at shoe stores that sell known brands, several hair salons, and a restaurant on the first floor with good chasiu (BBQ pork). Of course there's also Yokoyaya (aka Daiso) which may just be the sole reason you ever come to this mall Downtown/Chinatown.

Paul Möller

Close to being a horror film set. Not a lot of people, bathrooms in bad condition. I'd rather go around it

SiuWan Ng

Cineplex Odeon are located in this mall. The mall have the underground parking without pay within 3 hours. There are food court, Congee Noodle Delight and Starbucks in this mall. You don't have to worry when you are hungry. The Stadium Sky Train Station are very very close to this International Village Mall. So convenience to everybody.

Brian Wong

This place was so sketchy. Felt unsafe. Walked around for 20 and left. When the underground parking lot has signs that read "car thieves work here", you know it's time to go.

Pascal Pillot

I like this mall. It's unique, prime location, free, parking, unique shops even a cat café... Why is it it is not more popular and successful?

Charlie Nam

It's taken many years to fill this mall. Now that it's finished it's a great place to get a quick meal. They have pretty much what you need.... even movie theaters.

Larry Glowacki

The only good thing about this place is a parking downstairs is cheap and it's locked at night you have to buzz to access your car at night

Ashley Umali

The washrooms aren't hygienic to be in it smells like urine everytime I go there. not the best place to be in

Brendon Ling (BLing24Karat)

Scary ghost mall. Dying. McDonald's doesn't even offer refills. Paleo cafe/rain city games /cinema/Japanese $ store /catcafe, that's it. That's all. Food court dying 9-11

Brody Porter

It’s a shame this mall is the way it is. It’s located by historic Chinatown and does have a few fantastic stores inside, unfortunately there’s not much here. This mall is surprisingly vacant, not to mention the design of this mall is really bad making most stores hidden or hard to find even in such a small mall. The concrete look of the inside leaves much to be desired and the bathrooms are something I dread going into. If you’re going to this mall, check out Oomomo, Caveman Cafè, the African store, or the Cat Cafè. I really hope this mall gets the love it deserves, it could be so much better than it is. Even then it’s worth it to stop in and check out what this mall has to offer.

Kim Keable

I will never use the food court again or go to it because most of the servers are very rude and look down at you if ur not Asian, I have experienced this in the food court several times but the main floor is not as bad with their customer service skills.

Jean Austin

Mall itself is great. The security is a little judgemental toward people. Need to learn how to talk to people instead of trying to intimidate them.

Darlene Dixon

Had my first experience eating Sri Lankan food and chai tea in the food court, the mail is well lit and not too loud, I liked that it is located near China Town

Patrick Engee

Nothing really to go to, just movie theatres. Food court doesn't offer much variety. At least give me a name brand like a Nando's or A&W!

Karen Miranda

It's like I've always said, it's a great mall. The BC liquor store is there. ‼️????A thumbs up for that!

Olia March

The saddest "mall" I have ever been to. Almost all the stores are closed. McDonald's entrance we used looks like the headquarters for people on drugs.

Adam Kou

This mall is awesome. All the washrooms include flushable toilets! The mall is connected to the electricity grid, so all the shops are well illuminated. Great job International Village Mall!

BCPB1223 Juice

Always busy, always got lots of activity. One of my favourite spots to stop in Vancouver on my journeys

Rebecca

International Village Mall is a nice little shopping center where you can find stores like Yoko Yaya, Starbucks, McDonalds. Good selections of food on the second floor food court. Movie theater on the third floor. Free 2 hours parking underground.

Nina Bahrami

It's good as you find rexal, starbucks and T&T around makes it sooo convenient but I don't like its location

Mak Martin

Great selection of shops. Diverse offerings, great shoe stores, major phone company kiosk. Awesome optician, food court has lots of options. Please see security for hand towels on lower floor. Air dryers have been broken for months.

Patricia House

The mall is not the biggest, not enough stores in my opinion. I only visit the movies and McDonald's because there's not much else.

Mehr Poulad

The mall itself is odd and there are very few proper stores. The food court has little to choose with but there is a decent pho place. The free parking and movie theatre is why you should go here. Downtown Vancouver parking is terrible so to be able to park for free while at the movies is worth the trip. Movie prices are less than scotiabank especially on Tuesday’s.

ron Wallace

Would be a 5 star if they kept the weird gross people out of the bathrooms, movie theatre makes it worth going to.

Jonathan C

It's sketchy , whole lotta shady trolls and gremlins stirring about , but there's some gems around here and a decent food court not to mention a movie theater. When they create a police state and sanitize cities we're all going to miss places like this.

BC

Great place to shop and dine. Lots of restaurants in the food court. Great Cineplex movie theaters and ample free underground parking.

C Me

I really like the mall. Lots of shops . It's never really crowded. Food fair is good lots to choose from. Public restrooms. Lots of free parking as well. If your bored there is a full size Movie Theater there as well

Joe Mama

In the middle of Crackton, 7-11 is sketchy, Cineplex movie theatre is gross. The mall seemed decent if you make it alive and don't leave anything in your car if you park anywhere but in a proper parkade. Pretty sure the car will be on cement blocks when I get back to it. Can't imagine taking transit and having to walk more than a block in this area.

Ben Reside

Slow foot traffic, excellent customer service from shop management and free 2 hour parking what more do you want downtown!

julie sanderson

Located in Vancouver's Chinatown at Pender and Abbott Streets. Very quiet and clean mall. Food Court, a multi-level structure with various smaller shops and services with a 'Yoko Ya Ya' discount store featuring quality Asian products at low prices.

John Nguyen

Theatre box office not open. Have to buy ticket online

Mehraneh Mehr

This is the second time within the last 8 years that my car glass got broken, parking in that parking lot is very dangerous, I only been there few times. I don't even go there that much.

Elizabeth Van Beethoven

They wanted me to wear a mask. I refused. And spent my money @ Pacific Center happily!!! Joy! Love my new Lululemon scuba hoodie!!???? This mall is half empty now and even the 7-11 has closed permanently. The McDonald restaurant is small and their staff took 20 minutes to make a caramel Sunday, none had done this before so I watched as the manager & 3 employees Google the information. Ugh and depression sets in so be warned. Also, the whole place is cockroach infested and will climb into your bags so avoid the public restrooms!

We used to come here years ago for movies. We came back recently to check it out, as we were in the neighbourhood. Most stores were closed. The big Japanese store was open. It sells stationery, household cleaning and sewing products. It is not a lively place. Not very bright. I did not venture too far in and what ever I saw was clean.

Jon L

It's a very quiet mall. There are some good solid businesses, but not too many. It's like many malls going through the difficulty of the changing times and trying to keep businessrs. The biggest attractions are the restaurants and the Cineplex movie theatre.

Sunil Agarwal

It is an average sort of a mall. Maybe it was great at one point of time, maybe it is great by Vancouver standards because I really haven't visited any other malls in that city but I have been to malls in many cities in USA, India and I have also visited malls in Hongkong, Singapore, Bahrain and that was over twenty years ago and I am forced to say that this doesn't compare favourably with any of them. Food court was also fairly average but the Thai food we had wasn't very great.

Jefray Magnusentosa

Went to see the best mall Santa Clause who was surprisingly took his time to interact with my excited kids, he even played a saxophone for my toddler daughter. The mall itself has everything including a Cineplex movie theatre as well great food court. A must visit when you are in Chinatown Vancouver!

Yvonne Kelly

Didn't have enough money or time to see all stores A couple more trips are in line!!!!

PS

Beautiful created labyrinth. Wheelchair accessible. Bus and train accessible. Super Clean. Lots of natural lighting. I heard food at the Court is good and there's a variety of Asian dishes.

Joanne Armstrong

Good.

Jan Three Suns

Quiet place seems haunted...just kidding...haha????????????????

Wayne Chen

Not sure how to describe this mall... It's been around for almost 20 years and yet still hasn't found it's identity. A collection of shops and stores that were put in place just to fill up the empty space. The only reason people still go is perhaps the theatre!

Cosmo Kwan

Location, Locations is so important in businesses. Matter what products you have, matter of the location will sell its business, product. I have to say the Mall is average stage since opened. Lots of or few of the food courts are emptied out or on its edge due to the lack of flow, compare to CNY or other events at the Mall. But have to say its not as thriving or much to see especially on the 2nd floor ( Catfe, few of the food courts vendors ) other than that its not much a Mall. Wish they could redevelop more into a real Mall. Depressing Mall in Downtown area.

Paul Hulme

Love the Place so many Store's in one Mall and has a Food Court and Movie Theaters and I go there every Chance I get ❤

shannon wildeman

Hate being racially profiles everytime Ingo into Rexxal .. hate that store to begin with... couple of years ago I bought a prepaid card and I was ripped off had to find the CEO of the company for an immediate refund....

Chris Fox

Half the businesses are closed. Benches have been taken out

Isaac Bacon

Unbelievably friendly staff. Amazing and fresh food. Took the time to show and explain the process of shucking oysters. 10/10 will recommend to everyone
