The in store experience was great, and the staff more than helpful! I had a key cut for my rental suite. The next time I went to enter the suite, after getting the key cut, the door wouldn't open. I called Vernon Lock and Safe, and Ken told me he would come to check it out right away! He was there within 15 minutes. The problem was not with the key at all, but a shifting door frame that was jamming up. He got me into my suite, and informed me of a potential future problem (which had nothing to do with keys or their service!!). I would highly recommend this business to anyone. GREAT customer service.

Hubby jammed the wrong key into our car's roof box and ended up pulling the barrel out then refused to get outside help after he gave up on trying to fix it himself. Been there a few times. However, last time an employee tried telling me the key I needed cut was special and needed a chip which costs $30 instead of $5. I knew it didn't. I told him he was wrong and about 5 years early for the chip. He refused he was wrong. So i bought the non-chip key. Guess what started my vehicle.. watch for the scam.

I took some door locks off a recently purchased house in to have Vernon Lock and Security systems to re-key. Shortly after getting them back I found out the locks were actually Weiser Smart key locks and could have been rekeyed myself for a fraction of the price they charged. Surely they would have known this when I brought the locks in but kept it to themselves and happily charged me for my ignorance. Not very trustworthy and expensive for bringing in the locks to them.
