It's heartbreaking to see what used to be a bustling shopping centre transform into a derelict, empty, and sad building. Very few stores, dated facilities, and lack of staff make for an unpleasant experience overall. Here's hoping their management team can turn it around.

I I live in Sydney Mines so it is really convenient for me it may not have everything you need but it got the basics. But now it got a jewelry store up there and I catch myself shopping there at least twice a month it's a beautiful store and I really enjoy shopping there. The lady that works there is the sweetest and most nicest person you could ever meet & she is cool to talk to and carry on with. And the jewelry that they sell there is worth every cent I love it

Empty lifeless mall. It is evident that many people used to roam here until more of Canada's baby boomers' children started to move to Ontario. The place gives you the chills and doesn't offer much other than a Wal-Mart.

I remember when malls were fun. Walmart and Sobeys are inside but I tend to shop in the larger versions in Sydney or online for better prices/ selection. ... After returning to Canada from Asia after 10 years I went back to the mall for nostalgic reasons. Walked around to look at all the empty space. Shocked by the ghost town vibe. Felt the urge to hit the bathroom. Upon entrance, soon left and was no longer shocked. The one bathroom was too dirty for me to use without cleaning it up first, but that's not why I left. The place is scary dead and doesn't have anything that I need at a competitive price. The lack of size/convenience only takes me to Sobey's for odds and ends and I tend to avoid Walmart's products because of poor quality.

Living in North Sydney it's a shame to see such a great space wasted. There are next to no stores in the mall, it would be nice to see the place come to life again and provide some job opportunities to the people around the area.

A shell of it's former glory days, the Northside Mall still has some good stores but overall lacking in variety. Walmart on one end and Sobeys on the other with lots of free parking.

It's just so depressing to see so many stores shut down. It's lifeblood and vitality is gone. Making still established businessess, work that much harder for their share of the market. Most people will pick up occasional or emergency products. Use Sobeys for food shopping, but as a whole, most will just continue to Sydney where they can choose from many malls and get their shopping done all at once.

It is easy to get in and out for what you are looking for. Not many shops inside but there are a few that are fantastic and really friendly staff. The Sobeys store here is my favorite location!! The staff is so amazingly unbelievable!! They have such a great availability of stock and it is a very clean and well laid out store!! But the fact that the staff is amazing really makes it my very favorite Sobeys Store!!

This once vibrant mall was the go to place for shopping on the Northside. Sadly it has gone the way of many good malls & was reduced to basically 3 anchor stores & a souvenir shop called Islands Fashions, Schwartz Furniture store, a women's dress shop, a hairdresser, & a jewelry kiosk as well as a combo ladies wear/jewelry/handbags/ framed wall picture shop. Anchor stores are Walmart(small space), Dollarama(good size), & Sobey's(excellent but pricey). Many stores have left as well as the eating places. It's a shame but most now drive to Sydney to shop, yet the staff in all stores are warm & friendly & create a good atmosphere for shopping. I received some great deals at the Jewelry kiosk by a wonderful lady, who gave me a good discount since I purchased many items for family & friends.

There isnt a lot to this little mall, but is does have a few good anchor stores which are dollarama, Walmart and sobeys. So your basics are covered. There are also some gift shop, hair salon and jewelry kiosk. Bathrooms are clean. There is a new indoor mini putt which hosts birthday parties and such, so hopefully this will help bring other new businesses back to the mall.
