My man dealt with the guy that came out after he accidentally snapped the key off into the lock, so I'm not sure how friendly or professional. I do know the service guy came out fairly quick but they quoted us at first 180 to 200. Then it was 200-250. Then the final bill was 265!! The invoice we got showed nothing of how it became that amount. Just Service call, key extraction, new key and Vin code. Is that worth 265 dollars?! Is this normal?? Seems like a total rip off! Geez!!

We requested service from Emerald locksmith to replace five locks at our house. The guy arrived and immediately started, without providing lock options. Once he began the job, we realized that the color he installed did not match the doors at all! When we asked for options, he told us that he only had a single set. The locks were also placed a little off. One of the keys we received did not work in the locks and ended up getting stuck. I would definitely not recommend this business for residential locks.

Overall, "meh" on my residential project. I regret the purchase. I bought a house and needed all the locks replaced. They only offer basic DeGuard and Kwikset residential locks, which was disappointing as I specifically asked on the phone about something mildly pick resistant and bump key/gun resistant (which those baseline models aren't). I also asked about new security strike plates that were larger on the phone and was told it wouldn't be a problem. It was clear that the technician wasn't interested or prepared to do that. So now I have box store locks on bad strike plates and paid twice the price for the convenience of not running the screwdriver myself. They were prompt and the technician was friendly, but I expected more and now have to find someone else to fix the strike plates. I was willing to pay more and wasn't on a timeline. The technician was great, but if your company doesn't do a service, just say so on the phone and I'll find someone else. I feel ripped off because I could have done a better job, it just would have taken some more time. Since they were prompt, they would be fine for a lockout (as their hundreds 5-star reviews attest), but not for a residential install.

The website changes the city based on where you live. so it came up as a local business even though they do not have a local tech. We called and were told it would be $30 service call charge, and the fee to open my truck door would start at $39. seemed reasonable. once the tech got there, he said the cost would be $160 to do the job, I asked why so high compared to what I was told on the phone. he complained about having to drive 45 min, and said that what they say over the phone is just marketing promotions., aka bs to get you to hire them. Since I needed to get in my truck I just paid the $160. This is a complete scam, bait and switch. clearly taking advantage of people. Plenty of other locksmiths around to give your business too.

I had trouble one morning entering and unlocking my car. Found this service through google and the service was excellent. Assistance was very timely and it only took him about 30 minutes to unlock my car as well as program a new key for my car. Micheal Sachez was the name of the technician at hand for me on this day. Arthur came out and replaced several locks for us. He did a great job. The doors shut better than before and he even made sure the locks matched the color/style my wife wanted and made sure they were all right side up. Very professional, personable, and efficient. Price seemed a bit excessive, but 4 new locks at Home Depot would've cost ~400, so a 20% markup for labor wasnt actually that bad.
