Full of slow walkers who can't walk in a straight line or stick to one side. If you're in a wheelchair, crutches, or impaired in any way, try to avoid the busy hours. Though, it's nice to see the arcade coming back with new machines.

Haven't been here in years and it has been completely remodeled!!! It is now a very beautiful mall! Super store selection and one of the nicest food courts I've ever seen!! Great place to people watch! Cushioned seats staggered throughout for older bones to rest while others spend their money! Can't wait to go again!

I’m giving two stars for the pretzel shop because of the branch itself not the franchise The staff is depressing though it’s a new location! No motivation what so ever to make customers come back. I ate pretzels across the world, and in Calgary but oh my! so disappointed by the service, it literally cuts your appetite or craving. The manager/ owner should really review the staff training to keep up with the business. For the first time I regret the purchase

This place is better with the new additions and renovations, but the rest of the building needs desperate upgrading to match the new modern aesthetic of the new additions. The new food court is especially attractive due to the vaulted ceilings and open windows running around allowing for more natural light and less use of electrical lighting.

Giving it a 4 star. Would be great if there was a small food court at the other end. So older customers wouldn't have to walk all the way to one end for a bite to eat. Looking forward to renos being finished so we can walk thru to theatre once again. Can't wait till mall is upgraded. Food court end looks great.

A good mall with many different types of stores that can attract to your needs or wants. The food court is great with the many options you can chose from and the staff of the mall keep it clean. Also the mall has a Arcade connected to the food court and the theatre, it is a great way to kill time. All of the stores have great workers that make every store feel great to be in. There could be more improvements to the mall, but overall it will stay great for a long time.

All those upgrades and yet there is no diaper change station in the men's room. My husband had to change our baby on the floor. Very disappointed to learn this considering the beautiful nursing/change room in the women's washroom. Its 2018, get with the times.

Nice clean place. Good selection at the food court. I was taken back by the station for your trays where there is a gentleman that takes the tray and cleans off etc. The rest of the mall has a bunch of stores that cater to folks who aren't an East Kootenay small town guy of the 99th percentile, size wise. Other than that, it was pleasant. Full of Albertans though. Lol

Critical Identity

With this being our only mall in the city it definitely has a fairly good variety of stores. The mall has recently undergone some major renovations such as the new front entryway, new food court, and new entryway to reach the new Marshals and Home Sense. Our mall lacks some of the main fashion stores that are common to most malls so don't expect to come for a fabulous shopping spree. Although you will find your basic mom stores like Ricki's and The Bay there isn't much for teens or younger women.

The mall is not what it once was. Tons of spaces for lease, and the two anchor stores (the bay and sears) are in need of serious renovations. It would probably just be a waste of money though, as Sears USA continues struggling mightily. The food court, the theater, and all the telecom stores seem to be the only stores that attract people in today internet connected society. It also has a weird layout. Kinda shaped like a small letter t, and all the hallways lead towards the middle. They took out the fountain recently to provide more floor space, but in my opinion took out some character too. Now it just looks plain and boring. Their is random clear windows instead of a roof allowing natural sunlight in. There is like 10 phone dealers in the mall, so I guess if you need a phone, it is the place to go. The surviving stores are mostly for younger shoppers (30 years or younger) with the exception of the aforementioned Sears and the Bay. A few stores that you cant get products similar anywhere else in the hat unless you make a trip to Calgary or Lethbridge.

Not a destination at all - The brands of this mall are lack luster , fading or dying. The food services section offers restaurants that have multiple locations in town. I suggest online shopping for clothing and more local shops outside of the mall have better product and shopping experience.

4 stars because they got a new add on and it is very nice but the other parts of the mall that have been there for years are very old and dirty and you can tell they went maintained very good but they have everything you need there from food to clothing to beauty products. Generally, an okay mall for my tastes, but very good if you like specialty clothing and beauty boutiques...and it has about three cell stores per square foot. I don't know how long the new Target will survive, considering their sparsely filled shelves and lack of variety, but their prices are good, and I'd hate to see it sink. Remember the death throes of Eatons, Woolworth/Woolco/Kmart/Kresge, SAAN, the Met, etc.? Dearly missed...my family would get our food at Safeway, then go to one of the above marts to shop for clothes, shoes, and school supplies on the cheap, and then we'd all fill up at suppertime at the inevitable built-in cafeteria with plates of thick-cut or wavy-cut chips (french fries, before we shed the British name for them) drenched in thick, brown, savory gravy. Mmmm. The mall food court has every taste covered, from NY Fries to tacos to Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and the almighty Tim. And chips 'n gravy is all now poutine - same basic foundation, augmented with cheese curds - double mmmm. I could go for some ri...sorry, I lost my train of thought...the MHM is altogether good, but would benefit from a dedicated toy/game/collectible shop for nerds like me, and perhaps another health food store or a dollar mart...and a better arcade leading into the cinema - I know home consoles are amazing, but I miss the arcade's cachet. So, to sum up, good for specialties, but lacking in stores for us geeks and thrifty folk.

My first visit to Medicine Hat Mall was positive; I was especially fond of the unique mirror maps to give directions to individual retailers. It was disappointing to see so many shop fronts closed, however it seems a sad side effect of the pandemic. Those that were open were bright, meticulously clean, and maintaining strict social distancing measures.

This place sucks we took our kids to see Santa on Christmas we we're there for 20 minutes and got a $ 50 ticket. We pulled into a parking spot where another vehicle was pulling out. Everyone around us got a ticket and there was no sign and the lines were not visible.

I personally am not a fan of the Medicine Hat mall parking lot I find for the size of this city the parking lot is insufficient. The mall is ok for stores but due to high rent rates there are many stores that closed and there are lots of empty spaces. The mall needs to bring in stores that we don't already have in the city.

Christmas is coming people love to hang out at the mall and eat. Lots of space is in renovation but at the same time most of store are closing. If you are from other town and just visiting, this is at least a better place because you don't have a choice. That is why i go to Lethbridge and Calgary just to go shopping. (My opinion only)

Store selection right now is terrible, with more stores closing every month. There is nearly more stores closed than there is open now. The new renovation that's coming will likely force more stores to close with the rising cost of rent in the already costly mall. Another thing that kills about the mall, the hours are TERRIBLE. The mall closes early on weekends and most holidays! Goodluck getting any shopping in if you're a working student and have to work weekends and holidays. In the end, the mall is in desperate need of new management/ownership to bring it into the 21st century and bring it new life!

I don't like the fact that security follows me around everytime I go near that place. I've never stolen from the mall and I don't plan on doing it. I was waiting for the bus once sitting on a bench right by the front door, only place I had been the entire time I was there. And a security officer walked up and stood about 10 feet away and literally stared at me with his arms crossed giving me a dirty look. Made me feel very uncomfortable, and now I avoid that place unless absolutely necessary. Just because I have a backpack doesn't mean I'm stealing. What I do requires me to have certain tools and supplies with me in case I get some work while I'm out and about. Hence the backpack. Can't recall how many times I've been asked to check my bag by security, and then apologized to for the misunderstanding. The other customers all looking at me like I'm stealing afterwards is spectacular for the anxiety. Thanks medicine hat mall cops for profiling me and making me shop elsewhere.

Since coming under new ownership, the mall has dramatically changed from new stores and chains like Bed Bath & Beyond to Marshalls and Homesense. Renovations have brought a lively colorful atmosphere to what was once a very outdated and uncared for mall.

As far as small town malls go this is a good stop — especially after the renovation. The new food court provides a nice atmosphere that makes up for a pretty limited selection. Stores in the mall are varied and offer a good number of brands/outlets that you would find in larger centers. However, there are many empty bays which doesn’t show well. There are some good things going here — but at the end of the day it’s still just big box, chain style shopping. Do yourself a favor and shop from smaller, local or national brands.

While i understand that management is trying to bring in more bucks to keep the mall going they should really be working on the majorly leaky roof. They painted everything first, bad move, since everytime it rained it ruined and bubbled the paint on the roof and then making huge puddles on the floor before staff could get pales under the drips. The food court is rarely clean, stuff all over the floor and tables are almost always filthy. A lot of the shops have had renovations which helps the over all look of the mall but sadly cant hide the ugly water holes on the roof, again, a lot of stores have rubber hoses coiled along their signs for when it rains so they can just lower it into a bin to drain. Over all......it has potential...but sadly is far from being sooner rather than later.

Love this place carters and bath and body works are my favorite stores lol. Never to crowded. The only thing I don't like is they dont enforce the mask rule and people just parade around without them. But Its a nice size... has nice stores and all the staff I've dealt with have been very pleasant. My daughter and I love just walking around there :)♡

Medicine Hat Mall is a spacious, airy gathering of shops with choices for almost all your needs. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 restrictions have dampened many activities there. Nonetheless, if cold or too hot temperatures are a problem outdoors, you can still go to the Medicine Hat mall for a coffee/tea, pretzel stroll around the walkway.

Stopped by MHM to do some shopping, the mall is nice and clean and well lit. Has all regular shops and business as every other mall has. No problem with parking as there is ample spaces. If you feel hungry while shopping there is a few choices at the food court although right now you can't sit down anywhere which can make it tuff. All in all the mall is pretty good but Covid is really hurting some outlets.

The Medicine Hat mall has made huge changes in the last couple of years. It's definitely modernized itself. For a small town mall, this is definitely one that's worth stopping at. The food court looks amazing and has plenty of options and the theatre is still awesome to go to. The rest of the mall has kept its 4 corridor feel but is kept clean and easy to navigate.

The mall is filled with many awesome stores. Food court was just remodeled and looks amazing. Facilities are always clean washrooms were also remodeled and are very modern. Be warned that as of May 12 2018 the old food court area is still under construction.

I called and inquired about a parecel that i payed extra for 2 day shipping, and when i asked, i got an "i dont know, have you considered its a monday and its near the holidays"? A security officer was blocking a lane in the parking lot rather than pulling into a safe spot to issue her ticket. The situation nearly caused an accident but when I tried to call her attention to the situation, she went all alpha female on me. As a security officer, she should be safety aware and should also lose the attitude

Great smoothies at Orange Julius and the food court is clean and the prices are good. A bit noisy at times to eat there. On weekend afternoons the seating can be an issue. Been in the Ardene's store there. Awesome offerings if you are on a budget. The other stores are unique and if you look carefully you can find bargains. Some of the store staff need to learn some manners. Often I feel like if you aren't super hot looking they could not be bothered to do their jobs. Really like the billiards stores too. The staff are great in there. If they don' have it they know where you can go to get it. I like that. Overall the Mall is a bit pricey.

The Medicine Hat mall is actually looking like a mall these days.... I was quite impressed as I hadn't been in the mall in quite a while. I had never been in Home Sense before but I did notice that there was only one staff member on. Other than that, I really liked the store. It's my understanding that there will be some new stores opening before Christmas as well. The MHM has needed a face lift 4 a long time and it's looking good.

I had the worst customer service experience of my life in this store , I had bought a pair of DVs shoes wore them for 3 mins and decided to exchange for a smaller size , the two younger women running the store that day were extremely ignorant and were clearly up set that they had to do some extra work to help me get the shoe exchanged never will I shop there again

Went shopping for summer attire and found great sales they seemed to be everywhere for women's clothes. The best spots that I did find were Cleos, Ardennes had clothes, shoes, jewelry, purses etc and some of their bargains were buy 1 at regular price and get second one for a $1 so now I have a few new pair of shoes Yippee! Then as if that wasn't enough, I went to Old Navy they had some really nice summery clothes all kinds of styles with tons of styles in bright colors plus you could go on line and get BETTER BARGAINS! I did make a few trips back and forth to the mall because they had so much to choose from and I just kept finding more and basically I ended up with a new summer wardrobe for a very low cost thank you very much!
