I had an emergency at work today and needed a door opened quickly. I gave Laing's Lock and Key a call and had the door open in under half an hour! I can not be more satisfied with the customer service I received and will definitely be giving them a call in the future. If you want hassle free service give Laing's a call!

Jim helped me rekey some locks. He arrived when expected got to work right away and got everything done in the time he estimated. The price he estimated was also right on. I'd use him again for sure!

So called Laing's because I needed a cylinder reset on a Weiser Smartkey deadbolt. According to Weiser customer support, not a complicated process and should take less than 10 minutes with a specialized tool. Mr Laing told me it would cost over $100 to do the job (($65 travel + 20 minutes to reset) and he would not use the tool because "Weiser doesn't like it." This despite Weiser specifically stating to me it would be fine...and to be honest it was my lock and if I was ok with the tool why not use it? Nevertheless, I did not challenge this difference in opinion but simply said I would pass on his services at which point he became rude and obnoxious. "So what are you going to do...throw away a $160 lock?" "At least I know my house locks at night". He was obviously upset I was not happy with his "quote" but not really an excuse to become arrogant and defensive. I called another company in Victoria (50+ years experience) and they did the job for me for $16 and it took 5 minutes. All this to say I would shop around for prices if you have the time. Did not find this company to be professional at all.
