I have been shopping here for 6 years and have bought many gifts for friends. It has recently been taken over by new ownership. I was looking for some trivets that weren't in store (they had prints but not the trivets). The new owner ordered them in for me, they arrived promptly and he even offered to ship them to me so that I wouldn't have to drive back to Banff (from Calgary). But the weather was good so I came to pick them up! Thank you!

After receiving a Christmas gift purchased at this store, they readily assured my parents that I could exchange it as long as I had the receipt. Being from a city 4 hours away makes it difficult to exchange goods purchased in Banff. 6 months later, I try to exchange the unused and in mint condition (tags still on) bag which is still in stock for one that is a different colour and they will not take it back. Said I’d passed the 1 week exchange period and that I’d have had to make the extended exchange deal by email or written form. Disappointed that I can’t count on the word of the store owner, nor have him realize that at the end of the day, he still would have sold the bag. If I can’t trust the word, what makes me think I could trust an email. Would not recommend shopping from this place if you’re not absolutely sure your gift will not need to be exchanged. No gift receipt either.

HORRIBLE service. The staff was rude! My family and I entered the store, and started looking around. I have a young daughter (2 years old) and I know shop staff/owners don't like that because it makes them nervous that they will break something. Totally get it. BUT I made it clear out loud to my little one that she is not to touch anything breakable or anything without me right there. She didn't until we saw some travel mugs. She picked up one, set it down gently after saying the "animal" that was on it and then moved to the next... WITH ME RIGHT THERE showing her the mugs, making sure she was gentle and not damaging anything. The woman walked over to me, after stopping mid-sentence with another customer to tell me "she too young to be touching ANYTHING!". I mean really, with her own mother there picking them up too with her?? We don't want your crappy faux grass flip flops and travel mugs anyway, About Canada. Thanks for being "family friendly" in an extremely family oriented tourist location. DON'T SHOP HERE!

I found my self in the store more than once, as there was so much to see. I will go back again next time in Banff and would recomend to anyone visiting. They have a Great selection of souvenirs, art, carvings, paintings, and jewellery made by local artists at very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and helpfull.

Horrible customer service, treated me and my husband like criminals when in the store because I was wearing a hat and he was wearing a bandana (covid reasons/safety). Fair enough we can't take photos but he was super aggressive about it and wasn't pleasant at all. Cost him quite the sale on a few items because of his profiling demeanour!!!

Authentic Canadian stuff. Reasonably priced and great selection ! The new owner makes it a point not to keep any product in the store that's made outside Canada. In this day and age you'll be hard pressed to find anything that's not made in China ! I hope they'll consider opening up a location in Niagara Falls, ON. Keep it up, About Canada !

I do like the souvenir they sell since they're different from the other shops on street. Staff are not so friendly and rather pushing though. I can't really relax and do the shopping.
