They wanted to charge me $80 for “one”car door key and charge me $30 for programming it, lol found the exact car door key on amazon for $6 cad for two keys and the programming takes less than 30 seconds to do which I found on google with 10 min research.

They saved me $450, which I appreciate more than words can say. The car dealership wanted to charge me $500 for the key I had issues with the ignition in my car, so I brought in the key to Dakota, they shaved it down slightly and the key worked no problem after. The staff was super accommodating and kind. I’ll definitely be going to them for all of my lock, key, and safe needs! I trust them fully to be honest and get the job done well.

Very nice people on the phone. Called to book a service on Friday( I was asked to send a picture so the tech could prepare for the call) , the appointment was set for Tuesday PM. Got a call from the service tech Tues AM saying they cant do the work. If I would have known on Friday, or even Monday, I could have made other arrangements. Now I'm stuck. Never calling again.

Got all the locks changed on our house when we first moved in. Dakota Lock & Safe came out to do the job. After a few days we realized they did not change the lock on one of our doors. A few weeks later we wanted to change the key fob lock to a regular deadbolt. I did all the work removing the key fob unit and purchased a deadbolt lock myself, however the hole in the door was too small for the new deadbolt. I called Dakota Lock & Safe to cut out the hole bigger. When they came out, all they did was jam the new deadbolt in until it fit and charged me $155 for the service call. Super unprofessional. Not impressed at all. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Words cannot express how happy I am with the quality of work and customer service brought on by Dakota Lock and Safe. The entire experience was a pleasure and I will never look further if I need a locksmith again. The technicians were extremely knowledgeable and polite (even when I asked them a million questions!) I spoke to a 'Don' (I think his name was) and he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, was gracious and even did a follow up to ensure I was satisfied with the entire situation. Cannot recommend these guys any higher. If I could give 10 stars I would. Dakota Lock and Safe are Rockstars. Keep up the good work!

On the 21 April 21. I went into the shop to have a couple of questions answered about padlocks. I was approached by one of the staff members. She answered all the questions I had in a professional manner. I had two padlocks keyed for the same key. Was out the door in about 20 minuets. The cost for the locks, was slightly more than expected. Will still go back, when the need arises. Was nice to support a local business.
