I broke the key off in my ignition for my Dodge Caravan. It’s my work vehicle so any down time costs me money. I called in the morning and explained my predicament and asked for an estimate for the work that needed to be done. I was quickly given a quote and an estimate on how long the job might take. Later that day I swung by the business and they were quick to greet me and remembered that I had called earlier. It couldn’t have been more than 20 minutes and my broken key was removed from my ignition, they cut me a new one and reprogrammed the smart key (as it had an anti theft device built in) and boom I was back on the road! I was so impressed. The price was very fair. Don’t even bother with taking your vehicle to the dealership without calling Kildonan Lock first. You’ll save hundreds. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone who needs help with ANYTHING lock/key related. The shop is filled with plaques and certificates from years of various accreditations. They know their stuff. I would use this company again.

These people lie to their customers. They gave me a quote and then denied ever giving it. Then the guy starts yelling at me so I hung up. Worst company in Winnipeg. DON'T CALL THEM! Worst customer service I've ever had. In Response to their reply; You guys get better and better. I never modified anything. There are no electrical issues. No mention of another place. We never discussed anything of the sort. It's a lock issue, thus I call a locksmith and not an electrical auto repair service. The only time I may have sworn is when I tried to get you to fess up to lying, but instead you kept lying more and more. You were condescending and arrogant and were the one who was completely out of line. You guys are completely 100% full of beans. I've never encountered as much dishonesty in one place. So glad I didn't get stuck with such a wacky company. Be a man and own your mistakes, don't bury them in lies.

Top notch! I went because the key for my toolbox broke. The tech took one look at it, went behind the counter and cut the right key right away, then went outside with me and even got the locking mechanism working better than new. Got them to cut me another one right away too. These guys are great. I recommend them to everyone whenever the subject comes up.

I've had several keys copied here and they've all worked fine. The staff is very knowledgeable about, keys, locks, and other home security. They're a friendly bunch of folks and it looks like they enjoy what they do. Once (many years ago) I lost they keys for my locking gas cap, and one of the guys was able to pick the lock so that it could be removed and replaced. That was pretty awesome. I have relied upon them for years for all my security needs.

Great customer service, these guys go out of their way to satisfy the customer. I came in with an oddball automotive key which I didn’t expect they would have a blank for. They put in a lot of time searching for the right blank, and when they didn’t have it they were able to modify a blank they did have to make it work. It works as good as original, and the price was right.

Decided to rekey my deadbolt which I previously purchased from Kildonan. I removed the deadbolt, took it down to their Union Avenue location and was back in my car in 5 minutes. Really appreciated that Trevor had quickly given me a tip on how to reinstall it as installation was a breeze. I purchased an excellent quality lever door handle a couple years ago from Kildonan as I was having difficulty unlocking my old knob handle. I also had Kildonan come to install new locks on my garage last year - just a terrific family run company providing outstanding advice and service along with quality hardware.

Don't even bother with Home Depot or a Walmart vending machine, these guys will cut a key for anything. I have a 1975 vintage motor home with keys that nobody could match. In and out in 10 minutes and the duplicates work great.

Anytime I need a key cut I take it to Kildonan. Canadian Tire, home depot, etc. can never seem to make me a key that works properly. I have never had an issue with Kildonan.
