Beware of this towing company. In the winter of 2018 my car skidded off the road straight in to a snow bank and got stuck. Everything was intact and there wasn't even a single scratch on my car due to driving in to the snow. Even the number plate in front of the car was intact. Because there was absolutely no damage, instead of calling the insurance company, I called my road side assistance company for winching service who dispatched Preferred Towing of Sarnia with a flat bed truck. Tow truck driver was completely inexperienced and ill-equipped. He did not clean any snow around the car at all. Instead of winching the car straight out just like the way it went in, tow truck operator tied a sling around the rear passenger side wheel of the vehicle and started winching side wise in short bursts right over the heaps of tightly packed snow and the snow bank. There was a time when the car no longer moved towards the tow truck and kept on getting jammed on the snow bank, but the tow truck operator continued his attempts to winch in short bursts. At that point the worst thing I could imagine happened; instead of my car moving towards the truck, the whole flat bed tow truck moved towards my car, and right then I was sure that massive damage has now been done to the rear wheel, linkage, guards at the rear of the wheel and rear bumper. If I had the slightest idea in advance about how this tow truck company and their drivers work, I would have video-ed the whole operation. Once I challenged the driver about why he acted so irresponsibly he completely denied that he caused the damage even after the fact that we both walked around the car, before he started winching the car, and we both noticed absolutely no damage. Just for the sake of argument, even if I accept that the damage was already there, then why would he even tie a sling around a broken wheel; so the obvious conclusion would be that the wheel, bumper etc. were absolutely intact, and that's why he went ahead and tied the sling around it. When I called the office of Preferred Towing, as expected, their office staff told me that I have no proof that their operator has broken my car with his wrong winching technique. When I filed claim with my insurance company, they did repair my vehicle. Insurance company was even nice enough to charge no deductible and neither did they increase my premium; because they realized how irresponsible and untrained the tow truck operator of the Preferred Towing Company was and the the damage happened due to absolutely no fault of mine. As a reply to my review, owner commented that they are not able to comment. No wonder he cannot comment because he has no excuse. If I would have recorded the incident on my cell phone, I would have dragged them to the court of law for failure to do due diligence. I urge people to stay away from this towing company unless they have absolutely no other choice. If you have no other choice, please make sure you record the whole process. This will help you in litigation and insurance claim.
