Right now this business has a score of 4 out of 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very positive, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we can think that the rating is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Mall is included in the category of Shopping mall.
Bought some boots had coffee staff was great an very helpful in the few stores i was in .
Always lots of room at the theatre! Never sold out
So I used to work here. I loved my job, but the mall itself was pretty lackluster. Even prior to covid, it was a fairly dead mall. Most of the stores have completely closed, although there's still some helpful ones like shoppers, Dollarama and the food court. It's a business mall, so the majority of the business comes from those who work in the neighboring tower. A few years back this mall was great, although its just not what it used to be anymore. Hopefully that'll change in the future, or maybe it could be turned into something resourceful like a shelter for the downtown homeless population.
Edmonton's Largest Homeless Shelter. **DO Not Stay Here if you're going to the Citadel** About 2/3rds of the mall is either vacant or closed and there are homeless people sleeping or shooting up in most pedways. The security is a joke, they are rude, and not helpful in the least. Oh, and all the pedways and entrances to the mall close at 7pm. So if you took the pedways to the Citadel, there is no hope of coming back through the mall. You have to walk around the entire mall for blocks to find another entrance that isn't locked, but don't worry, they have plenty of homeless people outside, so you'll never be lonely. The insane amount of construction in the area also makes it incredibly hard to navigate to the Delta or other hotels. This mall is dying, and rightfully so. I just plain don't feel safe here, there are more shops closed than open, and the construction in the area ensures a frustrating trip.
Ah, Downtown Edmonton, how I envy you so. Many times down town why do I always make meself in to these strange places. The people have a great sense of character and of most of all there's the new train station about find a block to post and go soon enough
Quiet and not crowded. As restrictions are off, the don’t have benches. Yes, it’s possible that the only way to sit is at the top floor food court, nothing below.
Excellent location and cool architecture the way they join several buildings with bridges. Several of the merchant spaces are currently closed permanently perhaps due to COVID or due to the copious amounts of construction in the surrounding area. The food court is awesome and there are still plenty of great stores operating on site.
Centrally located downtown. I like the fact that I can stop and shop with ease and catch my bus within minutes.
This place looks like an apocalyptic disaster happened in here. It was actually depressing to see such a a nice and lively place, going dead.????????????????????????
It's a mediocre offering compared to West Edmonton Mall. But, who would be able to live up that type of shadow. Still plagued with the homeless but then again I myself used to live there more or less lol
Downtown mall for a quick lunch time shopping, eating and walking. Quite big and a good shelter for downtown walking during winter.
It’s nice I’d definitely go there again
Like the layout of the mall too bd a lot of stores have closed
I don't remember going here on this date even the guy with me doesn't remember anything too
There is so many good shops for buying the clothes and food court is also available if you are hungry while shopping ????
Lots of security keeping mooching homeless in the area under control. My experience there was that I found the store's there a little over priced.
I thought it was a good day shopping here I enjoyed it but a bit too busy maybe..
The mall itself is fine but the area surrounding it isn't great. Why go downtown when you can go to WEM and avoid the beggars.
Covid precautions and protocols have reduced this mall to a few straggling visitors and quite a few security guards. As an Edmonton senior, I was always made to feel welcome in all city malls. However, at ECC I was cautioned a few times about loitering, which frankly, caught me by surprise. The few shops that are open, all seem to have big discounts, yet very few shoppers are apparent. I do not find Edmonton City Centre Mall to be a senior friendly place at all.
I always have a good day roaming throughout the centre for social change and window shopping.
Everything you need under one roof Also a very cool art space hoping local artists to be heard. They even have art shows from the artists at night from Friday to Saturday. Very ???? if you are a art fan.
Wonderful to see the ping pong tables and kids toys set up and ready for kids to play
The mall is quite sad now a days with more and more shops closing there doors almost monthly, hopefully they can turn this around and get some solid tenants in there soon. But the Winners is great and the movie theater is open again!
Not a bad place, now that more area’s are opened up it’s nice, also having the charging ports in the food court makes it awesome so phone’s and laptop’s(or switch’s) can be charged on the go. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is there needs to be more signage for what area goes to what street, in my opinion, unless I’ve just missed the signage.
The mall is a nice place to go if you want peace and quite to do your shopping. It’s not overly crowded, has unique stores. It’s clean and very nice staff at most stores :)
A beautiful mall when you can find all what you need
Amazingly some of it is still in business! Probably not for long though, a memorial walk through Edmonton's dieing city center.
Nice and convenient to drop in here if you live downtown and find just about anything you may be looking for. While the pandemic has had a number of stores closed here, there are still a number of them open. This has just made is so there are less people out and about here, making it easier to get from place to place.
Lot of things to do here..in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Many shopping outlets, a movie theater, banks, post office and more. Close to transit. There may be a few shady people there; like most places downtown. But, other than that it's a nice place.
I lost my wallet here and didn't notice till I got home on the west end. Thankfully the security found it and gave it to guess services, so when I called and asked they said they had it. It was super easy to get back. Beautiful and fun mall too! So much here!
Wonderful to see the ping pong tables and kids toys set up and ready for kids to play
The five stars I'm giving for the City Centre is to keep in consideration the pandemic has caused for the downtown core - namely the huge number of stores that have closed their doors. Through no fault to the mall owners or the shops that couldn't survive this pandemic, they keep the place clean, stylish, safe and accessible (and the washrooms clean as well) Let's cut them some slack. Hopefully, whenever things come back to some semblance of normal, we'll see the Edmonton City Centre spring back to its former glory.
Terrible and swarming with as many guards as shoppers. Didnt feel comfortable. What are you guarding in an almost dead mall?
A place to warm yourself. Never to willfully visit.
It’s a downtown mall, it’s got lots of stores. A new food court that is clean an open and well lit. A good selection of stores. I work in one of the office buildings that is part of the mall so when the weather is bad or nasty cold there is easy access to transit both to buses and the rapid transit so you don’t have to go outside. I live in Northeast Edmonton so I don’t drive to downtown but take transit. Anyways I diverge from the topic at hand Edmonton City Centre Mall. It’s great and have been coming to it for many years. For a mall it’s good and has all the amenities you would expect from banks to clothing shops and food service and everything in between.
The HiveMind That Is Reddit Has Killed This Mall. Dont Believe The Goofs Of reddit The Mall Is Nice DownTown is Bestest Not Worstest
City Centre, I have been going there for many year's. I go shopping there and meet friend's usually enjoy going to Churchill square and or library. I like his it's connected to alot of places downtown Edmonton.
Loved it always 10/15minute wait, give a take a few. Depends on which preferences
What's going on... A skeleton of what this place could be. Life needs to be pumped in our downtown and this mall could use an AED shock to the ticker.
Went to do an office move with Highlands few times. Very nice place. Love coming here!
Amazing place to go shopping. But watch out for travellers there’s a lot of homeless, and they will do something’s to grab your money from you or stealing.
Clean. Looks better than it did. Food court upstairs now.thanks security for letting.me.know this. Followed the signs to the washrooms but they were locked tight. Thanks for that. Took 2 stars as we were turned away at the Parkade entrance because the mall is closed well we need to change and we need to go this way. And the bathroom ordeal
Security thinks the own the place the way they walk around bossing some people around.. and hitting on the cute ladies that shop there.. ( hint to security it's not a bunny ranch...) no wander theft is up there, there too busy trying to score then doing there job......
Kind of a sad mall. Building is nice but most things are closed and what remains are lackluster.
They really use this space for awesome events: food festivals, art installations, shows. I just with that there was better restaurants off the square.
Was a quick in and out but every staff I ran into was so pleasant to my goddaughter (3 years old) who was literally handing her money away.
A new hair dresser for Men & Women has become an AWESOME full fledged master of hair cutting. Good Job. Thank-You.
This used to be my favorite spot in edmonton but now looks as though it is deserted sad to see
I don't mind the city center only thing is.....all the ice and some drivers need to know how to drive and the bus system works good all around the city so if u are trying to get to city centre there is a bus near you that can bring u here if u wana avoid the crazy rush of traffic and remember wear a seatbelt and no dope er alcohol on them roads the roàds are terrible as is .. Thx Matt.L????????????
There are almost no stores in this mall. The owners need to do something to encourage stores to rent their space. Parking needs to be free to encourage visitors from outside the core.
This may be a good place for those who work in downtown but the stores are very limited. Parking in the area is a challenge and expensive.
City center is a great place to go shopping, lots a good shops in there including dollar store. Good place to meet new people and friends.
Not the best mall security is all over the place harassing ppl. And good luck finding a washroom.
Its ok, but wish it had some more popular stores
Didn't go there drove past it I guess
Lots of empty space but still a good place to walk n see downtown
Anything you can get at this mall you can get at another mall with the added benefit of no homeless. Recommend that you audio, and if safe to do so, video record any interaction with mall security. The under ground pedway from Churchill Station to the mall has been occupied by homeless. If you are brave enough to enter the mall with this route, use a N95 or better mask. The homeless there practice open drug use and station security will not patrol that pedway.
This is a dead place. Not worth the paid parking even crossing to that wasted money on a library I still want my money back. Can't back the time but please save yours by going somewhere else worth visiting.
Mall is big, clean with lots of shopping options. Food court is clean & has many different Cuisines to choose from. The mall connects you to many other buildings in downtown, without having to go outside, especially during Winter. The elevators & escalators are very conveniently placed. Generally crowded during lunch time on week days, because of office goers throng the place for their food/drinks. After 4 pm, a bit deserted & some of the outlets close by 3 pm itself. Shopping options are very good. Definitely worth visiting. Well secured place.
Clean mall considering its down town. I live what they've done with the food court moving it upstairs from the basement. It looks a thousand times brighter and cleaner than I remember it.
Convinient if you work in downtown. Have heard a lot of vacant spaces are up for lease after covid though.....
Rotten mall management wouldn't even let the Bear clan patrol handout necessities like, food, blankets and masks to homeless. Rotten.
Unfortunately this mall is basically a pedway from one block to another. Not many stores, weird hours.
This mall is dead! Came here on a Saturday, most stores were closed, not sure if for the weekend or permanently. The only big name stores left are sportcheck and winners. Only 1 rest room in the entire mall was open for use by the food court and even that was being cleaned so it was out of order for a bit. Big difference from the last time we were here a couple years ago. Don't waste your time coming here... it's like going to mill woods mall but worse. At least mill woods has free parking.
They are stingy on washrooms, there is no place for handicap to sit if have to come for appts.
Banning food and care for the homeless is repulsive behaviour in extreme cold. This mall has a reputation of poor treatment of indigenous peoples, including the removal of a tribal chief from the mall for no reason other than being indigenous. There are better places to shop and support in Edmonton. Buy local.
Why can't they just have a map here. This place is a maze, yet quite clean. 2 out of 5 stars.
Not a lot of places to sit down in this mall, but it has a fairly good selection of stores and an interesting layout
Convenient! undergound is LRT station
I think City center mall should be ashamed of its actions by banning that lady from handing out stuff to the vulnerable citizens of edmonton it seems the people that run that mall have lost there humanity and compassion during a time when helping people is needed we should boycott this mall so everyone within the organization can suffer for their beliefs and actions and be held accountable. I say shame on you City center . YOUR SLOGAN SAYS START AT THE HEART BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT HAVE ONE AND YOUR ACTIONS CONTRADICT THIS .
This aging mall is located in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. The mall administration loves to promote this fact in their adverts (Start in the Heart!), but there really isn’t much here to draw anybody. The majority of storefronts are empty, there are sketchy people all over the place either smoking or shooting up, and security everywhere who seem to do nothing but stand around. The food court on the top floor is newly renovated and has a good selection of restaurants. That’s about it. There’s so much potential in Downtown Edmonton. I’d love to be able to take the LRT downtown and wander around comfortably but I can’t with the state our downtown is in now. When more people live and visit downtown, the more safe it will feel.

Great atmosphere and lots to do like the cinema there Too.
It's sad to see very little traffic in this mall. It seems like it's losing a lot of the popular stores. Hopefully they can attract more shoppers. They should start by offering free parking on weekends!!!
Just saw a video of them moving out Bear Clan Patrol and been their leader for trying to provide support to our cities' unhoused population. Shameful
The pandemic has not been kind to this mall. It's starting to look post apocalyptic inside.
Good place to grab something during the workweek!
Pretty sorry excuse for a mall these days. Covid has hit hard. The Bay anchor is gone as are all of my favourite shops. Used to be my "go to" and closest mall. Not worth it now. Very sad. Hopefully it will rise again.
Many of the shops have closed due to pandemic. The Winners store there however has much more variety and good prices than their other stores in the city.
I was very surprised that many items are not fount in this store while in Lucky store in Castledown I found all items I need. I really appreciate Mr. Mohammed who works in the Meat and chicken department. He helped me in preparing ground meat.
I was at Roger's, and they were very helpful in getting my sim card and accessories. I got what I was looking for and then some. 2 otter boxes, 2 screen savers ,2 fast chargers 1 set of ear buds and 1five foot chord c-c
It's got some good services but alot of criminal elements to it too. Be careful of people, as always but do your shopping too.
