You will be able to see the opinions of real people like you who bought the products and services of West Edmonton Mall (Mall) in Alberta (Canada).
Now the business has a score of 4.4 over 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is quite positive, and it is founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may say that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Mall is included in the category of Shopping mall.
I recommend to visit West Edmonton Mall , City of Edmonton , Alberta - Canada Spectacular Mall , breathtaking, time well spent with the family, left at the end of the day with a lovely smile , for sure I will come back . Kids love it . Spectacular . Visited December 06 2021 Sad No Santa !!
Before covid I would have given west edmonton mall good reviews; However, now the mall is running at full capacity during covid. People are brushing up against eachother while walking through there. It's a sardine can. Social distancing? What's that? Forget it!
I like this mall. You can find every brand you name it there. Lots of free parking spots. Also the food court is very diverse including halal options. Barhrooms are clean and there is a clean private spot to ???? as well. Decorations are nice and kids can enjoy the playing areas.
Very beautiful and very big mall. But I am never trusting bathrooms cause many people come and do trouble. The custodian needs to check the washrooms more daily.
Same as i remember it. With covid though they are really relaxed about enforcing people having to wear masks. Many people walking around not wearing them or just wearing them as chin warmers
Great mall. Gotta check out 1st RND!
So much to do, so much to see. Something for the whole family. The food court has an incredible selection and Bourbon street is amazing. Throw in Galaxyland and the waterpark and you have an amazing adventure. If you are in Western Canada, this is an absolute must do. And don't forget the shopping...lol....enough stores to keep you busy for days!!
Visited on the Monday & Tuesday, had lot of fun, water park was great and barely any people, maybe 30 tops. Mall wasn't overly crowded at all. Perfect little getaway.
Such a lovely and lively mall, so much to do and see, love the ice rink, the enormous water park, in door amusement park, absolutely gorgeous, spent over 6 hours in the mall taking everything in, it was a day well spent, just make sure you have on very comfortable shoes. Enjoy, trust me you won't regret it. Happy Shopping.
From the outside, you'd think you're somewhere in Buffalo. From the inside, pretty cool. People in Edmonton are super nice so the vibe in the mall was really pleasant. Mall showing some age, however. The teppanyaki at the food court was good. The mall is very family friendly. There's also a little casino so it's degenerate friendly too.
Awesomely great mall with lots of store varieties, food & sports bar spots, casino & hotel, movie theaters and some indoor activities that you can’t miss all the fun, in your local Area in West Ed.
My concerns that the mall that I used to loved, is not a friendly environment anymore. Seen so much incident where they put out customers because they don't have on mask, not able to eat in the food court without having to Show your personal information if you are injected. This is so sad.
First time at the mall since BEFORE March of 2020. Very clean and not crowded. Felt comfortable considering size of the mall and health concerns. I stopped at a new snack spot and old fave before getting some caffeine for the ride home. All in all, a pleasant to a place I've been going to for years!
Great mall if you can find it thru all the smoke, wildfires burning in British Columbia affecting the air quality of Alberta. West Edmonton mall is the largest mall in North America and can take up to two days to see the entire mall. So many things to see and do while here so bring comfy walking shoes. Two main food courts but you can find food pretty much everywhere along your walk. There are your typical shops but there are also an ice skating rink, fantasy hotel, waterpark with 27 different slides and an indoor theme park that will keep you busy for hours. Little cardboard cut outs to pose in too. There is plenty of shaded/underground spots to park and the lot is huge. Spent most of my days in the galaxyland theme park with the kids.
Fantastic! That's a mall with everything you need to have a whole day with family including shopping, playing, dining and more. Adventure Golf was amuse and fun for any ages. Interior design is eye catching with fountains and rest areas. If you visit Edmonton, let a day for this mall.
Basicly everything is here. Good place to have your winter walks and shop, even just eye shopping. Multiple restrooms and enough seats for resting. Wheelchair accessible and transit across entrance 48.
Tourist trap, way too busy and overpriced. Security guards always harassing someone, power tripping. Too many one way travel zones. Wanted to shop at a store right beside the one I was in. Instead you have to follow the one way arrows and walk all the way around to get there. Awful place for shopping. I would rather shop at any other mall but here. The casino is nice though.
Best place to do all your shopping, it has almost all the brands and stores with everything going on sale for the holidays.
Love coming to this mall! So much to do
One huge place to visit. Probably lost few pounds just by walking around.
Everything your want to buy is there. Nothing better for swimming and playing. All staff in every store had a smile, even those store where I was just a lookie loo. Oh, big donuts to the knife store. They love their donuts. They gave their muffins to us shoppers.
Always fun. Was able to get some Christmas shopping done before the evening rush. Like parking at buy Buy baby for the free masks when you come in and easy quick access to the elevator for our stroller if we need it. There was figure skating practice today and they were beautiful. Loved to stop and watch. Got pretty much everything done too. I'm finding that as many smaller electronic stores as they have there isn't really anything like a best buy in since the Microsoft store left so I will need to go elsewhere for that category but everything else is easy to find.
It's a cool mall, albeit a little unorganized in areas. Some stores have 2 or 3 locations in the mall, which only added to my confusion at times. The extras (Waterpark, amusements, Ice skating etc) are cool. Not my thing personally, but great if you're into that stuff. If you're visiting Edmonton, you should check it out.
This mall is massive. The water park is incredible. Our entire family had a lot of fun in the water park. Worth the money. The mall itself is clean and high end. Lots of beautiful renovations. So much to do and see here.
We came from out of town and spent parts of 2 days here. We ate there, we played there and we shopped...built a bear or 3 as well. The place is clean and looks to be well maintained. This was my 4th visit and I haven't seen everything yet. I will be coming back,I love this place
WEM is just a massive one stop shop. You can pretty much get anything right here. Great entertainment for kids and adults. Tons and tons of places to eat, from food court to sit down restaurants on bourbon street. Often a very crowded place. Highly recommended visiting this mall. Tons of Parking spaces around.
you will never run out of things to do here.
Very busy but fun to watch the huddle and bustle of people. Many stores and restaurants too.
Surprisingly good deals for shopping. We bought from Carter's Oskosh, Shoe Company and other stores. Spent over an hour at the Rec room which was very fun and compared to other Rec room locations, this was less expensive (almost half credits than other places. Ofcourse most people visit for the Waterpark and Galaxyland. Not many options for kids less than 4 years in Galaxyland. Overall, this is much much better than any other mall in Calgary.
Great shopping and holiday experience
Overall very nice mall with pretty much every store you could want. 2 excellent and well look after and cleaned food courts. Awesome attractions like the water park and galaxy land. As well as lots of scenic stuff like the pirate ship and new casino. Would definitely recommend a visit even if it’s just to walk around. All the bathrooms are well kept and clean.
Whelp, it is big. How crazy is it to have a water world, ice rink and a galaxy land inaide a shopping mall. Unreal. The mall itself wasn’t that impressive and I didn’t find it that big nor with the variety of shops I would have expected. The beat part was the unexpected size of the entertainment areas. We were there a little late to take advantage of any of the entertainment bur maybe next time.
Awesome experience for both adults and children. There's so much fun you'll experience here. Good food, play areas and shopping areas.....the list is endless. Until you visit, you'll never be able to imagine it. The pictures don't even do justice to the amazing experience.
#jcdogpain this place is awesome. I don't wanna be a spoiler so you gotta try it yourself. And feel free to tell us your experience.????
Still really good in covid 19 conditions...would like to come again real soon
Something for everyone and lots of family fun to be had!
I like it better now than before covid when you couldnt walk around w/o being surrounded by a million people. Confused as to why the most expensive mall does not clear their entrances or clean their bathrooms tho.
Best mall in Canada. Has so many stores.
Came back to visit the West Edmonton mall - the biggest mall in Canada after 7 years. I loved the 1st visit much more than today's visit mainly because of the covid 19 restrictions. Many stores seem to have closed and/or operating on a restricted schedule. Hopefully when I visit again next, it will be a better visit
Biggest Mall in North America, and rightly placed at the coldest metropolitan in the country. It's cozy, it's beautiful, it's huge and it's busy. Great food and and super fun
It’s a huge mall so remember to remember where you parked your car. I’ve searched for hours before finding my car sometimes. The mall is nice and big and busy and has a lot of selections. Since it’s one of the only things to see in Edmonton, it is usually busy as well. Great selection and choice and is mostly very clean! Covid protocols are in place but some functions are currently on hold like the marine life experience etc. There is also an indoor water theme park all year round with plenty of roller coasters and water slides and a huge wave pool making it the biggest in the world I believe. Good location to chill and spend your day if you don’t wanna go too far from Edmonton!
Safety of their customers is their top priority. You need one full day to explore all the activities and shop around the mall. Must visit the waterpark. It is a good place to have fun with friends and family.
When I typically go, it is quite crowded and partially difficult to easily move around in. The COVID restrictions in the mall are not enforced very well, as I usually see many people not wearing masks. Food courts now require vaccination proof which is nice, however it feels this is the only protocol being adequately followed. As a local, I would only recommend going if you need to visit a specific store.
Tried their Waterpark and it was so much fun! since we reached late so we only got to pag 35$ per person because of their twilight pricing. The mall itself is beautiful and tons of food options
Very huge place! Amazing! Full of everything you need and full of everything you want. It takes more than a day to see it all and you can also lose yourself sometimes! There are Restaurants, Fast foods, Roller Coasters (inside), Luna Park, Videogame Machines, Cinema, Clothes Shops, Dollarama, TELUS, Acqua Park (inside), Ice Rink, Water Shows (seal), Minigolf, Casino, Liquor Store, Washrooms and more....
The amount of amenities is useful yet the layout is unorganized. If not to walk around for extensive period's of time to memorize the layout or to say if busy with limited time to do so. It becomes difficult to find most things there should be a better digital directory so as to accommodate adults looking to buy something rather then hang out in the mall. For example I would drive a mile to a store rather then walk around in the mall to find it.
Fun place to cherish all days of the week. Its like a club of some amazing stores. Theirs game zone food court shops cafes gocarting everything! Ice skatting too
Huge place! There is so much to do here that you could spend all day and not get bored. I loved riding the little animal carts around the mall. Galaxyland looked like a lot of fun, and the water park was amazing. They had a sea lion and penguin show that was really nice. The animals seemed to be treated well, which I count as an important rating criterion. It was neat to see the figure skaters practice on the ice rink. The mini golf course was a lot of fun. Plan on spending a whole day at WEM, and you won't be disappointed.
Always a great time in this mall. Also always busy. Great place for the entire family to go.
Nice and Cozy to hangout. lots of things to do. Waterpark, Pirate Ship, Ice Skating, Play Hockey, Movies, Casino, Galaxyland and many more
West Edmonton Mall is my favorite mall in Edmonton. It even has it's own theme song! Miss the dragon, but I appreciate the renovations to keep it fresh.
Wonderful to be back out among people and see so many smiling faces. All around the mall each store has their own policies on masks but no one was ever rude or pushy about them. Mall is as clean as ever and just ad busy as before! Still plenty to see!
It's always a great place to shop because they have all the good stores I like. The security is great, unlike other malls I feel like I'm looked at more so than others because I have a mohawk and ive changed its colors many times, but it's mostly red. So I stand out. But these mall security came to assist me once when I accidentally cut my finger. It wouldn't stop bleeding and the security came over once they saw my problem, they called the medic who was professional and I got a much needed tissue and got my cut cleaned and bandaged.
The mall it's amazing. It has a great variety of shops, from booths to high end stores. The entertainment and dinning options are varied. The Water Park is amazing for families. Overall very fun place to spend two to three days year-round. The only drawback is that maintenance needs to be improved. The mall may have to be renovated a bit; it looks like a nice place from the early 90s.
Went on a Saturday then again on a Wednesday. Super busy Saturday, a little quieter Wednesday. First time experiencing the great west edmonton mall. A place to get lost in. Visually appealing, spectacular, so many options. Was there twice in one week and haven't even seen half of it. Fair prices. Some super good deals too. Would recommend taking a whole week to enjoy most amenities in the mall. Dont forget your skates and bathing suit!!
The shop inside the west Edmonton mall is very similar as the other mall. What makes this mall special is the amount of activities you can do in here(go-kart, mini golf, theme park, waterpark, small aquarium, arcade games and so on.)
Visited WEM for my son's 12th birthday. Spent basically the entire 4 days at the mall. The wave pool was a little pricey but we stayed the whole day so it was worth it! Definitely recommend this Mall when visiting Edmonton
It used to be so much better. Really has lost its unique character. It's more commercialized and a lot blander. We used to have submarines, peacocks, giant marble tinker displays, precious artifacts displays, cool creepy mysterious kids play areas. Now, all we have is a general shopping area that you can ultimately get anywhere else. Bring back the small things cause they add up to make the big picture.... ????
Always a fun experience here whether it's shopping or taking my son for a day of fun at all their attractions :) only downside is it can be super crowded and hectic, but I guess that comes with being North America's largest mall!
Good place to visit even in covid times. It is a huge mall, do there is a big variety of stores. I went to Disney to get costumes for the kids. They had safety measures in place.
Horrendous. How can they close a full entrance at the busiest time of the year. absolutely awful construction management. Terrible.
Good mall just be ready to spend a couple of hours here if you’re planning on buying only a “few” things.
This mall has never failed to impress. I have been coming here for a few years now, since moving to Alberta, and it has always been clean, and welcoming. It has a good selection of food, and shopping options. The new Lego store addition looks great, but I am sad to see the Disney store closing shop. The attractions are back open, which is nice. The idea to out the theatre on the roof is a nice touch.
Its like Get In and Get Lost. Great experience. 5 hours and yet wasn't able to explore the whole place and missed out on a lot but had fun. The best part was the The Rec Room. Totally loved it
The stores in the mall really don’t appeal to the broader market. Over the years I’ve noticed retail stores that appeal to the broader market pull out because the rent is too high. The mall is old, not really updated and not functional to walk around. The stores I used to like shopping in moved to the outlet by the airport. Apart from all that, there is lots to do in the mall and lots to see if it’s your first time.
Love the mall, always have but this construction has made it almost impossible for pedestrians to access from the residential areas around the mall. All sidewalks are closed and your forced to walk with the traffic. Very dangerous.
I am not into shopping so I am loving this mall. If you are, this place will not disappoint you. It has basic brands to high end luxury brands all in one roof. For us, we started out the day playing mini golf and then escape room over at Ed’s bowling alley. We wrapped up the day and went to the water park (cheaper admission after 3pm) and we are not even half done with the entertainment side! The mall just has so much to offer and I can see this is like a hub for many people during the colder winter months.
I can't believe how this mall operates. They want your money but won't give you freedom to shop in peace. I can't see ever shopping there again.
Oh it was fun first visit To this mall! Whole family had a blast. Loved the indoor waterpark and lake. There are lots and lots of things that you can do here. Have I mentioned there is a skating ring here also indoor rides. Please if you visit Edmonton do visit west Edmonton mall!
A decent mall with lots of things to do.
It feels even bigger than the metrotown in greater Vancouver. So fun to walk around and check out all kinds of elements in this mall. Second time here, still a lot to explore. I wish Vancouver could have this too.
Although it is a giant mall and we're currently in the covid times, they don't really seem to have a limit of people. It's just as busy as ever. The stores however do really well when it comes to covid. Overall, it was okay.
Everything you may Need to enjoy by yourself, with family in a friendly and safe environment. Entertainment, dining, sports, shopping, wellness,gambling.,etc. I enjoy every minute I spend at this Amazing Mall every time I get to visit Edmonton. Is a Must to visit. Regards from Vancouver,Canada. PV.OSO
Nice mall. Too busy on weekends, but good during the week. The Renos are nice
Definitively a place to visit in Edmonton. This mall had a lot to give, just go prepared to pass some hours over there. This mall is so vibrant, It gives a fresh feeling of somewhere in Asia or Africa, I mean somewhere well clowded areas. I personally liked it. It is up to you to go, and then let us know your experience.
We're from Toronto and it was our first time coming here. I have never seen images of this mall before, but the amount of space and facilities located within this mall were outstanding. Can easily spend an entire day roaming around and enjoying the activities (bowling, mini golf, escape room, Waterpark, zipline, Go-Karting, etc.).
Visited this mall yesterday with my friends, it was all our first time going to this mall, which is one of North America’s largest! We were all doing a lot of research before visiting and seen it had a Casino, water park, skating rink, …
Lots of things to do.... Lots of places to shop at.... Lots of really good places to eat..... Only reason for 3 stars is that I find it's way more expensive to shop at WEM than it is to ship at say Kingsway mall
If you need a wheelchair, DO NOT RENT ONE HERE! There's a very expensive deposit ($300 when I went last year) for a broken chair. There are better, cheaper rental services and AADL can help you purchase mobility aids if you need them. …
Very Good for kids. Different in a way that it has Ice skating ring, Waterpark and amusement park inside of it. But overall nothing extraordinary.
What a fantastic mall! They practically have everything here. This mall is so stuffed with stores there are even some stores with multiple locations! Not only is it the biggest mall in Canada, but it also houses an ice rink, movie theatre, theme park and water park? And a beautiful pirate ship right in the centre of the mall! One of my favourite parts of this mall was finding out that they have the largest Lush store in North America! Very cool.
What can you day about this mall that most people already know? I like the addition of the Toyota dealership and that they're trying to ensure that Covid protocol is followed.
Absolutely awesome mall. You'd need a couple of days to see everything. There's tons of shopping, everything you can think of, shoes, jewellery, clothing, books and specialty shops. Also the fantastic attractions from the Pirate ship, Water Park, ice skating rink, go carts, and Galaxy land with tons of rides, like Merry-go-round and Rollercoaster. There's a Bourbon Street with lots of restaurants you can eat in at. It's a bit more upscale than the food courts but there's a few of those as well. There's a Hotel attached so if you want to make it a mini vacation, it's perfect. This is definitely a must see if you are in Edmonton!!
This was my first time back at the mall since 2020 and it didn't disappoint as usual always something to do with the kids. We had a blast at Galaxy Land , just figuring out the food court in phase 3 was confusing, never did figure it out unfortunately. Couldn't find the entrance to the designated eating area.
Very huge mall, first time visit here, easy to get lost ???????????? need map all the time???????? if you have some specific store want to go, then highly recommend you park your car nearby there, otherwise you will easy get lost if you are not good at navigation
One of the largest malls in North America. Ample covered and uncovered parking surrounding the mall. WEM houses Fantasyland Hotel, World Waterpark, Galaxyland, indoor skating rink, Cineplex theatre, Sea Lions Rock (sea lion show), casino and extensive list of popular and luxury brands and independent retailers. Luxury brands like Rolex, Birks, LV (opening soon this Summer 2019). There are several food courts and restaurants that offer pub food options and open late after mall hours. There are plenty of seating areas in the mall and escalators but elevators are hard to find and small so if you have strollers or wheelchairs, you have to travel far to find them.
This is quite big mall. There is a lot of things to enjoy for a family. Specially the swimming and Galaxy ride are very good. I recommend to set aside a full day if you are visiting for the first time.
It was amazing had alot of fun their was alot to see got to walk around for 4 hours and didn't get to see everything traffic sucks but west Ed mall is awesome and you need vaccination to get into alot of the main area like swimming go kart and galaxy land
This is a good fashionable well lit mall. This being said the restraunts there can almost always be expected to be noisy. This allong with the generally higher prices in the mall outlets results in a 4 not 5 star rating. Overall I like this mall for its activities and art galleries. Its a good place to meet up with friends for the day, however there are better places to go for evening dinner and better prices for shopping elsewhere.
When I was a child, West Edmonton Mall was a hotspot for Albertans. The mall, which also features rides, a skating rink, the Fantasy Land hotel, etc. is now a rundown version of its previous glory. It is antiquated, old-fashioned, ill-maintained, and simply out of touch. What was once the greatest mall in Canada (and arguably North America minus The Mall of America) is now lost in time. Quite disappointing to return after all the years (at least twenty five) to essentially see and experience the exact same mall I experienced as a child in the early 90s. Suffice it to say, this mall needs a major upgrade. There are everyday malls in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, etc. that feature much more contemporary designs, features, and stores. What once was, is no longer. It’s a shame really.
Looking good as always, hadn't been for a while so it was a a breath of fresh air to see the mall looking so beautifully decorated. Always a good place to take one's guests
Absolutely fantastic experience with the family! Couldn't visit most shops even over two days. Definitely need strong hands to help you carry your purchases around. Some store managers went the extra mile to let us leave our purchase in the stores and collect at the end of the day. Also met the Best Canadian ever at #WestEdmontonCoin&Stamp, who made our experience a very memorable one. Thank you #AdamLucy.
Haven't been there in years. While the out side needs some work inside remains as amazing as always
Great mall with lots to do, but the current one way system doesn't work great with the crowd sizes!
We love coming here, very open and people seem relaxed. We have noticed over the last few months the bathrooms have become dirty. They are only clean to the eye at a quick glance. The doors are not cleaned at all and soon they will be disgusting.
Very large mall. large selection of stores. Galaxy world is maintained during the weekdays so some rides are closed. Great for any kind of shopper.
Grew up around West Edmonton Mall. Jaded me to all other malls. Nice and big. Well spaced out. Lots of places to sit. Always adding new stores and exhibits and photo op places. Lots of money put into maintenance of the flower and plant boxes every season as well as the decorations. Parking is what it is but if you park far away you'll find a spot in 5 minutes usually. I love West Ed, still my favourite mall. It's just so convenient, everything small I would need is in one place with lots of competition and price ranges. They also have some beautifully renovated food courts that are always clean. Definitely the best mall I've ever been to by a long shot.
It is a nice place for family activities and shopping, but for someone coming from Asia the shopping mall would be somewhat towards an average side.
This is just a great place, loads of shopping of course, but there's also lots of activities to do with kids, or just as a couple for date night. From the sea cavern to the water park or galaxy land. Great displays and fun shops to explore. The only down side is that it's BUSY lol crowds and crowded parking lots. Other than that though, good times. Check it out.
Hands down the best Mall in Canada!!! So much to do and see....you need 2 days! And where else can you play mini golf in the mall.....?
I just love how crazy this mall is. Ice rink, Waterpark, theme park for kids, bumper cars, the list goes on! Big big mall, plenty of store to keep you busy for the day, and if you're not in the mood to shop they have so many different options you might not even be able to make up your mind. Plenty of parking upstairs and down. 5 stars definitely, clean, well lit, plenty of room to walk around people, great place to spend a dreary day!
Loved this place went on water slide couple rides but due to maintenance the coasters were closed but for safety I can’t complain clean and lots to see
One of the worlds largest malls! It has everything. From dining, to the water park, amusement park, all the shopping you could ever imagine & covered parking lots galore surrounding the mall. Your go-to place for entertainment & “shop ‘til you drop”! lol
Be prepared to spend the whole day at this mall (open to close)! LOTS of stores, restaurants, and activities. They have a huge indoor swimming pool. We didn't get in, however, lots of families and children seemed to be enjoying it. We did some shopping and tried to squeeze in as many activities as we can. We rented skates and went skating which was fun. We went go-carting which was a great experience! BOOK YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE for go-karting as they get sold out so fast. Booking the day before would be ideal. They have a food court which is very similar to a food court in any other mall. We found out later that they have restaurants within in the mall which we would've preferred.
First time going there and wow it was unbelievably big!! Loved that it offered a whole lot of stores but it was a pain for the walking (lol). But the interior design is really fun, nice and will definitely come back soon to try the waterpark and theme park!
I stayed at fantasy land hotel the room was basic and expensive for what we paid for. I went to the waterpark it was cool except for the rule where you have to gwt your mask from the locker to line up and get food.
Amazing space. So many stores and restaurant options. Crowded with entertainment and things to do while there.
Fantastic one stop centre for everything. It’s. Rendezvous for all the fun you and your family can think of. I could not explore all the games with my all day ticket. It’s a massive space…
Best mall in Canada. Everything in one place. Good place to go, specially during winter. You could shop, dine and do al lot of activities without going out of the mall. Best if you are also staying in their hotel... kinda pricey though.
We found one & only place for tourist in Edmonton. In fact, one day can be easily spent at this location. Water park: Yes, water park inside mall. Need at least half day so we skipped it due to time limitations. Sea lion show: Free show @ 2 & 4 PM. Everybody can enjoy this show surrounding in the mall, take yr spot before 10 min. Amusement park: It’s neither so big nor a small but rides are available for all age people. Our son enjoyed a lot. Ticket for all rides also can purchased on entrance or you can choose ride & pay individually. We choose separate. Golf area: It was a nice golf area in the middle of mall, where folks can enjoy playing golf, specially kids. Adults can also joined them. It seems bit fancy to attract, photos will be too good in that area. Attraction: A big ship was located in the centre of mall which is restaurant. Pirates ????☠️ of the Caribbean movie theme was made in the water. Ice Sketting is eye catching activity. Apart from the shopping, there are lots of things to do in this mall.
Amazingly astonishing and so many great shops to visit.. ton’s of restaurants and cafés to choose from. Beautiful architecture and safe place to visit.
Quiet day at the mall today being a weekday.Good place to walk for a bit of exercise and had a good lunch on a quiet Bourbon Street
Well, it's the mall of malls especially for Edmonton; formerly the world's largest mall and its definitely one heck of a place to visit. Tons to see, buy, eat, do, experience, etc. Growing up in this city and having gone to this mall throughout the years, I've seen it go through many changes. There used to be arcades, submarines, peacocks, cranes, dolphins, flamingos, eels, tropical fish, warm up with the fire breathing dragon etc. Probably due to animal protection, many of those animals are no longer there. Still, you can ride Rollercoasters, see penguins, go on waterslide after waterslide, golf, bowl, skate, golf, shoot guns, bungee jump (i think), play pool, watch movies, and of course eat and shop... the list really does go on. anytime a visitor comes to town, you can guarantee we end up at the mall. i still go when i want to buy things from stores that can only be found here and while I am at it, see a few others also.
Love the Waterpark and my wife loves the shopping ????
Most of the mall has lost its original charm due to renovations especially the casino and Bourbon Street. I hate covid as much as the next person but still wear my mask properly everywhere and wait 5 minutes to get my barcode scanned to eat in the food court, today I saw at least 3 dozen people not wearing a mask throughout the mall smirking and people jumping the gates to get into the food court and nobody even cares. Used to be a cool mall because the old casino was awesome and there was some neat stores especially the old Zellers, now it's all just clothing stores
This Mall is great for attractions, the amusement park is definitely really cool. The water park looks awesome wish I could've gone.
The Westmall is fine but seeing a sea lion locked alone in a tiny enclosure in the middle of the mall broke my heart. Release it, out of pity
As everyone knows it's a big mall. All shop space is full with pretty much anything you need.
Great mall to go shopping, and to the attractions if you want to play, and shop at the same time. Galaxyland, and the World Waterpark are great to visit for any age group. Keep the interior nice, clean, and modern. Always under constant cleaning. Building up on the clean, modern idea the outside does look pretty aged though. There hasn't been any renovation to keep it up to date. Even painting the outside would make it look more decent. A mall is supposed to look more warm, and welcoming if they want to attract more visitors in. But overall great mall to have fun at. Please fix these concerns in the future.
What's to say other than this Mall never gets old. Worth the visit just to see the LEGO store!
I don't normally rate malls, as a whole, but wow, this place was amazing. We spent q few hours there and I felt like we barely scratched the surface. The aquarium was smaller than I expected, but my kids loved seeing the big turtles and sharks, as well as petting a shark. The big ship was pretty cool, too, as well as the ice rink with people skating. We had just been to the Expo the previous day, so didn't go into Galaxyland to check out the rides and arcade, and didn't even see the water park in our wanderings, so we definitely have a reason to go back again the next time we're in Edmonton!
Great that they do not allow any shopping carts in the mall. That is a huge perk. Our kids love coming here. One stop shop plus entertainment and swimming. Lots of restrooms that are always being cleaned. Visit Cinnzeo-- best cinnamon buns ever.
Decent place to do your shopping. Unfortunately if you've been once you may as well have been a hundred times.
Nice stores and you can find anything in here. Some washrooms like the one beside entrance 48 are mostly dirty. I haven't seen a customer service stand close to the entrances and new tourists can get lost easily. Sometimes I ask security guards for directions to find places but sometimes I can't find someone for help.
Well worth the money. We bought a multi day pass and it's by far the most economical if you have a few days to spend and want to do everything. Galaxy land amusement park, sea lion water show, mini golf, shopping, waterpark etc. Something for everyone.
Excellent place to shop, lots of variety in stores so you could virtually find anything you wanted. Mall is kept very clean, lots of parking.
Loved this mall. Amazing experience for the kids. Electric rides, skating rink, amusement Park. Best place to be in the freezing called of Edmonton!
lots to do but very expensive. Not much stores with sales. Kids loved the waterpark!!
As I heard of it so many times, I was expecting it to be much more up to date and newer looking. The theme park rides are really for little kids needs some TLC. But glad to be here. Will speak on shops in a bit (which is my high point of being here).
Great mall with everything one could ever want or need. It truly is one of the best malls in the world and should never be missed....water parks, entertainment, ice rink, ship, seals and so much more.
Came from Ontario to the area and hats down this is the most beautiful mall I’ve seen in Canada. So many things to see and do! From the go carts and ice rink to shooting range and mini putt. Incredible!
The mall was very big but empty, the mall looked dated but had all the major stores you are looking for. I just don’t think it’s a good way to spend your days in Edmonton, if your looking for something to do. I would recommend the swimming park but they have limited hours so beware.
This is the Best Mall in Edmonton. There are so many things to do here. It's just not the Shopping. Of course the shopping is great with various shops and products to choose from . The Galaxy land and Water Park are so good. It's one of the largest indoor Water Parks. The main thing is all activities are under one roof with free parking. There is a beautiful theater inside. The ice skating rink is huge. The food court is huge. I believe there are 2 food courts .There is an area with only restaurants on both sides. There are many other places in between where you can purchase food, coffee, drinks, sweets etc. The WEM is well maintained and well secured too. It's a great place to visit with family, friends etc. There is plenty to explore , be entertained and shop in West Edmonton Mall.
This is the best to visit in Edmonton, in Feb 2021 I visited first time ever since the pandemic. It definitely feels a lot different, but every store is ensuring to follow safety measures when you walk into any store. There is path marking done to indicate direction, there is placement of sanitizer dispensing units, though most the activities remain closed like the gold area, water park, marine world and ship. Wearing of mask is essential.
Amazing West Edmonton Mall number one tourist attraction.you love this mall..NORTH AMERICA’S LARGEST MALL..lots store and services..they followed physical distancing. food court and washroom are clean. March 20121.due to pandemic some are temporarily close.Water park, ice skating rink, galaxy land, etc
If you want to get your steps in, and have a lot of options of places to go then West Edmonton Mall is a great place to be! Something for everyone, from small boutique stores to high end designer labels, with an apartment park, waterpark, mini golf, movie theatre and the Fantasy land hotel, there’s a lot to do! Many restaurants and fast food options. There’s the ice castle, Chinatown and Bourbon Street, although I do miss the old Bourbon Street I have to say. And the pirate ship! Starbucks by the chapters is less busy if you’re into that, and one of my favourite things is probably the huge Christmas tree set up in… little Italy? I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s at the end upstairs across from the hotel. It can definitely get busy on weekends and over Christmas, so if you don’t like crowds I recommend trying to go in off times. There is lots of parking but you might have to look in some of the upstairs lots or less used ones if it’s a particularly busy day.
Wow!!!! Even for someone like me, not a big fan of shopping, I did enjoy the mall too. So many attractions and all different shops. It truly is a gorgeous place to visit
What's not to like, the mall has everything! Shopping, food, Waterpark, Galaxy land, go karts, painting, the gym... and it doesn't stop there. If you're visiting, definitely stop in, sure things are pricey but everything is now!
From BC and came here for the week. Stayed at the Fantasy Land Hotel and the whole experience was fantastic with the wife and two little girls. Every day we were still finding new things to do, from watching the sea lion show, playing in Galaxy land, the rec center (a must check out is "The Void" - such an amazing experience in itself if you are into any kind of virtual reality) And just a great selection of stores to shop around overall. We also happened to be staying there during an emergency drill shut down - was really neat to experience and see how they would handle an emergency situation. Definitely will be back again, one week is not enough to see and do it all ????
This mall is so fun! Normally we go to the mall of America every year, but this year with the travel restrictions we didn't. We chose the west Edmonton mall. Such good things everywhere. There were so many stores that I hadn't heard of before. So fun, it's good to support our country's Malls, other wise we wouldn't have them!
It was gigantic. There was a hockey game. Inside. In July. If you are a mall person, this is the place for you. There's a casino, a watermark, and a train. The aisles are wide and felt spacious. There's not a lot of vacant space, and the stores are high quality and well staffed.
It’s good but their safety measures don’t make sense they make a barrier for the vaccinated that are eating and have the unvaccinated walking through a very narrow space at the food court. Violating safety protocols otherwise it’s good
Good place to spend a day. Lots of things to do including shopping, galaxy land, swimming pool, sea lion shows, movie theater and so on. Food court needs renovation. Tables and chairs are getting outdated and need good cleaning as well.
Great place. If u have kids they have galaxy land. Which is a great place to tire them after a long day.
Rather busy, but that is to be expected during boxing week. Lines are reasonable, and the food court is open for in person dining.
Huge! Something for everyone. My son loved it! We hit the waterpark, arcade, Galaxyland amusement park, and many other attractions.
It has very good attractions for photography and kids. Discounts on product are not much attractive
Typical mall going experience. Was not as large as expected. All attractions are currently closed including restaurants due to covid. The mall it self is open for shopping though
West Edmonton Mall has some of the best selection you can find. A huge number of stores, as well as many niche ones you cannot find anywhere else in the city, such a Build a Bear. They have mini golf, skating, and a large water park in the mall, as well as a full amusement park. The only downside is that it can get very crowded, especially near holiday, or during boxing day/black Friday sales.
I recommend coming on a Monday after a long weekend the mall was very quiet! Had a blast
Really fun location. Unfortunately we only had a few hours to spend here but I can see how you could easily spend a few days and still not see anything. We spent most of our time in Galaxy Land and it was so much fun! The roller coasters are a blast! The place is really clean and feels safe, despite its gnarly history. The art style of the rides is really cohesive across the park and really gives a solid sense of branding. Perfect place to take your kids on a day trip. I noticed they have a really incredible looking water park that we didn't get a chance to check out. Next time!
Over 800 stores, two hotels, lots of dining establishments, casino, waterpark, skating rink, lots of kid friendly venues, a must see if you're in Edmonton.
Big mall with everything you need including fun areas for the kids..galaxyland and the watermark with lots of eateries.
So much to see, so much to do. From skating rinks to Indoor wading/wave pool...mini golf, rides and an amusement park...dining and a theater featuring about 10 to 12 movies simultaneously. Food...what are you in the mood for? Clothes...what style and how much do you want to spoil yourself with. Chocolate? What kind and how much !! This is the mecca for shoppers of all ages and sizes. One day only forget that....one week....now your close. Believe it when you see it !
This place was so cool! They literally have everything in this mall. They have a food court, candy store, clothing stores, waterpark, mini theme park, and rooms for you to stay at. They also have a lot of cool art that add to the mall. Their art is 3d one of them is a big pirate ship on a ocean. When i was there I also watched the seals perform tricks. Such a great time!
Always nice to visit what was once the biggest mall in the world. Since covid hit the mall seemed not very busy but I have a lot of memories at the mall. Great mall all around
A huge indoor mall at Edmonton, must visit! Indoor swimming park, skating range in this mall. Spending whole day here with no challenge.
Five stars simply for the SAMSON NATIVE GALLERY. First time visiting the mall from Toronto, ON and so glad I came across this gift shop. A sanctuary within North America's largest mall. Staff members - Mia and Ben - were so polite, attentive and friendly. The merchandise here is beautiful, sentimental and truly a testament to the richness and purity of Indigenous culture and peoples.
Big Shopping Mall ! with a lot of things to do inside.
It was awesome. We didn't spent time for shopping but girls spent time in galaxy land inside the mall. It's amazing how many rides they accommodated in small space. Girls such a good time there.
Great place to find anything you are looking for plus moe. Skating ring, rides. The beach. Highly recommend it
This place is amazing! Every time you round a corner there is some huge attraction that is completely unexpected. You could, seriously plan an entire vacation in the mall. Wave pool, water slide park, zip lines, miniature golf, sea life shows, ice skating rink, and we didn't even scratch the surface. More eateries than you can count and, oh yeah, you can shop for anything you want there...... absolutely amazing place.
Great mall! Only thing bother me is walking a lot! Lots of options and deals, indoor theme park, water rides what not! Have enough parking and a lot of entrances!
As I always wish everyone was happy when you in West Edmonton mall. Still have a great food, great shopping ????, great service and a lot of fun. My family and I stay home for so long during pandemic ???? feeling like in the jails lol ???? So many on sale here good to pay and tried it on then buy online just more be careful clean and sanitized and keep distance.
I enjoy my time there shopping
Exceptionally well done shopping experience with something for everyone. Indoors is where we need to be during cold Edmonton winters!
Very good place to shop during winter time.
Lovely mall of course but it’s extremely packed and nobody can drive in the parking lots????
Great place to hang out, first time charmer place. Lot to do, huge food court. Lot of options to dine.
Great mall, great stores and attractions. The mall is quite large and has a little something for everyone from lower cost quality clothing to $1500 handbags to $80000 diamond rings. The food court has a great selection of food. Galaxyland is a fun place to enjoy time with friends and family. The water park is one of best I've ever been too with amazing slides for every age and an awesome wave pool. The water park also provided free soda and water from Coke freestyle machines while we were here and that was a nice bonus.
Large shopping mall with a hotel, water park, amusement rides, sea life cavern and loads of restaurants - all of this is indoors. Great collection of shops from very expensive to very economical. Oh, forgot about the ice palace hockey rink.
A mall for all. There is nothing missing from this mall. It’s all here. If you want to eat, sleep, shop, watch a movie, get a haircut, mini golf, go on a roller coaster, buy groceries, go for a walk, go ice skating, go on water slides, swim in a wave pool, ride a zip line, bungee jump. I know I have missed a whole bunch of more stuff. It’s one of the largest malls in the world. It has the largest indoor roller coaster in the world as part of fantasy land. You gotta see it to believe it.
Went on a shopping spreeee!!!!All the best shops in there!!And an indoor water park!!
It’s been a few years since I visited West Edmonton mall and what an enjoyable time it was. It takes quite a while to visit all levels of the mall as there is such more to see and do. There is a games area for kids and adults to have fun as well as a movie theatre to take in the latest movies. Add a food court to this as well and you have a packed day of shopping and not going hungry. One of the biggest malls in the world and one not to be missed.
Have you ever looked for a place that sells literally everything? As long as you’re happy to walk a 5km round trip to get it, this place will be for you. I’m not from Edmonton and went with a local who knew their way around. Lots of parking all around the outside. Plan ahead where you want to go if you are short on time or you’ll be walking 30 minutes to get to the other side of the mall.
Amazing mall! Who knew so many things can be in one mall. Really cool to come here with your family and explore everything this mall has to offer. I went swimming in the swimming pool, I felt kind of gross after seeing a band-aid float around and a kid having a nose bleed while he kept on swimming in the pool.
This place has everything. Literally spent 2 days here looking at everything and experiencing everything they have to offer
Biggest mall in North America! it's a must see! You can find anything you could possibly need here, there's a hockey rink, an amusement park, a water park, and many restaurants and stores to browse. Go check it out!
Have been here few times for short visits only. But this time I spend quite a time here with my kids. The mall is humongous, well planned, beautifully decorated and well managed. Easy to find stores and entertainment facilities. Lots of …
hi do you have wifi at west edmonton mall
West Edmonton mall is a great place with everything you need I could spend a whole trip in this mall and do so much. I wish every cold winter city had a indoor water and amusement parks
Mall and something more. Lot of shopping options and places for families to spend some time while someone shops. Beautiful design, as well.
Must visit place in Edmonton. Biggest mall in north America and the 6th largest mall in the world. More than 800 shops with all the famous brands in the world. Amazing water park 54 cad per person.
Always enjoy going to this mall with my children lots of interesting stuff to enjoy ????????
Pretty Good Mall but it is way too Hyped Up.Stores are closing and opening everywhere. The only good thing to do is galaxy land wich is going not too well with Covid also the World Water Park is fun when its not that busy. But other than that the mall is pretty good.
Great mall to enjoy for a few days with family and friends. But the wifi wasn't great, it also lacked the amount of screens displayed across the mall for directions on where to go. Other than that, there are plenty of activities within the mall, highly recommend.
Haven't been a fan of malls since I graduated high school but this one was super fun and I'd definitely return for all the activities we just couldn't fit into a weekend! Oh, and it has all the cool shops, I am sure - this place is massive!!!
Really big mall with many facilities and shops. There is also a super big artificial sea waves. There are several food courts and other restaurant. You can also find Chinese Market and one dollar shop. Wifi is everywhere. In the good signal place, the speed can reach 100 Mbps. only 4 pokemon gym can be accessed. For the gym on the boundary, don't really know how to reach it. There is also ice skating court, lots of amusement park facility like pirate boats.
I consider this to be Edmonton's premiere shopping destination. It's got everything you need, and a bunch of stuff you don't need, but do want. If given the choice of any mall in and around the city, this will always be my first choice.
Huge mall with lots of shopping and endless things to do. Mini-golf, bowling, go-kart, amusement park, indoor waterpark, comedy club...everything you can think of.
We had a layover in Edmonton and this was the only place that was recommended by the locals. It's a great mall to pass by your time. Here you can go indoor swimming, skating, shops, dine in, observe seal, or take some photos by the ship area. I really like how keep the skating arena all year round. However, the pool was extremely crowded.
Very large mall with every store you can think of in here and so many things to do including a skating rink.
Fantastic mall full of all manner of things and lots to do. However the attractions are quite expensive and even on a weekday galaxy land absolutely wasn’t worth the money as we spent over an hour in line for a single ride and others were even longer
Lots of options to pick from. Some stores priced a little higher then smaller malls it seems like. Nice to even just walk around in there.
Love this mall, it has everything but it is so big you need a full day just to walk around it. Lots of entertainment for kids of all ages from a waterpark to the casino.
Very nice mall... is massive! So I suggest to wear something very comfortable and get ready to walk and walk. You will find anything you want and have a great time.
Large mall with lots to do! Every store that you would want to shop at can be found here! However, the prices for some of the activities are quite expensive and the mall’s decorations/aesthetic is quite dated.
This mall used to be like.. My absolute favourite place to go... Now all the actually fun stores are being forced to close down in favour of boring clothing and fashion stores. It gets more and more bland every time we go visit. Even the usual attractions like the waterpark or ice rink are left in less than favourable shape due to these stores. Not only that, the rent increases far too much to even consider opening a store there. Where does all this money go? And why are they closing down the actually enjoyable stores.
Amazing mall. This is a great mall to spend the entire day. From shopping to recreation and great options for food. This mall has it all. If you have family, kids and want to go indoor to spend a day. This is one of the place to be. They have a waterpark, wave pool, seal show, go karting and ice skating rink.
Truly the biggest mall in North America, lots of variety for play, shopping and eating all under one roof. Amusement centres, a large water park, mini golf, bowling... Movies... The list of entertainment options goes on and on. Two large food courts provide a plethora of mouthwatering international cuisine and tasty treats. High end shopping options share with a variety of shops for all price points and taste.
We had a great time at the Waterpark , the slides and waves were alot of fun . Only draw back was the price is very expensive and water was pretty cold.
Love this place! But it is pretty easy to get lost hahaha
Great mall, nice place for shopping, eating, hanging around and more
Enjoy the mall but needs more places to sit. Lots more.
It’s an amazing mall, contains almost all elements. You will definitely have fun there.
This location has a lot for kids to do. We enjoyed a Saturday of Shopping. We especially enjoyed the mall attractions. Always something to do and see. We especially love the Mall Mascots! Great job! Would like to see more centre mall attractions for kids. Such as clowns with balloons, a petting zoo.
The kids ice hockey game near gate 48 is very exciting. They were always playing everytime I visited.
Such a fun experience with my daughter!!! Visited a old friend shopped till we dropped! Was awesome service at dynamite by Tammy (wig) hahah how we knew each other. Thx for the time Edmonton
It's a Great place to go spend a entire day. So much to do and see.
I had a horrible day and horrible experience this evening! It's been 4 ish hours and I am still shaking and crying and in non stop tears . I have a disability so I apologize if this hard to understand I went to get my hair done in the mall today because it's been so long since I treated myself. I went to perfect cuts I hope you can take sometime to read the reviews most people had disturbing experiences here and they need to be accountable!! I really wanna save someone one from going into this place . I have light hair and wanted to go lighter I asked for dirty blonde hair and was told by the owner and the hair dresser they can do that no problem they seemed really friendly at first they and I was excited! My hair turned dark please remember I just spent 400 lighting my hair to remove the dark out a couple months ago it's a process finally my hair was healthier that meant I can go lighter! So today was that day. The lady went to the back started mixing the product that she is about to Start and the owner comes out and add some dye to it I can here them talking in there language but I did say much they are the artists not me . The girl starts applying the color and than said we need to wash it in 5 minutes I said you can't dye hair blonde and just wash it out it needs to sit ! The reason why she wanted to wash it out was because they added dark into it I didn't clue into that. Than they wash it and I said my hair is black no where near blonde she said blonde hair takes days before it shows I said no that isn't true . Than I said listen I will pay for this service but I need you to fix it the lady says dark hair suits you though at point I'm pretty sad and upset so I say if you want me to pay you need to fix this I can even come back tomorrow she says no I am not fixing it you need to pay I said I'm so unhappy with it she calls the owner over and the owner is beyond rude and talking to me so cruel . I said I will be back I'd like to go to coustomer service or security so they can help us with a solution the owner is raising her voice and now getting aggressive I am terrified she's now yelling security call security I tried walking out and she put her hands on me and starts yelling and won't let me leave the store I call boyfriend and the cops in tears cops get there fast I am shaking and anxious and scared . Your security guards are the best eathier that are very un easy to talk to I was told by your security that I have to pay . I would have lots to pay the girl who did my hair but she really messed it up also she cut one side and other isn't cut probably. So I'm feeling really down about myself along with the unkind behavior today. The cops said I was free to leave and were understandable . No one should be treated like this and I hope you guys look at the reviews and ask this owner to find a new mall or place to rent from. This is so far from okay . Thank you for taking the time to read this .
Beautiful mall, will definitely come back when Covid is over.
If you're new in Edmonton must visit west Edmonton Mall once. You'll get thrilled ☺️
Really interesting but it's so easy to get lost lol. Make sure you have the map on your phone or find the digital maps around the mall :)
It is more quiet than before. Some renovation is going on especially at the parking area. This is one of the major attentions in Edmonton and you cannot miss it. The restaurant street of the Mall has different kinds of food of your choice. The prices of most restaurants are reasonable.
I've wanted to come here since I was a kid! WEM does not disappoint. It is absolutely MASSIVE and took 3.5 hours to explore every corner of it. There's a ton of shops, but the best part about the mall is the attractions. Theres a massive waterpark and wave pool, mini golf, a huge amusement park, arcades, 2 theatres, gaming rooms, spas, a skating rink, a restaurant alley, a couple hotels and fine dining establishments and even a pirate ship/sea lion show and aquarium! The mall is modern and spacious with tons of live plant arrangements, interesting statues and plenty of photo opportunities. There are several food courts as well. There are 2 floors and 60 different exits as well as a huge parkade. It can get really crowded at peak times but it's still great to visit, especially with families. A definite must-see for tourists!
What a crazy place to go to but always fun
Definitely called the 'world's greatest mall' for a reason! Your one stop shop to do anything your heart desires. Definitely check it out if visiting Edmonton!
Pretty cool place super big . I think I expected it to be bigger because of all the hype but it’s huge no doubt . The pool is awesome had a great time there probably the only thing in Edmonton worth any time lol
This is the place that you would always want to go.,shopping, swimming, rides and watching event..for whole family
The best landmark in Edmonton!! It is so huge and ofcourse it is the largest mall in the entire north america. The thing i like about this mall is that there is always something interesting happening which will grab your attention. I love watching the seal dance near that huge ship. I became a fan of ice hockey watching the kids ice hockey tournaments in the ice palace. I love the ride in the indoor roller coaster which brings back the energy and excitement in you. I could keep on explaining about this place, it is absolutely gorgeous. Anyways, we are lucky to have west edmonton mall in our neighborhood!!
Great place to go and spend your whole day and money. All brands are here. From gucci to holister to American Eagle. Two food courts. Mini golf course and galaxy land for kids is amazing. This mall has biggest indoor waterpark and a indoor marine life display. Must visit if you are in Edmonton for few days. Traffic here is ok but entry to mall is all over. Parking is huge.
Best mall I have been in Canada. Lots of activities for the whole family. One day is not enough to explore and enjoy everything
One of if not the largest mall in the world. Lots of variety in stores. Can easily spend days shopping in this mall.
Super fun for all ages! Lots to see and many stores to shop!!
We had a ladies getaway. I haven't been back here for a very long time & West Edmonton Mall never lost it's beauty .Lots of upgrades it's a place where you can hangout with friends & families
Huge mall as we all know.. tons to do.. I was surprised that Galaxyland was partially closed but the waterpark was open ??? seems weird in covid times. The mall is very nicely decorated for Christmas and lots of directional arrows everywhere... very busy mall. but lots of selection. The odd part is that for such a huge mall, they have a very small food court with not many options. Even mcd's is hiding in plain sight as you walk in but you can't see it when in the seating area.
one of the best malls i visited in Canada of course nothing beats its variety of fun, excitement, and shopping experience being offered to shoppers and tourists. two special attractions here are The indoor beach which is so amazing and the huge ship inside the mall.
Truly a legendary attraction. Whether I was a toddler being carried through Galaxy Land by my mom, or an adult drunkenly stumbling through Bourbon Street, I have always been in awe of this place. The possibilities of what you'll find and experience here is truly endless, and even as a local, just about every visit I take here has been memorable in one way or another.
I always like this mall. Tons of stores. Good place to shop.
This mall has tons of stores. This mall is also busy with lines at some stores. One stop shop. Please note that this mall is super hot and suggest leaving your jackets in the car as it can make your shopping better. WEM turn down the heat!
We spent an entire day here at the amusement park. For an indoor park, I was very impressed. There were rides large enough to get some speed. The largest roller coaster has multiple tracks. The arcade was pretty good too. There was a large selection of games for kids and adults.
Considerably large mall with loads of choices to shop from and massive range of budgets possible. Great environment, however usually very busy regardless of the day. Come with a list or you'll get drawn into everything you don't need ????
It’s a great small and the mini golf is so much fun. I went with my family and spent Sunday there, it was such a delight. People are kind, environment is vibrant and its a safe place for children too.
What else can you say. It is not perfect but definitely better than a lot of malls across the world. Lots of stores to shop around. The place is always clean. And was very quick to adjust with their health guidelines when COVID started.
if you wanna go there for black Friday or boxing day sale... you'd be tired waiting on the line before you could enter the store because they limit numbers of people in the store. Try online shopping instead. Most stores have the same deals online or in store. As for the mall, yes its huge and complete.
I respect the size and accommodations, but it's hard to find anything. I wish there was more specialty stores instead of the main hallway filling up with luxury stores that I can't afford. The lineup at the food courts were disorganized and tedious.
Over all a great built mall for variety of activities and shopping. Just wish the mall was stricter on the island shops. Harassing people for business. Heard a worker say the man needed facial cream, and he said "I don't think so". She carried on saying how bad his face was, embarrassing him infront of others. Lots of those at that mall.
Too many people, but I don't like crowds. It is however the best place for almost every sort of shop in one place.
My Salesman Mahesh Rajan was great to deal with. Patient with us as we tried out different cars. Super nice guy. Manager Altaf, along with Myron,Brynn and all the staff that made things easy for us. Warm and welcoming.Thank you Mayfield Toyota for a great car buying experience.
The aesthetic of the mall was pretty good. Everything was clean and organized. Visited scotia theatre Edmonton as well. Though the food prices were a bit high but still it was a fun experience overall
So much to see and do. Spent 2 days. One in the Waterpark. One shopping. Great mall. 5 stars all the way.
WEM is a fabulous spot. Not only in terms of shopping but every aspect of all other things like entertainment, food etc. That too on a cold winter day, once you manage to get in here - you can really spend your time nicely doing whatever you want to do. Never would realise the hours you spent here as it flies. Only hassle is finding a place to park your car but if you are patient & with little bit of planning can do. Food court has enormous cuisine selection which is a good option. Very well maintained. I have been coming here for 15 years now & still never bored of it
It is so wild to be at a mall again. It's been a few years since I've ventured out to such a place. It's a lot. All the lights and sounds and people. Especially all the consumerism. While I'm glad to have WEM as a one stop shopping destination it'll be able before I can muster up the nerve (or the need) to head there again.
Go to West Edmonton mall on a weekday, at off hours. Around Christmas the parking lots are crazy and it's difficult to find a spot. The mall is clean and well-kept up and there are lots of stores to shop at and things to do. The restaurants are good and there is enough variety for everyone. I haven't been to the water park in years but I do remember it being a lot of fun too.
bought a year pass with a monthly credit card charge. 2 months later tells me i cant go swimming unless i join the worldwide drug trials or forced with some useless and costly medical test. which wasnt part of the deal when i bought it. 2 months later and alot of unhelped calls and unanswered calls im still being charged monthly for a pass i cant use. disputing their charge with my credit card company for their fraud. you ppl have become the lowest form of society.
I think the ice rink and hosting of children's hockey games is a genius idea! Wish my local mall had that. Massive place you could spend the entire day at.
The prices of everything in the mall is outrageous. It was a fun once per year experience that my kids love for the World Waterpark and Galaxyland amusement park. But the prices are becoming out of control, if they continue going up our family trips will be deleting Edmonton and the mall.
Always something new and exciting to see and do! A must see for anyone!
This shopping centre is simply amazing. Aside from the fact it’s the largest in North America and offers the same shops as many other malls, it offers so much more. A massive indoor water park, shooting range, gym and a massive indoor amusement park to name just a few!
It was a fun day at the galaxy land. My kids were so exhausted from having so much fun. I never thought a day will come when the kids will say they are tired from playing. We had so much fun. Next is toppling a day at Waterpark
It was nice walking a bit around the different stores. Everybody wearing masks and access to restaurants is clean, with a waitining line of about 20-25 minutes
What can I say? It’s a big mall. I’m not a big mall fan, but as far as malls go, it’s got pretty much anything you want. I try to stay away from malls, as am not a big shopper, but had to go to return something. It’s been a long time since I have been there. The Christmas decorations were beautiful!
The most complete mall in the world. It’s loaded with people who aren’t wearing a mask since the rules are not enforced there so be careful.
Fantastic waterpark! only thing I wish were a little more clear is better descriptions for which direction and stairs to take for which slide...got quite a workout getting turned around to make it to the appropriate slides.
Name anything. You have it here. The place to go. I have been doing it for close to two decades. Lot of shopping options, nice food courts, ice skating, water parks etc etc. Especially during winter, the place where you don’t miss your walking. Be it for adults, kids, families there is something for every one. A must go place
Best experience always very crowded this time because it was a stat
Staff at fantasyland Hotel are awesome. Was a bit disappointed as the biggest Rollercoaster in Galaxyland was not working but we still had fun anyways. The Waterpark was great and the fact that we can do a lot of our shopping from food, clothes etc all in one Mall is pretty amazing
OMG we loved this mall!! The Wave Pool was our favorite!! We also did a lot of shopping!! We are definitely gonna do this again! We were very surprised at the deals the stores offered! And you can roam the mall at all hours!
A wonderful place to bring the family winter or summer.. I had an amazing Christmas holiday with the family its a must go ....
Biggest mall in Canada, this mall was the first mall I've ever went to that had an amusement park, a wave park, and a place where you can win big money cars. The pirate ship was huge as well as the bridge. They really thought of everything and did a great job cleaning it as well as maintaining the building. One shop I would recommend going is the Antique Photo Parlor which is just across Candy Candy
Super big shopping mall!!! you could find many things you like over there
Visited after a long time. Great to see so many people. Lineup all over places. Very busy place protocols are in place..
If your in the area make sure to stop by. One stop place for anything you may want to do: shop eat play skate swim
Went only to a food court to meet my son for brunch. Good selection of fast food choices. They used a wristband system to allow seating for vaccinated customers-worked well.
This mall has literally everything. It's a mall/amusement park/water park/skating rink/arcade/you name it.
Crowded. Noisy. Dirty. Too many people not wearing their masks in common areas when they could. Too many escalators out of service. Product availability for many things you could only get at WEM is beginning to suffer now. Parking lot is cramped and in disrepair, as is much of the mall itself. Avoid.
This mall was huge! I really love this location and alot of good pastries and food options. Even a good location to take a walk.. I recommend trying it
Very busy on boxing day but was awesome trip with the family can't wait to go again ????
Nice place to hang out with family I love the Waterpark. I'll be back soon
Great shopping and holiday experience
Security guards did not respect my medical exemption and wanted photo ID from my child who is a minor. Mall is overpriced anyways... Kingsway mall is way better!
A great place for entertainment and shopping, if you want to spend a wonderful time with your family, this is a suitable place that deserves five stars
It was extremely busy! Like before the pandemic, some of my group ended up leaving as it was too much. We were quick in getting what we needed. The staff in Sports Check and H&M were friendly and helpful. A little overwhelmed themselves but a smile and kind word goes along way.
4 star because of Covid. Beautiful here
Best mall to hang with friends and family all type of fun games all kinds of shops for shopping and it's also good for tourists attration the energy here is incredible.
Visited the mall during a work trip and it was amazing... ice rink... water park... amusement park... petting zoo... and much more tucked into this giant mall.... if your passing through Edmonton is highly recommend stopping here .... this mall has absolutely everything imaginable
This mall has been one of my favourite places since the 90's. Galaxy Land is the best! I waited many years to be tall enough to ride the mind bender roller coaster. WHICH IS AMAZING!!! Many other rides as well! Plus climbing walls, fun house, and haunted house! The Virtual Reality egg shaped chairs are pretty awesome as well! I haven't been in the water park yet but the slides look soooooo cool!!! Plus it has a bar for the adults ???? They have a MASSIVE store selection for every age! And the decor is above and beyond. Plus Fantasyland hotel has themed rooms, which are extremely awesome! Over all this is, and always will be my number one top mall of all time!!
A big mall is nice and all but you can easily get confused where you are and there are multiples of the same store on the mall! I wish the parking lot didn't have that many potholes. …
I wish we had something similar in Vancouver! So much fun for kids and at the same time a huge variety of popular designer brands stores in one place. You need couple days to enjoy fully of it!
So many retail outlets!???? That's expected when you shop at one of the largest malls in North America. You find everything for everyone in the family, and it's so hard to say no. Lots of attractions: skating, a wave pool, an amusement park, …
There is a reason why people come from far and wide and always ensure they make the time to visit here. If you are not a local, go to WEM and just explore, don't even make plans just show up and park and use a directory or walk around. There is too much to do in a day there so have fun filling up! If you are the planning type, there's a lot of attractions, from mini golf to go karting to roller-coasters to a waterpark, gun range, movies, etc. Plenty of options for food, shopping, anything really. It is likely to be packed whenever you go so enjoy seeing soo many people in one place!
This mall is huge and alot better than MOA. I wish they had more local business owners as oppose to cooperate businesses. It's extremely important to support locals.
I love this place! Best mall in the world! Everything and anything you want to buy or do you can do here! Water park is clean and fun! Great selection of stores, tons to do! Great food courts, love the ice rink with skate rental! Always a must visit while in Edmonton
For being such a big mall the kiosk stand are not super pushy. The bathroom were decently cleaned and it a great one stop shop for black Friday and Christmas shopping.
beautiful mall And so much fun ONLY if you are open to try the activities out Other wise, it is a walk as in any other any mall
Absolutely loved it in fantasy land! Definitely worth your money! Workers are amazing
My favourite mall in the City. I've been here more times that I count and it is a well run mall. Mall is well looked after and is clean. Lots of parking available. The mall likes to put on some really great promotions through Guest Services every so often which are some of the best promotions out of all of the malls in the City.
Such a enjoyable experience! The waterpark is so much fun there are so many thrilling rides for everyone. The wave pool is awesome! I love how they have multiple free pop refill station all around, quite the bonus. There are so many stores to shop which is great for Christmas shopping or just for fun. Also the amusement park is loads of fun as well. There are quite a few rollercoasters and rides for all ages. I miss this place, I loved staying in the hotel and watching movies at night with my family too! Worth every penny!
The mall where the sun don't shine and the rain doesn't fall,it's a place to spend the whole day shop relax and play if covid permits. Their are alot of store to visit be sure to read reviews cause a block in either direction it could be 10 to 30% cheaper.from Bubba Gump to food court eats is variety for all be sure to see all and enjoy your treasure hunt!
Still the biggest mall I've ever been to. Lots of things to do from shopping, dining, entertainment (theatres and dinner theatre), sports (skating, swimming, mini golf), amusement park (rides & games). Overall just a ton of stuff do. Checkout their website for a full list of all the activities.
It’s a good mall with lots of things to do and enjoy with family and friends I loved water park and shooting range
All in one place???? In one word surreal
I stopped in Edmonton for just one night. We decided to go to West Edmonton Mall because no other attractions were open. Its a beautiful mall. Amazed to see so many activities inside the mall, wish they were open after 5pm. Stores have good collection. There is a small area of very good restaurants, its separate from food court. If u have only one evening in Edmonton, it will be good place to spend it.
Drive - bought my daughter and I tickets on Tuesday. Was told to be back for 2 which is what the ticket time said. When we should up at 1:54 we were told we were late and that they were booked up for the rest of the day. So they would give us a refund, shocker that night when I checked they just charged us again. I called and left a voicemail cause no one answered that night, then 2x the next day and emailed. I finally got ahold of someone Thursday and he said he would process it. Sunday I followed up when I still hadn’t received anything or call back even that I should just stop back on my way through town to get it in person. Worst customer service ever, you are just a number and they truly don’t care about you or your safety
Nice for all ages who loves to play. Amazing place
So chaotic!!! Spent nine hours there and didn't even see a quarter of it!! So much to do, so much to see, not enough time. You have to pay for everything!!! Everything costs money. Overall, great experience, just so much going on and make sure to wear good shoes!!
Always busy it seems. Good place to go to get some steps when it's -40c
Our kids loved this place. They ask us every year to take them back. As soon as covid over we have to take them. Im kinda looking forward to it!!
Pretty cool place, but super crowded.
Well organized customers traffic, great choice of entertainment and shopping. Amazing electric cart racing. The only poor experience is overcrowded Waterpark with HUGE lines to each end every slide with half if things not working.
It was good. Very impressed with the commitment to public health and safety here. They had screening stations at the food court areas for dine in eaters. All the restaurants were looking for proof of vaccination and many of the stores were enforcing maximum numbers of people inside. Well done!
What a great mall. From the outside looks pretty blah. But it was clean, good variety of stores. When I was there week of NYE 17/18 the ice rink was closed and there were cars on it. But the wave pool, Santa Maria, and seals were in full swing. My host said there also an Amusement park but we didn't see it. We also walked the majority of the mall but not all of it. It was just amazing
Great mall for a day trip. It has plenty of parking, shopping, ice rink, waterpark, theme park, restaurants, hotel, etc. It basically has everything including a pirate ship. It gets super busy around the holidays though.
West Edmonton Mall is one of the biggest malls in the world. It was actually my first time after five months of arriving here in Canada to go here even if I can literally bike this place for less than thirty minutes or drive about ten minutes or so. Because of COVID thing I stopped myself. I am in awe of how big this Mall, really. It has a water park inside ( which is still yet to open from the public due to the pandemic ) a pirate Caribbean ship or whatever you call that huge ancient boat right there, like how did they do that? It may seem small in the photo but it is actually big. It just unfortunate that it's close temporarily it might have been a great place to sit down to one of those wooden tables. The water is clean, I wanted to jump really. It reminds me of my tropical country where turquoise water is everywhere. The skating rink is also not open for now. The hotel are connected but we didn't go there so as the cinema and galaxy land since they're temporarily shut down. If you want to go to WEM.. Prepare your mask and follow the marks on the floor for social distancing procedure.
So many things to do and see that you just can't soak it up in a day in this massive mall. If you are visiting stay for a good weekend for 3-4 days and I highly recommend the Fantasy Land Hotel. Many decorative displays for the holiday season and the themed areas of the mall was a great time exploring. The indoor amusement park and glow-in-the-dark golf course and watching the people and professional figure skater's practicing on skating rink..just to name a few..
Look past the glitz and the crowds and you have a collection of small businesses many of them franchises and a few locally owned ones too with staff that are willing to serve. All in all it makes for an entertaining shopping experience where you can find a great selection of items.
Great mall. Has everything you would ever need at a mall plus so much more. Definitely have to schedule your visits to certain times and days because this place can be a wild zoo on Saturdays and holidays
Biggest mall I've been to. Lots to see & do. I appreciate the fact that the big screens with directions to all the stores are available at convenient locations throughout the facility
It was a great time at West Edmonton Mall, you can make it a whole day adventure. It's so much to see and do for the whole family. From underground waves beach pool, amusement park, skating rink and so much …
Come on now…. Lego Lamborghini and fresh pizza???? The kids had a total blast today. Lots of shopping for back to school for us. Mall was busy, but flow of traffic was decent. For the most part people kind of followed the arrows and distanced them selves. Felt safe and everyone was quite happy at all the shops. It was nice seeing all the smiles.
Nice mall, so sorry I didn't take lots of pictures of the beach, too many people clusters. A place to burn enough fat just by walking around alone talk more of the fun and activities put in place to totally exhaust you, lol. Try and see, you will Love it!
Largest Mall in South America It is !! Over 800 shops and Great Stuff , Things to do ! Its got for the whole Family !! I Love the Ship !
Lived in Edmonton for 20 years and only came here 10x. Its a great mall to kill a day and to entertain out of town guests. Great store selection but prices tend to be slightly higher than stores outside the WEM super dome. If you have never been then you need to go.
Always a fun time!!there's always something to do here and never a dull moment ????????????
Nice indoor family place in the winter, wave pool, Galaxy land, and couple other attractions. Super busy though.
It's a mall. It's sometimes the only thing that puts us on th me map with travelers/tourists. Busy on weekends or after the schools let out. We have Hudson's Bay, winners, chapters and Sunrise records (2 floors.) It has pretty much what you expect to find in a mall with 800+ stores. Massive Waterpark complete with slides and wave pool, huge indoor amusement park, mini golf, shooting and axe throwing ranges. It has a pretty big theatre too.
Lots of fun! It's too bad that they close down so many rides all at once for maintenance. It would make better sense to shut down one ride at a time, get it fixed quicker and then get it back up and running and move to the next ride. The bonus is that it was actually affordable to go. $30 should be the regular price for all rides. It would be worth the trip to come more often at that price
wow, so grateful to get the opportunity and visit this place
Amazing experience. Never seen a mall like that before. Clean and very out of the ordinary mall
It was really cool when we went 24 years ago.
Massive mall, great maps and directions, decently well cleaned and maintained, but not perfect at all. Tons and tons of stores, and things to do. Awesome place to go if you want to burn a day or two... or even three. Fun for the whole family.
I heard this is the biggest mall in the country so we checked it out while we're in the area. Boy, I wish we had more time! We were able to do GoKart, but there's a whole lot more you can do. Definitely a must visit, especially the water park!! Oh I'd go back for that one.
Tons of great experiences there. Enjoyed the Lego Store
World's 5th largest and North America's largest. Great shopping and entertainment and an escape from harsh weather too
One of the biggest mall in Canada. But mall layout was very inconvenient to walk. And so few washroom available compare to the size of shopping mall.
Giant mall! bring your walking shoes!! Had an amazing time but didn't get the chance to do any of the parks inside.
I haven't been to the west Edmonton mall in almost 10 years.. and to be honest .. it brings me back to when I was younger.. not alot has changed. But it's still an awesome place to be. Lots to do still.. and new shops just keep popping up and events keep on happenin. Keep it up. Best mall ever
Tons of places, really just came because we are not from here. It was very overwhelming buy very easy to spend a day here! Seems like most of it is outdated but I'm sure that there is a lot of upkeep for a mall that big! Feel extremely bad for the sea lions as they have such a small place to stay. Very safe to see but lots of other amenities that are pretty cool!
