What a great company. I called yesterday in the afternoon. I had to get my lock changed ASAP on my apartment door as I had a order for protection signed by a judge that day against my abusive husband. I only had a limited amount of time to get that lock changed. They gave me a accurate quote and most fair option over the phone. Stated they would be there at 5:15 and they were. The gentleman that performed the service was very professional and kind caring man. He also knew about restraining orders and rights. He was very nice and I would recommend them to my mother, sisters, nieces anybody. If I ever have any lock issues in the future this is the only business that will get my business. Price was similar to other places I've used in the past, but probably took about half the time. They were able to schedule me in on short notice (after a burglar had kicked my door in and broke my old lock.) My boyfriend and I took a trip to Minneapolis which is two hours from home. We accidentally locked the keys in the car and called the first locksmith we found which was Fast Eddy's. Long story short, I called this company as my boyfriend was trying to pick the lock with a small pocket knife as a last ditch effort. I hung up and no more than two minutes later he popped the lock so I called the company back to cancel the service. I wasn't going to pay for him to come out if we had just opened the door. When whoever it was answered the phone I explained what happened and the man replied " of course, f***ers," and hung up on me. I apologize that I needed to cancel, it was a freak thing, but there was no need for that kind of language.

I am in the process of selling my house and a (well-intentioned) realtor locked every conceivable lock in my house. Unfortunately, I was only carrying keys for specific locks. It was also about 10 degrees outside and so I was locked out and cold. I called Eddy and he was at my house in 10 minutes and had the lock open in 5 minutes. Not only that, but he helped me remove the locking mechanism on the door so that it wouldn't happen again. I don't always lock myself out, but when I do, I call Eddy.

Hurray! I thought I was in real trouble when the ONLY key I had to get into my car snapped off in my trunk lock. I called Eddy and he was willing to come out the same day, but suggested I wait until the next morning so we were off of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (saving me about $60 that he easily could have pocketed!). He arrived the next morning and did his work quickly, despite it being about 0 degrees outside. Since my trunk lock was already broken he wasn't able to remove the broken piece for me, but he made me a second spare key and knocked off another $40 from my total. I had never used a locksmith before but I know who I'll be calling if I ever need help again. It was very clear that he was there to help me and not just out for my money! Thank you Eddy! Stay warm!

He went above and beyond with helping to tighten loose door hinges which was causing extra friction on the lock. That never occurred to me. He also encouraged me to order a new Pello tumbler because mine will go out eventually and they are a custom part. This helps me be prepared and avoid a lockout or unsafe situation. I called Eddy with a non-urgent lock issue, and he arrived 30 minutes later to fix the issue. He was professional and honest. The issue was that my lock needed to be cleaned (though that's probably not the industry word for it...). Within 10 minutes of arriving, Eddy had the lock working good as new and charged only a $10 labor charge on top of the base "service call" fee, which was reasonable as well. I highly-recommend Fast Eddy's for your locksmith needs!

Got here very quickly and got my keys out for which I am thankful, but I don't have a lot of Money and was calling and asking around for prices. I called Fast Eddie and he asked for my address when I asked how much they usually charge. Then he shows up and calls me and before he unlocked it I asked how much it would cost again. He still didn't answer, unlocked it and said "that'll be $65" Someone else I had found was going to do it for half the price they just couldn't come until 2 hours from now. Which I would have waited for if I had known. I'm not happy that the price was kept from me until the job was done. That's not fair to your customers sir.

I called Fast Eddy's after they came out and asked them if they noticed that while they were rekeying the locks. He didn't remember anything but he offered to come out immediately to take a look at it. This was late afternoon on a Friday. I told him it can wait until Monday. When he came on Monday, it turned out to be a pre-existing mechanical problem with the hardware. He fixed it anyway with spare parts he had with him in the van. And he wouldn't accept any money for his time or parts! This guy is the real deal. I can't recommend him highly enough.

But after he saw those, he recommended that I get new locks and change out the existing ones as it would cost the same as him rekeying the older locks which were not very good in the first place. Eddy was very quick to respond to my online request. His website stated under 50 minutes - it was less than that. I had lost the only key to my car and got two replacements from a dealer. They keys didn't work and the dealer wanted me to have the car towed to them (40 miles away) so that they could pull the codes. Rather than do that, I contacted Eddy and we originally arranged for him to come to my car to program the replacement keys that I had been given by the dealer. During the conversation it became apparent that the dealer had given me the wrong keys. Eddy easily could have charged me to come out, cut and program new keys that would work, but he identified the issue and told me to return to the dealer to get them to give me correct keys. He didn't need to do that and easily could have taken advantage of my situation. This was very much appreciated and I value his honesty and professionalism!
