Got locked out of the boot of my 2005 BMW (Euro deadlock system) outside Ingleburn shops. Called up to ask for a quote, was told 350-500 as it would be a 1.5-3 hour job. While awaiting their arrival, a small part of the bootlight on the bootlid was smashed open to try access the quick release and make the locksmiths job easier . The locksmith was unprofessional and non courteous on arrival compared to other experiences, kept claiming we had told him the wrong year model and key type even though it was clarified as an 04 Bmw on the phone. He then clumsily attempted to open the bootlock for 20 minutes before realising that the tail light had been suitably smashed, upon discovery of this which he was easily able to open the boot lock. He then had the courtesy to tell us if he had realised the light was smashed earlier he would have opened the lock within 5 minutes. After which he charged us 400$ for 25 minutes work at 1030pm on a weeknight. Disappointed and not coming back. Called up the locksmith and was told we would get a call back and nothing.

He arrived in 10min, spent a very cheerful 40min determined to gain me entry with a very tricky lock... resorted to climbing across TWO balconies to enter through another door and subsequently 'unstuck' my tricky lock from the inside. What a gem & a gentleman. You are my go-to locksmiths now and I've told the building manager too so it's my intention that you are the guys to service all of our building's locksmith needs. Highly recommend the lads at Macarthur. Needed a new type of Samsung digital lock installed at the very last minute after 3pm on a Friday after door installer bailed on the job. Adam turned up on time and despite the clear difficulties of giving of installing a very unconventional device that needed unusual tools and very slow methodical process with brand new solid timber entrance door, Adam persevered with precision for many hours to ensure a working lock without damaging the delicate frame of our rather slim timber door.

Huge shout out to Brett from MacArthur locksmiths who took time out on leave whilst the business was closed to FaceTime me and walk me thru starting my car which needs a new ignition barrel. Without Brett’s help I would be stuck without a car for work this week. Engaged Macarthur Locksmiths to install some locks for us on a security door. I selected several locks which the company then ordered and were due to install once they had been received. The boys that came and did the locks were good although not sure why there needed to be two of them. There was some damage done to the architraves which they said was unusual and had never happened before. Knowing how wood can sometimes splinter like that I wasn't too surprised given the stress put on the wood and I have since repaired. So ok. But then after clean up the technician comes and charges me nearly $1,300.00!! Needless to say I could not hide my shock and confirmed with the tech that I was not quoted a price otherwise I might have reconsidered! He took my details and advised he would have an invoice emailed to me. A week later still no invoice. I followed up and was then provided with an invoice detailing the breakdown of the bill. The ~$80 call out fee surprises me seeing as I'd arranged for the locks and installation weeks earlier and they came at their convenience to do the job - there was no "call out". On top of that was labour at ~$142 which I didn't have too much an issue with, but the remainder was suggested to be the cost of the locks! I questioned the lock prices given I could have bought them all at Bunnings for less than $500 and asked them to review and look into it. No response. Followed them up a week later. No Response. Sent a concerned follow up again 2 weeks later which finally prompted a reply saying that the prices were correct and the recommended retail prices from the manufacturer. Apparently Bunnings are able to sell the locks $600 CHEAPER as they buy in bulk! I went directly to a locksmith as I figured they would get trade prices on locks and seeing as I didn't have the time to get to Bunnings and to install them myself I outsourced the whole lot to Macarthur Locksmiths. Had I been quoted I would not have accepted this and could have instead saved myself $600 odd dollars. I did ask them how they managed their other customers getting these sorts of shocks and I suggested that there probably needed to be some warning for consumers. No response. So here I am, consider yourself warned!

This afternoon I stupidly locked myself out of my house and of course looked like I'd just crawled out of bed standing in front of my house wondering how on earth I was going to get back inside before the storm hit. I phoned Macarthur Locksmiths and Brett was so friendly, gave me an exceptional ETA, was on time, affordable and so friendly and professional. He had me back inside with my 2 very impatient dogs in no time at all. He also reassured me that this kind of thing happens all the time to many people so there was nothing for me to feel embarrassed about which really eased my anxiety. I cannot thank him enough. Don't know what has changed but these guys used to be a lot better. The whole process of getting an alarm was a nightmare, in particular getting pricing and advice. She was wrong and when I pointed it out she straight up lied to me to. I ended up going with another locksmith company and couldn't be happier.

The local service agent Adam was excellent, exchanging several locks quickly and also keeping the single service fee despite having to come back again to get additional parts for a garage lock. The price as quoted on the phone, however, was $80 less than final. I can understand adjustments but this was way too big a difference in pricing. I was able to look passed that due to the quality of service from Adam.

I Called Macarthur Locksmiths because I had been locked out of my house at 10pm at night. The locksmith came straight out and let me in. It only took him a few minutes. I was so impressed. I spoke to him and he helped me by saying that all my locks could be put on 1 key instead of the 5 keys I had for my place. I rang the next day and got the job done. The Lady who took my call was very helpful and worked around my schedule to get the job done. Very professional and helpful. Will be using them in the future for all my locksmithing needs. The young man working there is very nice and friendly, but there is an old man there who is very rude and unprofessional. Once day I just touched the main door handle and the old man screamed "just wait outside". He could have said it without being rude too. And then when I waited outside, and when he came outside, he didn't even say hello or anything. Very unprofessional old man there.
